The next day, Nocturne Hospital…

"Oh…so that hospital you were talking about…is here?" Mark said as they looked at the old hospital.

"Yeah. Maddiman ran a plan to trap us here from masked as a check-up. But we figured it out in time." Jexi said. "Just be careful guys. Yo-kai are more than likely roaming around inside."

"Right. We'll be careful." Scarlet nodded.

The group started to slowly and carefully enter the building, unaware that they were being watched by a figure in a black labcoat.

They walked through the hospital, which seemed to be in even much worse shape than the last time they had visited.

"How unsanitary!" Double D cried, repulsed. "What monster would let a hospital end up in this state?!"

"Not sure. It was definitely closed when we first got here." Chopper said.

"Although…" Sunset said seeing two Yo-kai balancing on balls and laughing with a third in a robe turning her head up. "Seems Yo-kai still do inhabit this place."

"So we've got two jokers and a snobby spirit." Simon said.

"In a nutshell, yes." Ross said.

"Yeah, Compunzer makes you tell terrible jokes, Lamedian is a total buzzkill, and Snobetty, well you can already tell what her deal is." Sunset said.

"If that's the case, then she'll be a hard sell." Eddy remarked. "Any ideas?"

"Hey come on! You're blocking the way!" a voice said as standing behind them was a small blueish Yo-kai looking very impatient.

"Oh geez…the impatient one." Hope said.

"Grr….get outta my way!" K'mon-K'mon said as he charged through the group as well as the three Yo-kai, sending them flying.

"Jerk!" Klonoa called.

K'mon-K'mon then came to a stop. "What did you just call me?"

"I get that you're impatient, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude and charge through people like that." Klonoa said.

"Why you….please….forgive me like donuts!" K'mon-K'mon said, acting cutely.

"Aw…he said it so cute. You're forgiven, guy." Stoj said.

"Huh, I thought he'd put up more of a fight than that…" Catra said.

"Are we really forgiving him just like that?" Emo asked.

"At least he dealt with those three Yo-kai for us." Cap-P stated.

"Yeah but why did…Oh." Pinkie said looking over to a small pink dog on a floating heart.

"A puppy!" Nuna squealed in joy.

"That's Shmoopie. He makes anyone be able to get away with anything by acting cute." Peridot-2 read off.

"What's a Yo-kai like that doing in a place like this?" Carmine asked. "They seem kinda out of place, don't you think?"

"Oh it's because of that doctor being cooped up in his lab." spoke a red bird in sandals as he read.

"Doctor?" Hope asked. "You mean Maddiman?"

"Yes. He thinks he finally has everything he needs to create the Ultimate Yo-kai or whatever. Guys made claims like that ever since he became a Yo-kai." spoke a humanoid with a staff and top knot.

"So we're taking advantage and staying this place while he isn't noticing." said a being with a box head with something spilling from it. "Ironically, it's one of the safest places to hide from the Yo-kai Alliance."

"Hmm…. what Maddiman's working on is definitely something to look into." Adora said.

"Yeah, the last thing the Ghoulfather needs is an Ultimate Yo-kai on his payroll." Krillin agreed.

"Well it's a good thing we managed to revert Yo-kaiju to normal." Klonoa said.

"Yeah, those little guys don't deserve to be in the hands of that monster." Sir Saiyan stated.

"Uh, guys, listen…" Sunset started.

"I mean, Maddiman is a total villain. I can't imagine him being anything but evil. I mean, look at Ultra Hero Battle!" ZS added.

"Guys…" Sunset repeated, sounding annoyed.

"I have to agree. Anyone who'd use Chiaki like that is evil in my book. Oh and you too, Mukuro. He is…"

"Enough!" a voice called out as a being floated toward them. This being being the same one who watched them enter. "None of you will be laying a hand on him."

"Whoa…wait…who are you?" Sunset said.

"I am Dr. Nocturne." he said.

"Wait, Nocturne? Like Nocturne Hospital?" Chopper asked.

"Yes…I used to run this place when I was still alive." he said.

"Oh, is that so?" Double D asked. "Well, I suppose you can't be blamed for the state it's in now, considering your current status."

"I'm more concerned with how you've all been slandering Dr. Maddiman. He may be a mad genius but he was still an inspiration during his life! He lost touch with his family at one point but at least he's trying to get his afterlife back together!" Dr. Nocturne said in anger.

"Why do you care what happens to this guy?" Sanji asked.

"Because…he's my father." Dr. Nocturne said.

"YOUR WHAT?!" a lot of the group asked.

"I have several questions…" David remarked.

"I know my father has been at odds with you. Reanimating two of you, even." Dr. Nocturne said, looking at Mukuro and Chiaki. "But…he's not being the same man you all knew in the past."

"What do you mean?" Rainbow asked.

"My father, I recently heard he had started seeing a human therapist after he tried reaching out to me. I went and interrogated said therapist. Said my father had reached some epiphany after some encounter in a different Hospital with some astronaut." Dr. Nocturne said.

"Sounds familiar." SE said, glancing at Kaito.

"So Maddiman is going to therapy? I…have a hard time believing that." Mark admitted.

"He's telling the truth. I actually saw him enter long before we started this journey." Sunset said.

"Oh, that's why you were telling us not to jump to conclusions…" Hope said, looking embarrassed. "Uh…sorry."

"It's okay, Hope. For what it's worth, you did have your own second thoughts about him." Sunset said.

"So, what's Maddiman really been up to here?" Glimmer said. "The other Yo-kai living here say that he's finally been able to make his Ultimate Yo-kai."

"If you'd like, I can show you what my father's been up to." Dr. Nocturne said, leading them down into the basement lab where Maddiman was sewing together and creating a large Yo-kai. "He's been obsessed for a long time to create this Ultimate Yo-kai. It cost him everything in his life and afterlife. Even still…he's still trying. It's an addiction. I'm not sure he can stop himself."

"Well… what if we help him finish his project?" Entrapta asked, which caught the group by surprise.

"Where'd that come from?!"

"No…it has to be destroyed." Dr. Nocturne said.

"Destroyed? But it's his life's and afterlife's work, we can't just…" Entrapta said.

"Entrapta, you heard Dr. Nocturne. What he's been working on, it's been toiling away at him for his entire life." Hope said.

"That's right. Hero Alliance, I know this may seem like a strange request…but I want you to help my father finally be at ease, by destroying his curse. I know, deep down, that he wants it gone as well. He needs to see it end."

"Well, if blowing up a patchwork yo-kai's all we gotta do to complete the good docs therapy, then consider us PhD in pschology." Dark Water typed.

The group approached Dr. Maddiman, who was putting the finishing touches on his creation. "Maddiman."

"Oh, it's you all!" Dr. Maddiman said, his usual madness having an undercurrent of desperation to it. "You've all arrived just in time. At long last…I've finally got it right."

"Out of the way. We need to destroy your creation." Mukuro said simply.

"What?!" Maddiman asked.

"It's torn your life apart. It needs to be destroyed." Mukuro added.

"B-but it's nearly finished! I gave you life again, you and Chiaki, and this is how you want to repay me?! I didn't bring you back just so you could destroy something!" Maddiman said.

"But you did." Mukuro said. "You brought me back to get revenge on the alliance, Chiaki and I both. But…we're not mad at you, we should thank you. Because of you, I was able to accept my sister's death and move on from all the tragedy she put my world through."

"And I was able to see my friends again because you brought me back. But now it's our turn to help you." Chiaki said. "You need to let go. Let us help you."

Maddiman looked unsure of himself for a few moment, at war with himself, before he shook his head. "I'm so close now…it's nearly done! You can't take this away from me! Not again!" he said, almost pleading.

"I'm sorry, but we have to. It's the only way to save you from yourself." Hope said.

"No… I won't let you!" Maddiman said. "All any of you have ever done, every time we've crossed paths, is destroy my life! But now it's my turn… to destroy YOU!"

Maddiman then threw a switch, bringing the thing he was working on behind him to life as it rose up. It was a a large Yo-kai that appeared to be stitched together from several different parts. Its skin had pink, light purple, dark purple, and grey patches. It had a large, oddly shaped mouth, with its inside being light yellow. Its eyes are crossed, and red in color. It had two circular bumps on its back, and a larger one below its torso, instead of legs. While it had no legs, it had five arms. All of its hands were purple, with four of them being right hands, and only one being a left hand. Its left hand was the one at the very front.

"I only used this being one other time. But now he's back in business. Hans Full! Its playtime!" Maddiman called out.

"No, father! Don't do this! After all the work you've put in to move past this addiction, giving in now and resorting to violence doesn't solve anything!" Dr. Nocturne said.

"I can't stop… I won't stop! I'm so close son, can't you see?!" Maddiman said.

"Mother and I left you long ago. You don't need to create a protector anymore!" Dr. Nocturne said.

"Wait, he created this thing to protect you?" Bow asked.

"To protect us…he created it to try and take over the world." Dr. Nocturne explained. "That's why you have to destroy Hans Full! Father will never be able to move on unless it's gone for good!"

"Okay…so that's how it is. I finally understand now." Mukuro said as she went and started firing into Hans Full.

Hans Full retaliated by throwing a number of flasks it grabbed from its mouth at Mukuro, who dodged every single one.

"We were both experimented and doctored by the same man. I will not…allow you to see the light of day." Mukuro said.

"She's got this." Zero said.

Mukuro continued to implore hit and run tactics as Hans Full continued to throw flasks and occasionally try and punch her. But Mukuro was too fast for him as her repeated fire arm attacks continued to wear Hans full down.

"This isn't going to work forever. I need…" she said seeing the stitches. "Time for you to fall to pieces." she said grabbing one of the stitches, pulling it as she ran around.

"Whats she doing?" Noel asked.

"She's unwravling Hans Full. He's being held together by those stitches, so if she pulls them apart, he'll come undone!" Hope said.

"She's pulling an Oogie Boogie!" Stoj said.

Hans Full looked down as he raised an arm and slapped her across the room. She managed to use the momentum to jump off the wall and back at him as she moved around.

"Wait…she's not trying to undo him all…" Sunset said, noticing she was carefully wrapping up the creation with his own stitches.

"She…she…" Maddiman said in shock as Hans Full was now tied up with all his detached arms.

"And now…let's end this!" Mukuro said, taking out a number of grenades, pulling the pins from all of them and forcing them down Hans Full's throat before she jumped back as the artificial creation soon exploded to pieces.

"My…my life's work…" Maddiman said in disbelief as he fell to his knees, scooping what little remained of Hans Full up in his hands.

"You seem to be in a better mood than usual, Maddiman. Good news?"

"Great news actually. I just found out that my son became a Yo-kai. He's been in America this whole time."

"Well, that's definitely worth getting happy over. So, what do you intend to do with this information?"

"That…well, I don't know. My research has been my life, and my afterlife, for so long. But…it's what drove us apart. What if he doesn't want to talk to me? What if he says that he hates me?"

"Well, you won't know until you talk to him. Perhaps he became a Yo-kai for you. Maybe he's been waiting for you all this time. Just some ideas, of course. Might I ask you a question I believe will help you?"

"Sure, that's why I'm here."

"What, would you say, is your greatest creation?"

"My…greatest creation…" Maddiman said to himself, as he looked up to see Dr. Nocturne above him. "It took me too long to realize it…it was you all along. My son…"

"Father…" Dr. Nocturne said, reaching a hand out. "It's time to come home."

With a genuine smile, the first one the Hero Alliance had seen on his face, Maddiman took his son's hand, getting helped back to his feet.

"I'd say your work here is done, Hero Alliance." Dr. Nocturne said, handing Sunset his medal. "Please, let me take him home."

"Of course." Sunset said as they headed out. As they were moving to the entrance, they saw the three turtle Yo-kai that were once Yo-kaiju moving past them and heading on inside.

"Wow…they came all the way here just to go back to Maddiman? Guess they really did care a lot about him." Hope said.

"So, I suppose that clinches it. Maddiman really has changed." Adora said. "And to think we were the ones who finally helped him move on."

"Well, it was mostly Mukuro, if we're being honest." Issei pointed out.

"Yeah. That was a really good thing you did for him, Mukuro." Hope said.

"I felt like I had to. He did bring me back to life." Mukuro said. "Plus he's a Yo-kai so I can't exactly kill him."

"Wow…okay." Hope said.

"I mean, she's got a point." Scarlet agreed.

"So, Sunset, any other major players we should be concerned about?" Mark asked.

"Other than the remaining Wicked Yo-kai, not that I can think of. For now, we need to focus on building up the ranks." Sunset said.

"That sounds like a very good idea." Leonora said.

As they returned to the ship, they were unaware of an event that was about to take place involving an old foe.
