Well.
I'm sorry for another disappointment, but as the title goes, this chapter is getting the Sea Devil treatment. In that I've lost all motivation for it, and really have no idea where I was even going with it in the first place.
Though, at least Sea Devil had an actual, dedicated ending chapter. This one just has an author's note that summarizes things in brief.
I had to go back and reread the latest chapter to remind myself of where I even was with this story, and try to remember where I was going with it, only for the author's note therein to literally tell me that even as far back as June 07, 2023, over a year ago, I had no idea what I was doing. It appears I was working some kind of Luke redemption arc, where he wasn't really on board with Kronos and the Titans but was still staying loyal to them on the grounds that they were the best shot he had at bringing down the Olympians and trying to change the world for the better.
And maybe some kind of Luke/Thalia romance.
And maybe some kind of romance between Bianca and Percy. I'm not sure.
Anyway, at the end of the day…I guess the story was going to follow the same standard plot as the books, only with about 100% less danger given the fact that Percy, Thalia, and Bianca are all experienced Voidwalkers, masters of their powers, and therefore easily capable of handling all the threats in the books based on the given power levels. Maybe I was going to work some kind of angle where Tea, short for Galatea, Percy's big sister in this story from Poseidon, created along with Bell, short for Bellerophon, as homages to the story Alleviate by ForFun100, was going to be the prophecy child given that she's a daughter of the Big Three and due to reach 16 before Percy, so maybe I had something brewing of a completely different story after all.
In any case, all lost now.
I leave the ultimate ending and direction of this story up to your own headcanons. Maybe Percy, Luke, Thalia, and Bianca all eventually teamed up to stop Kronos and they removed the Olympians from power and they made the world a better place after all. Maybe Thalia ended up joining Luke on the grounds that she wasn't going to let Percy get away with his massacre of her citizens back in the Empire when he obliterated Karnaca, nor his murder of her granddaughter in the Tower, and with Zeus standing in her way of rendering justice, she elected to remove her father.
Then maybe that could've been the sequel. Percy escapes from Thalia and Luke, and then Gaea pops up, offering her help if Thalia helped her do…something. IDK, with the Olympians deposed there really isn't a reason for Gaea to "rise," unless you wanted to work the genocide route of her wanting to kill mankind and take back her planet.
Somewhere in there I spoke about Poseidon getting Hephaestus to make an automaton body for Sally so she could have her own life again, instead of being stuck as Percy's heart. It's up to you to decide whether that actually ever happened, or if Sally remained as Percy's heart, constantly feeding him inside information about everyone and everything around him.
So…yeah. I'm very sorry to all the people that were fans of this story and were really hoping for a better sendoff than this. Unfortunately, I lost all motivation and vision for this one, and my sights are now firmly set on other projects.
There is a poll that will last till August 16 on which story to begin first. Chaos War or Dragon Princess.
