The chaotic sounds of the forest had finally died down, the furious buzzing of the Beedrill swarm fading into a distant memory. The silence that followed was almost surreal, a stark contrast to the pandemonium from earlier. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the forest transformed. The night settled in, casting a dark yet beautiful veil over the surroundings. The sky, dotted with twinkling stars, peeked through the gaps in the dense canopy. The nocturnal chorus of crickets and the occasional snoring of a few Pokemon filled the air, creating a symphony that was both calming and enchanting.
Josh and Misty worked in silence, setting up their campsite for the night. The flickering flames of the campfire cast a warm glow, illuminating their focused faces. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence; it was the quiet shared between two people who were equally exasperated with the boy tied to a tree nearby.
Ash Ketchum, with a rope securely binding him to the trunk, sat in silence, his face a mix of guilt and defiance. The makeshift restraint was a punishment, a lesson he needed to learn after his reckless actions had nearly gotten them all hurt.
"Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit?" Ash broke the silence, with uncertain on his voice knowing that while he may have screwed up, he thought by being tied to a tree would be too much.
Josh didn't respond immediately. He finished tying off a tent flap before turning to face Ash. His voice didn't show any kind of emotion, but from the time he passed a whole hour shouted at the boy for being reckless, stupid, and endangering his life, his pokemon and even theirs by not even listening to him... The poketuber showed that he wasn't in the mood to waste his words...
"Are you hungry?" That was the only question he did for the boy who at the moment got shouted, beaten a bit by the gorilla girl, had good noodles which they used hot water and brought from their supply of food, and he ate all he could get before Josh and Misty came to a conclusion that he needed to be tied to a tree, which surprised him for them working together and managing to overwhelm him on that way.
"No," Ash replied hesitantly, Josh took his own cellphone and tried was look for something.
"Thirsty?" Josh asked again and the boy shook his head. And then the final question. "Need to go to the bathroom?"
"No, but—" Ash replied but then paused, realizing his mistake too late. "I mean, yes!"
Josh smirked, shaking his head.
"Nice try, Ash. You're staying tied up for the rest of the night. You need to reflect on what you did." Josh wasn't going to let him out of hook too easily, since that boy thought he would try to trick him for doing something so stupid, he wasn't going to let the boy go... Especially on how angry he let himself and Misty get from doing that stupid idea.
Ash sighed, squirming a bit against the ropes but finding no give. The campfire crackled softly, its light dancing in the eyes of the three trainers. Misty, sitting cross-legged by the fire, finally spoke up, her tone carrying the weight of her frustration.
"Ash, you need to understand how serious this is. You can't just run off and expect everything to work out." Misty commented as she herself felt that she needed to vent it out, and as much she would like to beat again Ash, she never felt so tired and wanted so much to get out from the forest as she was at the moment. "Did ever cross into your mind what did you do today?"
"I heard you both shouting at me..." Ash commented as if he was a petulant child, as he sounded guilty, but didn't cross his head how fatal the consequences were... Until he got shouted at again and again like he was being grounded at that moment. "I know I messed up, and I'm very sorry..."
"Are you sorry because of what you did? Or are you sorry for the consequences it got you?" Josh commented as he took one purple bottle and Misty realized what was that item, it had been one of the potions he bought in the store, and from the lessons he took from Nurse Joy, she never thought it would come in handy at that moment. "Ever heard the expression of, I'm not sorry because of what I did, I'm sorry because I got caught?"
"Hey, I'm sorry for endangering you, and endangering my pokemon." Ash said as then Josh shook his head, which made the boy pause.
"But you didn't sound sorry when I said for you to stay at Viridian City for we have the better preparations to get inside of the forest, and from the chain of effects, one mistake led to another one since you got a paralyzed Pidgey, a bruised and tired Pikachu, and now you are complaining for the fact I'm simply tying you up on a tree for you to stay at night," Josh commented as Misty was behind him, who also looked exhausted of everything which happened to her. "I'm going to speak my mind for you Ash... We were enjoying a lot in the city as we took our preparations, and when we heard you disappeared, we took our time to enjoy our last hour of food and shower before getting inside the forest, because we knew that at the time we would leave Viridian City, we wouldn't be returning to there so early... You brought one of the most dangerous swarms of insects into the direction of a person who had a phobia of insects, and then you managed to cause such chaos of your own volition... It was because of that I didn't want to go into a journey with you, I wanted to go into my own pace, my own time, and my own rules, and yet I'm obliged to fix your mess up, thankfully for me and Misty we saved your ass, your pokemon, and ourselves... So why don't you do me a favor? A shut the hell up for the rest of the night?"
Josh's comment made Ash have his eyes wide open, and then with his mouth shut, Ash hung his head, the reality of his actions sinking in. The stars above continued to shine, indifferent to the small drama unfolding below. The forest around them, with its sweet silence and natural beauty, seemed almost to be watching, a silent witness to the lesson being learned under its canopy. Josh took a blanket and wrapped up around the shoulder and on the body of the boy who was tied to the tree.
Misty remained in silence as she sat nearby on the bonfire, while Pikachu and Pidgey looked very conflicted about what to do.
Josh knelt beside Pikachu, holding a purple potion bottle in his hand. The electric mouse Pokémon looked up at him with tired eyes.
"Pikachu, this is going to sting a bit, but it will help you heal faster. Do you think you can handle it?" Josh knew that possibly the Pokemon world was far more different than he ever expected to see in his own life since a potion could have been taken and used in the middle of battle, but learning from Nurse Joy the true purpose and how to use the bottle of medicine, it was very anti-climatic in comparison than the game.
"Pika!" Pikachu commented determined, as the electric pokemon knew it was for the best.
Josh carefully sprayed the potion onto Pikachu's bruises. Pikachu winced, sparks of electricity crackling from its cheeks in response to the sharp pain.
"PIKAAA." Pikachu felt the burning from the potion spray crossing its bruises, but Josh knew very well the reason.
"Hold on, Pikachu. It'll be over soon." Josh commented as Pikachu gritted its teeth, enduring the discomfort as Josh continued to apply the medicine. When he finished, Josh placed a few band-aids on Pikachu's wounds and gave it a reassuring pat. "There you go. You did great. By tomorrow, you'll be ready for another day of adventure."
Pikachu nodded, still tired but visibly more comfortable. Josh then turned his attention to Pidgey, who was perched nearby, its wings drooping with fatigue.
"Alright, Pidgey. Let's take care of that paralysis." Josh knew from the story that Pokemon had paralysis, one of the most annoying status effects that happens in the videogame, he couldn't imagine how painful was to be in that position of paralysis for ours, as the same way poison could also be lethal and annoying for people who suffered such tragedy of being caught on that.
He pulled out a bottle of Paralyze Heal and carefully poured some into a small dish for Pidgey to drink. The bird Pokémon eyed the liquid warily but took a few hesitant sips.
"Good job. Now, this next part might hurt a bit, but it'll help." He gently sprayed the potion onto Pidgey's wings. Pidgey flinched at the sting, letting out a soft chirp of discomfort. "I know it hurts, but you'll feel better soon."
Pidgey settled down, understanding the necessity of the treatment. Josh finished applying the potion and gave Pidgey a gentle stroke along its feathers.
"There you go. Rest up, and we'll be back on track tomorrow." Josh commented satisfied as Misty brought a few bows of pokemon food to feed the poor bird and electric pokemon, usually eating something after being treated would help, as a lot of water to help them to hydrate.
Josh finished treating Pidgey, feeling a sense of relief as he watched the bird Pokémon settle down. Misty handed him bowls of Pokémon food and water, which he placed in front of Pikachu and Pidgey. The two Pokémon eagerly began to eat, their spirits lifting slightly with the nourishment.
The silence among the trio was heavy with exhaustion and the weight of the day's events. Just as the peaceful quiet was settling in, a sudden sound broke the silence—a Pokéball opening. Josh turned to see his best friend, Ditto, popping out and looking perfectly content and happy.
"Ditto." Commented as it showed the slimy arms greeting the trainer who looked surprised to see his little friend.
Seeing Ditto's cheerful expression, Josh couldn't help but smile. Ditto bounced over to him, using its small arms to gesture animatedly, trying to get Josh's attention.
"Hey, Ditto. You seem to be in a good mood." The trainer while looking stressed and tired from all the situation they were in, never thought about seeing his pokemon releasing itself from the Pokeball, meaning it wanted to have a little time with its trainer who seemed to need a distraction at that moment.
Ditto nodded enthusiastically, pointing towards the surrounding forest with its amorphous arms. Josh followed Ditto's gaze, taking in the serene beauty of the night. The forest was bathed in moonlight, casting a magical glow over the trees and foliage. The air was crisp and filled with the sounds of nature.
"Ditto, Ditto!" The slimy pokemon commented as it pointed across the forest and even used one of its slimy arms to in a zigzag which would mean something Josh knew perfectly well what it was...
"You want me to draw the forest, don't you?" Josh chuckled, understanding what Ditto was trying to convey. Ditto nodded vigorously, its form jiggling with excitement. It then pointed to itself, indicating it wanted to be included in the drawing. Which made him chuckle louder... "Alright, alright. I'll draw you too."
Josh seeing Misty who was taking care of her pokemon and feeding them as well, Josh knew that probably wouldn't be a good idea for her to see his 2 captured pokemon after such a chaotic morning... so he released both his Margicarp and Tentacool which the duo aquatic Pokemon didn't know why they were in such a situation...
"Hey guys, I'm sorry but you both need to share an aquarium this time in case you need water, it's time to feed you both. And if any of you are comfortable with being outside of the water you can tell me, but in case you both need to be over this forest to stretch out a bit before returning to the pokeball, you can also do it." Josh commented Misty was very kind to even fill the aquarium with water, and Margicarp was the first one to jump straight on there, with a good relief of never being on the water.
"Karp, Karp, margikarp." Magikarp said the sound which Josh could guess was the fish Pokemon wanted to be fed but then seeing the Tentacool also jumping in at the aquarium, Josh couldn't help but chuckle into seeing both pokemon squeezing themselves to fit on the same aquarium, while Josh used the pokemon food to release for both of them to eat...
"Tentacool," Tentacool said as ate it while the tentacles were still outside of the aquarium which made Josh look a bit appolegic.
"Sorry for that Tentacool, next time I'm going to buy an Aquarium just for you as well," Josh promised which made the duo still share the same aquatic place, but with enough view to see the forest from inside of the aquarium.
But that was enough for the poketuber had for the time, as he took his tablet and looked at Ditto who decided to be in the front of the Aquarium while giving a good pose for the boy to draw.
"Alright, alright, I'm already doing it," Josh commented as he chuckled from seeing his little pokemon excited for the next drawing he was about to make.
He found a comfortable spot by the campfire and began to do a digital art of the tranquil scene around them. Ditto doing a pose in front of both Margikarp and Tentacool behind him, as both seemed to be giving a weird look while they were inside the aquarium, Misty was nearby them as she was feeding her pokemon and also preparing water for her to eat noodles, and Ash behind on the corner was tied to a tree...
As Josh sketched, he found himself relaxing, the stress of the day slowly melting away. He drew the towering trees, the shimmering moonlight, and the subtle details of the forest. Then adding the details of his pokemon, seeing one of them doing a pose, while the other two acting naturally in that circumstance, Misty also acting naturally while Ash seemed to be sleeping in the position he was... It was simply digital art, but Josh never thought he would need it so much at that moment, even as he would need to be careful to not use all his battery, but with good speed and dedication. Josh already took a picture of that moment from both his cellphone and Tablet, so doing digital art wouldn't be a problem.
But needlessly to say that he wasn't needing that for that moment. Since he felt like everything was going to be fine in the end...
And that was just part of their journey.
The next morning, the forest of Viridian came to life with the gentle sounds of nature. Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting dappled patterns of light on the forest floor. The air was fresh, carrying the scent of pine and earth, and the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze created a serene atmosphere. The journey ahead would take Josh, Misty, and their Pokémon through several days of travel, navigating the wild and untamed terrain on their way to Pewter City—a journey made longer and more challenging due to Ash's previous recklessness.
But for now, Josh had other priorities. He was focused on helping Misty get more comfortable with the newest members of his team. After a quick breakfast, he led her to a small clearing nearby. The morning light was warm and welcoming, and the peaceful surroundings seemed like the perfect place for this important step.
Josh took a few steps away from the spot where they would be working and drew a circle in the dirt with his foot. He then measured out ten steps from the circle and marked a line on the ground. Misty stood just behind the line, her hands fidgeting slightly as she watched Josh, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. This was going to be difficult for her, but she was determined to try.
"Alright, Misty," Josh said gently, making sure she was comfortable with the distance. "Is this far enough for you?"
Misty swallowed hard, her eyes fixed on the marked circle. "I think so... I'm not sure, but I want to give it a try."
Josh nodded, offering her a reassuring smile. "You're doing great. Just take it one step at a time."
With that, Josh reached for his Poké Balls and released his two new Pokémon: a Caterpie and a Weedle. The small, bug-type Pokémon appeared in the circle, looking up at Josh with curiosity. He knelt down to their level, speaking to them in a calm and friendly tone.
"Good morning, Caterpie and Weedle. I'm Josh, your new trainer, and we're going to be a team from now on." He gestured toward Misty, who was watching from her spot behind the line. "See that girl over there? Her name's Misty. She's a friend, and she's a little nervous around you two."
Caterpie and Weedle looked over at Misty, then back at Josh, their tiny eyes blinking in understanding.
"It's not because of anything you've done," Josh continued, his voice gentle. "She's always been afraid of bug-type Pokémon, but she's trying her best to get over it. So I need you both to be patient with her. She's not afraid of who you are, but of what she's imagined. And trust me, she knows you're powerful and mighty." He added that last part with a playful wink, earning a small smile from Misty.
Caterpie and Weedle both nodded, showing they understood. They seemed calm and even a bit eager to help Misty get more comfortable.
Josh glanced over at Misty, who was still standing at the ten-step mark. Her face showed determination, mixed with a little fear, but she wasn't backing down. She was doing better than they had anticipated. They had initially thought she might need to be much farther away, but here she was, holding her ground just ten steps away from two bug-type Pokémon.
"See?" Josh said, looking between his Pokémon and Misty. "She's doing her best, just like you guys. It's all about taking things slow and being patient with each other. We're a team, and we'll figure this out together."
Misty gave a small nod of agreement, her body still tense but her resolve steady. It wasn't much, but it was progress. The morning was off to a promising start, and Josh knew that with time and understanding, they could help Misty get past her fear. The road to Pewter City might be long, but they would tackle it together—one step at a time.
"So what's the plan for today?" Misty asked as she took a few steps back, finding a more comfortable distance from the Weedle and Caterpie, who were now happily interacting with Josh's Ditto and the Tentacool inside its aquarium.
"Well, today I'm about to do a planned strategy for my Pokemon. I'm going to train both my Caterpie and Weedle until they become Buterfree and Beedrill." Josh looked up from where he was setting up some preparations for their training.
"Please, don't tell me..." Misty commented paled slightly at the thought.
"We're going to train for four to five days while we make our way to the next city. Once we get there, I'll drop you and Ash off, and then I'll come back here to continue the training until I get the results I want." The pokestreamer answered interrupting her with a grin, reassuring her that she would be away from her fears.
"Wait, you are going to return here?" Misty asked surprised, blinking in surprise, processing his plan. A sense of relief washed over her, knowing she wouldn't have to stay in the forest with all those bug Pokémon for longer than necessary."But why are you doing that until they evolve there?"
"The reason I want to keep training them until they evolve is that both Butterfree and Beedrill can learn some moves that will be crucial for future gym battles. If I evolve them and keep training them until they master those moves, I'll have a strong team with good type coverage for at least four to six gyms." Josh explained as Misty never thought about the possibilities.
"I never really thought about it like that. You're right—those evolutions could really give you an edge, especially against Grass and Psychic types." Misty mused as she listened, intrigued by his reasoning.
"Exactly. Butterfree's Flying and Psychic moves make it a solid counter to both Grass and Fighting types, and Beedrill's Bug and Poison moves are great against Psychic types. It's all about building a diverse and adaptable team." Josh nodded his head as he could understand why Misty could see his plan, knowing that while it would be a slow process and very tiring, it would be enough for the plans that he had for the future.
Misty nodded, appreciating the thought Josh was putting into his strategy. The clearing was quiet, with only the soft sounds of the Pokémon interacting. Then, a thought struck her, and she looked around, suddenly realizing something.
"Hey, have you seen Ash lately?" Misty asked as she realized that a person was missing and from her experience in 3 days, she could understand that Ash alone would mean a lot of trouble, but thankfully for her, Josh wasn't worried at all.
"Yes, he is 6 trees in that direction, training a new Caterpie that he captured," Josh answered the question which made Misty sweat.
"He also had one? Oh God, this is getting harder and harder." Misty commented as Josh rolled his eyes.
"That's what she said," Josh commented which made Misty look at him weirdly. Josh waved his hand completely ignoring her, "Never mind that. Internal joke. Anyway, you can either watch me or Ash training. We will depart in 3 hours."
"...okay," Misty commented as she gave a few steps away, and suddenly she realized the joke and then her face started blushing. "JOSH"
"What?" The poketuber commented innocently which made the water gym leader blush harder and walk away. "People who don't get the reference."
"CATERPIE" A sudden, panicked shout echoed through the forest, jolting Josh from his place. He immediately turned his head towards the direction of the shout, his heart racing.
"What the—?" Josh immediately ran in the direction of the said shout to his surprise. When he arrived, the scene before him was chaotic. Ash was on his knees, shouting in concern as his Caterpie lay battered and bruised on the forest floor. Misty stood ten steps away, her face pale with fear and uncertainty, unable to approach. Nearby, perched on a branch, a Pidgeotto glared down at the group, clearly annoyed and ready to strike again.
"Hang in there, Caterpie." Ash's voice was laced with desperation as he tried to comfort his injured Pokémon, but Pidgeotto's menacing presence kept him from getting too close. But looking at his other Pokemon he already gave the command. "Pikachu, Thundershock."
At the time Pikachu used the Thundershock, there was big electricity enough to make sure the bird immediately got knocked out. As it looked like the Pokemon was falling, Josh immediately ran in the direction of the bird pokemon which was falling, and using one of his Pokeballs, he launched in the air, which with a good arc, was powerful enough to hit the Pokemon.
"B, B , B, B, B, B, B, B, B..." Josh chanted as it showed a few shakes, good enough to actually stop the Pokeball and with that a successful capture. "Let's goooooooo..."
"HEY WHAT THE HECK?" Ash shouted as immediately Misty went over to him,
"You are the worst, it will take a long time for you to become a Pokemaster, like 1 million years..." Misty ranted as she commented on how the bad decisions, Ash had made when it came to choosing the Caterpie between the other 2 pokemon he had to go against a wild Pidgeotto... "You should have tried to learn a bit more about Pokemon before, which pokemon you should use as strategy, the Pidgeotto is a flying type, and Caterpie is an insect, and Birds eats insects, do you understand?"
"Well, if you give a good effort in the end everything is going to be fine, aren't they?" Ash gave the question, and at that moment when Josh was looking at his Pokeball, with the new Pokemon as his team... Josh suddenly had his eyes slowly opening as he realized one thing...
("Oh my God, I will choose Charmander, since he looks so awesome and I want to have a Charizard..." A boy commented as he was using his first Gameboy and coming to play Pokemon Red for the first time...
.
.
.
"Damn Brock is really strong, I'm using Ember and Scratch but nothing past him..."
.
.
.
"Critical hit and super effective? What is that? Oh sugar bucket, all my team lost again..." The same kid of young age commented as he looked at the once again returning from his save point. "Well, at least I leveled up... what is that... Growl and Screetch? Pff, what a lame moves, attack is always the best..."
.
.
.
"OH COME ON," The boy complained as he looked at the screen of his GameBoy, "My Hitmonlee had more strength than that Kadabra, why he is defeated again?"
.
.
.
"Wait, so Rock Type and Ground Type aren't the same thing?" The boy grew up the next year and was looking at a few tips on the magazine and looking at the anime to try to understand more about what was happening...
.
.
.
"Okay, Pokemon Stadium sucks when you don't know how to use all the moves into the limit, knowing your type, attack, defense, and even the stats effect... This is very complicated, but I think using my own team will help me a lot." The boy who grew up a bit more placed his Gameboy to his N64 and used it as a way to learn more about playing Pokemon.
.
.
.
"Okay, let me try this thing called Nuzlock, it couldn't be that hard, I mean, I already know the moves from my other Pokemon games, and even know about some types of advantages, so it wouldn't be that difficult." The boy commented as then on the years progressed.
.
.
.
"Hello everyone, my name is Josh, and I'm coming up with a new channel on Twitch, and I will be talking about Pokemon and even doing some gameplay and nuzlocks for you all to enjoy..." The boy grew up into what would be a more mature teen as he tried to make a living with a dream on his mind, and all the tries that he could must.
.
.
.
"What's up Pokemaniacs, Josh's here, and let's start another Pokemon nuzlock soulink with Jan from Pokemon Challenges the best nuzlocker in the world... Also, Alpharad is going to make an appearance to make fun of my losses probably, and if we get lucky to see Jaden and Moxxie2D making another fun comment while doing Pokemon animation of my failure, Hahahahaha... Let's get started. Wish me luck...
.
.
.
"Calm Mind plus 2, I know that's risky, but with Calm Mind it could oneshot everyone... Wish me luck guys...
.
.
.
"Dude, you are using fire type against my plus 2 Graveller with stab earthquake, you are so doomed... Hahahaha...")
From times it took years of experience, failure after failure but also learning the success and mistakes of the others, Josh remained quiet, as he looked at Misty ready to throw a fit to Ash for making a mistake.
"Misty, stop." Josh simply commented which interrupted them both while they turned their heads to stare at him... The boy who usually would sound so angry or annoyed for another mistake made by Ash, looked more peaceful, and patient. "Give Ash a break... it's his first week as a Pokemon trainer, while we can agree that he had a lot to learn... nobody can be a league champion in one day..."
Misty closed her mouth, while Ash looked a bit confused and annoyed but also surprised...
"How's Caterpie?" Josh asked as Ash blinked and then gave a look at his little Pokemon.
"He is a bit hurt but still conscious," Ash commented as the poketuber nodded his head.
"We can treat its injuries while I will give you the explanations of disadvantages and advantages types over the Pokemon okay?" Josh didn't take a no for an answer and firmly said that he was going to teach the boy the basics of what would be the essential rules of Pokemon universe that every kid would need at the time they started playing.
"Okay..." Ash commented as he looked down at his Caterpie, and was kinda happy to see Josh didn't being mad at him like Misty was...
And suddenly from nowhere, a female voice started to laugh, which caught the attention of the trio.
"So we meet again." Then a male voice commented immediately making Ash narrow his eyes.
"I know that voice," Ash commented as suddenly a light appeared in the middle of the forest, and then from nowhere, background music started to play which made Josh raise his eyebrows.
"To protect the world, from devastation." Jesse started their announcement. Presentation as the lights covered the entire place, which made Josh blink as indeed it was crazy to see them doing the same scene as in the anime, but how to improvise a presentation in the middle of the forest was something out of the ordinary.
"To unite all peoples within our nation." James immediately followed her as he was holding a rose in his hand. And then each one continued their speech. From Jessie and then James.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"No, not this again." Both Ash and Misty commented as Josh yawned as he was already with his hands ready on his belt.
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!" Jessie finished her speech while making a pose.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight." James followed her as suddenly a Meowth jumped between them to finish their presentation. In the background there was light and even a plastic letter R behind them, and in the end, a few smoke bombs to make a good effect.
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Okay guys, it's just me or they really placed a plastic R and smoke bombs just for the presentation… Also, did that Meowth just talk?" Josh decides to play the ignorant as immediately surprised by the duo of Equip Rocket and his friends who also understand the meaning of his words.
"I was also shocked by a Meowth talk, Josh, but these two are a problem." Misty decided to explain the situation as both of them still were in their dramatic pose. "They were the ones who trashed the Pokemon Center in Viridian City."
"Ohhhh, yeah, the clowns." Josh gave the comment which made both Jessie and James furious at the teenager who seemed to be so casual with that. "Nice speech guys, 5 of 10 but we are kinda busy at the moment."
"5 OF 10?" And that clearly made them look offended. "Know that this speech had been the best one for our whole criminal organization."
"Whatever you say, can you guys just try another day? We are busy..." Ash commented as then Jessie decided to interrupt Ash.
"Quiet, little boy. We're not here to listen to you. We're here to get your Pokémon." Jessie said angrily as she looked annoyed by the person who just ignored her. As Meowth jumped on their shoulders. As both pointed the Pikachu on the floor.
"Hand over that Pikachu," James commented as it made both the trainers stare at them in disbelief.
"Okay, I'm not sure if I'm aware of what's going on..." Josh commented as he stared at Ash who also looked in disbelief.
"Hey, this is my Pikachu. Go out and find your own." Ash commented angrily as both thieves pressed even further.
"The only Pikachu we want is that one," Jessie commented as she continued to point at the Pokemon James suddenly gave a comment that immediately made everyone confused.
"We're only looking for the rarest, most valuable Pokémon in the world, kid." James decided to open his mouth as Josh could see the veins throbbing from the feline Pokemon.
"And that special Pikachu's, just the kind of Pokémon we need," Jessie commented as immediately Meowth jumped in front of them, and using fury swipes, scratched the faces of both the red-haired and blue-haired criminals.
"You idiots, stop giving away all our secrets!" Meowth said angrily as Josh blinked at the trio…Ash also looked confused about what the trio had been so insistent about
"Is my Pikachu really that special?" Ash couldn't help but ask as he looked at his own Pokemon who also couldn't understand what was happening.
"Your Pikachu's powers, impress even me." Then Meowth decided to overshare the information as Josh, Ash, and Misty still were trying to get used to seeing a pokemon speaking the human language at them. "I really got a charge out of it's, incredible attack the last time we met. Its powers exceed its evolutionary level. Your Pokémon would—"
And then suddenly Meowth got stomped by both his teammates who were also very annoyed at him.
"Now you're the one, giving away all our secrets!" And then the trio started to fight each other until Josh decided to just act like himself.
"Okay, thanks for sharing your plans and secrets guys, but I think the Circus is in that way," Josh commented as he looked at Ash and Misty. "Are you sure that they aren't clowns?"
Ash and Misty shrugged, which made Jessie and James even more annoyed.
"WE ARE A VERY IMPORTANT CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION." The trio shouted as Josh didn't seem to be treating them as seriously. "Now hand over the Pikachu now."
"What about noooooo…" Josh commented as Misty giggled while Ash had to agree.
"Forget it, go back to the circus where you belong and leave us alone," Ash added salt to their injuries, and with that, Jessie and James looked very furious at the moment.
"Then you leave us no choice," James commented as both criminals launched their pokeballs in the direction of the trio.
"Let's start a Pokemon battle, Ekans," Jessie shouted as James also launched his own Pokemon.
"Koffing go get them," And on the moment the Pokeballs were launched, it showed two of the iconic pokemon and Josh could feel a sense of familiarity from both of them.
"HEY, 2 VS 1 IS NOT FAIR," Ash shouted until suddenly Josh launched a Pokeball which surprised the boy on his side.
"Go Tentacool," Josh called one of his Pokemon, which immediately made Ash look to his side and see the teenager on his side. "A double battle, it's been a while since I saw this."
"But the rules of pokemon league say that it's one pokemon per time." Ash tried to explain the rules Misty looked angrily and was about to say something but Josh looked more patient and helped the boy.
"Yes, it is… one for you, one for me, and one for each of them… Later I will explain better the rules of double battle, you still have a lot to learn Ash, so don't waste this opportunity to learn." Josh explained as he was ready for the pokemon battle, but Ash looked conflicted at the time… he didn't notice that James was ready to do the first move.
"Koffing Sludge now." James used a rose to point in the direction of Pikachu, which Koffing was about to launch a move.
"Tentacool Supersonic now." Josh quickly said, as the water pokemon who was faster than the floating pokemon, used its tentacles and touched on its head, and with that created a blue circle which immediately went in the direction of both Koffing and Ekans which suddenly their bodies became blue and their eyes started spinning.
"What just happened?" James commented as both he and Jessie looked even as her snake pokemon with its eyes spinning.
"Ah, confusion, one of the greatest allies when it comes to luck." Josh commented as he looked at his little Pokemon, and Ash who stared at him in confusion. "Supersonic is a move that would make all the opponent Pokemon confused, and with a high chance of them missing to attack us, but also attack themselves."
And like Josh had just said, Koffing used sludge in the face of Ekans which hissed in pain and anger, as the duo was confused they started to attack each other, even hitting themselves on the floor trying to get out from the confusion.
"EKANS, STOP IT."
"KOFFING GET OFF THE CONFUSION."
Both Jessie and James tried to shout commands, as Ash looked surprised at how a move was able to control two Pokemon at the same time.
"Supersonic as area attack is very busted." Josh never thought it would have been way harder to play Pokemon if double battles had supersonic as an area move, which two Pokemon would get confused at the same time. "Ash, did you know that water conducts electricity?"
"Really?" Ash asked as he looked at his Pikachu who also understood the meaning, which showed a good nod… Ready for what is about to happen.
"Tentacool, do you know water gun?" Josh asked his own Pokemon and the squid creature made a sound as even showed its head. "Alright, Water Gun, to all of them,"
"TENTACOOOOOLLLL BLUUUUUUUUU." And like a slight shot of water, it was enough to make not just Ekans and Koffing wet from the attack, but also the water gun managed to hit both Jessie, James, and Meowth.
"HEY, WHAT'S THE IDEA?" Jessie shouted angrily, as she then saw Pikachu showing a few sparkles on its cheeks. "Oh no."
"Ash, your turn," Josh commented as the boy nodded his head, as the trio of clowns slowly had their eyes wide open in fear.
"PIKACHU THUNDERSHOCK." Ash immediately pointed at the group of wet people and Pokemon, which the electric rodent had its cheeks sparking electricity menacingly…
"PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU." And with that strong shock, the trio who started to shout even begging to don't do it, couldn't help themselves, since the electricity combined with the water made by the aquatic pokemon, clearly doubled the effect of the attack, which in a few seconds the group suddenly were launched a bit far away of the forest.
"And that's how it does a double battle," Josh commented as the group saw the trio of Equipe Rocket and their team being launched into the forest, which made the group happy to finally be in peace again…

"Alright, again…" Josh commented as Ash was holding a notebook which Josh made sure to buy for himself in case he had a few new ideas and he didn't want to use the battery of his tablet, but now Ash needed it more than him, so it was a good way for him to start the training.
"Water types are strong against fire types because water can put out the fire. And Fire types are strong against steel because you had to heat up metal in order to mold it…" Ash commented as he pointed out a few weaknesses of the pokemon based on logical sense.
"Correct," Josh commented as he explained the two types that both Ash and Misty didn't realize existed, the steel and dark type.
"Psychic-type is weak against bug, dark, and ghost type pokemon because bug, dark, and ghosts are common phobias that people have…" Ash commented as Misty nodded her head as she was a primary example of her fear of bugs, she had been slowly getting more comfortable with the group of pokemon who were a few steps away from her, at a comfortable distance, and not just Ash, but the entire group of pokemon were there listening close for what Josh had taught the boy over the pokemon type weakness. "Fighting Type is strong against rock, steel, and ice because ice, rock, and steel are common things martial artists use to show off their strength…"
"Exactly…" Josh commented as he could see the Pokemon learning little by little the advantages that he decided to explain further. "Ghosts cannot defeat the Normal type because Ghosts can't touch us and vice and versa, and that's why they are weak against each other, because ghosts can touch ghosts, and the dark type because since they are creatures of dark have more understanding of the darkness than the ghosts themselves."
"Got it, Flying type is strong against grass, because birds eat seeds… I just don't get why they are strong against fighting types." Ash asked and Josh rolled his eyes.
"Ever tried to punch a bird before? It's really hard. And they always beak hard on you..." Josh explained as both Ash and Misty had their eyes wide open.
"WHAT THE HELL?" Both Ash and Misty shouted as the Pokemon nodded their heads, even Pidgey and Pidgeotto nodded their heads with a proud smirk on their faces…
Showing just a normal day in Pokemon Life…
A chaotic life.
