Note: We've officially departed from the movie plot line now. This is the adult Parent Trap. Buckle up for the ride!

Poor Harvey. I really did a number on him in this chapter. But, at least Paula isn't in this chapter!

I will get the next one up as soon as I can so that you have answers soon!

The next day, Donna, dressed in an electric blue dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, stepped off the elevator with Rachel beside her. She had never been intimidated by a law firm before, and she wasn't about to start with Pearson Specter Litt.

The pair looked like they belonged there. They turned heads as they walked the outer rim of the office floor, but no one said anything. At least, not until they reached Harvey's office and were stopped in their tracks by his secretary.

The older woman shot them an unimpressed glance before shaking her head. "Can I help you ladies?"

Luckily, Donna was quick on her feet and spotted the woman's name plate easily. "Hi, Gretchen. We're here to see Harvey."

"Do you have an appointment, red?"

"No, but we're old friends and it's a personal matter."

Gretchen glanced towards the glass walled office. "He's in a meeting. I don't see any appointments with two pretty women on his itinerary for today, so I'm afraid that I can't help you."

Donna wasn't deterred. She leaned over the desk and smiled sweetly. "Listen, can you just tell him that Donna's here to see him? It's important."

The secretary's eyes widened. "Ex-wife, Donna?"

Impressed, Donna stood up straight. "You've heard of me?"

"I've heard of everybody. That man hasn't left work for a personal lunch in two years, so when I saw it on his calendar last week, I knew it must be with somebody important." Gretchen pointed towards the office. "You ladies go right in."

Donna's face lit up in triumph. "You know what, I like you. We'll be friends," she insisted, as she pulled a stunned Rachel towards the office.

"Donna, that was awesome," whispered Rachel.

"I know," came her cocky response as she rapped once on the door. She didn't wait for an okay before strolling right in like she owned the place.

Harvey was behind his glass desk. The heavy pen that was in his right hand dropped onto the glass with a loud thunk when he noticed her. "Donna…"

Her response was smooth and precise. "Harvey." Whether it was his suit, his large office, or the dress that she had painstakingly chosen, Donna wasn't sure, but something had her feeling more confident than ever.

Harvey stood up and buttoned his jacket. "What are you doing here?"

"Wait, Donna? The Donna?" A younger man uttered from the corner of the office. She hadn't noticed him until now.

Donna eyed up his skinny tie and off the rack suit. "I guess I'm a legend around here." She then focused on her ex-husband, whose fingers were twitching at his sides. "Who's the kid?"

Harvey sighed. "This is Mike Ross, my associate." He motioned towards Mike with a nonchalant wave. "Mike, this is, uh, well…this is Donna."

She couldn't help but roll her eyes at his flustered introduction. "I'm his ex-wife and ex-secretary, but I prefer to be just Donna. It's a name and a title in one." She held out her hand for Mike to shake and when he did, she was impressed by his firm grasp.

Mike stared at her in wide-mouthed awe. After several silent seconds he blurted, "Harvey never said that you were this beautiful."

Donna's lips curled into a sly grin and she fluffed her hair. "A girl could get used to such flattery." She glanced towards Harvey, only to find that his dark eyes were drilling holes into Mike's head. It amused her. "Before I forget, this is my assistant, Rachel."

Mike immediately stepped forward to greet Rachel, which gave her a second to speak to Harvey. "We need to talk, and you didn't return my call or texts last night."

Harvey frowned. "You called?"

Donna crossed her arms. "I figured that your girlfriend wouldn't give you that piece of information."

His hands went to his pockets. "You spoke to Paula?"

"I did. She's lovely," Donna said, but her words didn't match her clipped tone.

Ignoring her comment, Harvey stepped away from the comfort of his desk and focused on his associate, who was already flirting with Rachel. "Mike, why don't you go show Rachel the partners' kitchen"

"The partners' kitchen?" came his incredulous question. "You must really be desperate to get rid of me."

Harvey didn't bother denying it. "I am."

While the men jabbed at each other, Donna walked around the room, taking in her surroundings. Harvey's eyes trailed her, she could feel them, but she pretended not to notice.

Eventually Mike and Rachel left and Harvey moved towards her. But, before either of them could say anything, a loud voice boomed throughout the hallway.

"Save it Gretchen. I'm going in there, and no one can stop me!"

Donna and Harvey turned at the same time to see Louis practically push his way into the office. He stopped abruptly when his eyes landed on her.

"So it is true. The legendary Donna Paulsen has returned to our humble place of business."

Harvey groaned. "What do you want, Louis?"

Donna interjected before he could answer. "Look at you, Mr. Name partner. I never thought I'd see the day."

"Well it would have happened sooner if Harvey here hadn't screwed me over at least a dozen times."

Harvey let out a disgruntled sigh. "Not this again, Louis."

"It's true and you know it!" Louis pointed a finger at him, but couldn't keep his eyes off of Donna. "But that's neither here nor there. Look at you. You're a glamazon. You know I've seen all your work. I still can't believe that they wrote you off of Sunset Beach. Andrea St. James didn't deserve to get thrown down that elevator shaft and I let the studio know it! I'm probably banned from their call list, but it was worth it. You were the best blind nurse with amnesia that anyone's ever seen and I stand by that."

Donna's eyes glistened with tears. It was good to see him again. She had only met him a dozen times before the divorce, but each time was unforgettable. "That's the best compliment I've ever received."

Louis beamed. "Well, there's plenty more where that came from. I already have tickets to opening night of your show."

Donna cocked her head in confusion. "You know about the play?"

"Know about it? It's been blowing up my Google alerts for months," Louis answered, as if it were the most logical explanation in the world.

Harvey gestured towards the door. "Louis, I really need to talk to Donna. Alone. Please get out."

The man hit him with a concerned frown. "Wait, you said please. What's going on?"

Harvey threw his hands into the air in impatience. "Nothing's going on! I just want to talk to my wife. Alone." Both Louis and Donna's eyes widened at his slip up, and he immediately shook his head. "Ex-wife. Whatever. Just go!"

Louis glared at Harvey. "Fine." Then he smiled at Donna. "I'll see you opening night. I hope you still like flowers, because I'm getting the biggest arrangement I can find."

Louis wasn't gone for more than a minute when Gretchen called out from her desk. "Mr. Specter, you've got an important call on line 2."

"What is this, grand central station?"

Donna watched the way he ran his hand over his tie and pulled at his collar. His openly flustered appearance left her feeling slightly guilty. Maybe catching him off guard had been a bad idea. "I can come back later," she offered. "If this is a bad time."

Even as he rubbed his temples, he refused to take her up on her suggestion. "No, let me get rid of whoever this is and then we can talk." He moved to his desk and picked up the phone, but when another female voice began to speak from the doorway, he slammed it back down.

"Harvey, you said you'd have those contracts on my desk by 9:30. Well, it's 10:00 and they aren't there. And, why's that annoying associate of yours playing footsie with someone in the kitchen instead of getting them to me?"

Donna's face blanched when she looked up to see Scottie come strolling into the office. Scottie had her mouth open to keep yelling, but she closed it when she noticed Donna. Soon, her face was white too.

For a few painful seconds, all three occupants of the room stared at each other until Harvey broke the tension. "I'll have Mike get them to you ASAP."

Donna tried to get her thoughts in order as her stomach lurched. Scottie was not to blame for their marriage troubles, but many of their fights revolved around her anyway. During their marriage, Harvey had chosen to spend time with Scottie over spending time with her. It still felt like a punch in the gut, even after all these years.

"Donna, I didn't know that you were back in the city."

Donna was quick to recover. She would rather die than let Scottie see her sweat. "I didn't know that you worked here, Dana."

Clearly nervous, Scottie ran a hand through her short dark hair. "It's a recent thing. There was this awful merger…and then Harvey owed me one…you know what? It's not important. I'm just gonna go…"

"I'll get those contracts to you," Harvey insisted, as Scottie fled the room faster than she had come.

Donna glanced up at him, attempting to read his stoic features, but it was no use. "That was a surprise." She kept her tone purposefully even. The last thing they needed was to reopen old wounds.

"This whole day has been one giant surprise," came his gruff response. "Do you think it's hot in here?" He pulled off his jacket and tossed it onto a nearby chair. "I'm sweating."

Donna's brows furrowed. "I don't think so, no."

"Mr. Specter," Gretchen called.

"Not now, Gretchen! Goddammit. Can I just get a minute?" He loosened the knot of his tie and pulled it away from his neck.

Donna frowned. "Are you okay? You don't look good."

Gretchen appeared in the doorway before he could answer. "Mr. Specter, Mrs. Folsom from the Walden School is still holding on line 2. She says it's urgent."

Donna narrowed her eyes as he stalked to his desk. "Why is Anna's school calling you? I didn't put you on their contact list."

Harvey's brown eyes found hers instantly as he picked up the phone. "Anna's school? Donna…that's Lizzie's school."

Donna's chest tightened as the events from the past few days swirled around her mind. Anna and Lizzie were at the same school. The girls know about each other. The truth hit her square in the chest. She took shallow breaths as she listened to Harvey's one sided conversation.

"What? No. That's impossible. You must be confused. I dropped Lizzie off myself. I watched her walk into the goddamn building, so you better check again! No, no I won't hold. I need answers, now!"

As Harvey's voice grew louder and louder, Donna's cell phone rang inside her designer bag. With shaky hands, she pulled it out, and didn't even look at the caller ID before answering. She already knew who it would be and had a hunch on what they would tell her.

Minutes later, they hung up their separate calls at the same time. "They can't find Lizzie," he snapped.

Donna's eyes filled with tears. "They can't find Anna, either."

"Donna," came his pleading tone. "They know, don't they?" His breathing sped up and he pulled at his collar again.

For a second, all she could do was nod. "They've got to be together." Donna fought down the urge to vomit as the reality of the situation caught up to her. On autopilot, she used her phone to call her daughter. "Shit. She's got her phone off."

Taking her lead, Harvey did the same thing and then cursed when he realized that Lizzie's phone was off too.

Noticing the sweat breaking out across his forehead, Donna's mind went from the girls to the man standing before her. "Harvey, are you okay?"

His eyes were glassy and unfocused. Instead of responding, he stumbled across the room and reached for a silver tumbler of water. The water splashed everywhere as he attempted to pour it into a glass with trembling hands.

"Harvey!" came her shout. She was at his side in seconds as his legs gave way and he crumbled onto the leather couch. "I'm calling 911." He was awake, but unable to respond.

Just then, Mike and Rachel stepped into the office. At the sight of his boss, Mike sped over. "What happened?"

"I think he's having a heart attack, I'm calling 911," Donna said, as she tried to make the call. It was hard to do. Her fingers felt heavy and slow. Her mind raced.

Mike looked at Harvey and then held out his hand. "No!" he insisted. "It's a panic attack…he's had them before."

Donna was dumbfounded. "He has?"

"Grab some water. He just needs to focus," insisted Mike.

Donna did as she was told and watched helpless as Mike talked Harvey into taking small sips. Time seemed to slow down, and eventually, so did his breathing.

When the worst was over, Harvey shrugged out of Mike's grasp and stood up on shaky legs. "We've gotta get down to the school."

"Woah! You need to sit down," insisted Mike.

"Like hell I do! Lizzie's missing."

Mike's blue eyes widened. "She's what?"

Donna glanced towards Rachel with furrowed brows. "Anna is too. The school just called both of us."

Rachel let out an audible gasp as she quickly understood what Mike didn't. "They've been going to the same school?"

"Wait, whose Anna?" Mike cut in. Harvey and Donna refused to meet his eyes so he turned to Rachel. "What am I missing?"

Seeing that her boss wasn't going to, Rachel quickly took charge. "It's a long story. I'll tell you on the way downstairs. Donna, I'll go back to the apartment in case she's there. Mike will go to Harvey's."

Grateful for her cool headed friend, Donna nodded in thanks. She couldn't think. Not with Harvey panicking and the girls missing. "We're heading down to the school. The police are already there." Harvey was still pale, but looked a little better. She met his gaze with a nod. For once they were on the same page. They had to find their children and there was no time to waste.
