Chapter 72 Schnee Household

The group went inside the mansion and looked around, it was really fancy with many things.

"Well this certainly something." Blake said.

"Yeah rich girl." Yang said.

Weiss frowns being called that.

"Oh Weiss." They saw a younger boy come forward that has Weiss hair and eye color.

"Whitley." She frowns.

"So good to see you returned." He smiles. "I heard that you had a fiance, but I think your lying-"

"No it's me." Haru said.

"What?!" Whitley got surprised.

"That's right, so i'm going to be your... Brother." Haru smirks.

Whitley frowns being called that. "Whatever." He walks away.

"He doesn't seem that friendly." Ruby said.

"He isn't, we don't get along." Weiss frowns.

"I see." Yang frowns too.

They went upstairs as they went down a hallway, Haru looks around and peeked inside a room, he stops to see a woman holding a glass and drinking.

He can tell that was alcohol making him frown, he can tell that must be Weiss' mother.

"Haru!" Ruby calls out.

"Oh coming." He goes after them.

Weiss stops at her father's office and frowns, this is it.

"Okay, stay out here while me and Haru go inside." She said.

The girls nodded as the two went inside of the office. They saw Jacques sitting on a desk and he looks at them.

"Weiss, good that you have returned." He said.

"Yes father." She said.

He then looks at Haru. "So this is your fiance?"

"Yes, this is Haru Kaneki, the hero of Vale." She said with pride.

"So he's the one that stopped the entire war." He stares at Haru.

"Yes." Haru nodded.

"Well I would like to talk to him... Alone."

Weiss got worried but nodded, she goes outside leaving the two of them there.

"So what's your business with my daughter?" He questions Haru.

"Me? I just met her during Beacon, then fell in love. Same old story you must have heard before. Only this one came real." Haru said.

Jacques stares at him. "Even so, as a future Schnee heir, Weiss' husband would take her family's name."

"Really?" Haru said.

That must mean that, Jacques is not a Schnee by blood.

"Yes, and I don't think a random hunter is good enough for this family." Jacques said.

"Random?" Haru felt insulted.

"Even with you as the hero of Vale, your only a student without any proper achievements as a true Hunter. Much less one from a lower class family." Jacques said.

Haru got mad hearing that, he just insulted his own family.

"Which is why-" he then got a call.

He then answers it. "What is it?"

Jacques then heard more and it seems theres some trouble with the production. He sighs. "Fine i'll be on my way. We'll finish later." He leaves the office.

Weiss then came in. "How did it go?"

"You wanna know? Bad." He said.

"I should have known." She sighs.

"He just came and insulted my family and me." He said.

Weiss got shocked. "It seems he didn't accept you like how I did."

"I don't care what he thinks about me, but insulting my family... That I will never forgive." Haru said.

Weiss frowns, she doesn't want this to end bad between the two of them. But her father can be stubborn.

"I really wanted this to end well." Weiss said.

"Yeah me too, but what happened back there? Why did he leave?" Haru said.

"There must have been something with the dust production. It's one of the few reasons he might leave if they have something important." She said.

"I see, well we should be careful just in case." He said.

She nodded many times.

"So what do we do now?" He asked.

"I could show you around more." She suggested.

"Yes, that would be good. Also is your father married into the family?" He said.

"Yes... He must have said something that made you think that." Weiss said.

Haru thinks about it. "Does this happen a lot?"

"Sometimes, today must have been one of those days." she said. "Some of the reasons were the White Fang but Adam is gone and Blake said it was his fault those attacks happened."

Haru tries to think of a reason why would Jacques be called right away. Could it be a enemy or a accident?

"Well let's go for a bit." Haru said.

Weiss nodded since she wants to spend time with him and her friends the most.

The two of them went out and Yang said: "So bad?"

"If mocking my parents counts as that then yes." Haru said.

The trio got surprised as Yang got mad with her eyes changing to red.

"What?!" She said.

"How could he say that?" Ruby said.

"Weiss, even I have to say that's a dick move." Blake said.

"I know." Weiss frowns.

"But I won't let that get to me since one wrong move and we're screwed." Haru said.

Yang takes deep breaths as she really hates that bastard for insulting Haru's family like that.

"Well girls how about we go out and see the rest of my house." Weiss tries to lighten up the mood.

They nodded and she showed them around the place.

They were still mad for what happened with Jacques and Haru, the older Schnee almost threatened Haru but didn't have the chance because of that call.

Which is still bugging Haru since that could be important.

Note: Haru met Jacques and Whitley, and the older Schnee made a mistake, but now they have bigger problems happening later on.
