Author's Note

This is my sixth fanfiction of Harry Potter. What if our favorite potions professor, Severus Snape, was an astronaut? This is the first part, where his adventure begins.

I know what you're going to ask me about what was I doing in space and how the adventure came to me.

Well it all started off on an afternoon at Hogwarts, where I was in my office.

12:45 pm

For some reason, I received a letter from a mysterious person. The envelope is colored in navy blue.

I questioned myself, "I wonder where the letter came from, and who sent it to me?" Before I could open it, someone was knocking on my door, and I said, "Come in."

The door opened, and it was my wife, Esmerelda Blackcat. She is a half-blood with blue eyes and short brown hair, who is a librarian at Hogwarts. We first met during her niece, Eileen Salem's first year (1985), and then we got married on August 3, 1989.

She asks me, "Severus, are you feeling okay?" I told her that I was going to open the letter that was sent by a mysterious person. She said, "Ok," and then I asked her, "Do you mind if I read the letter?" She nodded and said, "I don't mind."

I opened the letter and took out the paper (which was written) to read it;

Dear Severus Snape

We're here to inform you that you have been chosen on a solo space mission to stop the Asteroid from heading towards earth. It's your choice, Severus.

My mind was confused by what the letter said to me, and I said to myself, "I don't know if I can handle this space situation." Despite that I wasn't interested in going into space.

Esmerelda assured me and said, "Don't worry, Severus. You can handle anything. I mean, you are a good professor." I smiled at her and thanked her for the support that she gave to me. Her kindness and confidence make me feel better.

We both headed out, where we saw a spaceship outside of Hogwarts. My mind was like a hippogriff, who got its tail on fire. Esmerelda said, "Wow. It looks so real." We went inside of the spaceship, where the both of us are greeted by Lazurus. It turns out that Lazurus was an ai (artificial intelligence) matrix, who appeared in a form of a girl with moonlight skin and white eyes, wearing of a school uniform shirt with a short skirt, and boots.

"Hello, Severus. Welcome aboard the Slytherin 60." I ask her, "What is the Slytherin 60?" She answered my question, "The Slytherin 60 is the name of the ship."

Me and Esmerelda looked at each other before Lazurus could continue. I stroked her hair before I could respond to her. "Esmerelda, I'll be back soon. I promise." She smiled and kissed me. "I promise."

(Evening) 5:00 pm

Later on, I came out from the corridors, in my spacesuit that Lazurus made for me to wear, when I'm going to space. Before I went to the Slytherin 60, Esmerelda kissed me and gave me a picture of her to stay in touch.

She said to me, "I love you, Severus," and then I said, "I love you too, Esmerelda. You're the only girl who makes me feel confident."

As I boarded the Slytherin 60, I sit in the seat and buckle the seatbelt. I put the picture of Esmerelda on the side of the control panel. While the countdown continued, I put my visor down, and checked each of the systems, before I said to myself, "Well, here goes nothing." This was the start of my new adventure.
