Well, looks like I have a new addition to the Ranger mythos. Thanks to discussions with D.J. Scales, we were able to come up with new ideas for Ranger lores within the stories I am doing. In this case, a keeper of time and employee of the Morphin' Masters protecting the daughter/offshoot of Octomus the Master. Oh, not convinced, eh? Well, let's see how the story unfolds from these ideas. (grabs my Mystic Morpher and flicks it open, casting a spell)

Disclaimers: I don't own Power Rangers, as it is a product of Hasbro as of May 1st, 2018. I also don't own any other media, as all rights go to their respective owners.

(Alex's POV)

I'm definitely gonna admit it: Being a Power Ranger is one thing that I sorta expected considering who my so called "big sister" is, but boy howdy, I was not expecting my life to make a cattywampus turn for the magical!

Back on topic; Y'all know of my good friend Hadley's story about her becoming a Ranger? Well, my point is I ended up following in her shoes on accident! Or maybe on purpose thanks to my adoptive time-watching sister? I don't know, you be the judge of that one.

Let's start this shindig off slow; my first day in Briarwood wasn't exactly as... normal as it could be. I mean it felt normal to me coming from how my morning started out. Moving into a new house after bouncing around from place to place because I was a "troubled girl" really didn't help my self-esteem. Sure, I dressed up in a lot of black, but I wasn't so much of a goth as everyone around me thought.

Tana was pulling into the driveway of our place and she smiled as she turned the engine off and got out. "Alright, this is the end of the line."

I snorted slightly in annoyance. "Yer telling me." Getting out myself, I grabbed my stuff from the trunk and carried it inside, easily carrying it under one arm. But once I stepped inside, I saw that Tan had already gotten everything set up... somehow. Huffing slightly, I shook my head slightly. "Sweet nibblets, Tana. How do you do that so fast?"

She looked at me and chuckled, giving me a wry grin. "I guess I'm just a little faster than you are, Alex."

I stuck my tongue out at her and headed upstairs to my new room, setting everything up and grabbing my guitar from its case before I started to strum some chords, singing a few chords of a song I'd been writing:

"~ It's easy to feel like you're all alone, to feel like nobody knows

The great that you are, the good that's inside you is trying so hard to break through

Maybe it's your time to lift off and fly, you won't know if you never try

I will be there with you all of the way, you'll be fine

Don't let anyone tell you that you're not strong enough

Don't give up

There's nothing wrong with just being yourself

That's more than enough

So come on and raise your voice

Speak your mind and make some noise

And sing "Hey, hey, make some noise"

Hey, hey, yeah~"

I stopped after those last words, sighing softly and brushing my hair back slightly. "Man, this is so hard to try and get the right words for this song." I chewed on my pencil slightly before I started trying to write down some lyrics, singing under my breath.

Tana walked over, hearing my voice and smiling. "Wow, that's starting to sound good, sis."

I smiled a bit and chuckled slightly. "Yeah, well... ain't always easy getting the right words."

Tana sat down next to me and nodded. "Nothing ever is easy. You've just gotta keep trying."

I nodded slightly before putting my guitar away and picking the case up. "I'm gonna get some fresh air and explore the city. Maybe that'll help cure my writer's block."

She nodded and kissed my forehead, patting my back and watching me head out of the door.

As I made my way down the street from our apartment complex, I glanced around at the buildings curiously as I made my way down the street before stopping by one store and looking at the sign. "'Rock Porium?' Well, any budding singer and songwriter must have a horse sense to go in here and get some ideas." I smiled to myself and walked inside, looking around and seeing four kids about my age talking amongst themselves. Deciding not to question anything, I decided to look at the CDs they had on the shelves curiously.

The Aussie sounding kid told his friends where he wanted them before he walked over to me and smiled. "Hey there, miss. You certainly look like you could use some help."

I glanced at him and chuckled slightly. "I think I'll be alright for now, but thanks for the offer, sugar." I patted his shoulder slightly and walked past, my case bumping him a bit.

The girl with the white hair streak noticed my guitar and smiled. "Nice, you play?"

I smiled at her. "All the time. I'm working on a couple of songs right now. Mostly some country pop, easy listening, that kind of thing."

"Awesome!" The redhead chimed in before he seemed to catch himself. "Sorry, we don't really get new people around here." He walked over and extended his hand. "I'm Chip, and that's Xander, Vida, and Maddie." He motioned to each of his colleagues in turn with his free hand as I shook his extended hand.

"Nice to meet y'all. My name's Alex." I introduced myself.

"It's awesome to meet you too, Alex," Vida walked over and shook my hand, Maddie following up before I turned to Xander as he took my hand and kissed my knuckles, making me chuckle slightly as I spoke, "Okay, settle down there, partner. One step at a time."

But I should have probably watched my words because at that moment, we all felt a rumbling as Xander shouted, "Earthquake!"

"Whoa Nelly!" I quickly took cover underneath the nearest shelf, remembering all of the earthquakes from Mariner Bay caused by demons and covering my head from danger with my guitar case. "This is definitely bringing back some bad memories!"

(No POV)

At the same time, Tana held on to the doorway she had sheltered herself in and looked around the room, a foreboding feeling hitting her hard. "This is not gonna end well..."

(Alex's POV)

Thankfully, the rumbling only lasted a few seconds before I peeked out from under the shelf. "Whew. That sure was lickety split."

"Is everyone okay?" Maddie asked, coming out from behind the counter with Chip.

I nodded to her. "Yeah, we're all hunkey dorey." I stood up, dusting myself off and looking at the mess. "Oh, sweet nibblets. Whole place went even more cattywampus."

"And I thought that wouldn't be possible," Vida mentioned in agreement.

Xander walked over to us. "Well, the good news is the worst is over."

I nodded a bit, my innate spidey sense tingling and warning me of danger to come. "For now, at the very least."

(Tana's POV)

As I was getting everything reset, I suddenly saw a vision of what was happening within the Magical Realm, seeing a purple knight coming from the unsealed castle of the Underworld and speaking, "After all these years, I'm free."

I suddenly snapped back to reality and shivered slightly. "Okay, yeah. Definitely need to alert Udonna." I quickly grabbed my timekeeper cloak from my bag and headed out the door, summoning my staff to my hand before I ran through a tree like a portal.

I made my way to Rootcore and got inside quickly. "Udonna!"

The redheaded woman turned to me with a concerned expression. "I know. The Xenotome has opened and we don't have much time." She turned to the book in question and saw a symbol appear as she spoke, "There is a crack in the gate. The Darkness has returned."

I nodded a bit, feeling the familiar energy surrounding me before I shifted into my younger child form, one I hadn't used in a long time. "Does that mean we need new Rangers?"

She turned to me and nodded. "And I think we both know exactly whom to call upon."

I nodded in understanding, realizing Alex would kill me for this later.

(Alex's POV)

After the earthquake, I was outside with the gang (thanks to their boss Toby giving them the rest of the day off), working on my song, singing under my breath while listening to Maddie speaking into her camera: "After narrowly escaping death, the human species copes with it in very different ways. Some use physical activity."

I glanced up at Xander and snickered slightly as he smiled for the camera before Maddie turned the camera on me and Vida as she continued, "Some listen to music or create it."

I smiled and flashed a peace sign for Maddie before she turned to Chip while saying, "And some eat. Tell me, Chip Thorn: What are you eating?"

"Shrimp, chicken, pepperoni, cheese, and chocolate marshmallows," Chip smiled before eating a whole slice of pizza.

Maddie made a disgusted face before looking into her camera lens. "Ew. A fine example of the non-human species."

I shrugged slightly and looked at Vida. "I've had worse. You ever tried banana slices on regular pizza? Ain't bad, but it works better for a dessert pizza."

Vida chuckled slightly before we and the others heard an old man shouting, "Somebody help me!" We quickly ran over to the man, with me going into first responder mode. (What can I say? Mariner Bay gave me quite a few lessons.)

"Sir, calm down, tell us what's wrong," I spoke to him calmly, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"It's my brother!" He told me. "We were walking, just up the road and some creature grabbed him! I fear the worst!"

I nodded a bit. "Okay, where exactly were you when this happened?"

"I-it's just out of town. The creature took him into the woods." He explained.

At that sentence, I noticed several people leaving him, my friends included, which made me shake my head. "Y'all are a bunch of lily-livered yeller dogs to not help this man! His brother is in danger and none of yous are gonna give him any support?!"

"Nobody goes in those woods, Alex," Maddie told me. "They're supposed to be - "

"Haunted, yeah. I know, I've heard tell of them tall tales." I cut her off in annoyance. "I've faced worse threats than y'all could imagine! Ain't no haunted forest gonna scare me away!!"

"So you'll help me, dear?" The man asked me hopefully.

I turned to him and smiled kindly. "Sho 'nuff, old man. I'll join you and we'll find your brother lickety split."

"I'll help too," another unfamiliar voice caught our attention as we looked around to see another young man about my age standing upright from fixing his motorcycle and saying, "I could use a break."

I smiled at the young man. "The more, the merrier, partner." I shook his hand politely, but a strange sensation of equal forces pushing against each other. 'What in the Sam Hill was that?' I couldn't help but think to myself, but I shook that sensation off for the time being, noticing he had a similar look of confusion.

"Thank you, both of you," the old man spoke to us, getting us refocused.

Xander stepped forward to talk to the new guy. "Hey, I'm Xander. You're new around here, aren't you? Probably not aware of the facts. Here's one: You go into those woods, you don't come out."

Rolling my eyes, I muttered quietly, "Wuss." I looked at the newbie. "I reckon you're about as brave as I am to be going in the woods."

He nodded a bit. "Heard about the stories, but the guy needs help. No one else in the city seems to care but you."

I smiled at his kind words before looking at the group. "Y'all don't wanna go, your loss." I started walking off with the men before we heard Vida speak up, "I'll go with you!"

We turned to face her as she spoke, "Not everyone in this city's a coward."

I smiled at her before seeing Chip step forward and speak as well, "I'll go too! I've always wanted to go on a dangerous quest!"

I chuckled slightly at his enthusiasm. "Well, you two are in for a good treat. Not gonna be surprised if there's a demon or two roaming around the woods." I looked at the strangers and shrugged. "Seen my fair share of them from living in Mariner Bay."

The younger man nodded a bit. "I've heard about the attacks. Must've been scary for you."

"You have no idea," I laughed slightly, grinning slightly before we all started following the older man to where his brother had disappeared from.

As we walked, I felt a shiver run down my spine and looked around, spotting an unfamiliar dark figure in the sky zooming past and making me frown as I muttered, "That can't be good..." Refocusing, I kept after my new friends.

(No POV)

Soon the four heroes made their way towards the woods, passing by the signs warning them to stay out of the woods as they faced the old man who asked, "You're sure you're willing to enter? The woods are very scary things."

Alex smiled a bit and nodded. "I'm definitely certain, old timer. I've had to rescue a lot of people before, and this doesn't seem any different." Though on the other hand, she had been a normal civilian back then. If only she knew what fate had in store...

"Everyone's in danger, miss," the man told her.

"'Everyone's in danger'! Yeah!" Chip cheered from behind Vida, making the two girls roll their eyes in amusement.

Suddenly, a horn caught the group's ears as they looked around and saw Xander and Maddie coming in a Jeep.

Vida stepped forward, clearly riled up. "Xander, I told you if you ever took my car, I'd rearrange your limbs!"

Xander walked over to her. "You're going into the woods and most likely never gonna return. I doubt you'll see it again."

"He's got a point," Chip said, making Alex nod and hum in agreement.

"You're my sister. Wherever you go, I go," Maddie spoke up, making the country girl smile. That was definitely some good sister camaraderie right there.

"And so there is six," Alex heard the old man speak to himself behind them, and she glanced at him, smiling through her confusion. "Yeah, looks like we've got a search party." She turned to the team and nodded towards the thicket. "C'mon, y'all. Let's get in there." She led the way into the woods, the others following behind her.

(Alex's POV)

As we ventured deeper into the forest, I happened to notice that it was a little sunnier around here than it was in the city. "Huh. That's different."

"Ugh, it's creepy out here," Maddie said, Xander speaking in agreement, "Got that right."

I heard a small chime behind us and looked around in confusion, seeing the old man disappear from sight. I did a quick double take out of shock before speaking, "What in tarnation??" I didn't have any explanation on it, but when I looked around and saw the team disappear before my eyes through a magical veil, it made me smile slightly. "Well, I'll be tarred and feathered." I followed the group through the veil and appeared behind them as the biker kid was asking, "Hey, where'd your friend and the old man go?"

"I don't know," I spoke up, startling him and the others as I smiled slightly. "Maybe the old goat disappeared right before your very eyes."

"Ten seconds in the woods and we're already lost. Alright!" Chip laughed in excitement.

We continued onward as Chip went on a tangent about what could be out here. I didn't know about the others, but I was pretty intrigued by the ideas of unusual creatures in the woods.

Of course, the biker kid didn't seem to be that interested. "You've been reading too many fairytales, my friend. I might believe that demons would roam the earth because of the proof in front of us." He jabbed a thumb towards me as he said that bit before continuing, "But other stuff like elves, trolls, and witches? That doesn't fly with me."

They turned to face us before freezing in place out of fear.

The kid laughed slightly as he saw their expressions. "I get it. Now you're playing with me."

I glanced around cautiously and saw something right behind us, a chill running down my spine. "Uh, partner? It might not be as amusing as you'd expect." As I spoke, I tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

He looked around to see a white robed figure and screamed in fright, backing up quickly as the figure advanced towards us.

"Anybody wanna run?" Maddie asked nervously.

"Already tried, but my feet won't move," Xander spoke nervously.

It wasn't long before we all got surrounded by these weird looking things. "It brought friends!" Vida spoke up fearfully.

I saw the creatures and realized they looked similar to Batlings, but less bat themed. "Oh, they are not gonna mess up my first day in a new city with new friends!" I quickly ran forward, starting to fight these monsters with what combat knowledge I had from Hadley and Tana's lessons.

The group seemed to be amazed by my combat prowess, the robed figure nodding in approval as I delivered a roundhouse kick that knocked out the group of goons.

But more of the creatures started appearing, and I saw that it was a larger group than before.

"Mysto Aerotan!" The white robed figure held her hand out towards us.

"Whoa!" I felt a broom fly underneath me and I held on to it as the others joined me with screams of surprise and fright.

(No POV)

Soon our heroes arrived at Rootcore and while Alex landed smoothly, dropping to all fours, the others landed in heaps on the ground.

She looked at them and smirked slightly as she helped them stand. "Y'all ain't used to being carried away in the air like that, are ya?"

"And what are you, a cat?" The biker asked her in amusement, making her chuckle slightly as she took his hand and pulled him up before they both experienced a shock to the system, the same odd sensation from before (but feeling much stronger now) as they got knocked back from each other with a yelp, both of them landing on the ground.

"Whoa!" "The heck was that?!" The sisters quickly ran over and helped them up.

Alex winced slightly and looked at her hand in confusion. "I don't even know what in the hen feathers that was. There's something really out of kilter here."

"Well, anyway," Xander spoke up, looking at the two, "now you both know why no one goes into these woods, dudes."

"Hey, my name is Nick," Nick finally spoke up.

"Alright, simmer down, y'all." Alex spoke up as she got between them. "I don't know exactly where we are, but I do know that whatever dogs you boys got barkin' ain't gonna be huntin'." When she got confused expressions, she sighed and clarified, "Whatever arguments you make won't work because darn tootin', whatever happened back there did happen."

"What is this place, anyway?" Maddie asked curiously.

"We call it Rootcore." The white robed figure that had saved them spoke up from behind them.

The teens were spooked by the figure's appearance and backed up before they all stumbled into the carved dragon's mouth as it closed behind them.

"Kinda cramped, ain't it?" Alex asked before the six of them stumbled into what looked like a base that seemed a lot newer than the tree, along with six symbols on the ground that had color coordination and shapes that looked like magical creatures.

"We thought it best that you were brought here," another voice sounded off, catching the teens' attention as Udonna replaced the brooms in the lit podiums with a wave of her wand and revealed herself to them. "I am the sorceress Udonna. Welcome to my home."

Alex stepped forward and smiled a bit. "I always knew magic was real because I was able to do it when I was little."

"Whoa, you were a magic user the whole time and never showed us?" Chip asked the cowgirl incredulously with a wide smile. "That's incredible!"

Vida nodded a bit. "Also makes sense why you weren't as phased as us. But... if you had magic, why didn't you show it to us?"

"Because her magic isn't exactly the good kind, even though we've been training her to hone it for good purposes," Tana spoke up as her child self, catching the group's attention again before the energy swirled around her and morphed her into the face Alex was used to while removing her hood in the process.

Needless to say, the brunette gothic cowgirl was stunned into silence.

"Now that's something you don't see every day," Nick spoke, equally as shocked.

Tana walked down and smiled at them. "My name's Tana. It's very nice to meet you all."

Chip was beyond excited now as he circled around Tana. "How did you do that? How did you do that?!"

Tana chuckled slightly and shrugged a bit. "I'm not your typical magician, for sure. You could call me a Guardian of Time." The energy surged again and she morphed into an older age, now looking more akin to Udonna.

The sorceress in question chuckled and smiled. "Tana and I have been friends for quite awhile."

Tana morphed back into her normal appearance and nodded a bit. "Being the overseer of time, I know all of the events that have happened, are happening, and will ever happen. Even alternative timelines are no strangers to my eyes."

Alex nodded a bit, still dumbfounded by the experience in front of her. "Clearly not..."

Tana shrugged slightly and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry I didn't say anything sooner, Alex. But it was better if you didn't know until the world needed you."

"Needed us? For what?" Nick asked in confusion.

Udonna took over the explanation for Tana aa she stepped towards the team: "A few years ago, there was a great battle in our world. Dark magic conquered our realm, and it was about to enter your dimension. Well, we finally defeated them and sent them back to the Underworld, but at a great cost."

Tana nodded a bit and looked at the group. "Udonna lost her husband and her son that day, but there was a small victory in it. The vessel for the Master was also secured before the war started and that vessel was hidden within your world."

"Whoa..." Vida was in awe, as were the others.

Udonna looked at the team again. "The gate was sealed with a powerful spell and the vessel's magic confined to a small percentage by Tana's ability. However, during the recent earthquake, a crack appeared in the gate and evil has slipped through."

Xander looked between the two women before he held his hands up. "What does this have to do with us though?"

Tana looked at Xander as she shifted back to her younger self. "I knew this day would come thanks to my insight. It's something that couldn't have been changed. But the future of darkness reigning over both worlds doesn't have to come true."

Nick shrugged slightly, seeming to understand what they were saying, but as he looked at Alex, the two shared a mutual look of 'How could this be real?'

Udonna stepped up and went to the Xenotome, speaking to the teens, "The Xenotome, the book of untold knowledge. In it is everything we do not know."

As the group gathered around, Maddie saw the picture appear and asked, "What kind of language is that? I've never seen it before."

"It is the language of the ancients." The sorceress explained with a smile. "You will learn it soon."

Alex looked at the text curiously and tilted her head slightly. "'When evil rises again, six mystical warriors from the human realm will step forward to battle the darkness.'"

Udonna nodded, impressed by Alex's translation. "It seems you already understand the ancient language thanks to Tana's teachings."

Alex smiled and shrugged modestly. "She taught me a few things."

"The text doesn't lie though," Tana stepped forward, looking at the teens. "You all are those mystic warriors, the Power Rangers Mystic Force."

The teens looked at each other in confusion before Xander asked the biggest question for most of his friends: "Okay, but how can we be Power Rangers? I mean, our high school hasn't won a football game in years."

In response, Udonna produced six wands with crystal shapes on the top matching the symbols on the ground. "These are your magic wands. Never go anywhere without them." She passed each wand out to the group, each member taking one as the corresponding crystals shone in their respective colors.

"Udonna! Udonna!" A young blonde girl ran over before she noticed the others. "Oh, hello! Nice to meet you! Uh, excuse me." She turned back to the sorceress and whispered into her ear.

Alex was bemused by the appearance of the blonde. "Okay, that's something you don't see every day."

Nick nodded in agreement before the newly elected Rangers saw Udonna turning to them and speaking, "You must stay here until I return. Do not go in the woods by yourselves."

Alex recognized Udonna's tone and nodded a bit, watching the elder sorceress teleport away with a snap of her fingers.

The blonde tried to do the same without any result. "I wish I could do that! I practice and I practice, but... nothing!" She looked at the others. "Sorry about that, everyone. My name's Clare, and I'm a sorceress in training here in Rootcore."

Tana changed back to her adult form and chuckled slightly before walking over and explaining, "Clare's mom was pretty skilled, but unfortunately Clare here has a long way to go with her magic. I've helped her learn some good spells and time magic. Surprisingly, she picked up on that real quick."

Alex shrugged slightly. "Well, can't be any weirder than what we've already seen."

Vida nodded in agreement. "Right with you."

Nick laughed a little. "Yeah, I'm outta here." He tried to walk out, but Clare stopped him. "Whoa, hold on! Udonna said you guys can't go out into the woods by yourselves!"

Tana nodded slightly. "She's right. It'll be better if I go with you. Make sure you're all safe."

The group nodded in agreement before Alex suddenly dropped to the ground, screaming as a dark aura surrounded her body.

"Alex!" Xander ran over to catch her, but he quickly withdrew his hands when the aura threatened to attack him. "Whoa!"

Tana ran over and caught Alex, thankfully being immune to the side effects. "I knew this was gonna happen."

Nick was leaning against a wall to try and steady himself as he shook his head. "What's going on with her?"

"The full power of her dark magic is extremely dangerous. If she unleashes it, it's gonna cause a lot of trouble," Tana explained before quickly making a counterclockwise gesture with her hands (similar to the Kamen Rider Ghost Damashii creation process) and within seconds, Alex felt the pain subside.

"Oh... that hurt," the Southern accented girl groaned.

Maddie helped a recovering Nick stand upright as she looked at him in concern. "Are you okay?"

He nodded slightly. "Yeah, I think so. But why did that affect me too?"

Clare shook her head, having witnessed the whole thing. "I couldn't say."

Tana pursed her lips slightly, knowing the truth about the situation, but before she could say anything, her alert chime went off and she quickly opened a portal to see what was happening. "Uh-oh. Now might be a good time to head out to the village." She stood up and looked at the others. "Keep your wands on you and follow me." She headed through the portal quickly.

Alex looked at the group and shrugged slightly before gripping her wand tightly and heading through the portal, the others following suit after a moment of hesitation, and Clare closed the portal behind them once she was through before they all made their way to a smouldering village.

"Look at that," Maddie said in shock.

Tana pursed her lips slightly, a look of sadness on her face. "A woodland village destroyed. There'll be more until the darkness gets what they want." She looked at the others. "Then they'll go after you guys."

Nick shook his head slightly. "This is terrible."

"It is them! The protectors are here!" An elf stepped towards them and knelt down. "Hail the Mystic Force!" The villagers followed his lead in awe.

"I always wondered what it'd be like to be worshipped. It's not so bad," Xander said with a grin, earning him an elbow to the ribs from Alex.

Suddenly, a roaring caught their attention as a massive stone creature came into sight.

Alex stepped forward and looked at Udonna. "I'm guessing that's one of the monsters sent by these darkness creeps?"

Udonna nodded slightly. "Indeed."

"Okay, that's bad," Xander said nervously as the villagers scattered out of fear.

Alex immediately took charge. "Alright y'all! If you brought your wands, follow our lead!" She held her wand at the ready alongside Udonna before the two moved their arms fluidly and spoke in unison: "Magical Source, Mystic Force!"

The two ladies morphed into similar outfits (Udonna's being more armored than Alex's and white compared to the black base and silver accents).

"Flurry of snow! White Mystic Ranger!" Udonna shouted, wielding her Snow Staff readily.

"Silent as the darkness! Black Mystic Ranger!" Alex shouted, striking a graceful pose.

"Now that's cool," Vida spoke in awe.

Nick looked at his own wand and looked at the group with a smirk. "Let's do it." He stepped forward and led the other five Rangers through the same process: "Magical Source, Mystic Force!" The group changed into outfits that were similar to Alex's, but with their own motifs and colors.

"Strong as a tree! Green Mystic Ranger!"

"Ever-changing as the wind! Pink Mystic Ranger!"

"Fluid as the sea! Blue Mystic Ranger!"

"Fast as lightning! Yellow Mystic Ranger!"

"Fearsome as fire! Red Mystic Ranger!"

The group looked at each other in amazement and excitement before they joined up with Udonna and Alex, the latter assessing the situation and snapping her fingers quickly to restrain the golem with several shadows.

"Let's bring the pain!" Maddie spoke up, firing some water magic at the golem, Udonna smiling as she assisted her by using some ice magic to crack the golem. Vida utilized her wind magic to knock down some branches to help Alex keep the golem pinned.

"Go for it, boys!" Allex called out to the others.

Chip and Xander tag teamed the Golem with lightning blasts and root breakage spells respectfully.

"Alright! Now it's my turn!" Nick shouted, pumping his fist bravely before he crossed his arms. "I summon the power of the mighty Phoenix!" A fireball formed in front of him and shot up high before he jumped up and flipped backwards, kicking it into the monster before cleanly landing and swinging his wand to his side, holding a hand up with the other Rangers. "Checkmate!" Together, the seven heroes snapped their fingers and the golem exploded in response.

The group looked around and saw more Hidiacs coming. "Oh, sweet nibblets, not these blockheads again," Alex muttered quietly.

Tana stepped forward. "Too easy." She raised her staff and froze the Hidiacs in place, rendering them immobile.

Alex grinned at her caretaker and nodded. "Nice one, Tan. Now let's see what else my darkness magic can do." She crossed her arms swiftly. "I summon the power of the unshakable Serpent!" Creating several tendrils of shadow magic, she fired them at the Hidiacs, destroying each one of them before she turned around and posed. "Now they've seen my dark side." She snapped her fingers and the Hidiacs exploded behind her.

Udonna rejoined the teens as the seven heroes demorphed. "Well, well. Very nice. Seems you truly are the ones. Are you up for the task? Are you now ready to accept your legacy?"

"Oh yeah!" Chip spoke up eagerly. "Bring it on!"

Vida agreed with him, "I'm in! I mean we kicked some serious evil back there!"

Xander and Maddie agreed as well, but Nick seemed to be somewhat hesitant. "I still don't really believe that all this stuff is real, but considering what just happened, I can't just let people - magical or not - get hurt. I'm willing to give it all I've got."

Alex nodded in agreement. "I was trained to save people back in Mariner Bay, so I'm saying yes."

Clare watched in excitement, feeling happy for the others. "So there truly are six now."

Suddenly, the sound of a magic portal caught everyone's attention as Koragg appeared, putting them all on edge.

"You may have defeated my Hidiacs, but you will not defeat me," Koragg spoke while drawing his blade. "Wolf Attack!" His shield opened and sent a blast of dark magic at them, which knocked them all into the air from the explosive force before they hit the ground hard.

"It is the end for you," Koragg declared, laughing wickedly as Udonna and Alex glared at the dark magic knight.

(To be continued...)

Yeesh, I swear some of these two parters are long. Makes me wonder why Kamen Rider always does two episodes for a full chapter in their seasons. Anywho, I don't know how many times I'm gonna be pulling this off. All I do know is that I have a lot more seasons of Power Rangers to cover, more episodes to work with, and a lot more writing to do, so stick around, y'all!
