I took Louie shopping today because him and his brothers have had another growth spurt. Huey was busy and Dewey refused. Louie had wanted to stay home to, but I need at least one of them with me so Louie is was.

"This is against my rights." Louie said, loudly, as we got out the car.

I gave him a look. "I don't care, Louie. Now, we need new tops for you all. I was going to try Swans?" I love Swans, it's a lovely upmarket shop that also does really cute kids outfit. Sorry. 'Young Adult' clothing.

Louie snorted. "Yeah, don't wanna burst your bubble, mom, but that's not going to work. For me and Dewey? Sure, we're cool. But Huey? He likes the specific tops he has."

Yeah, that's true. I tried to get him a new top for his birthday last year. I thought he liked it because he thanked me and hugged me, but I should have guessed by the way he looked at the top like it had personally offended him that he didn't actually like it. Sure enough Louie ended up stealing it.

So we went and got Huey one more top in the specific colour and fabric that he likes. Then we went to swans. Louie picked out a sharp tee shirt and cap. For Dewey we got a top with Hamilton on it. Then Louie grabbed a random red tie. I gave him a confused look and he said, defensively.

"It's for Huey. We're going to that dance next week and he wants to look as smart as possible. Hopefully he'll like it." He wrapped the tie around his wings.

"Aw." I smiled at him.

Louie shook his head. "Don't look at me like that. It's just so he shuts up about the stupid tie, alright?"

I nodded, keeping a straight face.

When we got back I gave Dewey his top while Louie went upstairs to find Huey. Dewey gave an excited squeal and hugged the top. "Thanks Mom!" Still gives me a funny warm feeling when they call me mom.

Huey ran in and proudly showed me the tie that Louie had brought him. "It'll go perfectly with the suit I want to wear." He said, excitedly.

Dewey laughed and punched Huey's shoulder lightly. "Trust you to wear a suit. Watch out girls, Huey Ducks about!"

"Oh shut up." Huey glared. "You're one to talk anyway. Have you asked-"

Dewey made 'shut up' noises and grabbed Huey's beak.

"Boys!" I gestured Dewey to get of his brother. "Dewey, you know we don't grab beaks!"

Dewey surrendered. "You're totally right, Mom and because of that I will go up to my room right now and think very hard about what I did. Ok, see you, bye!" And he ran off.

I looked at Huey who shrugged.
