Note: I haven't seen any Yugi Mutou x Sakura Haruno stories, not that remember anyway. Anyway, in this one, Yugi and Sakura are twenty-two years old, Sasuke died two years ago in this story, not sure if I want Sasuke to die because of an illness or because he died in battle… I don't hate Sasuke or Anzu for that matter but for the whole story to work and why they go on the blind date or date I wanted some drama or something to happen or at least try XP
Summary: Yugi Mutou, age twenty-two; has given up on love, two years ago, his girlfriend of three years, Anzu Mazaki dumped him for another guy. And now he can't seem to get over her. Sakura Haruno-Uchiha, lost her husband in death two years ago when she was twenty. She hasn't been the same since then. Ino the cousin (twice removed) to Yugi is tired of Yugi moping and Sakura's depressed state, so what does she do? She sets them up on a blind date!

Prologue
The Plan
"Is that you, Ino?" Yugi Mutou, twenty-two years old, blinked wide violet eyes at his cousin as she walked through the door of the game shop. "Hi Cuz, what's happening." She said with a bright smile on her face.
"Ino! What a surprise!" Sugoroku Mutou said with a smile. "We haven't seen you in such a long time! Why the visit?" the elder man asked the blonde beauty. Yugi was wondering about that himself.
"Oh… I was just in the neighborhood, and I wanted to stop by and say hi…" Yugi narrowed his eyes at her, she was scheming something. "I also wanted to talk to Yugi about something - alone." The tricolored-haired male had a bad feeling about this… "Come one, Yugi!" she said with a grin as she took hold of his wrist and dragged him upstairs to his room. Sugoroku shook his head and smiled. He then continued to sweep the floor with his broom.

"Ino! What is this all about!" he demanded when she finally let go of his wrist. She put her hands on her hips and looked into his violet eyes with her blue ones. "I need you to go on a blind date with a friend of mine-"
"No thanks." He said flatly as he looked away from her. Why did she even think for a second that he would go on a date with anyone other than Anzu? "I can't love anyone other than-"
"Anzu Mazaki? Please~ I'm not asking you to, you idiot." He looked at her and his mouth opened and closed. What did she say? "She doesn't want to love another person either that wasn't her husband."
"Husband! She's married!? Why do you want me to go on a date with her for—"
"He died two years ago," she said sadly. His eyes widened at her words. He stood there in silence, not sure what to say. Ino's friend… whoever she was, lost her husband in death. "She is really depressed Yugi." Yugi looked back up at her and saw the sadness in Ino's eyes. "What I want you to do is just show her a good time, she hardly ever gets out anymore. You don't need to fall in love with her… treat her like a friend; you can do that much, can't you?" He swallowed hard. He didn't know what to think - a part of him wanted to help Ino's friend and part of him was afraid. What would happen if he met her, and liked what he saw? Or what if the date went great and he started having feelings for this girl? No, he knew that wouldn't happen… right?
So, he made his choice. "Alright…" he replied as he looked up at her. "I'll do it." Ino jumped at him and hugged her cousin. "Thank you, thank you! And kissed his cheek." He blushed out of embarrassment. "Yeah, whatever. Get off me, please."
"You won't regret this."
'I hope not…'

"You're crazy, Ino-pig!"
Sakura Haruno-Uchiha glared daggers at her soon-to-be ex-best friend. The twenty-two-year-old woman crossed her arms over her chest. "Oh, come on! It's just a blind date, forehead! Nothing wrong with just one date between friends—"
"I don't know him, nor do I care." Ouch… "Hey! Don't say that about my dear cousin… that will hurt his feelings." Sakura blinked her emerald-green eyes. "Your cousin? You want me to go on a date with Yugi? That short boy!?" Sakura asked with a surprised gasp and Ino just grinned. "The very same! Although he is taller now…" Ino said as she paused and then she smiled. And then Sakura scowled at her friend. "Forget it! I'm not going to date anyone, my heart… only belongs to Sasuke." Sakura said the last part softly.
"Yugi doesn't want to find love either."
"Huh!?" Sakura looked at Ino puzzled. "Then what is the purpose of this date?"
"To get you out of the house! Yugi is going to show you a good time-" Sakura narrowed her eyes at her. "What is his version of a good time?" asked Sakura as she tapped her fingers against the table that they were sitting at. "Having a good time between friends, Sakura! He maybe an adult now, but he is still innocent," she said as she shrugged her shoulders. "I'm more worried about you doing something to him than him doing something to you," she said with a smile/grin. "Ino!" Sakura said with a blush.
"Tell me one thing… why doesn't he want to find love?" Sakura questioned her friend.
"Remember that girl, Anzu Mazaki?"
Sakura frowned, trying to think who that was. "I think so… but I'm not too sure, I've only met Yugi once, and his friends…"
Ino nodded. "Anzu is Yugi's childhood friend and his longtime crush and the girl that he loves." Sakura nodded. "Well at seventeen, they started dating. By their third year of dating when Yugi was twenty, he was going to ask Anzu to marry him, but as it turned out on their anniversary, she dumped him for some other guy named Seto Kaiba or something like that… when I found out I was beyond pissed off – but, after all that, Yugi is still in love with her… that was two years ago." Ino put her hands together. "He has agreed to this date."
Sakura looked up surprised. "What?"
"He wants to help you, get you out of the house - like I said before, maybe show you around Domino City, have a nice dinner between friends. Not trying to make you fall in love with him and he is not going to fall for you."
"But I hardly know him, Ino…" she said with a frown on her face.
"Like I said, He already agreed to this date, it would be rude not to show up, wouldn't it?"
"I- yes it would be rude. As long as it is one date, that's it!" Sakura said in a serious tone of voice. Ino nodded. "Just one date." She agreed.
