Techno-Teacher
It was yet another day in Station Square. Sonic was watching the view from the roof from the Thorndyke Mansion. He leaps off the roof and lands on the ground. The blue hedgehog then speed off into the horizon. He then runs back and heads to the door. Amy opens it
"Hey, where'd you go?" she asked
"Just out" Sonic answered as he heads inside
'He's so mysterious' Amy thought with a sigh
Inside the mansion, Chris was eating his food while Mr. Tanaka answered the phone
"Thorndyke Residence. Very good, sir." Mr. Tanaka said before turning to Chris "Your father has requested that I inform you that he and your mother will be stopping by for a visit this afternoon."
"Wow, Ella, they're coming to see me!" Chris said to his maid
"What a nice surprise!" Ella said
"It's not even my birthday!" Chris yelled before he realized something "Err.. uh oh..."
"Is there something wrong?" Mr. Tanaka asked curiously
"No, I'm all done! Can I go now?" Chris asked as he got up from his chair
"Yes, go ahead!" Ella replied
"See ya later!" Chris said as he took his leave
Ella turns to Mr. Tanaka
"Something is up!" she said
Up in Chuck's room, Chuck, Sonic, Amy, Tails, Gear, and Tika were eating breakfast. Sprocket was the only one that didn't eat as he is a robot. Chris was looking at them with a backpack on
"I've gotta go to school so I'm counting on you guys to stay out of sight when my parents show up." Chris told them
"Gotcha, no problem!" Tails said
"Yeah sure, you can count on us!" Amy added
"Indeed, Christopher. We will make sure we keep out of sight" Sprocket added
"Have fun at school, Chris" Tika said
"It won't be for long. Mom and Dad's visits have to be short because they both have busy schedules." Chris informed
Sonic gets up and walks off
"Hey, Sonic! Is he mad at me?" Chris asked
"Don't mind him" Amy said
"Yeah. Sonic just can't stay still in one place" Gear added
"Get going, Chris! You'll be late for school if you don't hurry up!" Chuck said
After looking at the clock, Chris lets out a startled yelp and begins to head downstairs, but ends up falling down. Everyone cringes at this
"I'm okay!" Chris called out
"That has got to hurt" Sprocket said
"I couldn't agree more, buddy" Gear added
"Chris sure is happy about his folks visiting, huh Chuck?" Tails asked
"He is" Chuck answered
"What did they do?" Amy asked
"Chris' dad is the president of a huge software company. He spends most of his time in the office or traveling on business." Chuck informed
"And what about his mom?" Amy asked
"She's a star. A famous actress who jets all around the world making movies." answered Chuck
"Wow. Who knew Chris has such busy parents" Gear said
"I'll say" Tika added
" I bet it's pretty tough for Chris for not having his parents around most of the time" said Tails
"Yes" Chuck said
"He must miss them." Amy said
"Well. Time to go fix up my hover scooter" Gear said as he got up "Come on Sprocket"
"Yes" Sprocket answered
The duo begin to head to the hatch. Tails then stood up
"Hang on you guys. You're going to need some help" the two tailed fox said
"Really, Tails?" asked Gear
"You're not the only mechanic around here you know" Tails said with a smirk
"It is sometimes good to ask for assistance. Right Gear?" asked Sprocket
"I suppose that's true, Sprocket" Gear replied "Okay Tails. You can help"
The two foxes and robots then went downstairs
"Be careful you three! Don't let anyone see you!" called Tika
Meanwhile in the fortress of Dr. Eggman, the evil scientist was sitting in his chair trying to think of a way to take over the world.
"Grr, I've got to think of something... err..AH! I've got to think of a way to conquer this planet" he growled as he spins in his chair "Perhaps the children, maybe one of my robots could brainwash the school kiddies so that they'd love me and honor me and look up to me as a hero and they could persuade their parents to accept me as their ruler!"
"Here are your choices" Decoe said as he passes a deck of cards to Eggman
The evil doctor takes the deck
"Hmm, let's see" he said as he looks at each of the cards "This is a tough one. I'll let the machine decide!"
Eggman placed the deck into the slot and pulls the lever
The computer screen then shows the lottery spinning until it stops on a robot that is dressed up like a graduate. It's name is E-51 Intelligente
"Perfect!" Dr. Eggman said with an evil laugh
The hanger in Dr. Eggman's fortress opens up and the graduate robot flies out and right into Station Square. It then lands right in front of Chris' school. Inside Chris' classroom, the students were working on their schoolwork
"What do you think this is?"
"I don't know..."
"That doesn't make any sense!" Chris complained
It turns out that the Chris and his classmates has to figure out some math problems which is a little complicated for them
"I don't know where to start" a red haired girl named Frances said
"I'm totally lost!" a kid whined
Chris then noticed Mr. Stewart sleeping
"Should we wake him up?" Chris asked
"No, don't!" Danny warned
"Maybe he'll put us to sleep!" Frances said
Just then, the door burst open and E-51 Intelligente comes in
"My, my! What an intelligent-looking class!" the robot said
The students were surprised as they saw it
"Oh, perhaps I've arrived during nap time!" Intelligente said as it noticed Mr. Stewart
The teacher had just woken up before noticing the robot
"Uh, I'm sorry, what are you?" he asked
"Hmm, I'll give you 3 guesses, young man!" the robot said
"You're a robot?" Mr. Stewart guessed
"A robot teacher!" Intelligente corrected "Hmm, goodbye! I'm taking over!"
"You are?" Mr. Stewart asked
"I am!" the robot answered
"How's that?" Mr. Stewart asked
And with that, the robot grabbed Mr. Stewart and toss him out the classroom.
"They're replacing me with a robot, huh? Wait 'til I give the principal a piece of my mind!" Mr. Stewart growled
In the garage of the Thorndyke mansion, Gear and Sprocket were getting to work on fixing the hover scooter with some assistance from Tails.
"Thanks again for allowing me to help you guys" Tails said
"Don't mention it, Tails" Gear replied
"We really do appreciate this" Sprocket added
"No problem" Tails said "No let's get to work"
The two foxes and the robot then proceed to work together on fixing the hover scooter
Meanwhile back in Chris' school, Mr. Stewart storms over to the principal's office. He then opens the door to confront the principal
"HOW DARE YOU- oh!" he yelled before noticing the principal has coffee on his head.
After clearing things up, Mr. Stewart and the principal were walking to the classroom
"I'm glad to know that you never hired that robot. My students will be relieved too!" Mr. Stewart said
Laughter was heard from the classroom. Mr. Stewart looks to see Intelligente was teaching the class. The students were actually enjoying it
"And that's how to crack an equation! Mathematics is a breeze when you keep your eye on the pi!" the robot teacher said
"Now it's starting to make sense!" Chris said
"It's easy!" Frances added
"Mmmm, alright!" Danny said
All of the classmates seem to agree that the robot teacher's method of teaching is not that complicated. The principal smiled as he saw this
"That robot is a great teacher! Sit in on his class and study his technique!" he told Mr. Stewart before walking away
"But sir.." Mr. Stewart whined
He then looked through the window with a hateful glare at the robot as the students cheer
"Thank you, class! It's an honor to teach you!" Intelligente said
"There's something fishy here! I better check this out with headquarters!" Mr. Stewart said
And with a grin, the teacher goes over to the men's room. After looking around to see if anyone saw him, Mr. Stewart went inside and into one of the then takes out his watch and placing an earpiece in his ear.
"Come in, this is 'Chalkboard Charlie' calling homeroom with a cold, red priority alert." he said through his watch
Mr. Stewart then explain the situation
"Let me get this straight, you want us to send in our land, sea and air forces because a robot kicked you out of your classroom?" the man on the other end asked
" Roger, I'll transmit my coordinates." Mr. Stewart replied
But a few minutes later, the earpiece short circuits causing Mr.s Stewart to yell in pain.
"Seems like we're having technical difficulties! I'll have to go to the police!" he said
Back in the Thorndyke garage, Tails and Gear had just put the finished fixing the hover scooter
"Phew. It took a lot of hard work, but we finally did it" Gear said
"Yep. We were able fix up part of the engine. Even the component that makes it hover." Tails pointed out
"That is correct" Sprocket said "I believe now might be a good time to test it"
"You read my mind, buddy" Gear said as he got on the hover scooter "Fingers crossed if it doesn't work"
The yellow fox then guns the throttle and in an instant, the hover scooter then begins to hover in the air
"Ha ha! Success!" Gear yelled
"It sure is, Gear" Sprocket said
"And it's all thanks to our teamwork" Tails added
Gear then stops the hover scooter as it goes back down
"Indeed" he said "Hi-Five!"
Gear then gives Tails and Sprocket a hi-five
Back at Chris' school, Mr. Stewart had just called the police. He was leading a police officer all the way to his classroom
"Just remember, the robot's dangerous!" he said as the officer came up
Mr. Stewart opens the door only to find it empty
"That mechanical menace kidnapped the kids!" he yelled
But that wasn't the case as E-51 Intelligente and the students were outside in the yard. They were playing baseball as part of a P.E. class
"I've always wanted to play baseball. Shall we?" it asked
The students all cheered as they agree
"Well, what are we waiting for? Play ball!" the robot declared
Mr. Stewart then lead the police officer out in the yard
"Right there! You knock it down and I'll attempt to disable its power supply! There's no time to lose!" he said
They see the students were getting ready to play baseball. Intelligente was teaching Chris how to play
"Remember to keep your wrist relaxed all through the pitch, like so! You see?" it asked
"It doesn't seem like these kids are in danger to me, in fact, it looks like they're having a great time! I wish I was out there playing!" the officer said as he ate a burger
"Stop pigging out and arrest him!" Mr. Stewart yelled before snatching the officer's burger
"Oy! I'm nailing you for burger burglary!" the officer yelled as he takes out a club
Mr. Stewart makes a run for it while the officer chases him
"Drop that sandwich, scumbo!" the officer yelled
Meanwhile in the Fortress of Dr. Eggman, the doctor was waiting for his robot's progress
" I wonder if Intelligente has successfully brainwashed those brats into admiring me yet! I better look and see if it's going!" he said
He pressed a button and his screen showed his Intelligente playing ball with the kids
" Errgh, what's this?!" Eggman yelled
"I'm ready!" Intelligente said as he was holding a bat
"Put it over the plate!" Danny said as he was the catcher
Chris nods as he is the pitcher
"You can do it! Throw him a curve ball!" Frances called
Chris throws the ball and Intelligente hits the ball so hard that it went up into the sky. The students were shocked by this
"Mr. Intelligente is amazing!" Frances said in amazement
"My first home run! How thrilling! Baseball is such an exhilarating activity!" the robot teacher said as he rolled around the base
Dr. Eggman and his two robot minions watched this.
"Intelligente sure is a hit with his students. They love him." Decoe commented
"He's supposed to make those kids love me, not himself!" Dr. Eggman growled
A white helicopter was flying through the air while two green helicopters were flying between it. It then flew towards the Thorndyke mansion and lands on the roof. Two guards and helps out two adults out of the helicopter. They are an adult men and woman in their 30s and 40s. They are Lindsey and Nelson Thorndyke, Chris' parents. Ella and Mr. Tanaka were waiting for them.
"Welcome home." they greeted with a bow
"Thank you." the parents replied
"Lindsey, Nelson." Chuck greeted as he opened the door to the roof
"Good to see you, dad." Nelson said as he greeted his father
"Hello, father. How is everything going here at home?" Lindsey asked
"Wonderfully well, now that the two of you are here." Chuck replied
He then leads them inside
"When does Chris get back home from school?" Nelson asked
Unknown to them, Tails, Amy, Tika, Gear, and Sprocket were watching this from the roof of Chuck's garage
"Chris' dad seems like a nice guy." Tails said
"His mom is really pretty!" Amy added before looking at Sonic "Don't you think so, Sonic?"
Sonic was resting on the roof and kept his eyes closed.
"Oh" Amy said sadly
"I have to admit. Chris is lucky to have parents like them" Gear said
"Indeed. Both of them seem to be famous according to the jobs they take" Sprocket added
"Makes me wonder what it would be like if I was like them" Tika said
Meanwhile back in Chris's school, the students were still playing baseball. Danny was at the bat
"Yay! Go, Danny! Knock it out!"
Danny hits the baseball with the bat
"Wow, nice shot!" Chris yelled
"That is gone!" Frances said
The ball flew into the air and is about to land into the trees, but Intelligente flew up and catches it with it's glove
"That's the greatest catch ever!" Chris said in awe
Danny was running around the base until he stops to see this
"Woah, he's cool!" Frances said
The robot teacher then lands on the ground
"Oh well, well, well! Seems that the retro thruster aren't as rusty as I thought!" Intelligente said with a chuckle "Reminds me of the early days on the cricket field from when I was no bigger than a laptop! "
Just then, Bokkun flies in
"Message for you." he said
"Huh? Bokkun!" Intelligente said as he was startled by his appearance
"Dr. Eggman has a message for you." Bokkun informed
"Hmm, a message?" Intelligente asked
" How would you like to visit the junkyard!" Bokkun yelled
"Do you mean he's sniffed at me?" Intelligente asked in shock
"Sure the doc said he's angry at you that those kids are supposed to get stuck on him not you, bucket brain!" Bokkun said
"That used to be my mission! That's all changed" Intelligente pointed out
"Huh, how come?" the messenger bot asked
"I was sent here to make these students admire Dr. Eggman but I found it more rewarding to be admired myself!" Intelligente explained
"What?! You blown a circuit or something?! Don't you know Dr. Eggman will turn you into scrap metal, you barrel of bolts!" shouted Bokkun
The students walked up feeling very confused about this
" Mr. Intelligente, what's going on?" Frances asked
" Dr. Eggman may do with me as he wishes but I refuse to abandon the students in my charge!" Intelligente declared
"You're the greatest teacher I've known! I wish all teachers were as great as you are!" Frances said
"Me too" Chris added
"Same here!" Danny added
"Oh... thank you... that's wonderful!" the robot said while making some crying noises
Bokkun was fed up by this
"Stop crying and teach those kids to admire Dr. Eggman! Now I'm crying!" Bokkun said as he drops down
Dr. Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe watched this with dismay
"He lost it" Decoe said
"That crybaby! They should like me!" Dr. Eggman growled
The bell from the school then goes off meaning it was time for the students to leave for home
" I'll see you all tomorrow, class!" Intelligente said
The kids put their baseball gear into the box and said their goodbyes
"I've gotta hurry home now, guys!" Chris said
"Yeah, how come?" Frances asked
"Because my mum and dad are coming home for a visit! See ya!" Chris said
Before he can leave, Chris heard something from behind. He turns in shock to see Dr. Eggman coming in on his Egg Mobile. He lands on the ground
"Intelligente!" he yelled
This caused said robot to flinch as it saw it's creator
"Oh my hard drive, it's you!" Intelligente said
"I bet you think you're smart for disobeying my orders, you transistorized traitor, but I'll fix you!" Dr. Eggman said as he puts on a belt with different tools on it
"No, please don't disassemble me!" Intelligente pleaded in panic before grabbing Chris "Chris, help me get away!"
"Huh, but what about what you said that a few minutes ago when you swore you'd never abandon us no matter what Dr. Eggman threatened to do to you?" Chris asked as he remind the robot of what it said
" I really said 'no matter what'?" the smart robot asked confused
"You did!" Francis spoke up
"We all heard it!" Danny added
"I suppose there's no way around it! What was I thinking?" Intelligented asked
Dr. Eggman then starts to laugh
"What's so funny?" Chris demanded
"You really don't believe that snivelling circuit box plans to keep his promise! I'm ordering him to keep you in detention where you will be forced to respect me!" Dr. Eggman said
The kids were surprised
"No way!" Chris said in disbelief
"What a snake!" Danny growled
"Listen robot, unless you want to end up in a scrap heap, you will follow my orders!" Dr. Eggman threatened
"Yes sir!" Intelligente obeyed
"I'm not staying! I've gotta go home!" Chris protested
He attempts to leave, but Intelligente grabs him by the back of his shirt
"Not so fast! You'll stay in detention with the rest 'til Dr. Eggman dismisses you!" Intelligente told him
Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic was watching the sky while Amy, Tails, Gear, Sprocket, and Tika were watching Chris' parents and Chuck sitting on couches. They were a little worried that Chris did not come back from school.
"I wonder what's keeping Chris. He knows that you two are here to see him." Chuck wondered
"What if there's been an accident?" Lindsey asked
"I'm sure my security people would find out and contact me." Nelson said to his wife
"You're right. He's probably playing with his friends and simply hasn't noticed the time." Lindsey said
In the kitchen,
"I wonder what's keeping Chris. Dinner's almost ready!" Ella said
"Perhaps I should go and look for him." Mr. Tanaka suggested
"You know that the Thorndykes don't want Chris babied or treated different from the other kids! I'm sure he's fine!" Ella assured him
Back in the living room, Nelson stands up
"I'm going to look for the boy!" he declared
"Nelson, have some faith in your son." Lindsey said
"Huh, right. He's a level-headed boy and I'm sure there's a good reason why he's late. WE HAVE TO STAY CALM!" Nelson screamed
'He hasn't changed since he was a boy.' Chuck thought in amusement
Back outside, the Mobians and robot were getting worried themselves
"I'm getting worried now, too!" Amy said
"Me too" Tika added "It's not like Chris to be this late"
"I concur" Sprocket said "I am having the strangest feeling that Dr. Eggman had something to do with this"
"If what you said is true, then Chris might be in trouble" Gear said "Come on Sprocket. We got to get to that school! We'll take my hover scooter"
The duo dashes off to the garage
"Be careful guys!" called Tika
Gear and Sprocket made their way to the garage. Gear pulled the scooter outside and he and his robot companion gets on.
"Hang on, Chris. We're coming" Gear said as he started the engine
The hover scooter then hovers in the air and race off into the city
The fox and robot were riding their hover scooter through the city.
"This city is so big. Hey Sprocket. Do you know where Chris' school is?" Gear asked
"Hmm. According to my internal coordinates, the school that Chris goes to is about a few miles to the right" Sprocket informed
"Okay" Gear said as he make a right
Just then, Sonic ran up alongside them
"Hey Gear! Hey Sprocket!" the blue hedgehog greeted
"What's up, Sonic?" Gear greeted back "You looking for Chris too?"
"You bet. I had a feeling that something is wrong so I speed off to search for Chris" Sonic answered
"In that case, we shall search together. I happen to know where the school is" Sprocket said
"Well let's get to it" Sonic replied
Back at Chris' school, the students were forced to sketch a picture of Dr. Eggman
"For today's art class, we will sketch the illustrious figure of the great Dr. Eggman! As you draw, take special notes of the doctor's noble visage and dignified bearing!" Intelligente informed the students
"Does this pose inspire you? Or how about something more dynamic!" Dr. Eggman asked as he did different poses
"Uggh, it doesn't matter how that man stands, he'll always look terrible!" Chris muttered in disgust
Just then Sonic zoomed past them while sending the sketch books flying. Danny looked around in confusion
"Hey, what was that?" Frances asked
"What?" Intelligente asked as it looks to see Sonic running up a pole
"Perhaps a pose as a champion!" Dr. Eggman said as he continue to pose
"You mean a chump! You're so busy showing off you haven't noticed that we're under attack!" Intelligente scolded his creator
Just then, the Mega Wrench was spinning through the air and hits Dr. Eggman in the head and bounces off
"Ow!" Dr. Eggman yelled "Who threw that!?"
"I did!"
Everyone turn to see Gear and Sprocket. The yellow fox then catches his wrench as it flies back to him while Sprocket is attached to his back
"School's out, Eggman!" Gear yelled
"Let the kids go!" Sprocket added
The students gasped as they saw them
"Hey is that?" Danny asked
"It's Gear and Sprocket!" Chris said
"That's fox and robot you were talking about?" Frances asked
"They sure do" Chris replied
Sonic then appeared on top of the pole
"I'd always knew you were a poser, Eggman!" Sonic taunted
" Intelligente!" Dr. Eggman yelled
"Yes sir!" Intelligente replied
"Get rid of Sonic along with the fox and defect too!" the evil doctor ordered
"Who's Sonic?" Danny and Frances asked
"Yes, sir, whatever you say!" Intelligente said
The robot opens it's head and several missiles come flying out.
"Incoming missiles!" Sprocket yelled
Gear leaps out of the way while Sonic leaps off the pole and dodges the missiles
"Sonic. Go after that robot. I'll deal with the missiles" Gear said
"You got it!" Sonic said before speeding off
Gear takes out his blaster and begins to shoot at the missiles heading in both his and the blue hedgehog's direction. He then dodges some missiles that got a little close to him. Sonic speeds up and charges right into Intelligente, destroying him in the process. Sonic, Gear, and Sprocket then walks through the smoke
"Wow" Danny said
"They're tough" Frances added
"Here you two. Your prize" Dr. Eggman said
"What prize?" Sonic asked
"A little reward for your victory" Dr. Eggman answered
The doctor takes out a badge with his face on it
"I don't want a booby prize!" Sonic protested
"Me neither. Get it away from me!" Gear added
"Fine" Dr. Eggman said before offering the button to the children "You take it!"
"No thanks, keep it!" Chris refused
"Yuck, who'd want that?" Francess asked in disgust
"Nasty!" Danny said with disgust
"Alright, I'll wear it myself!" Dr. Eggman said as he placed the badge on his chest "Bye"
He then gets in his Egg Mobile and flies off
"He's a weirdo!" Frances said
"Yeah" Danny added
"He could keep me after school for a million years and I still wouldn't admire him!" Chris commented
"Indeed" Sprocket said as he got off Gear's back "Well children. I believe you've all been here long enough"
"Yeah. You're all free to leave and be with your parents" Gear added
"You'd better hurry home, Chris. Your parents are waiting." Sonic said
"Yeah, that's right!" Chris realized before heading off
Sonic runs after him
"Come on Sprocket. Let's go home" Gear said
Sprocket nods his head as they took off
"They're so cool!" Danny said
"Sure is!" Frances added
The sun was setting as Chris ran through the city. Mr. Stewart watched him as he round a corner
"You know, maybe there's more to being a school teacher than just passing out homework and taking naps in class." he said as he took a bite on the burger he had swiped from the the police officer
Said police officer appeared behind him
"Enjoying my burger, bub?!" he asked with his club in his hand
Looking behind him, Mr. Stewart immediately rushes off with the police officer in hot pursuit
"Hey, get back here! Stop chewing you thief! One more and I'll call out the SWAT team!" the officer yelled
Chris then made his way back home. He open the front door and heads inside.
"Hey mom and dad, I'm home!" he said
His parents all came in
"It's Chris!" they said
They then embrace their son in a hug
"Son!" Nelson said
" I was so worried!" Lindsey said
"I told your mother you could look after yourself but she wouldn't listen!" Nelson said
"Sorry, I've got held up at school!" Chris apologized
It was later nightime, as Chris and his family were having dinner
"Of course, there was absolutely nothing to be worried about! You know, when I was your age, I was kept after school a few times myself." Nelson said with a chuckle
"Oh, I'm sure Chris is better-behaved than you, o-dear!" Lindsey said to her husband
"That's for sure! Actually Chris, your father was more worried about your absence than he lets off! Wasn't he, Tanaka?" Chuck asked
"Well, Mr. Thorndyke was concerned enough to phone the President" Mr. Thorndyke replied
"Huh?" Chris said confused
"And Mrs. Thorndyke called all the DD Networks to get it on the bulletin on the nineteen news!" Ella informed
"Ugh, I didn't call all of them!" Lindsey protested
Amy, Tails, Gear, Sprocket, and Tika were observing this from outside
"They sure are one big happy family" Tika said
"The Throndyke seem like a real nice family, don't they Amy?" Tails asked
"I'm glad Chris made it back home on-time!" Amy said
"Uh huh, it always feels good to be back at home!" Tails said
"True. And as the saying goes: All's well that ends well" Gear said
"Indeed, Gear" Sprocket added
Up on the roof, Sonic was watching the stars
