2018 Castle Grove City New York

Darkness flooded over Castle Grove as Crimelords from Bludhaven and Gotham begun to run drug trade routes straight through it. More people were in danger then ever. If that wasn't bad enough, the corporations of Metropolis had begun building factories inside this city that upped pollution, made the air unclean. Living in this city was a nightmare. Soon, the city created it's own crime Syndicate which was the middleman between Bludhaven and Gotham.

"The Crime in Castle Grove has increased exponentially these past three years," New Reporter Ellen Banks began. "People are now getting addicted to a substance known as Redburst. We are now here with Police Chief Brandon Knight as he explains the ongoing tragedy that has befallen our once beloved city."

"People of Castle Grove," the Chief began. "We must ban together in this time of darkness. Stay inside, keep your doors locked, and do not go out past dark. I beg you to follow these instructions."

Alec Bridgeend changed the toon on his radio as he drove his girlfriend Cindy Ray and little sister Janna Bridgeend to the movie theater.

"Should we even be out now?", Cindy wondered.

"Technically no," Alec admitted. "But, I've been waiting two years for the Rise of Wildcat. I am not waiting for crime to stop before I do."

"Ok, but why can't we see it during the day time?", Cindy pointed out.

"Tickets always sell out during the day now," Janna jumped in. Alec was nineteen years old with brown hair, blue eyes and taking online college classes in Musical Arts. Janna was sixteen, had the same colored hair and eyes as her brother and still in highschool. Cindy was eighteen, blonde with short hair, green eyes and taking general studies at Castle Tech.

Alec and Janna were always big fans of superheroes and crime fighting. They took self defense classes growing up and enjoyed running and doing back flips. Alec, was a blackbelt in Karate when he was fourteen and Kick boxing when he was seventeen. Currently he was a beginner in Taekwondo. He also was on the wrestling team during his senior year of high school. His sister was still in Karate, but she was also taking gymnastics. She would dress up as a cosplayer of Batgirl from time to time.

Cindy wasn't a martial artist, but she did do cheer leading and Tenis growing up. Generally she stuck to her studies and wasn't into superhero comics and stuff like her boyfriend and his little sister.

"You heard what the radio said," Cindy continued to worry. "Crime is rising still. The Police Chief clearly doesn't think it'll stop anytime soon. We should go back to my place, I'll make milkshakes and my dad can put on the Baseball game for us to watch."

"You want us to miss Wildcat for baseball," Janna gasped in an over exaggerated tone. "You don't know what your missing."

"As much as I want to see some old dude running around in tights beating up people," Cindy began while rolling her eyes. "We still have other alternatives then being out past nine. What if someone tries to mug us?"

"In a theater parking lot?", Alec laughed and she frowned at him. "Ok, don't make that face. I'll park as close to the theater door as possible. That way we can be in an out. How does that sound?"

"I guess that could work," Cindy begrudgingly complied.

"Good negotiating bro," Janna whispered behind him.

That was the beginning of the end of normality. At least for Alec Bridgeend. A car right next to theirs, suddenly exploded. Causing the car to flip. The car began to role as the sound of gunfire began.

Alec awoke to a ringing sound as his head felt like it was spinning. He wiped blood off his forehead and unbuckled himself. "Are you two ok?" He checked on his sister who was crying in the back of the car. "Don't worry, I'm here. Cindy, what about you?" He shook his girlfriend who was unconscious. "Cindy?"

"Don't shake her," Janna coughed. She unbuckled herself like her brother did and tried to crawl out of the car.

"Janna," Alec growled. "Stay in the car. Are you crazy? Janna!"

"Go, go, go," a voice yelled as the sounds of automatic weapons began to fill the air.

"No wait," Janna screamed as she was picked up by a tall muscular man with a long black ponytail.

"I have a hostage," the man yelled. "Now back off!"

"Janna," Alec yelled. He crawled out of the car to see the ponytail man running off with his little sister. He checked himself to see if he was injured badly and noticed an emergency vehicle sirens in the distance. He then checked his girlfriends pulse and felt that she was still breathing. He waved the emergency vehicle to himself. "Hang in there Cindy. I'm going to get my sister back, then we'll be back for you." Alec ran off after the Ponytail man.

Alec trailed behind the ponytail man. He noticed the man was heading to Castle Grove Docks.

"Let me go," Janna screamed before the man muzzled her.

"Shut up," the ponytail man growled. "The cops will be here any second. I don't need you making noise." He tossed her to the ground and pointed his pistol at her. She kicked the gun out of his hand and then his smacked her. "Got some fight in you huh. Too bad, I'll just have to kill you slow." He reached down to strangle her, but was tackled from behind by Alec.

"Leave her alone," Alec yelled. He grabbed the man from behind his knees throwing the ponytail man off balance. Then he headbutted the man making sure he stayed down. Alec then turned to his sister and took her muzzle off before hugging her. "Are you ok?"

"Look out," she screamed before throwing Alec to the side.

A gunshot went off and she fell to the ground.

The ponytail man then aimed his gun at Alec who screamed in anger as he moved to tackle the man again. The man's gun went off again, but he missed as Alec disarmed the ponytail man and slammed his foot into the man's knee then jabbed him between the eyes with a right hook.

The man stumbled back and fell over before Alec started punching him in the face over and over.

"Alec," Janna spoke up as she laid back on the ground bleeding out.

"Janna," Alec grunted as he ran over to his sister. Tears welled up in his eyes when he saw her body go limp. He held her close as he cried. "Janna no," he sobbed. "It's all my fault." The sounds of sirens began to get closer and Alec let go of his sister before running off. He put his hood up and hopped the fence, escaping the scene before the police even reached the area.

Five months later, Janna was buried. Cindy managed to survive, but she wasn't able to walk anymore. Alec never spoke to Cindy after the funeral, he kept his distance. Isolated himself from his parents and everyone else around him. He was suppose to protect her, but he failed. He couldn't help Janna and he crippled his girlfriend, for what? To see a movie about a fake hero.

The Ponytail Man was identified as Jason Scotch, a prominent drug dealer. He was an underling who sold Redburst. Apparently, the police set up a sting operation and captured him. Then his compatriots tried to have him killed, so they set off an explosive in the middle of the freeway. It was their fault he escaped and it was their fault his sister was taken hostage. Their explosive was what crippled Cindy and let the ponytail man loose. It was time to stop them once and for all. The Chief of Police might be afraid of this organization, but Alec wasn't.

He dug through the clothes in his closet until he managed to put together an all black costume. He then took a white hockey mask and red spray paint. He painted a red x over the mask and put it on. He grabbed the cape and belt from his sister's cosplay outfit and armed himself with three pocket knives and a taser.

"I will stop this," Alec growled under his breath. "They will all pay."
