Chapter 63 Chameleon Strike

In the middle of the night Blake and Haru were at a window as they looked outside. They looked at the stars together.
"You know, once mom and dad left the White Fang, I called them cowards but now..." Blake looks down.
Haru looks at her. "Hey." He patted her shoulder. "It's alright, your here so you can fix the things that happened."
Blake smiles at his words.
"You know, I wonder how strong you got? Ever since we started the tournament you managed to beat the entire team by yourself." She said.
"Oh that." Haru chuckles. "Well let's say back at Mana's home. Time is a little different."
Blake blinks at what he said. "Okay."
Haru also looks at his hands, it seems his energy gets stronger when he unlocked his dragon form, like his base form got better, it started back after fighting Dartz and now after Cinder he got stronger too.
"So how strong do you think you are now?" Blake asked him.
"Well..." He thinks about it. "Maybe I can fight many strong fighters without the need of my rider form."
"I see." Blake said.
She was glad to have Haru on they're team. With him they managed to save Beacon and they're home.
"Also where did you get those?" She looks at the puzzle.
"Well..."
He then hears a sound and throws a rock he had.
"Ow!" They saw he hit someone invisible.
Blake got surprised.
"How did he know?!" The spy said.
"I got pretty good senses myself." He said.
She then runs away.
"After her!" Blake chases with Haru behind her.
They went to rooftops as the stranger jumps off each of them. Haru noticed she's wearing a white fang mask.
"Another White Fang." He frowns.
Blake wonders who it is and she throws her weapon making the girl turn around to block it but then Haru jumps over her and kicks her. The mask came off and Blake gasped seeing her face.
"Ilia." She said.
"You shouldn't have come back." Ilia said.
"You know her?" Haru said.
"She's a member of the White Fang I knew." Blake said.
"And you bring a human here! To this place!" She glares at Haru.
"I don't mean to bring any harm to any faunus." Haru said.
"Yeah right." She takes out her weapon.
They took they're weapons out. She swings it like a whip and they dodged it, Blake attacks her as the two clashed.
Haru shoots at the girl making her dodge the shots and Ilia swings it making him lean to the side.
She then shoots lightning making them avoid it even more.
"She uses lightning." He said.
Blake shoots making Ilia dodge as Haru moves around too shooting more times at her.
Ilia swings at Blake, Haru blocks it but he got snagged by it.
"Haru!" Blake said.
Ilia zaps Haru as Blake gasps. He grunted as the chamelon smiles but then the puzzle glowed with Haru getting the eye on his forehead.
"Just kidding!" Haru said.
"What?!" She exclaims in surprise and shock
He breaks free before appearing in front of her, he then flicks Ilia away.
Ilia hits the ground and she holds her forehead.
"Yeah chameleon girl, you should be worried since i'm way better than you." Haru said.
"How did it not hurt you?" Ilia demands
"I have a power outside of aura. If Adam couldn't hurt me why could you." Haru said.
Ilia growls a bit as she realizes she was at a disadvantage
"And you might call me scum, but I never once abused a faunus in my life." Haru said.
"But, you guys think Adam's ways are right. But... All that got him was death."
"He might have died but ideals don't!" Ilia shouts
"Oh really? The same ideals that just makes you as worse as the ones that abused you." Haru said.
She frowns and attacks but he dodges all of her strikes before kneeing her in the gut. She spits and grunted.
Ilia steps back. "How? How can you be better than me? I was trained by the White Fang all my life and your just a student at Beacon!"
"Because I had special training too. If you think you had a chance. Well your sadly mistaken." He said.
"I won't lose to a human!" She shouts.
"You know, you never once asked me what I think about how our two kinds see each other." Haru said.
"So what?" Ilia questions knowing what she believes what his answer would be.
"If you think I hate the White Fang because your faunus is wrong. I hate them for what they did to innocent. My dream is for a world where faunus and humans can live in peace." He said.
"What?!" She questions in surprise.
"I love Blake and she's a faunus. And what I want is for both kinds to be in peace without those that cause a rift between them. I defeated Adam because he was a reason why that dream can't happen because of his grudge against humans."
"And why shouldn't he or any of us hold grudges against humans?!" Ilia demands.
"Because not all of us are the same. There are bad and there are good ones. It's just how the world works, but Adam killed a couple because they were a human and faunus in love." Haru said.
"What?" She questions shocked.
"I asked around the town. One kids was they're child that ran." Haru remembers seeing a child alone and he talked to the young Faunus. "Adam killed them because it was disgusting in his views. So he killed a faunus for being in love with a human."
He could never forgive him for what he did to that child's family, they were just living a normal life yet he killed them for being of two different races.
Ilia was horrified hearing what he said.
"And you all want to follow his ways. It's like a phrase I heard from a wise man, you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Haru said.
Ilia looks at him wondering if that was true.
"So all you guys are doing is failing down to his level. So who's the real bad guy here?" Haru questions her with Blake watching them.
Ilia grits her teeth and clenches her fists.
"If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it a long time ago with the form that beat Adam. But the fact that I fought you without it proves a lot." Haru said.
"So Ilia was it? Your allowed to choose want you believe in, just make the right choice."
Ilia bites her lip. She goes off and Blake goes to his side.
"Haru are you ok?" Blake asks in concern.
"Yeah i'm fine. It seems your friend has a lot in her mind now." He said.
"I just hope she makes the right choice." She said.
The two went back to the house but Haru can tell this is only the beginning.
Note: Ilia appeared and yet Haru surpassed her, she might be able to handle Blake and Sun together but Haru fought guys way stronger than them. Plus his base is getting stronger because of new forms that are unlocked, he also has been getting dirt on Adam to make sure his dream can happen by destroying Adam's views.
