Klaus had been taking a week here and there to find werewolves to turn into hybrids. He was never gone long, he didn't like leaving his family. Rebekah had fully immersed herself in the current times. She was going to go to school when it started back up, she wanted to at least experience high school. Lyra noticed that Rebekah had been spending a lot of her free time with Stefan. Lyra had threatened Klaus to let his sister live her life. He politely agreed.

Elijah was finishing the preparations on the house Klaus had purchased. He and Lyra were going to wake Kol and Finn while Klaus was out of town. He figured that he would be able to talk them out of wanting to kill Klaus, Lyra had offered to help.

Lyra had set up a guest room for Luna. Her friend was never one to stick to a schedule, so she wanted to be prepared. She was excited to have Luna come and stay, she wanted her friend close.

Teddy was growing like a weed and his magic was too. He was now experiencing bouts of accidental magic. Damon was an unfortunate victim to one bout when he had stopped by during a nap protest.

Damon had been trying to be a better friend lately and would come over during nap time to talk. Lyra was happy their friendship was on the mend. Damon had started to date and he always asked Lyras opinion of the women.

Today when he showed, he could hear the little boy having a tantrum. Thinking nothing of it, he entered the house like usual, only the scene that greeted him was not usual.

Lyra was standing in front of a red faced, blue haired Teddy with her hands on her hips. "Edward Remus Lupin Black, you will take a nap! You're cranky and need to sleep" Damon knew that was her 'mom' voiced and watched as mother and son stared each other down.

Teddy's growl of "NO" made Damon snicker. Unfortunately, Teddy was having none of it and looked to the vampire, letting out another growl.

Damon didn't notice anything different but by the look Lyra aimed his way, he knew something was. She had tried to hold the laugh in but couldn't. Damon ran for a mirror. He was shocked that his skin was green and purple polka dot, with bright orange hair.

Damon screamed, "Fix me now!" at a still laughing Lyra. Luckily Teddy had calmed down so he wouldn't spell any other unsuspecting victims.

Lyra changed him back to normal and decided to give up on Teddy's nap. Guess it will be an early bedtime. The two sat and watched as the boy played while they talked about his most recent date.

Luna had come to visit and was planning to stay for an extended trip. Lyra was happy, she wanted Luna with her. After everything with her ex-friends, Lyra had cut everyone off. Luna was the only one who ever tried to reach out. Luna had waited for a couple days but she had finally brought up the conversation she needed to tell Lyra.

"I'm sure you don't want to hear about them but Hermione and Ron tried to start problems a couple of months ago" Luna started.

Lyra didn't want to think about the two but she needed to know if she should be prepared, "What problems" she asked.

"Rons been trying to convince people that you were turning dark. He and Hermione have been telling people that it was really them who did all the work during the war. Ron said that you resorted to dark spells to kill Voldemort" Luna told her.

"Let me guess, people actually believed them. I mean the public could never decide if I was their savior or the next dark lady. Fickle bunch of sheep" Lyra said, exasperated.

Luna gave a dreamy smile, "George actually was the one who exposed them and their lies. He went to a deep depression since Fred. Angelina was the only one who could pull him out, she really helped him. George called a press conference on the steps of his shop and told everyone that his brother was a liar"

Lyra smiled, "George has always been a no bs type of guy. I'm really happy he has Angelina. I kind of feel bad leaving him but Teddy is my priority, he will always come first" she told Luna.

"He knows, those who really know you, know and think you did the right thing. I'm ready to get out, I believe a lot are. Kingsley is trying but the purebloods still hold the power" Luna says, before adding "I think Ilvermorny would be a great place to send children" Lyra agrees. She already knows that Teddy will be going there.

Elijah opened the door to the now finished house and led Lyra inside. The two were going to wake Kol and Finn today. Hopefully things would be okay for when Klaus returned. Elijah led the way to where the coffins were. Lyra got chills when she seen them.

"Really living up to the whole 'Dracula' legend here" Lyra muttered, making Elijah laugh.

"Yes, Niklaus needed an easy way to transport us when he daggered us" Elijah told her.

"You're brother is twisted in the head" Lyra told him.

Taking a breath, Elijah walked up to the first coffin. Lifting the lid, he looked down to Kol. Lyra walked up next to him, putting a hand on his back.

"Is this Kol?" she asked quietly, he nodded and reached down to pull out the dagger.

As soon as the dagger was free, Lyra vanished it. She didn't want there to be any chance one could be used on Elijah. Luckily she could summon one back if she ever needed. She watched as Elijah repeated his actions with Finn.

"Now we wait" Elijah said, Lyra conjured a chair for them to sit on.

Kol was the first to wake. The surprise on his face was comical. "Did you kill Nik, brother" he asked Elijah.

Handing Kol a blood bag, Elijah shook his head. "No, I didn't. Things have changed and our family will be together now".

Kol looked skeptical, then he noticed Lyra "Ah, you brought me a snack"

Lyra rolled her eyes, Elijah wasn't as calm. He grabbed Kol by the collar of his shirt "Lyra is mine" he growled at a wide eyed Kol.

Needing to break up the testosterone, Lyra walked up to Elijah. Kissing him on the jaw she said, "Put your brother down, I'm sure he was only joking" glaring at Kol, she asked "Right"

Kol nodded. "A joke, yeah" he rubbed his neck when Elijah released him. Holding a hand out, he introduced himself "Kol Mikaelson, the handsome brother"

Lyra laughed, shaking his hand "Is that what they told you? I prefer my man in a suit" she winked towards Elijah when she said it.

Smiling, Elijah said "Drink this" he handed Kol another blood bag, looking to Finn "He should be up" but he didn't finish because Finn sat up.

Looking around, Lyra could tell he was very confused. "Hello Finn, would you like a blood bag" she asked, handing him the bag she had.

Finn looked to Kol and Elijah before he looked back at Lyra, "Who are you and why am I awake" he asked.

Elijah stepped forward, "Father is dead. We no longer have to run" he explained before taking Lyra in his arms, "This is Lyra, she and I are together" Lyra smiled up at Elijah before looking back to Finn.

Finn watched them for a moment before asking, "Where are Rebekah and Niklaus".

Elijah explained that Rebekah was preparing to start school and Niklaus was finding wolves. "She will be home later, Niklaus should be home this weekend".

Lyra bounced excitedly, "We are going to get you both looking current and Elijah set up your rooms so we will explain everything" she says to Kol and Finn, looking to Elijah she whispers, "I'm so happy you have your family back" Elijah smiles at that, leaning down to kiss her.

Neither notice the looks the other two are giving them.

Kol had so many questions about the technology while Finn steered clear of most of it. He spent his time in the library. Elijah had spent yesterday trying to get his siblings caught up with the help of Lyra and Rebekah. They were going to explore town today, Finn was gloomy about it but Kol was almost too excited. Luckily, Lyra, Luna and Teddy were going so they would have another witch to keep them in line.

Elijah pulled into the driveway and parked, "I will be right back" he told the two. They had asked Elijah and Rebekah many, many questions about things, including Lyra. Kol thought she was really interesting, he had met one of her kind before but he wanted to know more. Finn seemed to be warming to her, it was hard to hate yourself when someone who seemed as sweet as Lyra was with someone like them. Lyra seemed to have a heart of gold to put up with his family.

Kol noticed the door to the house open, jaw dropping when he seen the child in Elijahs arms. Finn was just as surprised, especially with how comfortable they looked with each other. This definitely wasn't new. Lyra walked out followed by a blond woman. Kol watched as the pixie like woman seemed to float on air.

Opening the back door, Elijah noticed his brothers gaping "I'm going to need to put his seat in. Kol would you mind sitting in the back with Miss Lovegood" he asked, holding back a laugh. Lyra thought it would be funny not to mention she had a kid, she wanted to shock the brothers. Looks like she succeeded.

Kol nodded, climbing to the third row. Luna smiled and climbed in next to him. Lyra smothered her laugh, Luna was devious. She held her son while Elijah buckled in his seat.

Lyra put Teddy in his seat, catching Elijahs gaze across from her and snorted, "Kol, Finn I forgot to introduce you. This is Teddy, Lyra's son" both brothers gazes snapped to Elijah. Rolling his eyes, he shut the door and went to the driver's seat. The whole drive to the grill was used to explain how she had a son.

The group were sitting at a table, having just finished lunch when Damon walked in. Noticing Lyra and Teddy, he headed over to the group. Kol and Finn tensed at the approaching vampire but Elijah told them he was Lyra's friend.

"Lyra, have you spoke to Jenna" Damon asked.

Shaking her head, she reached for her phone just as it started to ring. "Hello" she answered.

Elijah could barely hear Jenna on the other end, but he knew something had happened.

Lyra's eyes shot to Damons, he nodded and she asked "Where are you? We're at the grill" She could hear Jenna park and she hung up. "She's here, sit Damon"

"This can't be good, have you warned Stefan" she asked.

Grimacing, he replies "Elena showed up to the house. Stefan and Rebekah were hanging out and she lost it" noticing Elijah tense, he added "Stefan kicked Elena out, Rebekahs safe"

Luna spoke then, "It seems father and daughter are plotting, something to do with a mother" Lyra tensed.

Jenna rushed in and straight to their table. "I wasn't expecting them, John said they're staying. Jeremy won't even go to the house now. I don't think I want to either, not with them both there" she told the group.

"Do you know what they want" Lyra asked, Jenna was sitting now.

"Perhaps we should call Niklaus" Elijah said.

Damon added, "Maybe a talk with John is in order" just as he finished speaking, the man walked in, "Incoming"

Jenna hurried to hide her face, she was sitting beside a tall silent man but she would rather be there than near John.

John noticed the group and approached. No one besides Lyra and Kol noticed Luna put up privacy spells.

"Jenna, really. You need better acquaintances" John said, glaring at the group. His eyes stuck on Lyra and he sneered, "You must be the one my niece told me about"

Elijah tensed, Lyra placed a hand on his arm. Looking to John, "I thought you were Elenas father" she put on a surprised look, "I'm sorry, was it still a secret" Damon snorted at her.

John stared for a moment, moving his gaze to Teddy he asked, "And what kind of monster is your son"

If Jenna, Luna, Elijah and Damon hadn't moved to action, John would have been nothing more than a smear on the floor. Glaring icily, she stepped closer once everyone backed off "I see where your daughter gets her abhorrent manners. You only know what she has told you of me, let me clue you in on some things" John paled as she shook off the last hands trying to stop her. She moved like a fluid and no one could stop her. Lyra was now standing before him, "No one is allowed to disrespect my son. Call him a monster again and I'll show you what a monster really is"

Lyra hadn't noticed but the others did, when the temperature dropped. Her shadow had grown to stand taller than she did. Shadows didn't move like that. Luna could see why, Death was at her back. He was waiting for any sign to take out this threat to his Mistress. John had escaped him many times, that ring on his hand would need taken.

John couldn't move, he was terrified. Elena had made this woman sound weak. He could feel the power rolling off of her in waves, it felt like ice. He wasn't sure why but he knew this woman would be his end.

Lyra only backed away when her son called for her, "Mama, brr, it's cold" Teddy said.

Spinning to face him, the temperature returned to normal and she smiled. "Sorry baby, mama fixed it" Lyra said as she walked back to her son.

Elijah shook off the shock of what he had just seen. Facing John, he said "I would suggest you leave us. I'm sure Elena has told you lies about everything. You should make sure you're stronger than those you're trying to intimidate. Crossing us would not be wise".

John finally made his body move and took off out the door. Kol and Finn turned to look at Lyra.

"What exactly are you" Kol asked Lyra, curiously.

Lyra looked confused, "I told you, I'm a witch"

Kol shook his head, looking to the others, "You all seen it right? I felt the temperature drop and then your shadow grew and towered over you" He felt like he was going crazy.

Luna pat him on the arm, "She is his Mistress. He could feel the call of her magic, wanting that mans death" Kol looked at Luna, confused. She whispered, "Death"
