Trials of the Dawn pt.1

ON THE

ROOF OF THE GYM OF BEACON ACADEMY

The sun peeked over the horizon, casting golden rays across the roof of Beacon Academy's gym. Gold Canine stirred, his golden hair shimmering in the light. Beside him, Onyx groaned, rubbing his eyes with a mix of irritation and fatigue.

"Wake up, Gold," Onyx muttered, stretching. "We're going to be late."

Gold yawned, unconcerned. "Relax, Onyx. Our costumes aren't that different from what we're wearing. Plus I can dress up in less than a second. "

With a swift leap, Onyx jumped off the roof, landing gracefully on the ground below. Gold followed suit, landing with a soft thud. Together, they walked through the hallway, their footsteps echoing off the walls.

"Professor Ozpin," Gold began, breaking the silence. "He has a weird energy signature. Have you noticed?"

Onyx, quiet as ever, nodded. "Yeah, I agree. Yeah... It's like he is hiding something but I can't put my finger on it." as they entered the bathroom.

As they reached a bathroom, the duo stopped to brush their teeth. Onyx meticulously arranged his hair in front of the mirror.

"Why are you doing that?" Gold asked, curious.

"In Atlas, I had to hide my wolf ears if I wasn't wearing a hoodie," Onyx replied, his tone matter-of-fact.

Gold raised an eyebrow. "Have you found someone with a semblance that could help you edit your appearance?"

Onyx shook his head. "No."

Gold grinned. "Well, I think your wolf ears are cute."

Onyx groaned angrily, muttering under his breath.

Continuing their walk, they passed Ren and Nora. Nora was her usual bubbly self, pestering Ren, who seemed accustomed to her antics. Gold nudged Onyx.

"What do you think of Weiss Schnee?" he asked casually.

Onyx's expression darkened. "If I ever see that delinquent again, it will be too soon."

As if on cue, they bumped into Weiss from behind. Onyx muttered to Gold, "Too soon, WAIT. You only raised the topic because her energy was getting closer."

Gold nodded. "Yes, let's get out of here."

They quickened their pace, but Weiss called after them, her voice sharp and filled with disdain. "Hey, you two! You think you can just walk away?"

Onyx turned, his fists clenched. "What do you want, Schnee?"

Weiss sneered. "Faunus scum like you don't deserve to be here. This academy is for real huntsmen and huntresses, not animals."

Gold stepped in front of Onyx, placing a calming hand on his shoulder. "Stand down," he whispered.

Weiss continued her tirade, her words laced with venom. "You should be grateful you're even allowed to set foot in this place. You're a disgrace."

Gold let her finish, his expression calm. "Are you done?"

Weiss, momentarily taken aback by his composure, fell silent. Gold and Onyx turned and walked away, ignoring the murmurs and glances from other students.

As they moved deeper into the hallway, they overheard whispers about the "Invincible Girl." Gold's attention was drawn to Pyrrha, who was with Jaune, Yang, and Darren.

"I've always wondered if people really had indestructibility as a semblance," Gold mused aloud.

He approached Pyrrha, reaching out to touch her forehead with his index finger which started glowing. She caught his hand mid-air.

"Invincibility is not my semblance," Pyrrha began, only to be interrupted by Gold.

"Is it intangibility? Extreme good luck? Time control?.. My semblance? " Gold speculated.

Pyrrha sighed, exasperated but patient. "My semblance is none of those. They just call me Invincible Girl because—"

Darren cut in, grinning. "I got it this time. You're a popular musician… no, a dancer… You're a—"

Onyx finished the sentence for him. "She's the winner of the Mistral tournament. But that's no reason to call someone invincible… right?" He muttered under his breath, "They haven't seen what true power looks like."

A brief silence followed, broken by Pyrrha's heartfelt speech. "People like me for what I've achieved, not for who I am. I want real friends here at Beacon, people who see me for me, not for my titles or victories."

Onyx snorted. "That is so cheesy."

Everyone around turned to look at him, their expressions ranging from shock to disapproval. Pyrrha's eyes narrowed, a mix of hurt and anger flashing across her face.

"You don't understand," she said quietly, her voice steady despite the emotion behind it. "You haven't lived with the burden of everyone's expectations. The pressure to be perfect."

Gold stepped forward, his gaze meeting Pyrrha's. "Maybe not, but we all have our burdens. Some are just more visible than others."

The tension in the air was palpable, the hallway growing quieter as more students noticed the confrontation. Onyx, sensing the growing unease, sighed.

"Look, we're all here to become better, to prove ourselves," he said, his tone softer. "Let's not tear each other down."

Weiss, who had been watching from a distance, scoffed. "Typical faunus, always playing the victim."

Gold's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his composure. "We're not victims, Weiss. We're survivors. Just like everyone else here."

Pyrrha nodded slowly, her expression softening. "He's right. We're all here to support each other, to grow together."

The crowd around them seemed to relax, the tension dissipating as the moment passed. Gold and Onyx exchanged a look, a silent understanding passing between them. They had made their point, and perhaps, just perhaps, they had taken a step toward bridging the divide.

As they turned to leave, Darren called after them, his voice light-hearted. "Hey, don't go causing any more trouble, okay?"

Gold grinned. "No promises."

The duo walked away, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead at Beacon Academy.

At a cliff outside Beacon leading to the Emerald Forest

The sun was high in the sky, casting its golden light on the assembled students of Beacon Academy. They stood in a line, poised and ready for their initiation into the Emerald Forest. Professor Ozpin, standing before them, began explaining the rules and objectives.

"You will be launched into the Emerald Forest," Ozpin announced. "Your objective is to retrieve a relic from the abandoned temple and bring it back. You will find your teammates along the way. Choose wisely, for your partnership will determine your future here at Beacon."

Jaune Arc looked uneasy, his discomfort evident as he glanced nervously at the other students. Onyx and Gold, however, seemed unfazed. When the launch mechanism activated, Jaune's scream echoed through the air. In contrast, Onyx and Gold flew through the air for a few seconds before gracefully landing in the forest.

Darren pressed a button on his watch, summoning a purple plate that attached to his chest. In mid-air, he transformed into his high-tech armor,

A purple sleek suit of armor with a reactor on the chest which had lightning dust inside landing with a powerful thud. He turned to see Lisa Crimson land nearby, her red hair flowing behind her as she wore a black and red overbus corset and a crimson coat over it with red boots.

"Nice suit," Lisa complimented with a smile.

Darren removed his helmet as they began walking. "You know, I could just fly to the temple," he remarked.

"So... why didn't you?" Lisa asked, curious.

"First, I need to find a teammate," Darren explained. "Second, I saw a lot of Nevermores up there. If I start fighting, I could be stuck for hours. My armor might run out of energy, and although I have a backup suit, I don't want to risk it. By then, will I have a teammate? Will there be any relics left at the temple?"

Lisa was surprised. "I didn't think you were this smart," she admitted.

"I'll probably make an AI for my suit to help with battle strategies and decisions," Darren said. He equipped his helmet and visor. "Until then, I fight the old-fashioned way."

They both entered fighting stances, ready for whatever lay ahead.

Elsewhere in the forest, Gold and Onyx landed on a patch of grass, surrounded by Grimm. Beowolves snarled, their red eyes glowing with malevolence. A few Creeps slithered around, their sharp claws glinting in the sunlight.

"Looks like we got a warm welcome," Gold said, his tone casual.

They entered fighting stances, reminiscent of martial artists. Onyx extended his arm, and after a few seconds, a sword flew into his hand. The Grimm lunged, but Onyx and Gold moved with practiced ease, their movements fluid and precise

as their auras started glowing brightly as Gold first charged at an Ursa before blowing its mask and moving in a golden blur to stab a beowolf as he equipped StormClaw's daggers and stabbed a deathstalker's stinger before throwing it into the air and blowing it with a precise energy ball as the inscriptions on Onyx' weapon ShadowBlade started glowing as Onyx swiped with a red strike causing an explosion as Gold ran into the explosion with his aura and the sword glowing purple as Onyx stabbed a beowolf before slicing an alpha beowolf in half as Onyx threw his weapon before punching a beowolf with all his impacts causing shockwaves as he caught the arm of a massive Ursa before ripping out the claw, kicking the grimm down, and using the claw to stab its bone mask before stretching out his hand grabbing the sword and in one movement, slicing another Ursa in half. So a battle which merely lasted a few seconds was now over.

Meanwhile, Darren and Lisa made their way through the dense forest, the sounds of distant battles echoing around them. Lisa glanced at Darren, curious about his suit. "So, what's it like in there?" she asked trying to avoid Darren from asking about her background.

"It's like wearing a second skin," Darren replied. "But a really heavy, high-tech second skin. It enhances my strength, speed, and agility. The visor helps with targeting and gives me a HUD with all sorts of useful information."

Lisa nodded, pretending to use telekinesis to move branches out of their way. "I think I'll stick to my semblance," she said, feigning nonchalance. In truth, she was hiding her true magical abilities.

As they continued, they encountered a pair of Ursa. Darren activated his suit's fire dust weaponry, launching incendiary projectiles that exploded on impact, engulfing the Ursa in flames. Lisa focused, using her "telekinesis" to throw rocks at the Grimm, though in reality, she was subtly casting telekinetic magic to control the rocks.

In another part of the forest, Gold and Onyx had finished their fight with the Grimm, leaving a pile of defeated creatures behind. They continued their search for teammates and relics, their senses alert for any sign of danger.

Gold then saw a few grimms approaching as the daggers on his gauntlet were activated as Onyx muttered "This is getting annoying" as he shot towards the grimm leaving a shockwave behind him as he sliced multiple grimm in a single second as Gold ran and punched an Ursa into the ground before giving a swift kick to a beowolf and blasting a King Taijitsu with a golden energy beam before mounting an Ursa major and using a using his two daggers to behead it easily.

During the fight, Onyx spotted Weiss standing still with her eyes closed, seemingly trying to concentrate. He sliced through a Beowolf with his sword, glancing at her with disbelief. "You've got to be kidding me. Who closes their eyes in the middle of a fight?" he muttered under his breath.

Gold, meanwhile, used StormClaw to slice through more Grimm with the retractable blade, his movements precise and lethal. He noticed Weiss's unusual stance as well but focused on clearing a path. "Onyx, cover her! She's doing something important!" he called out.

Weiss finally opened her eyes, just in time to see Onyx fending off a Beowolf that was about to pounce on her. "What do you think you're doing?" she snapped, clearly annoyed by his presence.

Onyx shrugged, not breaking his stride. "Saving your life, apparently," he replied dryly, dispatching the Grimm with a swift slash with a purple light emanating from ShadowBlade.

Weiss's face contorted with anger. "Great. Just great. My new teammate is a faunus," she muttered curses loudly, her voice dripping with disdain.

Onyx rolled his eyes. "Gold's my teammate. I bet you'll love yours, Ice queen," he pointed out, sensing Ruby hurtling towards them. "Speaking of which, incoming."

Ruby smashed into Weiss, sending them both sprawling. "Sorry, Weiss! Didn't see you there!" Ruby apologized, scrambling to her feet.

Weiss glared at Ruby. "Of course, it had to be you. This day just keeps getting better."

Ruby looked at Gold, who was calmly sitting on an Ursa, firing a beam of Ki through its head before twisting its neck to finish it off. "Gold, why are you just sitting there?" Ruby asked, bewildered.

Gold grinned. "No trouble at all," he replied nonchalantly, as if riding an Ursa was a regular occurrence.

Weiss was about to berate Gold for his lax attitude when a giant Nevermore swooped down, grabbing her and Ruby. "Help!" Ruby screamed as they were lifted into the air.

Gold watched them go, then turned to Onyx. "Should we help them?" he asked.

Onyx shook his head, his eyes scanning for more threats. "They'll be fine. They need to learn to handle themselves. Besides, we've got our own problems," he replied, pointing to the new wave of Grimm closing in on them as their aura glowed again. Gold's StormClaw ignited with energy, and he swung it in a wide arc, releasing a barrage of 30cm daggers that sliced through the Grimm with precision. The Beowolves disintegrated into black smoke as they were hit, their bodies evaporating into nothingness. Onyx moved with fluid grace, his ShadowBlade cutting through the air with deadly accuracy. He slashed through the Beowolves, each strike clean and efficient. The brothers moved in perfect sync, their years of training together evident in their seamless coordination. A massive Ursa charged at them, its claws outstretched and teeth bared. Gold leapt into the air, using an energy beam to propel himself higher. He gathered energy in his gauntlet and unleashed a powerful energy blast that struck the Ursa in the chest, sending it crashing to the ground. Onyx dashed forward, his sword glowing with a dark, ominous light. He thrust ShadowBlade into the Ursa's side, the blade piercing through its tough hide and into its heart. The Ursa roared in pain before dissolving into smoke. As more Grimm poured into the clearing, Gold and Onyx didn't falter. Gold's movements were a blur as he dodged and weaved between the creatures, his gauntlet firing off energy blasts and daggers with deadly precision. He spun and kicked a beowolf in its mask, killing it. Gold continued fighting, using his agility to keep the Grimm at bay. Onyx, on the other hand, was a whirlwind of darkness. His swordplay was a deadly dance, each strike swift and lethal. He moved silently, his eyes locked onto his targets, anticipating their every move. When a pack of Creeps tried to flank him, he spun around, ShadowBlade cutting through them in a flash. Gold glanced at his brother, a grin on his face. "You know, this is almost too easy."

After a few more minutes of intense fighting, Gold noticed Ruby and Weiss on the Nevermore, heading towards the temple. "Think they'll be okay?" he asked Onyx, panting slightly.

Onyx nodded. "They're skilled. They need field experience to become huntresses. We'll meet them at the temple," he reassured Gold, pausing for a moment to catch his breath. "You know, this place reminds me of the old sparring grounds. Want to have a go?"

Gold's eyes lit up with excitement. "Like old times? Let's do it!" he agreed, his grin widening.

Elsewhere, Lisa and Darren were finishing off the last of the Grimm near the temple. Darren, ever enthusiastic about his inventions, started explaining his armor's capabilities. "This suit enhances my strength and speed, but I'm working on a new energy source. Dust fusion could revolutionize how we fight," he said excitedly.

Lisa, already on edge, snapped. "Enough with the tech talk, Darren! We need to focus," she shouted, her eyes briefly glowing red with anger.

Darren raised his hands defensively. "Alright, alright. No need to get scary," he said, a hint of fear in his voice.

As they approached the temple, they saw Yang and Blake examining the chess pieces. Darren muttered angrily. "Of course, they're already here. Typical," he grumbled.

Lisa suggested taking the black version of the piece Yang and Blake chose to confirm all four of them as teammates. "It makes sense. We need to be strategic," she argued.

Darren shook his head, a mischievous grin on his face. "Let's leave it to fate," he said, picking a random piece—the White King. He smiled at Lisa's disappointed face who argued that certainty was better.

Their banter was interrupted by Jaune crashing down from the sky, colliding with Blake. "Blake... watch out!" Darren called out belatedly.

Yang sighed, helping Jaune to his feet. "You really need to work on your timing, Darren," she said, her tone half-joking, half-serious.

Blake adjusted her bow tie, glaring at Jaune. "Could you try not to crash into people next time?" she suggested, her voice laced with exasperation.

The group fell into a brief silence, each member reflecting on their journey so far. Despite the tension and the occasional argument, they knew they were stronger together.

Elsewhere Gold and Onyx started having their sparring match with their aura glowing gold and dark purple respectively as they dashed at each other as Gold used his gauntlet to block ShadowBlade as he kicked Onyx back before Onyx lashed back by throwing his sword at Gold fazing him slightly giving Onyx the chance to punch Gold with a large shockwave before recalling ShadowBlade and slashing Gold who fired a gold energy ball into Onyx' chest which exploded on impact pushing Onyx back as Gold and Onyx fired energy balls at themselves causing smoke to gather up but the smoke was quickly cleared off when the twins fists clashed causing a shockwave as Onyx attempted to recall his sword but Gold anticipated the move and swatted away the sword before punching Onyx hard causing him to fly back as Gold dashed quickly and smacked Onyx into the ground causing massive shockwaves blowing some grimm away as Onyx recovered and swiped with ShadowBlade forming a dark purple energy arc which Gold dodged the hit some grimm causing a massive explosion then Gold unleashed StormClaw's daggers as the twins' weapons collided as Gold and Onyx matched each other punch for punch each slowly increased their energy output as they both fired energy beams at each other with their beams collided forming shockwaves as they both dashed at each other full speed as Onyx again recalled ShadowBlade with Gold swatted the weapon away this time buying Onyx enough time to punch Gold with a lot of power with a parlous sound being heard as Gold flew through the trees into the temple.

The abandoned temple, an ancient structure half-buried by vines and overgrown foliage, was filled with a sense of foreboding as the sun began to set. The temple's worn stones and shadowy corners seemed to come alive with the movement of grimm. The once sacred place had become a battleground where the new generation of hunters and huntresses tested their mettle.

Nora Valkyrie burst into the scene with an impressive entrance, riding atop a massive Ursa. Her wild, carefree laughter echoed through the temple as she swung her giant hammer, Magnhild, with great force. The Ursa roared and thrashed, but Nora's powerful blows landed true. With a final, thunderous swing, she drove the hammer into the Ursa's head, silencing its roar with a sickening crunch. Nora jumped off the defeated grimm, landing gracefully on the temple's stone floor.

"Whoo! That was exhilarating!" Nora exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "Anyone else feel like taking a ride?"

Meanwhile, Pyrrha Nikos sprinted through the temple's entrance, her face etched with determination. She was being pursued by a massive Deathstalker, its pincers clacking menacingly. Pyrrha's shield, Milo, shimmered as she blocked the creature's attacks, dodging and weaving with expert precision.

"Come on, Pyrrha! You can't let this thing slow you down!" she shouted to herself, her voice full of resolve.

She rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the Deathstalker's stinger, and with a quick swing of her spear, she managed to pierce through its tough exoskeleton. The Deathstalker let out a final, guttural screech before collapsing, leaving Pyrrha panting heavily but victorious.

Above the chaos, Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee were still clinging to the giant Nevermore. Ruby, ever the optimist, looked at Weiss with a wide grin.

"You ready for this? It's time for a little leap of faith!" Ruby shouted, her voice filled with infectious enthusiasm.

Weiss hesitated, her eyes wide with apprehension. "I-I don't know, Ruby. This is insane!"

Ruby's encouragement was unwavering. "Come on, Weiss! We don't have time to hesitate. It's now or never!"

As the Nevermore swooped low, Ruby took the plunge, jumping off with a bold flourish. Weiss, still unsure, looked over the edge and saw Ruby's fearless descent. Summoning her courage, she followed suit, leaping from the bird's back. She landed shackily causing her to stumble and fall into Jaune Arc.

"My Hero" Weiss said sarcastically, brushing herself off.

Jaune, trying to regain his balance, looked at Weiss in surprise. "Uh, thanks for that."

Yang Xiao Long was in the midst of a heated battle, her fiery semblance raging as she fought off multiple grimm. Her golden hair, charged with anger, seemed to crackle with energy. The chaos of the fight had her overwhelmed, and she shouted in frustration, "Everything is happening so fast! We don't even get a break!"

Lisa Crimson and Blake Belladonna rushed to her side, trying to calm her down amidst the chaos. Blake's calm demeanor contrasted with Yang's fury, her bow at the ready as she shot down approaching grimm. Lisa, with her fiery aura and intense focus, placed a reassuring hand on Yang's shoulder.

"Yang, breathe. We've got this," Lisa said firmly. "You're stronger than this."

Yang's eyes flared with a mix of anger and sadness. "I just... I don't know where Gold and Onyx are. What if they're in trouble?"

Just as Yang's words hung in the air, Gold Canine and Onyx Canine made their dramatic entrance. Gold, with his golden hair and StormClaw gauntlet, landed with a powerful impact on a stone pedestal, causing the structure to tremble. He shrugged off the impact with a flicker of his aura and a confident grin.

Onyx, landing smoothly beside him, watched his brother with a smirk. "Nice landing, Gold. Still hitting things with the same reckless abandon, I see. Though, you've definitely gotten more precise."

Gold gave a half-hearted shrug, his grin widening. "Old habits die hard. Besides, a little extra force never hurt."

Weiss, having observed the entire display, glared at Gold with skepticism. "Who do you think you are? Acting like you own the place?"

Gold raised an eyebrow, wiping his brow. "Just a guy who's here to help. But thanks for the warm welcome."

The Nevermore, still hovering above the temple, roared and dived towards the group. Gold, his demeanor shifting to focused determination, sprinted towards the giant bird. He dodged its talons with fluid grace, his movements a blur as he jumped and struck with precise strikes.

"You're going down!" Gold yelled as he unleashed the daggers from StormClaw, piercing through the Nevermore's back. He then maneuvered underneath the beast and drove the dagger into its heart, causing the Nevermore to let out an agonized cry before crashing down.

Gold landed lightly, his aura seemed perfectly alright from the jump showing no signs of fatigue. The group watched in awe as the giant creature fell with a resounding thud. Weiss, her rapier pointed at Gold, stepped forward with an accusatory tone.

"Who are you?" Weiss demanded, her eyes narrowed. "What are your semblances? You're far stronger than you let on."

Gold, slightly taken aback, shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm just a guy doing what needs to be done. My semblance is a bit of a family secret."

Onyx stepped in, trying to diffuse the situation. "Weiss, there's no need to be so confrontational. We're all here to find relics and prove ourselves."

Weiss was not convinced. "And what about you? You come in, make a big show, and expect us to just follow your lead? What exactly are you hiding?"

Gold's patience began to wear thin. "Look, we're all here to prove ourselves. If you want to know what our semblances are, how about earning that trust instead of demanding answers?"

Darren, ever the diplomat, tried to calm the tension. "Everyone, let's take a step back. We're all in this together, and fighting amongst ourselves isn't going to help us get the relics."

Weiss, still frustrated, shot Darren a questioning look. "And what about you? What's your role in all of this?"

Darren adjusted his high-tech armor, trying to maintain a calm demeanor. "I'm here to support, just like everyone else. We've all got our strengths and weaknesses. Let's focus on working together."

Lisa, crossing her arms, added with a touch of irritation, "I agree with Darren. We're not here to bicker. We need to focus on the task at hand."

Weiss's frustration seemed to ease slightly, though she still looked skeptical. "Fine. But I still want answers. You can't just walk in and act like you're above everyone else."

Gold turned around as Onyx lightly tapped his back. Gold met his brother's gaze with a knowing look, their recent battles still fresh in their minds.

Onyx broke the silence first. "We both came to Beacon to find each other. Now that we've found each other, we shouldn't be here. Not like this."

Gold nodded thoughtfully. "I agree. But there's more to it. Ozpin is hiding something. Something that might challenge us. I think there's something extra, something strong enough to really test us."

Onyx raised an eyebrow. "You think so? You're not wrong, but what do you have in mind?"

Gold glanced over his shoulder at the others, noticing the tension between Weiss and Darren. "For now, we should focus on what's happening here. It seems like we have bigger issues to deal with."

He turned to see Weiss still pointing her rapier at him, her expression a mix of suspicion and frustration. Darren was trying to calm her down, his hands raised in a placating gesture.

Gold approached Weiss with a calm demeanor, his voice steady. "Weiss, we understand your concerns. But right now, the important thing is that we have common goals. Instead of questioning and distrusting each other, we should focus on working together."

Weiss's eyes narrowed. "Working together? And why should I trust you two? You're clearly hiding something."

Yang, visibly annoyed, stepped in. "Oh, come on, Weiss. Can't you see that they're just as much a part of this as we are? Let the boys be."

Weiss shot Yang a sharp look. "I don't care. They haven't proven anything to me. They're still hiding something, and I don't trust them because they don't trust me enough to reveal what they really are."

Onyx's patience wore thin. He stepped forward, his voice dripping with venom. "And what do you think we are, Weiss? Out with it."

Weiss's expression hardened. "I think you two are White Fang members, spying on us. You've got this whole mysterious vibe. I don't trust you."

The accusation hung in the air, causing a ripple of tension among the group. Gold's face grew stern as he stepped between Onyx and Weiss, his voice low but firm. "That's a serious accusation, Weiss. We're not here to spy on anyone. We're here to prove ourselves, just like everyone else."

Yang crossed her arms, her frustration evident. "Weiss, seriously? Can't you give them a break? They've been nothing but helpful."

Blake, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "I think we should all take a step back. There's clearly a lot of tension here, and jumping to conclusions won't help anyone."

Onyx's hand moved to his side, and ShadowBlade was summoned with a dramatic flourish. The blade glinted ominously, the red glow pulsing with his anger. He pointed it towards Weiss, though he didn't make a move.

"Careful, Weiss," Onyx said coldly. "You're treading on dangerous ground. Accusations like that can lead to more than just words."

Weiss's eyes widened, and she took a cautious step back, her rapier still at the ready. "Are you threatening me?"

Gold stepped in again, his voice carrying a tone of finality. "Enough. This isn't the time for infighting. We're all here for a reason. We need to focus on the bigger picture and not let mistrust tear us apart."

Darren, still trying to mediate, took a deep breath. "Weiss, I know you're angry, but accusing people without evidence only makes things worse. Gold and Onyx are part of this team now, whether you like it or not. Let's figure out how to move forward."

Lisa, who had been watching the exchange with a mix of curiosity and annoyance, finally interjected. "I agree with Darren. We've got bigger problems than arguing among ourselves. We need to figure out what's going on and how to deal with it."

The group fell into a tense silence, each member grappling with their own thoughts and emotions. Onyx sheathed ShadowBlade with a flourish, the blade retracting back into his hand. His expression was still one of barely contained frustration, but he seemed to be cooling down.

Gold glanced around at the group. "Weiss, if you really think we're spies, then you're welcome to keep an eye on us. But for now, let's focus on the task at hand. We have a lot more to deal with than just mistrust."

Weiss stared at Gold for a moment before lowering her rapier slightly. "Fine. But don't think I'm going to just forget this."

Yang placed a reassuring hand on Weiss's shoulder. "We'll get through this. We just need to keep our heads cool."

Blake nodded in agreement. "Let's regroup and figure out our next move. We're all in this together, even if it doesn't feel that way right now."

As the group started to disperse and prepare for their next steps, the air was still thick with tension. The confrontation had highlighted deep-seated mistrust and unresolved issues, but it had also underscored the importance of coming together in the face of common challenges.

Gold and Onyx exchanged a look, their resolve strengthening. They knew they had to navigate not only the trials ahead but also the complicated dynamics within their group. With the situation momentarily defused, they prepared to move forward, ready to face whatever lay ahead with both their new allies and their lingering doubts.

Yeah... that's it for the first part of Trials of the Dawn expect next episode sooner this episode ended with a tense atmosphere and I couldn't get all characters present to play a direct part in the scene so the ones who do will have a major part in the argument (Even though it is still everyone v Weiss) so the next episode will see the teams announced (Even though we all know the teams). Yeah the next episode will be cool.
