Reveal of the Lucky Bug and Black Cat
"Oh yeah, you're so done for now!" Izuku smiled, feeling that victory is in his hand.
"Not before I pull off my ultimate move to finish you off." Melissa grinned, already having a perfect plan in mind.
"Uh-oh, looks like she's not bluffing. Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
"No, you don't!" Izuku tried everything he could to prevent Melissa from defeating him, but in the end, he couldn't do anything.
"KO!" A voice said from the TV screen.
Yeah, the reason the three kids of soon-to-be UA High students were getting so excited in a fight was because they are currently playing a fighting video game, an old video game from the olden days of the era before Quirks appeared and it was one of the popular ones too that came from an anime show that was really popular during those times too.
They're currently in the Midoriya-Bakugo home where Melissa wanted to go hangout there for the day.
"Oh man, I thought I would beat you this time." Izuku sighed.
"Sorry, but when you play these video games as long as I have then you know that you're great with the controller." Melissa bragged a little while twirling the controller on her finger.
"It's okay, you still had fun and that's what important." Tsuyu said and kissed his cheek.
"Aw, you know just what to cheer me up with." Izuku smiled.
"(Oh boy, they might cuddle on the couch.)" Melissa thought chuckled.
But Melissa does feel a bit sad that Izuku and Tsuyu got together before she came along for the UA entrance exam, she has feelings for Izuku too and wanted to be his girlfriend only to come in too late when she came to Japan.
All she can do now is give support for their relationship even when she feels sad that she couldn't be with Izuku.
Meanwhile, Izuku couldn't help but think about that woman Marinette he met nine days ago when he was taking out the trash and remember what she said to him that night.
(Flashback)
"I have, and… I have been searching for you, Izuku Midoriya." Marinette said, mentioning his name without Izuku having to say it.
"Huh, how do you know my name?" Izuku asked shock.
"Let just say it has something to do with your power, but I can't say any more than that. Not until you get your result letter, if you are able to get into UA High School then I'll tell you a little more about myself." Marinette said as she walks away.
"Wait!" Izuku called out, but Marinette didn't stop until she was out of sight.
(Flashback End)
"(That woman, she sounds like she knows about me and perhaps more about my Quirk.)" Izuku thought looked at his hand.
"(I'm not really sure if I should trust someone I just met, yet I can feel my instincts are telling me that this woman can be trusted.)" Izuku thought hoped that nothing goes wrong.
"So Melissa, are you okay with hanging out with us and not work on your gadgets?" Tsuyu asked.
"It's fine, Uncle Might told me that I need to rest up my body from all that hard training and my brain from doing all the inventing. And what better way to relax than to hang out with my friends." Melissa smiled.
"Glad to know we met your relaxing expectations." Izuku smiled back.
"Oh, that was a load off." Juleka sighed in relief as she came to the group after a long trip to the bathroom.
"How is your stomach feeling?" Tsuyu asked.
"A little better now, sorry about that. I didn't think I would get a stomachache right when I'm hanging out with new friends after moving from another country. So embarrassing." Juleka chuckled nervously.
"Don't worry, that sort of thing can happen to anyone." Tsuyu said.
"Yeah, like how you pounced to the bathroom like a hungry tiger." Izuku commented with a little joke, the girls were not amused.
"Right, sorry." Izuku apologized, ducking his head into the couch.
"Oh yeah, I found this at the door when I came out." Juleka presented a red envelope with black polka dots with a seal on it.
"A mail for me?" Izuku asked.
"It was address to you." Juleka gave the ladybug envelope to Izuku.
"Maybe it's a fan mail." Melissa guessed.
"But how would he get a fan mail if he hasn't become a full-fledge hero yet unless he's some kind of YouTube celebrity." Juleka said.
"Nah, Izuku doesn't do much YouTube stuff like that." Tsuyu shook his head.
"But there was that one video I did with him hanging out with a bunch of other cats and all of them were chasing a red dot from a laser pointer." Melissa mentioned with a chuckle.
"Weren't you the one who was holding the laser pointer like you were trying to roast those cats alive?" Tsuyu asked bluntly.
"Sheesh, no need to make it sound like I hate cats." Melissa exclaimed a little.
Meanwhile, Izuku is more focused on the red and black envelope as he opens it up to pull out a letter that holds the reason of what this envelope was sent to him for.
His eyes widen upon reading through the whole letter and then gets up.
"Girls, I'm gonna go out for a while. This letter it's from someone I haven't seen in a long time, and it looks like she wants to meet up with me." Izuku informed.
"Aw, a friendship reunion, that sounds nice." Juleka complimented.
"Yeah, you three enjoy yourselves and try not to let any stampeding frogs come in." Izuku said the last part directly to Tsuyu.
"I have no regrets." Tsuyu said.
(Takoba Municipal Beach Park)
It's been a while since Izuku came to the beach, it was during the times when he had to help Melissa with her training while cleaning up the beach at the same time along with helping himself and Tsuyu with their own training.
But this time was different, he has come to the beach for a different reason and that is to meet someone he had only met recently.
"Where is she?" Izuku looked around trying to find the one who sent him the letter.
"You know, one should always have the sight to look everywhere at once then just what's in front of them." Marinette said, revealing herself laying on a beach towel and wearing a ladybug theme two-piece bikini. And right next to Izuku too.
"How did I not notice that?" Izuku asked himself.
"So, you being here means you got my letter." Marinette said as she sat up.
"Yeah, it was a little surprise that you left it at my house and finding you like this in Spring. Not that your bikini is "bugging" me in a way." Izuku said, admitting to himself that she looks cute.
"Says the cat boy who came here wearing a swimming short." Marinette gestured to Izuku's lower half wearing green and black swimming shorts.
"Just wanted to be prepare in case this was a beach party." Izuku shrugged.
"Sit down, there is a lot I wish to tell you and… you might be in for the shock of your life." Marinette patted on another beach towel next to hers.
Izuku doesn't know why, but he can tell that this girl is really being honest and friendly with her that makes him feel like this was familiar to him even though he doesn't know why.
He sat down on the beach towel and look toward the horizon.
"It's really beautiful, isn't it?" Marinette asked, smiling at the beautiful scenery.
"Yeah, makes you just wanna sit here all day and not have to worry about the bad things that are happening." Izuku nodded.
"But as heroes like us, we must always be willing to help those in need. To keep reaching out our hands to help and inspire them to do better." Marinette stated.
"Wow, that was deep." Izuku commented.
"I learned some wise words from my old mentor, and he was over a hundred years old, and I mean literally that old." Marinette mentioned her old master.
"Oh, wait! I haven't given you my name yet, should've done that from the start!" Marinette gasped of realization.
"Yeah, it was a little weird that you know my name and I don't know yours." Izuku chuckled.
"Well, a late introduction then. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, nice to meet you, again." Marinette revealed her name and hold out her hand to him.
"Please to meet you." Izuku took the hand and they shake.
"So, that master you mentioned, I didn't think anyone could live that long. Maybe a slow-aging Quirk." Izuku guessed.
"Nope, no Quirk or anything. He just the lifestyle that made him healthy enough to live that long." Marinette shook her head.
"The fuck?! That can actually happen!" Izuku was shocked to hear that.
"Yep, after all, I was his student two hundred years ago until he passed on a certain mantle to him." Marinette said.
"It's nice to be entrusted with important things, my friend is going through something similar like that." Izuku nodded, but it only took him five seconds to realize what the woman just said.
"Wait, you're two-fucking-hundred years old?!" Izuku gasped as he suddenly jumps away from her.
"That's right, I'm a living old relic from the pre-Quirk era." Marinette revealed with a sly grin.
"No way, I can't believe it… I'm actually meeting something someone who lives for two hundred years and from the era before Quirks even existed!" Izuku freaked out though in a good way.
"Yes, it's freaky cool and a little scary at the same time, but I think you should calm down your Cataclysm first." Marinette pointed at his hands that are glowing black and green.
"Oh shit, sorry! Sometimes, my Quirk does that whenever I get very emotional at times, but I've been learning to control it better." Izuku explained as he turns off his Quirk.
"I can tell, it must've been scary for you to have discovered that power the first time." Marinette could already tell that having the power of destruction is not a pretty thing.
"…You have no idea." Izuku hugged his legs, remembering the death of his father at his hands.
"Well, what would you say if I told you I know more about your Quirk than you know yourself and it was also power that existed before… In the pre-Quirk era?" Marinette asked, hinting as a reveal.
"Then I would say you're crazy… But I have a strong feeling that you're telling the truth, I don't know, it's like my instincts are feeling trustful to you." Izuku said.
"Well, prepare yourself because this is going to be a very big reveal to you." Marinette said as she stood up.
"First, there were heroes back then like today only it wasn't really an everyday job thing. Being a superhero back then was just protecting the citizens while keeping your hero identity a secret while trying to juggle that life with a normal life such as going to school and other things." Marinette mentioned.
"Wow, hero life seems a lot harder than the ones we have today." Izuku commented.
"It was, especially when you have to keep making up excuses just to get out in the middle of class when a villain is attacking Paris. You have no idea how it was hard for me back then." Marinette remembered the old days when she was just a high school student and a superhero.
"And not only that, but I didn't exactly have my own powers back then either. It was from a magical item that granted me powers." Marinette mentioned.
"No way!" Izuku was shocked with his mind being blown.
"That's right, I was chosen to hold the power of Ladybug of Creation and became a superhero known as…" Marinette paused for dramatic effort and taps on her ladybug pendant that changes her whole appearance into that of a superhero.
"The Miraculous Ladybug!" Marinette reintroduced herself as the hero of her days.
Now as Ladybug, she wears a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and a black collar/turtleneck. There is a yo-yo around her hips with a red string. On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are colored black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving.
"Whoa, that transformation sequence was so cool!" Izuku was amazed.
"Thank you, it used to be when I had the magical items, but now these days, I use this Support Gear to change into my costume." Marinette explained.
"I was the hero of Paris, protecting the people and helping them not get Akumatized. It's a thing that a supervillain from my time used his power to turn people's negative emotions turning them into villains to help him take mine and my partner's magic item." Marinette mentioned that as well.
"I'm only hearing about this Akumatizing villain, but I already don't like him." Izuku said with a glare.
"Yeah, my old partner who had the Miraculous of Destruction would agree with you on that." Marinette nodded.
"Oh, a dynamic duo! What powers did you have?" Izuku asked, getting very interested in the story.
"I still have my power today and allows me to create anything I deeply desire, but the main focus of the power is called Lucky Charm creates any object for me to solve any problems to use against a villain in any way possible, depending on the situation. It creates the perfect object to solve the current situation, though it is up to me to figure out how to utilize it." Marinette explained about her powers while spinning her yo-yo.
"And it all comes from that yo-yo?" Izuku asked.
"Yep, it's my main weapon and it changes into the item of Lucky Charm." Marinette smiled.
"So, it gives you random items to defeat the villains even though it may look pointless at the time. This has got to be a very powerful power to have if you are truly able to create anything like a battery that never runs out of power or an eraser that can eraser like glass." Izuku mumbled on while writing this down in his notebook.
"(Wow, didn't think he would be taking notes.)" Marinette thought surprised.
"So, you're very observant, huh?" Marinette commented.
"Oh, sorry, it's a habit that happens whenever I see or hear something that gets my attention." Izuku explained, feeling a little embarrassed.
"Well, you best pay attention to this one because… It involves your power." Marinette said as she sat down.
"My power… My Quirk?" Izuku asked in shock.
"That's right, I mentioned that I had a partner who also held the power of destruction, or as it was called… Cataclysm." Marinette revealed, looked a little sad.
Izuku let out a long gasp when hearing this and he fully realize that his power was something that used to be given as an item, but to gain at the age of four.
"You mean… My Quirk was originally from your old era?" Izuku asked, shock but still willing to listen.
"Yes, it belonged within a ring that house a Kawaii named Plagg. Kawaiis are magical and powerful creatures that have powers though can't exactly control those powers by themselves. It's why they have holders like me and my partners to help keep their powers in check. And the one who had Plagg was my partner, his name was Cat Noir." Marinette explained about the Kawaiis and mentioned Cat Noir.
"Cat Noir." Izuku started to feel something familiar and calm about that hero name.
"He must've been a good partner to you." Izuku said.
"He was. His name was Adrien Agreste, he was also my husband back in those days. But before all of that, we were just simply friends and didn't know we were Ladybug and Cat Noir even after we became a couple. He was everything to me, he was even with me when I made that wish that changed everything to our world that became what it is today." Marinette smiled, looking at the sky feeling like Adrein is still watching over her.
"Wish?" Izuku tilted his head a little.
"Yes, the Kawaii of my time who was the Creation named Tiki always believed that I would do the right thing. And sometimes, I ask myself if she was right in this case." Marinette mentioned her Kawaii.
"Hold on, are the Kawaiis still a thing?" Izuku asked.
"Not anymore." Marinette shook her head. Knowing this big reveal will be even more shocking to Izuku.
"In order to make a wish, one would have to use both the two Miraculous of Creation and Destruction together though it's not as simple as that sounds. For this wish power, there must be a price to pay such as to keep balance in the universe like say if you want a pineapple to taste like a hotdog then the hotdog would have to taste like a pineapple. That include if one wish to bring someone back from the dead, someone else must die in their place." Marinette explained the wish.
Izuku lean a little closer to Marinette knowing that he is about to get a big reveal of a lifetime.
"Izuku, the reason you have Cataclysm is because of a result from the wish I made 200 years ago. I'm the sole reason why most of world has powers, creation of Quirks was my doing." Marinette dropped the biggest truth bomb of all time that Izuku's jaws drop with his cat ears and tail shot up with his eyes widen so much that they could be as big as his head and almost like his eyes could pop out.
