Chapter 56 One More Time

In the morning Haru was with the girls and Emerald as they hang out at they're room.
"That was great." Ruby said smiling.
"Yeah." He said and they saw a small portal open.
"What's that?" Blake questions in caution.
Cindy came out ridding on a broomstick laughing.
"Cindy!" He said.
"Hey daddy!" Cindy said cheerfully.
"Daddy!" They said.
"Haru why is this little girl calling you daddy?" Yang questions.
"Oh meet Cindy, the little girl I adopted." He smiles.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Ruby questions a bit hurt.
"I was trying to protect her and a friend I met, they're magic users that could cause some problems since Cinder was around." He said.
"Who is this friend you met?" Weiss asks.
"Sally, who should have beem watching Cindy, but it seems she managed to escape." He said.
Cindy giggles a bit nervously as she realizes she is in a bit of trouble.
She looks at the girls and smiled.
Weiss and Yang got excited. "Aw, she's so cute."
"Are one of them going to be my mommy?" Cindy asks making the girls blush deeply.
"Uh, that's a hard thing to answer." Haru was nervous.
Cindy looks at him with a questioning look.
"Can they all be my mommies?" She smiles.
This surprises Haru and the girls.
"What?" Haru said.
"W-why would you ask that?" Blake questions.
"Because if I have all of you I would get so many mommies!" She said.
The girls all look at each other unsure at what to do.
"Cindy, you can't just have them be with me." He said.
"Why not?" Cindy questions.
"They might not feel the same." He said.
"But they like you." Cindy was confused.
"Wait, what?!" He looks at them.
They all blushed before Yang starts.
"I do like you. You aren't like the other boys who only look at me for my body and you actually like my jokes." Yang said.
"What about the rest?" He said.
"I fallen for you because of how kind you are." Blake said next.
Haru looks at Weiss.
"Despite the... bad start we had I too fallen for you." Weiss admits.
"Ruby?" He looks at her.
"I loved you for a while now." She admits.
He got surprised before he looks at Emerald.
"I admit I am very interested in you. You actually stolen this thief's heart." Emerald said.
"That's surprising." He said.
"Blame yourself." She said.
"I never expected all of you girls. This is... I don't even know what to say." He said.
Yang then smirks mischievously as she walks over to Haru and kisses him on the lips surprising everyone.
"Hey!" They said.
Yang then breaks the kiss.
"I got the first one. Who's next?" Yang asks the other girls.
Then each one gives him a kiss, Blake, Weiss, Ruby and Emerald making him blush.
"So how's your first kiss?" Yang said.
"It's... Not my first." He frowns.
"Wait what?" Ruby questions.
"I... Had a ex girlfriend." He looks away.
"You did?" Blake questions in surprise.
"Yes, and we don't get along anymore." He grunts.
"What did she do?" Weiss asks.
"Okay, when I was in my previous school, I used to wear glasses and was seen as a little geeky to some." He said.
They then wonder what Haru looked like with glasses.
"What's worse she was my childhood friend." He frowns.
"Childhood sweethearts." Emerald said in slight surprise.
He frowns.
Flashback
Years ago when he was at high school he was dating his girlfriend Kaede Ayase, a girl with long brown hair and wearing a school uniform seen as the popular girl. They were dating but they kept it a secret to the school.
They were now outside and as he moves his glasses. "Why do we need to keep our relationship a secret?"
"Because my friends think you're uncool." Kaede said.
"Come on, you shouldn't care about what they think. We've been together ever since we're kids." He said.
"You don't get it Haru." She said.
He frowns hearing that.
Later they were at school and Haru was reading book. Kanae friends were talking about him and he frowns.
"That guy is so lame." One girl said.
"He likes video games and musicals." The other said.
Kanae just stands there in silence.
Haru looks at her with a deeper frown as she doesn't even try to defend him.
After that he goes up to her. "Kanae."
"What do you want nerd?" One girl questions.
"I came to talk to her."
"Why? You're nothing but a uncool nerd." Another girl said.
He frowns. "And was I talking to you? No, then shut up."
"How dare you?!" The girl said angerly.
He ignores her and looks at Kanae. "Kanae, why do you keep avoiding me, i've been trying to be understanding, but this is going far too long."
"What are you talking about?" Kanae questions not wanting her friends to know about her and Haru.
"We've known each other for so long and you just keep pretending, like it's like you hate me." He said.
"You really knew this nerd for a long time?" One girl questions.
Kanae looks at him and he waits for an answer.
"N-no I don't." She said.
"What?!" He said.
"It's over, just leave me alone." She said.
He frowns hearing that. "Oh your breaking up with me? Fine, I don't need you. Also before you two start saying she can find someone better. I'm the one that can find someone better since I stayed with her all the time because we were childhood friends. But now I have no reason to stay in this school so i'll transfer."
"W-what?!" Kanae questions shocked and hurt.
"It seems you really didn't care about me. I did but not you. Also..." He takes off his glasses. "You bought me these after my previous got ruined so I don't need them." He drops them and stomps on it.
Kanae gasps in shock.
He gets his stuff and leaves the clasroom.
"He's lying right?" Another girl questions.
Kanae looks to the side.
"You'll find someone else." The other one said.
But she was upset with what happened.
The next day she goes to class but saw Haru was not there.
"Is he really gone?" She quietly questions in horror.
The teacher came.
"Uh teacher where's Haru?" She asked.
The teacher checks. "He transfered."
This shocks her as she feels tears building up. She sits at her seat and holds her face and now realises the things she had done made everything she loves go away.
Flashback
He told them what happened and how she cared about her reputation instead of how he felt.
They got stunned and Yang grabs a water bottle before crushing as her eyes turned red.
This scares Cindy a bit.
"How dare she?!" Yang yells a bit.
"She picked her own popularity over you!" Blake said.
"She even asked me to be more stylish. Like why do I have to Change my look that bad." He said.
"Unbelievable." Weiss said.
"That's not fair." Ruby said.
"I only changed because I chose to become a Hunter." He said.
"This girl shouldn't show up here or she might feel our displeasure." Emerald said.
"Well it's been years. Now I have other things." He holds Cindy and rubs her head.
Cindy giggles as her father showers her with love and affection.
"You know how about we go out for a walk in Vale." he said.
"Yay!" Cindy said excited.
The group got teleported by Haru and they arrived at Vale.
"Vale is starting to look better." Ruby said looking around.
They saw the damage being fixed and Haru nodded. They saw a bus coming by as it passes by them.
"That must be new students because of the schools here." Haru said.
"Speaking of school what about Cindy's education?" Weiss asks Haru.
"Well I didn't put her in school yet, so Sally homeschooled her a bit." He said.
"Sally?" Blake questions.
"I told you it was the girl looking after Cindy." He said.
"Oh yeah. Should you go get her?" Blake asks Haru.
"She gave me a call and she's fine. Now we just have to relax." He said.
"So where should we go first?" Yang asks before picking up Cindy and letting her ride on her shoulders.
Someone inside of the bus saw Haru and she got surprised pressing against the window.
"H-Haru." She said longingly.
She saw him hanging out with the girls and even Cindy was smiling at him.
This surprises her as she feels her heart hurting along with jealousy at Yang's chest size.
They went forward and he looks at his watch. "Well we have so much time just for us."
"Cindy did you eat yet?" Emerald asks her.
"No." She said.
"How about we go get donuts?" Ruby suggests.
"Okay well-"
"Haru!" They saw Kanae who was now a bit older.
"I finally found you again." Kanae said.
"Kanae!" He said.
"What?!" The girls said.
"Haru I'm sorry for what happened!" Kanae said crying.
"I'll introduce you to my friends and my parents as my boyfriend so please!"
Team RWBY and Emerald glares at her angrily.
"Your kidding, you expect me to accept you, after you were avoiding me." He said.
"I know I was wrong but please Haru I love you! Please give me another chance!" She begs.
"Why should I?"
"Haru please." She begs while crying.
Then they saw her two friends come out.
"Well look who it is." Haru narrows his eyes.
"H-hey." One said.
"These are the girls that called you a nerd?" Weiss said.
Haru nods before Yang gives Cindy to Ruby.
"Ruby Cindy doesn't need to see this so please go ahead and take her to the donut truck." Yang said in a tone that said she was about to show her anger.
"Okay." Ruby takes her away.
"Why did you even come here, I gave you want you wanted and now your free to pick any guy you want." Haru said.
"I was wrong! Please you're the only one I want!" Kanae begs once more.
"Really? How am I supposed to trust you, the moment those two start to complain..." He points at her friends. "They'll just make you break up with me again."
"We won't!" One said.
"Yeah!" The other said.
"Yeah, last time you really convinced me, always insulting me." Haru said.
"We'll get down on our knees and apologize. Just please give Kanae another chance." the first said.
Haru sighs and looks around. "You don't know how much that really hurt me, I was alone after my parents passed away and Kanae was the only one there for me, now she broke up with me do you know how hard that was for me?"
She cries even more and looks down, Haru noticed she has a ring on her finger.
"That ring." He got surprised.
"Yes I kept it." Kanae said.
"Why?" He said.
"Because I still love you." Kanae said.
He looked away and looks at the girls.
"Don't tell me you're thinking of giving her another chance?" Yang questions in disbelief.
"Im not sure."
Emerald sighs.
"Well you gave me a chance despite me working with Cinder." She said.
"How about this, you gotta earn my trust again." He said.
"Yes I do anything." Kanae said.
"Fine, but we'll be leaving now." He said.
They turn around only for her to hug him from behind.
"Thank you. I promise to be better for you." She said.
He smiles a bit before they got seperated.
"Let's go before Ruby eats all of the donuts." Weiss said.
They nodded and Kanae went away as she smiles with a few tears coming out of her eyes.
"Thank you."
Note: Okay Kanae is from Manga Bear Nana Kuma, I didn't like what she did but Haru is more forgiving than others and she's not the worse as she didn't cheat and was just desperate, but having her grow helps more the scene.
