Chapter 55 Beacon Rises

After the battle everyone was at Ozpin's office as they were now talking about the events just happened. Among them are Ozpin's group, Team RWBY and JNPR with Pyrrha having a crutch because of what happened to her heel.

"Well, we won." Haru said.

"Yes but many people lost their lives." Glynda said.

They looked down and Qrow said: "Hey at least we didn't lose Vale, and magic boy made it at least we didn't lose many people. Even the other teams survived."

"Which is good. But there is several things that needs to be done now. Rebuilding and Beacon needs a new Headmaster." Ironwood said.

They think about and Haru said: "I have an idea."

"What's the idea?" Blake asks.

He looks at Glynda giving them the idea.

"Glynda as the next headmistress makes sense." Ironwoods nods in agreement.

"What me?" She got surprised.

"I mean yeah. You were basically Ozpin's right hand lady." Haru said.

"Well that is true." Glynda said.

"Just take the job. Ozpin would have you wanted to and you would be the best choice." Qrow said.

She thinks about it and nodded.

"Good thing that Amber is safe." Haru said as Amber comes out.

"Yes and I have the powers of the Fall Maiden back." Amber said.

"Now they're stuck to you until you die." He looks at the driver she has.

"Which is good news meaning they can't be stolen again." Ironwood said.

"Say Haru was that really Balan?" Blake asked.

"Yup, told you he was real." Haru smiles.

"He was awesome!" Ruby said.

"Who is he exactly?" Ironwood said.

"I never found that out myself either." Haru chuckles.

"What about the people behind the attack?" Wiess asks.

"Cinder ran away with Mercury, Roman and Adam are dead." Haru said.

"What about her?" Winter questions looking at Emerald.

"She made the right choice and actually fought with us. Give her a chance, she shot Cinder many times and it's what Ozpin would have wanted." Haru said.

Winter frowns but nods.

"Still she needs to give us any information she has on Cinder's plans and where she could be hiding." Ironwood said.

"Knowing her they might relocate." Emerald said. "But the one she works for, let's say it's too dangerous to go now."

"Who does she work for?" Yang questions.

"I thought Ozpin told you?" Emerald said.

"Team RWBY and JNPR do not know." Glynda said.

"Well then your little group should know. Because she's the biggest problem. But now I can't even leave Vale because they would go after me." Emerald said.

"Who is she?" Jaune questions. Ironwood looks at Team RWBY and Team JNPR before sighing.

"She is Salem the queen of the Grimm." Ironwood said.

"What?!" They said.

"What do you mean by Queen of the Grimm?" Ren questions.

"It must mean she's the one controling them. It makes sense since how could Cinder control that Wyvern." Haru said.

"So if we defeat her this all ends? No more Grimm?" Pyrrha questions.

"It's not that easy. She's very powerful and she can't die." Glynda said.

"Then how can we beat her?" Weiss questions.

"I'm not sure, Ozpin was the one that knew about her the most." Glynda said.

"Maybe with the powers of Haru and the four maidens but even then that doesn't mean we can win." Ironwood said with a frown.

"Wait Cinder said that the guy in white managed to harm her." Emerald remembers.

"Guy in white?" Qrow questions.

Haru got surprised. "Balan?!"

"Wait Balan did it?" Blake questions in surprise.

"He must have tested her power." Haru said. "Just to see what she can do."

"Does this mean we have a chance?" Yang questions.

"I'm not sure, but I doubt she will try anything now after suffering a big loss." Haru said.

The others nods.

"So I guess we relax and get the rebuilding done?" Ruby asks.

"Yeah, I know a place to relax for now." Haru goes out with his friends following him.

"That kid is now the only hope we have against her." Qrow said.

They nodded at that.

Later

Haru takes them to the donut truck he goes to often.

Yu sees them. "Haru and everyone welcome back."

"Donuts!" Ruby said smelling the delightful smell of donuts.

"You guys come here?" Emerald said.

Blake nods.

"Sometimes though Haru does the most." Blake answers.

"Thank you for waiting heres my newest recipe, cookie Rose donut." He shows them a donut with a cookie shape with strawberry filling that has rose shapes on it.

"Ooh! This one looks cute." said Ruby.

"It's a special donut made for our hero Ruby Rose." Yu said.

"No fair, Ruby gets a donut based on her." Nora said.

"I want one too!" pouted Yang.

"Well she did save them." Ren said.

Ruby digs in and the owner gets more as Ruby enjoys them.

"Made with her favorite fruit strawberries." Yu said.

"Everyone will get one too." Yu offers everyone a donut.

Everyone takes one and tries it.

"I'll have my plain sugar." Haru said making Yu almost fall down.

"Of course, the usual." Yu said.

Yu prepares it and gives it to Haru.

Haru sits on a table with Ruby.

Haru then takes a bite of his donut with a pleased look.

"Say how's your leg Pyrrha?" Ruby asked since she's using a crutch.

"It's getting better." Pyrrha said. "Thanks for asking."

"At least it avoided worse. As walking in a crutch is not as bad as losing a leg." Haru said.

"Agreed." Pyrrha said.

Emerald looks up and she's a little worried.

Nora notices this.

"What's up?" She asks.

"It makes me wonder what the others are thinking right now."

At Salem's kingdom

Cinder and Mercury arrived with her arm wrapped up and it was a stump after it was snapped into two, they saw at a table with others there and Salem enters the room.

"So your plan failed." Salem said with a slight scrowl.

"Hey give us a break, that magic guy got stronger than what we expected." Mercury said. "At least Ozpin's dead."

"Yes but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Vale still stands and the Magic User is still alive." Salem said.

"Well that's a shame indeed." They heard a voice.

They turn to look at who spoken.

A man came out from the shadows in a shocker uniforn with black hair covering his eye with the other being purple, he has a stub with a smirk on his face.

"Who are you?" Salem questions.

"I am Melkor, a powerful magic user." He grins even more.

"And why are you here?" Salem questions.

"Don't be like that. In fact I helped the Grimm come to Vale with my own aura. Plus ever heard of the phrase the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" Melkor said.

"You helped the Grimm?" Salem questions skeptically.

"Of course, if I didn't you would never get enough negative energy to attract them."

"Prove it." Mercury said.

He raises a hand as darkness comes out of it.

This makes Salem interested as she could feel the power and the negativity from it.

"Now that we got that out of the way. I came here because I wanted to destroy Wizard, but that woman didn't kill him fast enough making him grow into his next form." He said.

Cinder scowls.

"You want to destroy the mage? Why?" Mercury questions.

"As I said, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Because he's in my way." Melkor takes out a watch. "Henshin."

WIZARD!

He puts it on him and becomes Another Wizard.

"A monster version of that mage?!" Cinder exclaims in shock.

"I am now Another Wizard. And if you want any hope of beating him you better have my help." He said.

"And what do you want in return?" Salem questions.

"Simple, the rings that he has. They will be mine." He said.

Salem thinks about it.

"I'm your best bet." he added.

"Fine. I will agree to your help however I wish to study the rings before you take them." Salem said.

"Very well." He said.

"Good." Salem said.

Meanwhile

Qrow enters a bar and looks around for anyone. He arrives at a table and in front of him was his sister Raven.

"Well look who I found." He said.

"How can this be Qrow?" She said.

"What?" He said.

"How can Beacon still be standing, it should have fell down instead Vale is now safe! How is this possible?!" Raven said.

Qrow chuckles. "You wanna know, we have our own star player. If I were to think what Ozpin might say, we might have lost a king but a pawn took it's place as the new king."

Raven got confused. "Who is this new king?"

Qrow smiles putting his hands together. "His name... Is Haru Kaneki."

They might have lost Ozpin but Beacon will still stand as they're new leader is Haru without him even knowing about it.

Note: Heres the Aftermath of the last chapter, Another Wizard appeared and joined forces with Salem to defeat Wizard and Glynda is now the new Headmaster.
