Chapter 2: Why is there a Gacha?
2 weeks later, Late afternoon
New York City, Corinth cemetery
Marie Stark.
I admit, I don't really have experience with funerals. I've had the luck of not having many deaths among my loved ones…
The only one I could think of was Obadiah Stane and…well, he officially disappeared after a vacation or something. There never really was a proper ceremony for his death. I obviously get why, he did try to kill my parents after all…
But I guess on some level, I just hoped the old guy would just walk in one day with pizza again and chastise my dad for blowing off another meeting.
Stark international and Oscorp have been at each other's throats since their inception, o isn't it rather ironic that both my parents and I were invited for Harry Osborne's funeral. My parents declined…well, I guess they did have legitimate excuses. Things with SHIELD and the company. I can only guess the reason my parents were invited was because I was friends with Harry.
Most people probably didn't know that we weren't really that close in the end. Parker, Stacy and Leeds were all here as well, though I stood a good two meters behind them; they were his real friends, not me. Better that I don't get in the way
But yeah…. Funerals. I think SHIELD is still investigating the global popping of what seems to be at least 90 People. And while they're scratching their heads on how that happened, as well as whoever was responsible, I had a feeling they'd never figure it out. After all, whatever the system is, it's certainly less traceable than a gun or a signal, and they were still missing nine of the victims. Ten missing, technically. I just happened to survive.
To know that Harry had the same chance as me was….It was interesting. Who knew we were so similar in the end?
Most of the bodies seem to be recoverable to some degree, Harry's being one among them. Most bodies exploded from the heart going outwards, usually leaving a pretty large mess behind. Yeah, it really wasn't nice.
As far as I guessed, Harry's body was repaired to some degree. The same can't be said for most other victims. Though, I can't be that sure any more, as the body in the casket was not the real deal. My observe skill told me that much. It's a fairly convincing wax puppet in a suit but nothing more.
Looking over to Norman Osborne, I can only guess what's going through his head. I admit to not really knowing the man outside of functions and interviews….but I can see he's hurting. He's not exactly crying. But you can see that his gaze is a thousand miles away. He's had a near catatonic expression throughout the entire thing.
And I wonder… If I can't do something there. This system I have…shouldn't it allow for various supernatural phenomena? Couldn't I grow intelligent enough one day to resurrect the dead, or something like that? But…. Harry was killed by the system. Would it allow me to bring him back?
Notice: Failed Candidates of the GAME system are not barred from resurrection. Should such an event occur, their memories and any evidence of the system will be erased from them.
Well….that answers that question.
But I might be able to do something with that. I've considered a few things now that I've managed to get the full system. If I want to gain more XP, or even finish my first quest, I'll need resources. And while the name Stark would give me what I need. it would require telling my parents what I've been doing.
My dad is no stranger to killing bad people, so I doubt I'd have trouble convincing him on that but… He'd probably take over the entire plan.
I need to do this myself if I want to grow. And that means I also need to provide for myself.
Osborne might be the right way to go. The funeral was wrapping up anyway. The body had been lowered in a grave, the hole had been filled, and the stone was set. I saw Parker talking with him briefly and while that seemed to be able to cheer Norman up for a second, it quickly faded.
Many of the guests were already leaving. Happy had already gestured towards me to get going, but I waved him down. I wanted to talk with the elder Osborne.
With slow steps, I make my way towards Norman. He doesn't really notice my presence until I slowly tug at his arm. "Mr Osborne?" I ask with a sure tone.
He slowly turns away from the grave before looking at me. The dark rings under his eyes indicate a pretty bad lack of sleep. Honestly understandable. The death along with the media circus that happened right after would do that. Not to mention that Shield wanted to cover it up initially, and he blew the lid on that.
Can't imagine they like him right now.
"Marie… I'm glad that you came. Harry and you were close…" he ended the sentence with an unsure tone. I guess he couldn't really tell. Based on Harry's behaviour, Norman wasn't the most attentive father. Though, he did have certain expectations of his son. Expectations that fucked with Harry a lot.
But considering that Norman has now not only lost his wife but son as well, I can imagine that he's feeling rather retrospective right now.
"I...we were friends, yes.… But it's not what I wanted to talk about." I gesture to the grave. "You buried a rather convincing puppet there. The face was uncanny, and I think you had it wear one of his real suits. So I'm curious. Were you able to restore his body somewhat?"
Norman's eyes narrowed a considerable degree, and his entire expression changed. "Is this what Stark's Corporate espionage focuses on these days? Or did he get Shield to do this?" He practically spits out.
I shake my head in turn. "No. This was something I figured out myself. Don't know if either of them have figured it out but-'"
"Get to the point girl. I don't want to be led around by a teenager trying to be cryptic in her attempts at manipulation." he barks out, startling me a bit.
Taking a moment to gather my thoughts, I offer my proposition, "Fine then. I want to make a deal with you, not as a Stark, but as a friend of your son. I can help bring him back, and I'll do so but I'll need payment. Something that can't be tracked back to either of us."
His gaze snaps from the figure of his son to me and I see rage in his eyes for the barest moment before he schools his expression. He stares at me hard for a moment, and for a moment I think might have ruined this, before he puts his hand to his chin with a ponderous expression, "I doubt you would make a joke about something this serious, nor do I think you would be so brazen as to make such an offer without being able to follow through. And I doubt SHIELD would put you up to this either; while they can be vindictive when wronged, they wouldn't be so petty as to lead me along or give me false hope. So what do you base this possible resurrection on, girl?"
I take a mental pause, happy that he's receptive. For most people, making this kind of social faux pas would end the conversation then and there, but Norman Osborne, ever the consummate professional, would want to consider every option available before making a decision.
I can appreciate that.
But now it's time to sell my bluff, "In terms of an investment proposal, I don't have much to show other than my own word. But I might as well give you my pitch. Have you ever heard of the Einherjar?"
His eyebrows raised for a moment. "Tangentially at best. They were warriors of Norse myth, if I recall correctly? Though considering the fact that Thor's existence is now a proven fact, I'm guessing there's more to them."
"They were human warriors who earned the right to enter Valhalla after their deaths. They are now in service of Odin, who can call upon them as his soldiers outside of Valhalla. And Thor, the blabbermouth that he is, has only confirmed my suspicions of what that implies."
Norman's eyes widened just a bit before he asked, "Resurrection through a supposed god. Even if your theory is correct, how could you possibly implement it with Harry? I doubt Asgard would want anything I can give them."
A valid question, and one I can't back up with anything just yet. "Right now? I don't know. But as I mentioned, Thor is loose-lipped and I pay attention to what he brings and what he says. And as odd as it sounds, I have enough to actually begin studying magic in earnest."
"So you have nothing to show right now but offer false hope?" He raised his voice, far more than before. The veins on his face were practically ready to burst.
Ah..fuck, I messed up. I really should've thought this thing through rather than making it up as I go.
I blame my Intelligence stat.
I cough before giving another nod, I continue, "Y-Yes, but I also don't want anything. I'm simply offering to bring my earliest findings to you and would then ask for funding once I can actually show something for it."
"I see. I still don't understand the need for secrecy. I'm guessing you have some foundation for your research, why not bring this to your father?" he rightfully questions.
"I want to leave my own mark on the world. Telling Dad what I've discovered so far would end up with him quickly taking over and leaving me in the dust. And he's far too monitored, so it could take far longer for you to actually benefit from it." I hope that answer is enough for now. It's technically true, I have a few more reasons after all, but he doesn't need to know my every motivation.
"I see…well... So this means you don't actually want anything right now?" He questions me, "A rather unorthodox approach to gaining investment."
"Yes, all I can ask is that you preserve Harry's body to the best degree. Considering your bioengineering research, I'd hope that's already the case?" I ask with some trepidation. I don't even have a clue about how to approach resurrection… But my power focuses on growth, right? And hell, if I fail, I'll just have to come up with something else instead.
My attention snaps back to Osborne, who seems to have calmed down significantly, as he turns back to his son, "You guessed correctly. Bringing back the dead was never something we had in the works, but considering our work in recreating project Rebirth, we have something to work with at the moment." He states with an odd look in his eyes.
And I can't even pretend to know what the hell he was talking about. Project Rebirth sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it.
"I guess you aren't privy to all the secrets your father and SHIELD have access to." he stated with a smirk, sending a small shiver down my spine. Should I have planned this out better?... probably… Fuck.
"I…I'm not…no. These days, I tend to find out what my dad does when it shows up on the news. Not to mention, I barely hear anything about SHIELD.." I quickly state. His expression really doesn't promise agreement, so I continue, "Look. I know this seems untrustworthy, but I'm dedicated to doing this. And I guarantee I'll bring you results."
He gives a nod before looking back towards the grave. "So I would hope." he continues to stare for another moment before letting out a tired sigh, "Fine. I'll give you your chance. Contact me when you have something… And keep quiet about this conversation. I will do the same in turn."
"Thank you for hearing me out, sir. I… I hope we meet each other soon." I quickly state with a short nod and turn away.
Finally, I make my way towards Happy, who looks at me with an uncertain look. As I reach the car, he opens the door of the car for me before getting in himself.
After starting the car, he slowly asks, "Osborne looked a little pissed off there. Everything ok?"
I look at him through the rearview mirror, "Yeah, just… It's hard to explain. Norman hasn't been taking good care of himself and I just wanted him to…be aware of that."
"Ah…well, I don't know the guy enough to know if that was a good idea or not." he states before taking another turn.
Looking at the pings, I can't help but mumble, "Well, neither do I".

New Quest: a failure's rebirth
To bring back that which was discarded!
Bring about the resurrection of Harry Osborne in service of his father within a year!
Rewards: 500,000 XP, 2 Legendary Gacha tokens!
Failure: Exposure to the Avengers and SHIELD, Incarceration and imprisonment!
Fucking great, the damn thing had a time limit and a bloody failure condition as well. I guess Osborne isn't exactly pleased even if I never contact him and decides to rat me out…
It's pretty good that the system knows things like this, actually. I would have otherwise been more focused on the other quest. Though I need to work on that one as well….
So I actually need to be serious about this.
Well, I talked about Thor and all that…so I guess the first step would be magic….
How the fuck do I learn magic?
3 days Later, late afternoon
New York City, Midtown High
Marie Stark.
I admit, I should have visited the school library much earlier than I initially did. To be fair, I didn't know something like a skill book was even a thing but….
Well, I'm happy. I initially came here to keep training my intelligence stat and to increase the observe skill. And then I stumbled upon a bog-standard English dictionary that suddenly pinged that it was in fact a skill book. Picking it up gave me a system prompt asking me if I wanted to learn it.
Upon accepting, the book dissolved into small motes of light, and my English skill nearly maxed itself out. After that, well…
I've been looking around for more skill books, but haven't been finding that many interesting skill books. The library was mainly focused on fiction and subject specific subjects of the school, so there weren't many things outside of those categories.
I was still looking around when I noticed Gwen Stacy walk past and head towards a few shelves in the back. The girl didn't seem to notice me, and I honestly appreciated that…. Wait, hadn't she left school for today already?
Eh…not important. Besides… While Harry's old friend group was…very welcoming to me, and I'm sure I could integrate myself with some effort… I didn't really want to.
Why would I meet with friends when I could be grinding stats instead? Or work on a quest? Or try to figure out magic? I know I should make an effort to make friends but…the way I saw it, once I have an even higher charisma stat, I can do that with ease.
Either way, magic….
Right.
Perhaps you should finally use the gacha?
Gacha…Oh right! That other system that was unlocked. I briefly looked up what it meant. It's a gaming mechanic that gives you random in game rewards, usually for real currency. But I guess in my case it's about these gacha tokens.
I wonder, the Tokens promised in the Osborne quest specify that they are epic but the three that I have don't have any extra description.
The gacha tokens you have been fully randomized, both in what rarity your reward will be and what category it fits in. The ones promised as a quest reward have a guaranteed rarity of epic, which usually has a 10% chance of occurring naturally.
Well shit. I guess those are super rare then…. Either way, I think it's time to use the ones I have.
I access the menu and trigger the first roll. A small animation plays which I can conveniently skip and my reward is revealed.
Rare Summon - Big Daddy (Bioshock)
What….what the fuck is that. I'm almost afraid to click on the icon but decide to do so nevertheless. What appears is thankfully nothing like what I was expecting. It seemed to be a person wearing a fully airtight diving suit of sorts. The proportions were off and the visor was extremely large, covering the upper torso as well. Maybe this was some kind of hunchback underneath?
Congratulations on acquiring your first summon! Summons are beings from other planes of reality that have been brought over in your service. While they cannot be fully controlled, as to not modify their natural capabilities and mental faculties, they do have an unbreakable sense of loyalty to you and will follow your orders with little question. Should a Summon perish while manifested, you will have to wait a waiting period of 24 hours for them to be restored.
Well….that seems pretty neat, actually. I'm guessing this one could fight or build to some degree, as he also had a massive drill covering his right arm. Definitely some combat potential there. And if the last part is true, then that means I can have summons absolutely behave like expendable cannon fodder if need be. I'll need to try this later.
But, I still have two tickets to go. Time to see what they give me. I roll another and skip the animation.
Epic Tome - "Diis Dictata" the God's bible (Elden Ring)
Well that sounds pretty cool. Plus, a tome implies something magical, or at least I think it does. Did I just hit gold? I click on the item's icon and read its description.
"This collection of prayerbooks and scripture contains a complete compendium of all acts of faith and miracles within the lands between. Any one book needs to be mastered before another can be opened. Would you like to see which books are available?"
Did I get scammed? The fuck do they mean with Prayer? I wanted a grimoire, not some damn fantasy bible…..
Ok, I need to calm down.
It was an epic item, so I strongly doubt that it's a useless book.
Do note: Rarity is not necessarily an indicator of value or usefulness but can also be the item's rarity within its universe of origin.
Well, that doesn't fill me with confidence. But I guess I should choose one of the books.
Please decide which book you would like to start with:
Two Fingers' Prayerbook
Assassin's Prayerbook
Golden Order Principia
Primordial Tome of the Erdtree
Fire Monks' Prayerbook
Giant's Prayerbook
Litanies to the bloodmother
Ponderings of the Beast Within
A Dragon Slayer's Cookbook [Unavailable at this time]
Ancient Dragon Prayerbook
Dragon Cult Prayerbook
Ramblings of the great Flame
Godskin Prayerbook
Prayers to the Everblooming mother
I'm…Ok….Well. That's interesting….So I'm guessing these are at least somewhat magical in nature. So I should start with something that would be useful. Fighting gangs isn't something I should do out in the open, so I assume I should probably go for the Assassin's Prayerbook then?
Assassin's Prayerbook (Active)
Available incantations:
Assassin's Approach (0%)
Darkness (0%)
Cure Poison (0%)
Urgent Heal (0%)
Shadow Bait (0%)
Ok…so these seem to have potential. But how do I use them…
I hold out my hand and try to…cast the spell, think of it?
To enact an incantation through your faith, both faith and a catalyst is required.
Ok so…what the hell do I make of this. I have no idea how the hell faith comes into play… nor do I know how to acquire a catalyst. Well, I do have the prayerbook now, so I'll probably be able to figure out what to do from there.
Ok… I want to get right to doing this, but right now I still have one token left.
Might as well use it, right? The animation plays one last time.
Epic Power - Dominance Stamp
There's a weird fuzzy feeling on the palm of my right hand. I quickly look at the afflicted skin and saw a black tattoo in the centre of my palm. It was in the shape of an 8 pointed star, its points crested by a crooked half moon, three scores marking the length of each hand, with a far larger, more wicked half moon within its centre. Generally very menacing. It seemed like a magical circle at first glance, but segments of it reminded me of barcodes.
I can't say I'm for getting powers that permanently affect my body like this, but this seems easy to hide at least. Though I can't help but wonder what exactly it's meant to do.
By gently pressing your palm against any area of the target's skin for approximately 3 seconds, you initiate the marking process with the Dominance Stamp. This mark gradually matures over 72 hours, growing to its full size. The presence of the mark is seamlessly rationalized by the target, but not by others around them. Upon completion, the Dominance Stamp effectively doubles affection gains and maximizes loyalty gains by a factor of 10 while disallowing direct hostility towards you. Loyalty cannot be eroded or lessened after completion. Your system will also be able to track anyone already marked by you.
WARNING: Magical beings and those with very strong wills may experience a delayed formation of the mark and may even notice the mark.
Once fully formed, you gain the ability to imbue weaker versions of your powers onto the target by pressing your palm against the mark. Only 3 Individuals at a time can be affected like this.
Well, ell, not anything flashy, sadly,, but my god, this is abusable. Really abusable. And any allies I make would benefit massively from this. The power sharing aspect would need testing first though, because I'm not that sure what would be transferred.
But for now. I'll be focusing on the miracle spells… or whatever they are.
I packed my bag and removed my headphones as I was about to leave the library, but before I stood up, I hesitated. There was a faint noise that caught my attention - a soft, husky murmur that seemed to be coming from deeper within the stacks. At first, I thought it was just the hum of the fluorescent lights or the distant chatter of students, but then I could've sworn I heard... soft moans. The sound sent a shiver down my spine as I tried to pinpoint its source.
My curiosity piqued, I slowly turned around and scanned the shelves behind me, my eyes scanning the rows of books for any sign of movement. That's when I noticed the source of the sound was coming from the other side of a bookcase. I cautiously moved towards it, pushing aside books and dusting off any debris that got in my way.
As I rounded the corner, I was met with an entirely unexpected sight. Gwen Stacy, honour student and everything, was…pleasuring herself in a secluded section of the library, I could feel my face heat up with embarrassment as I watched, frozen in place. I couldn't help but stare, my mind racing with questions about what could possibly be driving her to this in such a public place?
But... how did she get here? I distinctly remembered seeing her leave school earlier that day. Her dad had picked her up, and I'd waved goodbye as she drove off in his patrol car. How was she back here?
What really caught my attention, though, was a phone on the floor beside her. It was set to record and from the angle it sat in, it would get the full view of her actions.
I considered how odd it all was and decided to use Observe on Gwen again,
Jane Doe LV 31
Reputation = 2
Loyalty = 0
Affection = 0
Str = 25
Dex = 40
Con = 28
Wis = 18
Int = 20
Cha = 24
I see… Well then. This certainly changes things. A person looking like Gwen Stacy, but most certainly isn't Gwen Stacy filming herself in a rather vulnerable position. Sounds like Blackmail material creation to me…
In that case… Having a shapeshifter around would be really interesting to study. I could just blackmail them as well?
I take my own phone out and set it to record the fake Gwen. While I considered for a moment how immoral this might seem, what the other person was doing felt much worse in my mind. Besides, Gwen was attractive and having this would be…..
Why would I even want to blackmail Gwen? She doesn't have anything I'd want. Her dad's a Police captain, sure, but I don't really plan on interacting with them in any meaningful capacity. Actually…on the idea of blackmail, wouldn't I be a much better target for this sort of thing.
A shiver ran down my spine at the very thought. I came from Money after all…and….
Looking back at the imposter, I realize, that I need to get my hands on that phone.
My phone was hidden behind the books with an ideal view of them, but I also needed to confront them. All their stats other than mental ones are higher than mine. So a direct confrontation wouldn't be the best. And my new summon…I'm unsure of what I can do with him. He's very big and bringing him in here might just destroy a good section of the library.
Fuck it. Maybe just do the mark then? Actually yeah, that could work.
I wait for a while before the imposter Gwen turns off the phone and packs her bags. Soon enough, she's leaving the aisle and I move to intercept her. Halfway towards the exit, I purposefully bump into her with a good bit of force. Knocking her to the ground.
"Oh my gosh, Gwen! I'm so sorry!" I blurt out, making my voice drip with concern as I quickly kneel beside her. The imposter Gwen blinks, startled, but quickly schools her expression into one of mild annoyance—though I can see her trying to play the part of the forgiving friend.
"It's… fine, Marie," she mutters, her tone slightly off. She sounds more irritated than Gwen ever would. She starts to push herself up, but I extend my hand toward her.
"Here, let me help you." I keep my smile friendly, my hand steady as I wait for her to take it.
There's a brief hesitation, just a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes, before she reaches out and grasps my hand. Her fingers are cool to the touch, and I subtly adjust my grip, making sure the contact is firm. I can feel the tingle of my power beginning to seep through our connection, and I focus on keeping her attention.
"Why are you still here, by the way?" I ask, tilting my head with curiosity as I pull her to her feet. "I could've sworn I saw you leave with your dad earlier today."
The imposter's eyes widen slightly—just for a fraction of a second. She quickly masks it, but not quickly enough. "Oh, uh… I came back to pick up some stuff I forgot," she stammers, her voice lacking Gwen's usual easy confidence. "You know, textbooks and… notes and stuff."
"Really?" I draw out the word, watching as she struggles to maintain her composure. My power is almost done now. I just need to keep her talking for a few more seconds. "Are you sure? You didn't seem to have any trouble at the last test, though."
"Yeah, well… better safe than sorry, right?" she replies, her voice slightly strained.
"Of course," I say, not bothering to hide the teasing edge in my tone. "You never know when you might need that extra study time."
She lets out a nervous laugh, obviously uncomfortable. The act is slipping. She's clearly not used to this level of scrutiny—Gwen wouldn't be either, but the real Gwen wouldn't be fumbling this badly.
I decide to let her off the hook. The mark is set, and there's no need to push further. I relax my grip, giving her a light pat on the shoulder before stepping back. "Well, I won't keep you any longer, Gwen. See you tomorrow!"
Her relief is palpable as she gives me a tight-lipped smile and quickly gathers her things. I watch her hurry out of the library, a small, satisfied smile playing on my lips.
I give it a few moments before leaving as well, making a mental note to review the footage from my phone later. It will probably be worth nothing though. I had hoped to get something like a frame of her transforming into someone else, but she decided to leave as Gwen after all.
Nevertheless, my mark's in place, and soon enough, I'll have that fake properly figured out.

God, I love upgrades…But I still need experience points…and there's only one source for that. I'll have to do more research for the next time I try to kill someone though.
I can't have a repeat of what happened last time. The Dungeon system hinted at by the System seems promising, but I need to have finished the quest for that. And taking down any criminal organisation feels like it will require some degree of combat.
That afternoon
Stark Tower, New York City
Marie Stark.
I move past the automatic doors of Stark Tower, the familiar cool air of the lobby washing over me as I step inside. The sleek, modern design of the space, with its marble floors and high ceilings, still manages to impress me, even after all these years. The Chitauri invasion had left its mark on the city, but here, everything was back to its pristine, unshaken state.
"Good evening, Miss Stark," the receptionist greets me with a warm smile as I pass by her desk.
"Evening, Evelynn," I reply, returning the smile. I can see the curiosity in her eyes, I was late after all, and Happy wasn't with me either..
Yet she doesn't ask about my day, and I appreciate that. It's not that I'm avoiding conversation—I just have other things on my mind.
I head toward the private elevator at the far end of the lobby, the one reserved for family. The panel beside the door scans my face, and a moment later, the doors slide open with a soft whoosh. I step inside, and the elevator begins its smooth ascent.
"Good evening, Miss Stark," Jarvis's voice greets me, his tone as polite as ever. "I trust your day has been productive?"
"As productive as it could be," I reply with a small smirk. The memory of my encounter with the imposter Gwen is still fresh in my mind. "What's the status on Mom and Dad?"
"Your mother is currently in a meeting with the board of Stark International," Jarvis informs me, his voice filling the small space. "She's been quite busy with the upcoming expansion into the European markets. Your father, on the other hand, is attending a government meeting concerning the possible deputization of the Avengers."
"Of course he is," I mutter, though there's no bitterness in my voice this time. The familiar sting of disappointment doesn't come. Instead, I find myself feeling almost… relieved.
For once, their absence means freedom. Freedom to work on what I need to without interruption or prying eyes. They'd understand—if they knew everything. But they don't, and that's for the best.
"Anything you require assistance with this evening?" Jarvis asks as the elevator comes to a stop at my floor.
"Not at the moment, but I'll let you know if I do," I say as the doors slide open.
"Thanks, Jarvis."
"Always a pleasure, Miss Stark."
I step out into the hallway, the soft carpeting muffling my footsteps as I make my way to my room. The door recognizes me instantly, unlocking with a quiet click as I push it open and step inside.
My room is just as I left it—minimalist and tidy, with just the right balance of personal touches to keep it from feeling sterile. I've lived here for a year now and hadn't felt much like decorating really. I drop my bag onto the bed and make a beeline for my desk, turning on my computer with a single press of the power button.
The screen comes to life, and I sink into the chair, my mind already racing with ideas. If I'm going to get better, I need more than just practice in the field and stat points. So, why not focus on something that I've tried before. Engineering, programming… these are the skills that built this tower, that keep the world turning. If I can master them, well… the threat of Iron Man was enough to pacify the Middle East. And That Doom guy managed to take over a country in Eastern Europe or something and he's also just a guy in Power Armour…
Who's to say I can't do something similar?
I also have to study the things I got from the Gacha. Figuring out how the prayers or Miracles work will be a boon… And then I also need to figure out how to approach the quest on taking on the City's gangs.
I don't even bother trying to get anything from the network here. Jarvis keeps an eye on everything, and keeping him out would require… An AI.
Wait a god-damn minute.
I move to the side of my desk and open the drawer. I find the small hard drive I was thinking of right in the back. With this, I can actually do something.
Years ago, I had a copy of Jarvis' Code Framework because I wanted to try my hand at programming an AI and…well obviously, I was woefully inept and couldn't understand anything. Dad managed to begin his at my age and I thought well…enough of that.
What matters is that I technically have the basic building blocks to make my own AI with this.
So, I connect the Hard drive to my computer, load up dozens of programming tutorials on YouTube and get to work…
Figuratively, anyway, I can't code for shit just yet.
But I will.
But yeah. I also have a . Can't promise much there, but I do post early drafts and future scenes there. As well as, all the Art for the stories I make will be posted there. Have a wonderful day!
