The knock on my door at 3 am was not expected, I was annoyed but Aria and Piper weren't going to get up. I rolled out of bed and went to answer, "Max its freaking 3 am" I said, "I know I need your help" he said. At least I knew he was safe, Adam told me hadn't gone to bed yet, I closed my door and stood with him in the hallway, "this is Lillia" I said, "okay and?" I said annoyed, "her boyfriend beats her, Listen I need you to let her stay with you" he said. "Max" I said, "please Klea she can't stay in my dorm just until I figure things out" he said. "Fine" I said and I let her in Max left, "thank you" she said. The only reason I agreed was because she looked to be in rough shape and I felt bad.
I mean I did have a heart and to think her boyfriend did this to her sucked, we all went to bed I would need to find out more tomorrow. I had class in the morning and so did Max so I had no idea what he was planning on doing. I knew he was only going to get like 3 hours of sleep, the next morning all of us were getting ready, "who is she?" Aria asked, "Lillia is her name Max brought her here" I said, "should I be worried?" Aria said, "no, he would never" I assured her. I still had no idea who this girl really was. She was still asleep and I needed to get to class, I was late so I needed to run, I met with Max, "she was asleep when I left" I said, "thanks for doing this" he said, "Yeah but I am still not sure why you are asking me for help" I said. "She is scared and needs it, Klea you of all people should get it. I can't do this without you" he said, "fine" I said knowing I would help him no questions asked.
Class couldn't go by any slower, and Max and I received top marks on our project but I knew that we would. We were both doing well and that was all me I was pulling Max through this program the kid had a lot of issues. I did care for him though in a brotherly way, I would do anything for Max he was literally my do or die. We made it back to my dorm it was just after 4 pm, Lillia was still there, "hey" she said to Max and hugged him. If Aria was here I would be worried for her, "what is going on?" I asked, "I am not sure where to go from here Max, and I am worried I put you in danger" she said. "Don't worry about me, Lillia where is your family?" he asked, "I am sure they are still in Adventure Bay" she said, "go there then, talk to my dad he can help you" he said, "I am scared" she said, "Detective Chapman will help you Lillia and you let us worry about this boyfriend of yours" I said beginning to get a little bit about her. "He ugh he wasn't my boyfriend" she said, "who was he?" I asked, "some asshole who thought he could keep me, I dated his brother a while back" she said, "so he was jus some random dude that hit you" Max asked, "yes and he kept me prisoner, I knew you were in Toronto and I took the risk so thank you" she said. "Sure, it is in my blood to help and I am just glad you are okay" Max said.
I on the other hand was still confused, "sorry but who is she?" I asked, "she was my first girlfriend" Max said. "I was a bitch of a girlfriend Max and I am so sorry, I should never have given you that ultimatum back then" she said. "Water under the bridge" Max said and I saw the look she gave him, when Aria walked in. "Hey babe" she said immediately going to him, Max kissed her and I noticed Lillia's face fall but no way would Max cheat on Aria. "Well let's get you to the bus stop and get you home" I said to her pulling her along. I knew Max would need to explain things to Aria, plus I wasn't going to give Lillia any excuses to do something stupid. I pulled her along, "thanks for letting me stay with you" she said, "I didn't have a choice, I would do anything for Max" I said, "is he your boyfriend or hers?" Lillia asked, "he is with Aria, Max and I are just friends" I said, she never questioned it further. "Talk to his dad okay he will help" I said, "I will and thanks" she said, she looked into the distance and hid. "What?" she said, "that is him he is here" she said, I looked at the man in the distance he was watching us. This was just great I knew putting her on a bus at this point was bad he would follow her. I also knew taking her back to school was risky he would follow is there, he started to walk towards us.
"Lillia run" I said as we ran the opposite direction I glanced back this man was also running awesome, I had my phone. I called the cops I mean I wasn't one yet and I wasn't going to risk my life for this girl. They were tracking my location and I knew they would come. I also texted Max and he told me he was coming. I didn't want him to but I couldn't stop him, I knew this guy was going to cream him if he saw him. Max would be in danger and I only prayed the cops arrived before Max, but of course Max was first can't rely on the cops. Max had Hunter, Adam and Aria with him strength in numbers I guess. The man caught up to us, "Lillia" he said, "no" she replied hiding behind Max, "you piece of shit" the man said directed at Max and before he could do anything the cops arrived. Callie was one of them and this made me smile I looked up to her too she was badass. We were safe for now and now Callie was involved I knew this man didn't stand a chance. It made me think of Riley I missed her and I hoped she was doing good in school. I made a note to call her, talk to my best friend see how she was doing.
