Moonscar island, not many lived there, only a few such Simon and Lena lived there. They've lived there for over 200 years. And then there was Jacques, the fairy driver. He usually took people to the island, but never back. In fact, the only one who he ever brought off the island was Lena. Currently she was in Louisiana, looking for 'guests' to bring back. It was a ritual that needed to be completed.

But enough of that for now. We go to Mr Fersnbey. A man in a suit. With a briefcase in hand. He was on a busy phone call with his boss. "Yes sir, I know my job. Yes, sir I'm aware about the importance of this 'project'. Yes sir, I know. I need to go, if anyone finds out what I carry in this briefcase. Yes, I know. Moonscar Island. I need to figure out how to get there. I know, under the radar. I'll call you soon".

He left the apartment building, he was in. Truth be told, a sharply dressed man like him wouldn't usually be found in a place like that. But he was carrying sensitive cargo. He opened the case and inside was a frozen egg. His boss has stolen it from a company named Weyland-Yutani. His boss didn't even work there. And yet he was able to make off without anyone noticing. Weyland-Yutiani, what a bunch of idiots. Of course, his orders were to release it in a remote location. His boss told him to go to Moonscar Island. But to do so, quietly. Under orders from Phibes. Mr Fernsby turned on tv. "Another mystery solved by the famous Freddy, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby Doo". Mr Fernsby heard about Shaggy, or his uncle. His boss hated him. He continued to flip through channels.

Lena was currently around in the markets. She wondered who'd be their victim today. Suddenly, someone bumped into her. He saw that she was tanned, had black hair, brown eyes and appeared quite young. He guessed in her twenties.

"Oh. My apologies. I've been distracted".

"It's alright. Thank you, Mr"?

"Names Axel. But I go by Mr Fersnbey".

"A pleasure to meet you".

"Believe me mam, the pleasures all mine".

Lana laughed. "You certainly are charming. Although you're not the kind of man I usually see around here".

"I'm looking for somewhere quiet to go".

"Really? What a coincidence. If you want somewhere quiet, I know the perfect place".

"That's kind of you, but I already got a place in mind".

"I see. Where, if you don't mind me asking".

"It's a place called Moonscar Island".

She was surprised. "Really. I'm from there. That's where I was going to suggest".

He laughed. "It really is a coincidence".

"Indeed".

Mr Fersnbey let out a sigh. "To be honest, it's not for a vacation. I figure it's the perfect place to do my work".

She seemed understanding. "You can do your work without any fuss".

"There aren't many people there, is there"?

"No. Why"?

"My work is very confidential, I wouldn't cany anyone to compromise it".

"I assure you. Nobody will bother you. In fact, I know a man that will take us to the island".

"Really".

She nodded. "I can take you there as soon as I'm done shopping".

"I would like that. Miss"?

"Lena. Lena Dupree".

Mr Fernsby was kind enough to assist her with the shopping. And Lena then drove him to the fairy.

Lena smirked to herself. Another victim. This was too easy. Axel smirked to himself. The perfect test subject.

Lana took Axel to the boat. She introduced him to Jacques.

"Pleased to meet you sir".

"Likewise, friend".

The bargeman offered some lemonade. "No thanks. I'm not thirsty".

"Suit yourself".

On the journey, Lena and Axel talked more.

"Do you live alone on the island"?

She shook her head. "I live with Simone".

"Anyone else"?

"There's this fisherman, but we don't see him much. I invited him to the house a few times, but he prefers the company of his warthog".

"He prefers the company of animals"?

"In all fairness, my mistress loves her cats".

"How many she got, three, four".

Lena giggled. "A bit more than that. What about you, what's your job"?

He looked uncomfortable. "I don't really talk about my work to people I only met. It's nothing personal. Strict orders from my superior. But I can assure you will see it for yourself soon enough".

"Try not to take too long".

"I won't, don't worry. You might see it by the end of the day.

Lena nodded. "That's sounds like the right moment".

"I believe there's also a harvest moon tonight".

"Yes. It's a beautiful thing to look at".

He nodded. I gather the island was used as a pepper plantation".

Lena nodded. "That's right. In fact, the house me and Simone live is a former plantation house".

"I also hear the island is haunted".

Lena laughed. "They say the island is haunted by the ghost of Morgan Moonscar".

Axel smirked. "Who says monsters aren't real".

When they finally got there, Lena drove him to the plantation house. "Hold on, the road's a little bumpy".

Axel was pleased. He tried to call Dr Phibes. No answer. It seemed this island had no coverage. It's alright, he had other ways. As they walked, Axel saw someone else. A muscular man. "Who's that? A gardener"? Lena nodded. "That's Beau. He's new here".

"You didn't mention him".

"I don't know him that well to be honest. We only recently hired him. He can be a bit grouchy".

Lena led Axel to the front door. He got a look at the house. Usually, buildings like that had a horrible story to them. His boss always said slavery was terrible. Although, he meant more for targeting people based on the colour of their skin. His boss liked to view himself as a noble bad guy for such views. Perhaps if someone had those thoughts a century ago. But in this day and age, he'd be seen as a looney at best. Mr Fersnbey had no opinion of slavery personally. It's not what he's instructed to do. He already has a task.

"Are you listening".

He looked at her. "Sorry. I was thinking".

She wasn't bothered and nodded

Axel saw a cat come close and he put his case down and picked up the cat to pet it. The door was opened by a beautiful middle aged blonde woman wore a blue shirt over a white dress.

Axel put the cat down kissed her hand. "You must be the Simone Lenior I was told about. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Mr Fersnbey".

Simone smiled. "You certainly are a gentleman. And it seems you're a cat lover. What brings you here"?

"I need a quiet place to work and Lena assured me that here was peaceful. If that's alright with you".

"Why of course. Welcome to my home. This house has belonged to my family for generations".

"I heard it was once a plantation".

Simone nodded. "It seems you know a lot".

"I also heard it's haunted. It won't disturb my work will it"?

She waved it off. "Of course not, I pride my home as being peaceful".

"I don't mean to be rude but can I be shown my room first".

Lena nodded. "Follow me". He did so. "Here it is. I'll hope you'll be comfortable. Can I offer you drink or perhaps some peppers. Ours are the hottest".

"No thanks. I'm alright, but thanks".

Lena walked away. He seemed like a nice man. It's almost a shame what would happen to him.

Axel watched her as she left. She seemed like a lovely lady. It's almost a shame what would happen to her.

He was about to open the case, but he heard a weird noise. "What the"? He went to investigate. He needed to make sure it wouldn't get in his way. Whatever it is, it better not interfere with his work.
