Max has tried and failed to find a timeline that allows her to save Chloe and prevent the storm. Maxine, a time-manipulating entity, always finds a way to impede Max's plans. Max takes a risky gamble in the hopes of buying herself enough time to achieve her desired timeline; in order to do this, she needs a message delivered, and somebody to deliver it.

Having sacrificed Chloe, Max resolves to try and move forward with her life and honour the loss of the person she cared most about. Rated T - Occasional strong language and references. UPDATE 5th June 2024 - I've made the difficult decision to end this story after Chapter 23. Although the story still won't be fully complete, it will at least end on what I feel is a good note.
