Up in the stands, Ms. Joke said, "Hey, Eraser. I'm guessing a lot of our kids will think it's important to finish fast. Like the first ones to pass will be ranked as the top. So they'll want to attack. Immediately."

Aizawa replied, "Yes. But teamwork is the key. The wise ones will cooperate and gather information together. But if they're seduced by the urge to win and rush to get points, they'll end up exposing themselves. And then it's all over."

Down in the arena, a student from Ketsubutsu, Shikkui, said to Shindo, "None of our attacks are landing."

Shindo replied, "I guess we shouldn't be surprised UA won't go down without a fight."

Shikkui said, "Maybe not. But we have a plan." He turned the balls he had in his hand super hard. He then threw the balls to Itejiro, who caught them.

Itejiro said, "I'll take it from here. Just try not to be jealous when I end up finishing ahead of the rest of the class. But I'm sure you won't mind since I'll be reducing enemy numbers with this elegant attack. Target. Lock on." He then threw the balls, which went underground. "Boomerang. Crescent Moon Trajectory. My aim is always true. And since these projectiles are coming at them from underground, no one will have time to dodge."

Izuku saw the attack coming and looked around, "Where are they gonna pop out?"

Jiro stepped forward, "Get back! I'll handle this." She plugged her earphone jacks into devices on her hands. "Sound Amplification. Amplifier Jack! Heartbeat Distortion!" She aimed her attack to the ground, breaking it apart. But the balls flew out towards Class A.

Mina stepped forward, "Maximum strength and viscosity! Acid Veil!" The balls melted in her acid.

Up in the stands, Ms. Joke said, "So, they've been working on ultimate moves already."

Aizawa replied, "Yes, of course they have."

Down in the arena, Tokoyami shouted, "Black Abyss!"

Izuku whispered, "Cooler name. And easier to say."

Tokoyami said, "Now, Dark Shadow. Piercing Twilight Claws."

He aimed the attack at Tatami, but she activated her Quirk, sucking the top part of her body in to avoid the attack. She poked her head out, "Whew. That was close."

Shindo said, "Interesting. This isn't the Class A from the Sports Festival. It's obvious that their training is making them better fighters. They're trying to reach the level of Fenton, as he is the biggest threat out of them all."

Up in the judge's box, Mera said, "Looks like all the students are still at a stalemate. Not a single one's passed yet. Oh, and don't worry, students. I'll keep you updated with an announcement every time a few students move onto the next round."

Phantom floated down to Izuku, who whispered, "They're trying to find our blind spots. It's going to be hard to attack them while defending our blind spots."

Phantom whispered back, "We'll protect each other. Don't worry."

Meanwhile, Shindo said, "All right."

Up in the stands, Ms. Joke said, "At UA, you look further ahead than other schools. That's a pretty condescending thing to say, Eraser. Do you have any idea how many kids in this world want to be heroes? Strength of will is far more important than going to a famous school or having renown. When you think you're the stars and look down on others, you reveal your weaknesses. That's how you fail."

Down on the field, Shindo shouted, "Out of the way! Their defenses are too strong right now. I'll fix that. Maximum force! Tremoring Earth!"

His attack blew up the ground under Class A's feet. Phantom created a shield around as many classmates as he could, but Izuku wasn't so lucky and fell towards the ground.

Shindo smirked, "We've got Ultimate Moves, too. You didn't think you were the only ones, did ya?"

Phantom put the few classmates he was able to save, and glared hard at Shindo. "But your Ultimate Move made you immobile. I can tell by your body language. So now is the perfect time for payback!" He took a deep breath and unleashed his Ghostly Wail, making Shindo and the rest of Ketsubutsu Academy fly away.

Elsewhere, Shoto felt the tremors, "Tremors? An earthquake? No, probably someone's Quirk."

Suddenly he and several students around him heard Phantom's Ghostly Wail and they covered their ears. The other students were starting to freak out.

Up in the judge's box, Mera yawned, "Come on. There should have been at least one or two who passed by now. Stop biding your time and get this over with."

Down in the arena, a huge whirlwind swept away balls from other examinees. The culprit was Inasa, who shouted, "I believe it's very important for heroes to have passion. And all of you are fighting with it. Thank you! That's one of my favorite things to see on Earth. Please let me join your fight and show my own passion. I'm so looking forward to it!" He sent the whirlwind of balls down towards the examinees, getting several of them out.

Mera perked his head up when he heard a ping on the computer in front of him, "Huh? It's about time somebody perked up and passed." He then screamed, "What? There were 120 people taken down? A single person managed to do that in just one attack?"

Inasa sighed, "That's the stuff. I won!"

Mera said, "That actually surprised me so much that I'm awake. I assume we'll see a lot of people passing from now on. Everyone, let's get this out of the way so I can take a break. Good? Good."

Meanwhile, Izuku stood up from where he fell, "Man, what a Quirk. Although it seems like it would be hard to use in a city."

"Izuku!" Phantom floated down to him. "Are you OK?"

Izuku nodded, "Yeah, but it looks like that guy's attack split us up. This might be what Ketsubutsu planned all along."

Phantom replied, "I was able to save some of them, so I'm trying to go around and find everyone else."

But then Phantom suddenly put up a ghost shield just as Camie from Shiketsu Academy came out of nowhere to try and hit one of Izuku's targets."

Camie sighed, "Man, I wanted to tag you. I thought I would have got you since you were staring off into space. Until this ghost brat stepped in. But it's really weird that you're still smiling even though you're in trouble. You couldn't be cooler."

Phantom growled, "She's from Shiketsu Academy."

Camie continued to talk, "In fights where a lot of one on one combat is expected, most people tend to go after opponents they've already got a lot of intel on, since it's safest. That's why I tracked you down, because there's a good possibility that UA's students will be ganged up on. See, I didn't wanna miss the chance to interact with such a prestigious school, and I've taken quite an interest in you."

Izuku replied, "You sure like to talk."

Camie attacked by throwing a rock at Izuku, who dodged. Phantom threw an ecto blast at her, but she dodged.

Camie scoffed, "Stay out of this, ghost brat. This is between me and your friend."

Phantom chuckled, "Is that because you think you have no chance against me? Or that Izuku was an easy target? Izuku is much more than you think."

Camie threw her ball at Izuku, but he dodged.

Phantom went to attack Camie, but she disappeared.

She suddenly appeared near Izuku, but Izuku dodged, ready to counterattack. But Camie disappeared again.

She suddenly came up to Izuku from behind, "Oh. You think my Quirk lets me disappear?" She tackled him to the ground. "That's not it. I was just hiding."

Izuku asked, "It wasn't your power at work?"

"Nope," Camie answered. "It's just a technique. I make my opponent's eyes and ears blind and deaf to my presence. To do that, I hold my breath, clear my mind, and disappear. It's simple. The hardest part is not thinking, to be honest."

Izuku asked, "You learned a technique that impressive and Shiketsu?"

Camie answered, "The trick is to not view your training as some kind of chore. I'm glad we're learning about each other. Now, my question. Why exactly do you wanna become a hero? For honor? Pride? Or is it someone else's sake? I wanna know your deepest desires, and what scares you."

Izuku pushed Camie off of him while Phantom flew over and sent an ecto blast at her to make her fly further away.

Suddenly the ground started to rumble and Izuku dodged an attack that came from underground.

Toteki from Ketsubutsu was above, "Man. Shiketsu's trying to take them down, too?"

Izuku muttered, "Not good."

Phantom then turned intangible, "Izuku, there are others around this guy. Get ready to dodge."

Attacks started coming toward them and Izuku dodged all of them. Phantom was intangible so none of the attacks hit him. Several of the attacking students grumbled that Phantom wasn't being fair. Phantom retaliated by using ecto energy on several of the balls thrown at him and threw them back, hitting several of the students' targets, but not getting anyone out.

Suddenly Izuku heard Ochaco shout, "Are you OK? Over here, hurry!" Izuku looked over and saw Ochaco sitting on a rock ledge.

Suddenly she started getting attacks towards her from Shiketsu students and fell off the ledge as she dodged them.

Izuku activated One For All and jumped after Ochaco, catching her. He then used his Ultimate Move to make the rock ledges around him crumble down, sending the Shiketsu students down with them.

Phantom them floated over and became visible, "Oh, what do we have here? What to do with all of you?" He then grinned with his ghostly green eyes glowing, causing several students to become scared.

Up in the judge's box, Mera yawned, "Well, we've finally had a 30th person pass. Still a pretty long way to go, though. Can't you kids speed this along? For me? Especially you, ghost kid. I know you can get out quickly, but you haven't. What's the deal?"

Down in the arena, Izuku set Ochaco down behind a rock wall and looked around. He knew the other Shiketsu students were looking for him as he heard them talking about finding the other UA students.

Ochaco muttered, "Thanks, sorry. I really messed up back there, huh?"

Izuku replied, "No, that's not true. You were outnumbered back there."

As Izuku was looking around, Ochaco had a ball in her hand and was trying to secretly touch one of Izuku's targets with it.

But Izuku noticed and smacked her hand away, "Let me guess. You're someone from Shiketsu? Uraraka has been working on her Quirk. Training hard. She can even ignore its side effects for a short period of time and use it to make herself float without getting sick. But you. You haven't tried to use it at all, even though you were in danger. And even more suspicious. You exposed yourself to the enemy without a plan. That's not like the Uraraka I know. So who are you?"

The fake Ochach chuckled as her skin turned grey and droopy as she shifted into Camie, "If you saved me even though you knew I was a fake, does that mean you were trying to use me somehow?"

Izuku gasped at the weird transformation in front of him, "No. I didn't have time to think that far ahead. I'd do it again, in a heartbeat, though. Because if you're not Uraraka, you couldn't have floated away back there. Falling from that height, you definitely would have injured yourself."

Camie replied, "Oh? I see now. So you're just that good of a guy, huh? Please, tell me everything about yourself. Everything. Does that mean you'll save anybody? Is there no boundary? Where do you draw the line?"

Her transformation finished, but without clothes. Izuku freaked out, "Holy whoa, what happened to your clothes? You're basically naked!"

Camie started to charge at Izuku, "I'll get dressed when my mission's complete." She managed to scratch Izuku before he was able to jump away.

Suddenly tape flew towards the two and prevented Camie from attacking Izuku further. Sero called out, "Midoriya! What's this enviable situation you're in? Uraraka!"

Ochaco jumped out from behind him and charged down towards Camie, but the naked girl jumped out of the way.

Camie pouted, "And here things were just getting good. Too bad. I really, really, wanted to talk to you some more. But not with so many people around. What a bummer. Ochaco Uraraka. He really trusts you a lot, you know."

But before she could say more, Phantom appeared and blasted her away with an ecto blast. "OK, that girl is just crazy." He floated down to Izuku, Sero, and Ochaco, "Are you guys OK?"

Sero shouted, "We should go after that naked girl!"

But Izuku stopped him, "Don't follow her."

Sero groaned, "Oh, man, why not?"

Izuku answered, "It might've just been her Quirk, but it looked like she wasn't wearing her clothes or her targets. There's still a chance she might come after us. But think about it, we don't have much time left, and it would be hard to get a point off of her."

Phantom nodded, "Especially since I blasted her far away."

Izuku then asked, "Also, you guys are actually you, right?"

Sero was confused, "What are you talking about?"

Izuku answered, "Well, earlier that girl transformed into Uraraka's clone."

Ochaco gasped in shock while Sero shook Izuku, "Was she naked then, too, Midoriya?"

Izuku was confused, "That's what you're concerned about? Of course not, she had a costume on!"

Phantom pulled Sero away from Izuku, "Dude, chill. Now's not the time to think about that. In fact, that's never a good thing to talk about aloud. Especially when a lady is present." He looked over at Ochaco, who was blushing with embarrassment.

Sero calmed down, "So that hottie's Quirk is to transform into other people. Weird."

Izuku nodded, "I know."

Sero said, "We can't underestimate how much those other schools have learned about us. They even know you and Uraraka are really good friends."

Izuku replied, "Probably because we were on the same cavalry battle team at the sports festival."

Ochaco added, "Yeah, that must be why."

Sero then looked over at Phantom, "I'm surprised you haven't passed yet. You could've been out of this much earlier."

Phantom answered, "That would've been too easy for me. Plus, I want to protect you guys from everyone else. I know you guys can defend yourself. But since all the other schools have it out for UA, my saving nature kicked in. I've at least hit many targets on the other students, but I haven't gotten anyone out yet. Plus, I think many of the other students are scared of me, so they're staying away."

Izuku then asked, "Anyway, how'd you guys find me? It was perfect timing."

Sero answered, "I just saw a fight and rushed over to help. We ran into each other along the way."

Phantom shrugged, "I saw that crazy chick from before, so I made sure she stayed away from you."

Ochaco added, "I'm glad we got to help."

Izuku nodded, "Yeah, me, too."

Ochaco said, "So now it's the four of us. What next?"

Sero replied, "I wish we could meet up with the rest of the class. We're way safer in numbers."

Izuku nodded, "That's true. But 30 people have already passed this test so far. We have to hurry. If we're gonna pass, we've gotta earn some points."

Phantom smirked, "Then let's find our friends and pass this thing."

Elsewhere, Shoto was thinking to himself, "The other schools are sticking together, moving around in groups of ten or more. I could attack one of them, but there could be people with Quirks I'm weak against. Ideally, the various teams would fight each other, bringing the numbers down of each group down to something more manageable for me to pick off."

Mera then announced, "Let's see, where are we at now? Things've been moving a lot more quickly. Looks like 52, make that 53, have passed. And, looking on the other side of things. It seems that 230 examinees have failed. Less than half the spots are open. Now's the time to move. Don't dally, kids."

Shoto said, "I don't have the luxury of waiting around." He then ran out of his hiding spot.

Just then a ball launched towards him. Shoto burned it before it could reach him.

Just then, several students from Seijin Academy popped out. One student said, "That was pretty good! Just what I'd expect from the third place student of the UA sports festival. The name's Todoroki, right? I can't believe you're out here wandering around all by yourself. You must be really confident."

Another student added, "But even if he is from UA High, acting alone is just asking for trouble."

Another student said, "A ten on one fight. He doesn't stand a chance."

Shoto replied, "This is great. Now I don't have to find opponents.

The first student chuckled, "Aren't you cool."

The Seijin students threw balls towards Shoto, but he blocked them with his ice, and sent more ice to freeze the students in place.

Shoto smirked, "You're surprised? I thought you said you watched the sports festival."

The first student shouted, "Don't be cocky! We're prepared!" He threw a bolt that suddenly enlarged, but Shoto blocked it with his ice.

"That's not all I brought with me!" He threw more objects at Shoto. The ice wall finally broke and Shoto tried to melt the objects, but had to jump out of the way as they wouldn't melt.

The first student chuckled, "Your fire won't work against any of my tools. Tungsten has a super high melting point." He then freed his classmates. "I'm afraid I told you so, Todoroki. Even if you're a top UA student, if you think you can pass this exam alone, well then, your pride will be your downfall."
