~~∞∞Ω∞∞~~ Chapter 4 ~~∞∞Ω∞∞~~
Thorin opened his eyes the next morning when he heard snickering and looked around to find his nephews snickering at him, Balin with a twinkle in his eyes and Dwalin just smirking. Thorin frowned before looking beside him and saw Bilbo has his paw on Thorin's arm and his headed turned away from the door making it hidden behind him. Thorin sighed and carefully slid his arm from under Bilbo's paw and stood. He heard the faintest whimper before it disappeared but thankfully no one else heard it.
"Go get breakfast ready."
"Sure uncle." The two snickered and Thorin glared at them.
"Not a word." Thorin said after them before glaring at Dwalin and Balin.
"Now laddie, you can't expect to have us leave this be?"
"I do."
"Well not happening." Dwalin said. "So why are you getting friendly with our warg shifter?"
"He had a nightmare. I woke him up and he told me about it. I caused it. So, I stayed with him and he tempted me to sleep."
Bilbo shifted and lifted his head and yawned. His mouth opened wide and it made Thorin and Dwalin flinch and almost moved their arm towards their weapons. Bilbo moved again and laid his head on his legs and looked at them.
"Morning Mister Boggins." Kili said, having come back in as breakfast wasn't ready yet.
"Morning Fili."
"I'm Kili."
"And my name is Baggins not Boggins."
Fili laughed as Kili pouted and nodded slowly. Thorin moved over to Dwalin and started talking quietly in Khuzdûl. Bilbo stood and shook his body before stretching slightly.
"Careful laddie." Oin said. "Last thing you want is to rip open your wounds."
"It's fine Oin. They are better. I'm healing rather well. My leg is going to be the one that will take longer." Bilbo said as he sat down.
"Still just take it easy because you won't be able to once we leave here."
"When do you think that is?"
"Well…" Oin started.
"When you have healed." Thorin said coming back over.
"Thorin I have already told you if you need to leave today I will be fine to do so. Don't delay for my sake. I'm fine."
"We are staying here till you are healed or unless there is a threat."
"Threat?"
"Don't worry about that."
The door opened, and everyone looked over to see Bombur, Bofur and Ori walking in carrying bowls. Ori was carrying a slightly larger one and sat it in front of Bilbo. Thorin took the offered bowl from Bofur who handed another to Dwalin while the two Bombur was holding went to Fili and Kili.
"Morning Bilbo." Bofur said.
"Morning. Thankyou for breakfast."
"How are you feeling?" Ori asked standing beside Bilbo.
"I'm feeling better. Don't worry." Bilbo nudged Ori in the stomach with his snout. "Go eat."
"How do you know I haven't already?"
"Because I don't see any of you eating before you've given Thorin his meal." Bilbo said just to Ori.
"That is true."
"Go eat. All of you." Bilbo said.
Bofur had come back in with another couple of bowls to give to Balin and Oin. Bofur left the door open and Bilbo could see that the dwarves were sitting around right outside the door and Bilbo was grateful for the door being open. The cool breeze was drifting in and it felt really nice on his warm body.
"Bilbo eat." Fili said making Bilbo looked to them to see the two brothers watching him.
Bilbo realized everyone was eating and he was just sitting there staring out the door. Bilbo leaned down and started eating.

Bilbo spent the day curled up in room with company. The dwarves would rotate through so that Bilbo didn't get bored and so that the dwarves themselves didn't get restless. It was late in the evening and Bilbo was wondering where Thorin and Balin were. According to Dwalin they were both called aside by Elrond and Gandalf, so the dwarves assumed it had to do with the map.
Bilbo was almost asleep when the door opened quietly and harsh whispers met his ears. Bilbo opened his eyes to see Balin and Thorin standing by the closed door talking in Khuzdûl. Bilbo saw Thorin looking at the map and he knew what they were talking about.
"We need to leave soon Thorin. We can't delay."
"I know."
"When shall we leave?"
"Tomorrow." Bilbo spoke up for them causing them both too jump before looking to him. "Don't argue with me. Obviously, you know something and with the way you both were talking its important. If you need to leave soon than we shall."
"We shall leave in two days. The company deserve rest and we need to gather supplies."
"Then gather the supplies tomorrow and we can leave around midday." Bilbo said but Thorin shook his head.
"We shall gather the supplies tomorrow and leave the morning after. That is my final decision."
Bilbo sighed but nodded, not bothering to argue with stubborn dwarves. Balin walked over to his bedroll beside Dwalin before laying down to sleep. Thorin walked over to his bedroll that was back by his pack and laid down and just stared at the map where the moon runes were.
"Thorin get some sleep. You need it."
"I'm fine Master Baggins."
"Sure you are, get some sleep. Here you can at least relax but when we leave you won't be."
Thorin folded the map back and placed it with the key safely inside his shirt pocket for safe keeping. Bilbo watched as Thorin rolled over and had his back to him before hearing his breathing even out a few minutes later.

Bilbo watched as the company packed the supplies that were given to them by the elves into their packs the next day. Bilbo had spent the day once again sitting in the room with dwarves rotating out as they were needed.
It was late in the evening when Bilbo shivered feeling something brush his mind. Bilbo sat up, spooked and looked out the door trying to figure out what was happening. Fili and Kili watched Bilbo as he suddenly stopped talking to them, then shivered and sat up abruptly and stared out the door.
"Bilbo?" Kili asked concerned.
"You seem troubled young hobbit." A female voice spoke to him.
"Who are you? How can you speak to me?"
"I have many talents. I am Galadriel. It is best when you leave, to leave as a Hobbit and be quick."
"How? I am chained to the wall and I can't shift back with these elven chains around me."
"The dwarves will be able to release you. Get out of here before the moon is high in the sky. Gandalf will meet you all in the mountains."
Bilbo felt the presence leave his mind and when his eyes focused back he saw Fili and Kili knelt in front of him with Thorin, Dwalin and Balin hurrying over.
"Bilbo are you ok? What's wrong?" Fili asked.
"We need to leave. Now."
"What are you talking about?" Thorin asked.
"I was speaking with someone who told me it was best we leave before the moon is high in the sky."
"We are better off leaving in the morning." Thorin said.
"Thorin please listen to me. I don't know why but this lady could read my mind and connect to my mind without seeing me or me starting the conversation. I think we should trust what she says."
Thorin looked to Balin who just shrugged his shoulders not sure what they should do. Bilbo watched as Thorin looked out the door to the dwarves who were gathered by the door.
"Are we ready to leave now?" Thorin asked.
"We have everything we need. We would just have to pack our bed rolls." Bofur said.
"Then get going. We leave now. Keep quiet about it."
Bilbo nodded his head when Thorin looked back to him. Thorin stepped closer and grasped the chain around Bilbo's neck. Bilbo lowered his head slightly so Thorin could get a better look at it.
"Dwalin get Nori in here." Dwalin walked out and called Nori in who came in and stood beside Thorin. "We need to get this off."
"No problem. Bilbo do you mind laying down?"
Bilbo shifted around and laid down and Nori knelt in close and pulled out a few tools from his clothes and started fiddling with the locks. Bilbo heard a click and looked at Nori who smiled and unwrapped the chain from around Bilbo's neck. Bilbo stood and shook his body enjoying the feeling of the elven magic not flowing around him.
"We shall leave the room for a moment and let you change." Thorin said and placed Bilbo's pack down beside him.
"Thankyou. I'll just put some pants on then you can come back in. We need to leave quickly."
The dwarves left the room and Bilbo quickly changed and grabbed his pack and pulled out some pants and quickly slid into them. Bilbo then called out so they could come back in. Fili and Kili were the first in and stopped short seeing the large cut down Bilbo's front. It had healed really well like Bilbo said it would. All that was left was a thin scab down Bilbo's front. Bilbo looked up hearing grumbling and saw that it was the dwarves behind Fili and Kili as they were still just staring at him.
"Fili? Kili? What is it?"
Both shook their heads and moved to their packs and finished packing up. Bilbo looked at Thorin who was watching the two brothers before he grabbed his things and moved over to Bilbo.
"Here." Bilbo looked at Thorin to see him handing his sword to him. "Though I may not like you having a weapon I'm not going to leave you unarmed. You can't keep changing each time we are in danger."
"No I can't, or we would need to find me new clothes soon. I only have a few left."
"I would suggest you try and take at least some clothes off if you can. If not than we can figure something out when the time comes."
Bilbo nodded and put on his shirt, waist coat and jacket before securing the sword to his waist and putting on his pack. Thorin was already outside before he was done and the only ones left were Fili, Kili and Balin who were waiting for him.
"What is it?"
"Let us know if we are going too quickly for you laddie. You shouldn't stretch that leg too much."
"Its fine Balin, but if it starts hurting I'll let you know."
"Very good. We best get going."
Bilbo nodded and followed the three out to see the rest of the company ready to go. There were no elves around, so the dwarves quickly and quietly made their way out of Rivendell and into the mountains. They were thankfully close to where the path was that they were going to take so there was no reason to have to go back through the more populated areas of Rivendell.
