Virtue and venom: Chapter 51
With Naruto
Naruto was fighting the Deva path with some difficulty as he and his clones were getting pushed back both figuratively and literally as half of his 100 clones have been destroyed. Naruto went through hand signs before stopping on the last one.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough" Naruto fired a wind jutsu at the Deva path; the Deva path jumped backwards in order to dodge the jutsu but in doing so it jumped towards several of Naruto's clones.
The clones all charged in with their trench knives and began to attack the Deva path; the Deva path landed on the ground and spun around and began to engage the clones. The Deva path blocked an attack from 2 of the clones using it's chakra rods to block the trench knives; the Deva path kicked one of the clones away and used it's free chakra rod to stab the other one dispelling it.
The Deva path threw the chakra rod towards the clone it just kicked away and the chakra rod at the clone; the Deva path pointed it's arms at the chakra rod and spoke "All mighty push". The chakra rod flew fast through the air and it pierced the clone; the chakra rod went through another 4 clones before stopping when it hit a brick wall.
The Deva path heard the sound of something behind it and it spun around to see Naruto with a rasengan in his hand "Rasengan" Naruto shouted as he aimed the jutsu at the Deva paths chest. The Deva path dodged to the side and put it's hand on Naruto's chest.
"All Mighty Push" The Deva path said; Naruto was sent flying backwards from the jutsu and several of his clones saw this and ran over. 6 clones got into a line and caught Naruto as he crashed into them; the clones dispelled and Naruto flew past them and followed across the ground a few times.
Naruto coughed and was slowly getting back up and looked at the Deva path who was charging towards him "damn it" Naruto said as he made another hand sign "Shadow clone jutsu". Naruto created another 100 clones and looked at the Deva path "Ok you bastard; time for round goddamn two" Naruto shouted as he and his clones charged the Deva path.
With Hiruzen
Hiruzen swung his staff at the Preta path and the Preta path ducked under the staff and went towards Hiruzen to grab him; the Preta path grabbed onto his arm and Hiruzen began to feel his chakra begin to drain.
Hiruzen quickly brought up his foot and kicked the Preta path in it's face making it stumble back; Hiruzen swung his staff toward the Preta path once more and was able to hit it in the left arm.
The Preta paths left arm was broken off before it went flying through the air; the Preta path crashed into a nearby building and Hiruzen began to go through hand signs 'Fire Style: Majestic flame technique'.
Hiruzen fired a stream of fire into the building the Preta path flew into; Hiruzen got into a defensive stance and waited for it to come back out.
"Lord Third" came a shout and Hiruzen looked to the side and saw 3 chunin running towards him "are you ok" Hiruzen went wide eyed and shouted.
"Leave, don't come-" Hiruzen began but was too late; the Preta path jumped through the roof of the building smoking from it's cloths burning and landed in front of the 3 chunin. The Preta path spun around and kicked one of the chunin in the head breaking his neck.
One of the other chunin took out a kunai and attempted to stab the Preta path but it caught his hand and disarmed him; the chunin dropped the kunai and the Preta path caught it and stabbed it into his neck killing him.
The last chunin attempted to throw a punch but the Preta path grabbed him by the neck and sucked out his chakra in a matter of seconds; the Preta path turned towards Hiruzen while holding the dead chunin and saw Hiruzen was fuming in rage.
Hiruzen saw how in the span of a few seconds 3 lives were snuffed out and he wanted to kill the Preta path; Hiruzen took out 5 shuriken and threw them before going through hand signs.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu" Hiruzen shouted and the shuriken began to multiply as the 5 shuriken turned into 50; the Preta path used the chunins body in front of it to use it as a shield. The shuriken hit the dead body protecting the Preta path and the Preta path threw it to the side as Hiruzen once more clenched his staff.
"You're going to pay for that; I swear it" Hiruzen shouted as the Preta path looked at him dully; Hiruzen charged the Preta path as it stood still as his battle continued.
With Gaara
Gaara was fighting the Asura path which so far was proving to be an even harder opponent that he anticipated; the Asura path ditched it's cloak a while ago revealing it's horrific body. The Asura path had a head with 3 faces, a tail which was a large serrated blade and six arms in total.
'And I thought I'd seen everything' Gaara thought as he sent a wave of sand towards the Asura path; the Asura path seeing this sent it's tailed toward the wave of sand and hit it. The wave of sand fell apart and to the ground and Gaara called it back towards himself.
The Asura path rushed forward and Gaara got ready for it's attack; the Asura path launched it's right arm at Gaara using a cable to control it. Gaara seeing this dodged to the side as the arm flew by him; the Asura path used this as an opportunity and sent it's tail towards Gaara.
Gaara formed a sand wall in front of himself to protect him from the blade; the tail hit the sand wall and was stopped.
"Sand spikes" Gaara shouted as his sand wall turned into sand spikes and knocked the Asura path back several feet; the Asura path regained it's footing and looked at Gaara. The Asura path opened it's chest and revealed several tubes making Gaara curious; the Asura path then proceeded to fire several missiles at Gaara who entered wide eyed.
"Kami above" Gaara shouted as he used his sand to make a path along a row of buildings; Gaara hopped on the path and slid along it as the missiles began to hit where he was just at. The first missile exploded while the others began to follow him; Gaara continued along the sand as the buildings behind him exploded.
The last missile landed close and hit behind Gaara sending him to the ground; Gaara hit the ground and was dazed as the Asura path charged in and sent it's tail towards Gaara. Gaara was about to defend himself when something landed in front of him.
"Twin Lion Fists" Hinata shouted as she used her most powerful technique to knock the tail away before charing in; Hinata used her other hand to hit the Asura path in the abdomen sending it skidding back. The attack did some damage but not a lot and Gaara looked to Hinata and spoke.
"What are you doing here Hinata" Gaara said surprised.
"I-I couldn't let you fight alone" Hinata said to Gaara "I-I'm your wife; it's as much my duty to support and protect you just like how you protect me"; Gaara smiled as he stood up and reformed his sand.
"I can't disagree with you there" Gaara said "lets finish this abomination together".
With Kakashi, Danzo and Torune
Kakashi and Danzo charged towards Madara with their kunais drawn and their sharingan blazing; Kakashi had his kunai covered in a raikiri and Danzo had his covered in wind chakra.
Kakashi made it to Madara first and and sent a slash towards the masked man; Madara dodge the attack and Kakashi pressed on as he made Madara fall back. Kakashi sent several more slashed and Madara dodged them before Kakashi sent a stab.
Madara caught the arm and used his other arm to deliver a hard uppercut and Kakashi felt his jaw crack from the force of the blow as he stumbled back; Madara wanted to continue the attack but Danzo closed the distance and slashed at Madara with his wind covered kunai.
Madara attempted to phase the kunai through him but Kakashi was able to used his sharingan to stop him and Madara had to dodge; Madara dodged but was still cut across his chest by Danzo and his kunai.
Danzo sent several more slashed towards Madara but Madara was able to use his ability to phase through Danzo's attacks; Madara used his ability to get behind Danzo and grabbed him by the head.
With a powerful pull Madara snapped Danzo's neck before jumping far away; when Madara landed he turned and saw Danzo standing there with another sharingan gone as he used Izanagi again.
Torune seeing this made a hand sign and his skin started turning purple; Madara turned to see this and Torune pointed his hands and Madara and his insects started to appear in a cloud.
"Poison cloud Jutsu" Torune shouted as a cloud of poison went towards Madara; Madara used his ability to phase through the attack but he knew that he must end it quickly since his jutsu doesn't last as long as the poison cloud.
Madara began to go through hand signs "Fire Style: Fireball jutsu"; Madara broke off a piece of his mask showing his mouth and fired a large fire ball towards Torune. Torune jumped out of the way to avoid the fire ball and landed a few yards away.
Madara used this temporary distraction to Kamui behind him and he grabbed Torune's sword from his back; Torune didn't turn around as he made a hand sign releasing more poison as Madara swung his sword.
Torune was decapitated but in that split moment his poison was able to get to Madara before he could phase through.
'Damn it' Madara thought as he jumped back and began to feel a little numb 'I wasn't fast enough' he thought as he began to sway from side to side.
Danzo scowled at this as now Torune was dead, but due to his sacrifice Madara was now poisoned; he wasn't sure how long or if it'll kill him but he wasn't going to let Torune's sacrifice be in vain.
"Kakashi, he's poisoned" Danzo said as he took out another kunai and covered it in wind chakra "he's on his last legs; you need to get me in there so I can finish this". Kakashi hearing this went wide eyed.
"B-but you said that's out last resort" Kakashi said and Danzo looked at him.
"This is for the village" Danzo shouted "If it means killing him… I'll carry that burden"; Danzo looked to Kakashi and spoke once more. "We prepared for this" Danzo said and Kakashi nodded.
"Yes sir" Kakashi said as he got ready once more; Kakashi went through hand signs and slammed his hands onto the ground "Earth Style: Earth dragon". A head of a dragon made of earth popped out of the ground and shot a torrent of lava at Madara who jumped out for the way as he and Danzo began their assault.
With Hiruzen
Hiruzen dodged a punch from the Preta path and spun around sending a rising strike towards it; the Preta path blocked the staff with it's leg before jumping up and sending a spin kick towards Hiruzen.
Hiruzen was hit across the face and sent to the ground where the Preta path got on top of him and put it's hands on him again to drain his chakra; Hiruzen felt his chakra being drained at a fast pace as his vision began to darken and he began to get more labored. With his strength waiting Hiruzen mustered enough to shout.
"Enma" Hiruzen said and the staff turned into the monkey king; Enma tackled the Preta path of of Hiruzen who was starting to feel fatigued. Enma began to beat the Preta path as the Preta path tried to fight him off.
Enma through another punch and the Preta path grabbed onto his arm and began to suck his chakra out; Enma tried to fight it but felt his chakra being drained.
"Hiruzen my friend" Enma said as he beat the Preta path trying to escape "hit me with this thing; I can take it"; Enma held the Preta path close and looked to Hiruzen who was getting up on shaky legs.
Hiruzen nodded and went through hand signs "Fire Style: Burning ash" he shouted; Hiruzen blew a large cloud of ash towards the Preta path and Enma. The cloud covered the both of them and Hiruzen bit down sending a spark igniting it.
The result was a massive explosion and fire engulfing both Enma and the Preta path; after a few second Enma appeared burned and wounded as the Preta path was incinerated from the jutsu.
"W-we did it" Enma said looking at Hiruzen; Hiruzen wasn't looking to good and a second later Hiruzen clenched his chest and Enma went wide eyed "Hiruzen". Enma ran over and Hiruzen fell backwards against a wall clenching his heart.
"I-I think I used up the last bit of my chakra" Hiruzen said as he began to breath heavily; suddenly Hiruzen started to chuckle "hehehe… well what do you expect from an old man past his prime".
"Don't say that Hiruzen" Enma said and Hiruzen scoffed.
"I-I pushed to far" Hiruzen said as his vision began to fade "b-but… this… this is how it should be". "A fitting end… for a… shinobi…". Hiruzen took several more breaths as he looked up at the sky 'N-Naruto… take care of the village… for this old fool' he thought before his mind drifted back to Orochimaru 'you too… my wayward apprentice'.
Hiruzen let out a breath and Enma looked on in sadness; Hiruzen: the god of shinobi, an old man in a profession where men die young, let out his last breath. Hiruzen's eyes were open and had a smile on his face; Enma clenched his fists before reaching up and closing his eyes.
"Goodbye… old friend" Enma said before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
Hiruzen laid against the wall alone as the battle for Konoha raged around him and as the charred remains of the Preta path smoked just a few feet away.
With Gaara and Hinata
The Asura path fired a volley of missiles at both Hinata and Gaara; Gaara put up a sand wall in front of both him and Hinata as the missiles neared and exploded rocking the entire area.
Hinata immediately ran out from behind the wall and charged forward; the Asura path sent it's tail towards her as she came closer. Hinata dodged the tail and aimed her hand at the Asura path.
"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm" Hinata fired a powerful wind blast towards the Asura path; the Asura path couldn't move in time and was sent flying backwards. Gaara seeing that Hinata had hit the path attacked using the opportunity she created.
Gaara sent a wave of sand towards the Asura path as it landed and refocused; Gaara began to wrap his sand around the path in order to crush it. The Asura path however opened it's head surprising both Gaara and Hinata and began to charge up.
The Asura path fired a laser from it's head towards Gaara who jumped out of the way at the last minute and began to follow him; Gaara closed his fist and shouted "Sand Burial". Gaara's sand crushed the Asura's path left side breaking it off.
The Asura path jumped to the side now missing it's left arms and it's abdomen and legs exposed; the Asura path kept on following Gaara with the laser in an attempt to hit him. Hinata seeing this charged the path and created 2 more twin lion fists as her hands blades to life with chakra.
Hinata closed the distance in little time and the Asura path sent it's tail towards her; Hinata tried to dodge but was hit by the blade giving her a cut on her shoulder but still kept going. Hinata sent the first strike towards the Asura paths abdomen before sending the other in a uppercut.
Hinata knocked the Asura's paths head up making the laser stop following Gaara and Gaara got ready to retaliate "Hinata move" Gaara shouted and Hinata jumped out of the way. Gaara made several sand shuriken and launched them towards the Asura path.
The Sand Shuriken hit the Asura path knocking it back and giving Gaara an opening; Gaara put both of his hands together and sent a massive wave of sand towards it. The Asura path looked on as the wave of sand came down on it.
"Sand coffin" Gaara said as he raised both of his hands before slamming them down on the sand "Crushing Sand Funeral"; all at once the sand compressed everything and held it with tremendous force. Hinata got into her taijutsu stance and Gaara recalled his sand.
As the sand moved both Gaara and Hinata saw the Asura path on the ground crushed to pieces and no longer moving; Gaara reformed his sand gourd and walked over to Hinata.
"Hinata; you're injured" Gaara said as he looked at Hinata's wound; Hinata looked at the gash in her arm and smiled. Hinata grabbed onto Gaara's hand and spoke.
"I'll live" Hinata said and Gaara nodded before reaching into his pouch and taking out a small medical kit.
"Let me bandage it" Gaara said and Hinata nodded as she took off her jacket and let Gaara patch her up; as soon as Gaara was done he looked to Hinata and spoke. "Lets go and find Lady Tsunade; she may require our assistance" he said and Hinata nodded.
"Ok, lets go" Hinata said with a smile; both Gaara and Hinata ran off leaving the destroyed Asura path behind.
With Kakashi and Danzo
Danzo slashed at Madara slashing at him with his wind covered kunai and Madara simply dodged it before sending a flurry of punches and kicks towards him; Madara's punches and kicks overpowered Danzo and Madara sent an especially powerful kick sending him back.
Madara went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu' Madara fired a fire ball at him and Danzo was hit dead on. However Danzo appeared a few feet away as he once again used Izanagi to avoid death and losing another sharingan. Kakashi seeing this went in to provide Danzo some back up.
Kakashi charged Madara with his kunai crackling with lightning and slashed at him; Madara put his arm up and caught Kakashi's arm. Madara knocked the kunai out of Kakashi's hand and proceeded to punch him in the face.
Kakashi was dazed by this but recovered quickly and countered with a kick to Madara's abdomen sending him stumbling back. Danzo charged in from behind and slashed at Madara with his wind covered kunai with his attack going right through him; Madara sent an elbow into Danzo's face breaking his nose and Dazing the old man.
Madara sent a mule kick towards Danzo hitting him in the gut making him cough up more blood; as soon as he did that Kakashi took out several shuriken and charged them with lighting chakra.
Kakashi threw the lighting covered shuriken at Madara while using his Kamui in order to make sure he doesn't phase through it; Madara pulled out a kunai in order to block the shuriken but Danzo who was still behind Madara smirked.
'Got you' Danzo thought as he took a breath and ripped open his robe revealing his chest "Reverse Four Symbol Sealing" he shouted and Madara went wide eyed. Danzo's blood began to shoot out of his body forming a pool under him; Madara was to close to avoid it and couldn't use his Kamui to escape it.
"NO, YOU BASTARD" Madara shouted as he and Danzo were caught in a black sphere with 4 kanji on each side; Kakashi's shuriken hit Madara as the jutsu continued.
"Die with me" Danzo shouted as a the sphere formed and Madara attempted to run; the black sphere with both Madara and Danzo inside exploded and returned back to Danzo who fell backwards onto the ground.
Kakashi looked on and saw that Madara was gone and slowly approached Danzo; Kakashi looked at him and saw that Danzo was dead with a seal on his chest. Kakashi lowered his guard as he stared at Danzo's corpse.
Danzo sacrificed himself by sealing Madara into his own body at the cost of his life; Kakashi knew Danzo had to do it since Madara with his abilities would've killed him regardless. Kakashi knelt down next to Danzo and pulled out a scroll and opened it; Kakashi then began to pluck out the sharingan inside Danzo's arm and his eye gathering seven in total as 3 have been used by Danzo.
Kakashi sealed the Sharingan into the scroll and got back up; Kakashi went though hand signs and launched a simple fire jutsu at Danzo's corpse setting it on fire. As Kakashi looked on he destroyed not only Danzo but the proclaimed 'Madara' sealed inside him; Danzo's body burned to nothing and Kakashi said a silent prayed.
When he was done Kakashi had a moment to reflect on Danzo and his ultimate sacrifice.
'Better for him to die here I guess' Kakashi thought 'if he didn't then Sasuke most certainly would've killed him when this was over'; Kakashi turned around and began to rush out of the area in order to enter the fight inside the village.
With Naruto
The Deva path launched several chakra rods hitting and destroying the last of Naruto's clones making Naruto angry as once again his numbers were chopped to pieces. Naruto not wanting to waste any more chakra charged the Deva path who created 2 more chakra rods and Naruto closed the distance.
Naruto slashed at the Deva path with his trench knives and the Deva path dodged and used it's chakra rods to block and parry the oncoming blade strikes.
'Fucking hell' Naruto thought as he slashed agin before ending a kick which was blocked by the Deva path 'why is this so damn hard' Naruto thought as he jumped back.
Naruto in a quick moment remembered a technique he learned a long time ago and began charged up his trench knives; water began to rise from the ground and cover the trench knives and when they were ready Naruto swung.
"Water blades" Naruto shouted as he launched 2 blades of water at the Deva path; the Deva path barely even moved as it side stepped the 2 water blades before launching a volley of chakra rods at Naruto.
"Motherfucker" Naruto shouted as he jumped away before landing a couple yards away; as Naruto was wondering what his next move was going to be he heard a shout.
"Fire Style: Phoenix flower jutsu" Naruto turned and saw Sasuke as he launched several fire balls at the Deva path; the Deva path turned and sent an almighty push towards Sasuke and the fire balls.
Sasuke jumped out of the way and landed several yards away from Naruto "hey, loser; you haven't beaten this guy yet" Sasuke said taking a jab at Naruto "I beat mine in about fifteen minutes; what's your excuse".
Naruto was fuming and pointed at Sasuke "shut the fuck up; he's the toughest among them, cut me some slack" he shouted with a tic mark "if you're so sure, how about lending me a hand instead of giving me lip".
"Fine loser" Sasuke said as he pulled out his sword and Tanto "if I destroy it you owe me some onigiri".
"And if I destroy it you owe me ramen" Naruto shouted in return as he readied his trench knives.
Sasuke's sharingan activated and he spoke "you ready" Sasuke asked and Naruto nodded.
"Lets waste this dick" Naruto said.
