"Lilly take Harry and run, He's here".

Amelia bones running into bedroom she shares with Sirius Black, the panic in her voice evident.

"Something's wrong at Godricks Hollow, I think Lily and James are in danger".

Instantly springing from his seat by the large Bay window overlooking the garden the wizard known as Sirius Black bolts for the door

"I have to go they may need me I can't leave them on their own to face whoever it is".

Sensing what he's planning to do Amelia Bones blocked his path

"No Sirius we have to go, besides two wands are always better than one".

With A twist and a crack they both disappear from the bedroom.

A moment later two figures snap into existence on small Street in a small town on the outskirts of Cornwall, The destruction before them a stark contrast to the beauty and peacefulness of the streets around them. Rushing up the path through the opening that once held a door, Coming to a sudden stop at the site of the lifeless eyes of the man he once called brother James Potter.

He was snapped out of his instant and sudden grief by the sound of movement on the floor above, running for the stairs he was again stopped this time by the oversized form of one Rubius Hagrid. The obvious bundle in his arms being that of a child.

"Is that Harry give him to me where's Lily?"

The thick tears falling down the half giants face telling more than words needed Lily was gone.

"Professor Dumbledore said I had to fetch Harry to him"

Amelia seeing what was about to happen stopped him in his tracks.

"No Hagrid. Harry will be staying with us Sirius is his godfather, I performed the ritual myself".

Taking the small bundle from the gamekeeper she turned to Sirius and was startled by the look in his eye. The blank expression slowly turned to one of anger.

"Fucking Peter that dirty little barstard, He's betrayed them it's the only way he was the secret keeper".

Realisation dawned on Amelia's face as to what Sirius was saying their friend Peter Petticrew the fourth member of their motley crew had lead death eaters to the door of James and Lily Potter.

"I'll Kill him, I will tear his heart out and stuff it down his throat and watch him choke on it".

The pain of betrayal and loss evident in his face Amelia had very little time to calm him before he made a mistake that could cost him everything. Sensing the anger building within him she knelt before Sirius placing her hands either side of his face and forced him to look her in the eye.

"Listen to me Sirius Orion Black, Before you do something very stupid think Harry needs you, I need you, Susan needs you. We're going to have two children to raise. My niece and your godson will need a good family, we have to be there for them."

Pulling her close to him kissing her deeply trying to convey without words that she was right and he was back with her thinking straight.

They both stood walked out of the cottage neither needing to see the damage behind them, anything they needed from the house could be fetched tomorrow. tonight the family grew by one and they needed To return home and share the grief for the family members that both lost very recently.
