F3: Welcome to chapter 10 of my Neptunia story. We left off at the sudden attack on Lastation and IF suddenly becominga CPU and she doesn't even know it yet. Neptunia is owned by Compile Heart and Idea Factory. With that said Let's Get Started.

Chapter 10: Discovery.

Back in Planeptune Neptune and Nepgear returned home to report back to Histoire about the sudden attack on Lastation and that while it had suffered damage the nation was still standing at the very least.

"I mean there were like monsters everywhere that it was hard to keep track of. And worse was that whenever one got struck down another would just appear out of nowhere. Like it was endless." Neptune said.

"Yeah. It was rather difficult to keep track of them all." Nepgear added.

Histoire hummed at this "I see. And what else happened?" She asked.

"Well... Noire and I were heading toward the center of the business district beating monsters along the way when suddenly they just all... vanished." Neptune said.

"Vanished?" Histoire questioned.

"Yeah like, poof, then they were gone. Then we found IF their passed out and took her to the hospital." Nepgear said.

"Is she alright? She wasn't injured was she?" Historie asked.

"Nope. She was just passed out and probably exhausted. Slept all of yesterday so they probably released her by now." Neptune said.

"I see. However I've been scouring the network and I found this that has been recieving a lot of comments." Histoire said and she played a video showing of this new goddess.

"Oh yeah. We've seen that video. Still saying that is a lot of power for one goddess." Neptune said.

"I agree. We don't know if this goddess could be an enemy in disguise." Histoire said worryingly.

"That would be a problem if this goddess does turn out to be an enemy. So do we need to monitor any activity that this goddess could be apart of." Nepgear replied.

"For now that would be the best course of action." Histoire said added as the two CPU's agreed.

=HDN=

Meanwhile in Lowee Blanc was currently taking a call from Noire reguarding the events of what had happened in Lastation.

"So you need some of my builders. I'm sure I can round some of them up to come over and assist with rebuilding the homes in your nation." Blanc said.

"That would be greatly appreciated Blanc. Though I'm still rather shocked that this even happened." Noire added.

"I agree. Something like this doesn't just appear out of nowhere. There has to be an explaination." Blanc said.

"Yeah I know that. Someone has to be behind this and I'm going to find out who. And when I do they are going to regret ever attacking Lastation." Noire said an angry look on her face.

"I'll have Mina send over some builders... if she doesn't hit me over the head with a frying pan first." Blanc said rubbing the top of her head.

"Why? Is everything okay with her?" Noire asked curiously.

"Well... C-Sha might know what's going on with her but she's keeping me in the dark about it. I mean this has been going on for about four months now and every single time it's something different going on with her." Blanc said.

"Such as?" Noire asked.

"Well just last week she completely flew off the handle and yelled at me and my sisters for no reason but then next thing I know she came back and was practically begging for me not to fire her. Then next she's full of energy and then she suddenly feels like she's drained. I swear its giving me whiplash." Blanc said.

"Uh huh? Has she had any recent questionable food choices?" Noire asked.

"Well... other than having a peanut butter and tuna sandwich. Why?" Blanc questioned.

Noire sighed "Blanc... I'm just going to tell you point blank okay. You said this has been going on for about four months correct and her mood keeps flip flopping right and having strange food combinations. Their is only one conclusion." Noire stated.

"And that would be what?" Blanc questioned.

"She's pregnant." Noire simply said. Blanc said nothing at first before finally taking it all in as she realized that what Noire was saying could be possible.

"WHAT!? Then why didn't she tell me?!" Blanc shouted.

"You'd probably be mad at her just like you are now. Just try and approach her calmly so you don't scare her. That's something you don't want to do." Noire suggested.

"I'll talk to her. I'll send you the builders to Lastation and give them their orders." Blanc replied as she hung up on Noire rather surprised at the news. Her oracle pregnant... that was certainly a big curveball she wasn't expecting so for now she decided to go find Mina and talk with her hopefully she's in the mood to talk.

Thankfully she wasn't too hard to find as Mina was currently sitting in the living room in a chair chewing on some celery sticks with a content look on her face. Blanc actually got a better look at Mina and she could now tell that their is a slight bulge on her stomach which would confirm what Noire was saying.

Blanc took in a breath before walking toward her oracle.

"Mina can we talk a moment?" Blanc asked.

Mina looked up at her and thankfully for Blanc she seemed to be in a good mood as she smiled at her as she got up from her chair.

"Of course. Is their something you need Lady Blanc?" Mina asked.

"Um... first sit down a moment." Blanc said as Mina sat back down while Blanc sat across from her.

"First I would like to say... why didn't you tell me sooner?" Blanc said which confused Mina a moment.

"Tell you what exactly?" MIna asked not sure what she meant.

"About you being pregnant." Blanc answered which made Mina freeze on the spot like she had been caught.

"First, before you say anything I'm not mad just a little surprised is all. Second... who's the father?" Blanc asked.

Mina looked away a moment like she was trying to hide something from her.

"Um... I really don't know." Mina said nervously.

This made Blanc stare at her confused "You don't know or you don't know." Blanc emphasized.

Mina let in a breath before letting it out slowly "Okay... but please try and not be angry with me please." Mina said almost sounding like she was begging as Blanc nodded.

"Well... remember when you released that new console a few months back that we had a celebration about its success." Mina started.

"Yeah. The whole nation celebrated it. Why you ask?" Blanc questioned.

"Well... I may or may not had too much to drink and... slept with someone that night." Mina said nervously waiting for Blanc's reaction.

Outside of Lowee everyone was enjoying their day as the citizens couldn't possibly be interrupted by anything.

"WHAT!" A very loud booming voice shouted spreading throughout the nation.

Back inside the bascilicom Mina covered her ears after the loud shouting Blanc did.

"How irresponsible can you be!? You slept with a guy that you didn't even know and now you're pregnant because of it! And worse is that you don't even know who this guy is!" Blanc shouted.

Mina looked like she was going to cry any second as she had tears in her eyes.

"I know I know I'm deeply sorry Lady Blanc! I know it was irresponsible of me to do that and now I have to live with what I done! I'm just a stupid, pathetic oracle that shouldn't be called an oracle!" Mina cried as she completely balled her eyes out in front of Blanc.

Blanc couldn't believe what was happened but instead of raising her voice again she decided to solve this in a different matter.

"Okay... Mina. This is an easy solution that I can solve." Blanc started.

"Here is comes. She going to fire me." Mina thought as she wiped away her tears or at least trying to.

"As of effective immediately... you are on maternity leave." Blanc said completely surprising Mina.

"Huh? But... aren't you angry at what I did?' Mina asked.

"Oh I am but I also know that it won't solve anything. So for now I'm putting you on leave with pay until I say you can come back. Also I'll arrange for someone to keep an eye on you and your progress. Does that sound fair." Blanc said.

Almost instantly Mina jumped up and gave her a bone crushing embrace.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Mina cheered hold Blanc.

"Mina... spine... breaking... air." Blanc wheezed as Mina realized this and let her go as the goddess dropping to the ground.

"I'm sorry I guess I don't know my own strength. I'll pack right away." Mina said as she walked away to pack her things as Blanc picked herself up from the ground.

"I think she broke a rib or something." She wheezed as she had a call to make.

Kaito and IF returned home after the incident although Kaito was being rather insident that IF take's it easy for a bit.

"I'm just saying after an experiance like that you should rest for a bit. C-Sha and the others can handle jobs for a while till you feel ready to go back." Kaito suggested.

"Alright. I have been pushing it lately. So a chance to settle down a bit would be helpful." IF said as she headed upstairs to go take herself a nap. Just as she went upstairs Kaito's phone rang.

He looked at it and saw that it was Blanc calling him as he answered it.

"Lady Blanc. Is their something I can help you with?" He asked.

"Actually their is. Did you know about Mina's pregnancy?" Blanc said.

"I have. She came to me when she figured out she was pregnant and wanted me to monitor her situation. Is something the matter?" Kaito questioned with some worry.

"Well I decided that she is taking some maternity leave until she has her baby and I figured that since you're her doctor you can keep an eye on her progress. If that's alright with you." Blanc replied.

"That's perfectly fine. I have an extra room that she can sleep in until then." Kaito said.

"Great she should be arriving within the hour. So you and IF will want to be prepared." Blanc added.

"We'll be prepared. Thank you for letting me know in advance." Kaito replied.

"Take care of her okay." Blanc said.

"We will." He reassured her as she disconnected from Kaito as now he was expecting a third person as he went to prepare the guest bedroom.

Upstair IF was getting ready to take herself a nap after what had happened a day ago.

"Man I'm still beat after that monster attack. Guess a little nap wouldn't hurt plus a break from it all does sound tempting." IF said as she went to remove her coat she felt something in one of the pockets as she fished it out.

She held in her hand another data card "Another one? But how did I end up with it?" She asked herself.

"Hm... maybe I can take a look at it. Maybe it has something useful on it." IF added as she took off her coat and placed it on her bed before moving toward her computer and inserting the data card into the slot on her PC.

She noticed the tab that had appeared for the data card and clicked on it as a video screen appeared.

"Another video file. Wonder what it has on it?" She questioned as she clicked play to start the video. Almost immediately the video showed her father in the picture and surround what appears to be some sort of lab.

"Good morning or is it afternoon. I really can't tell anymore because of the lab. Today I'm making this recording to keep progress on subject XIF147. So far the progress has been rather stable as their are no signs of any problems with the subjects body. No signs of any abnormalities of any sorts as everything is right on schedule." Kaito said in the video though he sighed.

"Although I'm starting to question the doctors methods of wanting to do this. I mean we can't just play god and decide to create a life. I'm starting to realize that we've made a grave mistake. Oh before I go I at least want you all to see the subject." Kaito said as he grabbed the camera and moved to infront of a large tube filled with clear red liquid.

Though what shocked her more was what was inside it. Curled into a ball is a naked girl that looks just like her even through the liquid she could see the hair length is just as long as hers and have the exact body type.

"Guess it's just you and me tonight huh?" He told the girl inside the tube. Though what he wasn't expecting was the girl to open her eyes at look at him.

"Whoa. I didn't know that you'd wake up you just startled me. Though I'll have to admit you are rather beautiful. I just wish the professor didn't have to create you." Kaito said though he let out a hum like he was thinking a moment.

"You know while your awake I guess I could give you a name instead of your ceral number XIF147. Wait that's it how about... IF? Yeah that sounds way better. Now go back to sleep now okay." Kaito said sweetly as the girl did just that and closed her eyes.

He then pressed his hand to the glass.

"Don't worry... I'll take care of you. No matter what." He said as the recording ended.

IF for her part was completely shocked by this sudden development as she had just single handedly discovered something that she shouldn't have. She stared down at her hands as they were shaking not sure how to take this kind of information.

She wasn't born like all the other human girls... but she was created and her father knew all about it. This was a serious blow to her as she got up from her chair and sat down on her bed as she now had much to think about.

Suddenly a knock came from her door as she quickly went to her computer and took out the data card and hid it.

"Come in." She called out as Kaito opened the door.

"Hey kiddo. I've got some news that you might want to hear." Kaito said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well Mina is coming over and she's going to be staying with us for a while." Kaito said which surprised IF.

"Really. Is there a reason for that?" IF asked again.

"Mina is pregnant and Blanc decided to give her leave until she has her baby and she wanted to send her here until then. So we'll going to be prepared to make her feel well at home." Kaito said.

"Yeah. She'll like it here." IF said.

"Well I better go prepare the guest bedroom for our company." Kaito said.

IF stopped a moment as she spoke "Hey... dad." IF said stopping him in tracks.

"Yes dear?" Kaito questioned.

She wanted to tell him about the data card but that could only raise suspicion so she thought of something else.

"Make sure she's close to the bathroom. Especially if she has morning sickness." IF said.

"Thanks I'll do that." Kaito said as he left her bedroom closing the door behind him.

She pretty much fell onto her bed looking up at the ceiling as she looked at the data chip. She was already developing a plan in her mind to confront her father.

Her phone buzzed as she recieved a message from someone that she wasn't expecting.

"Guess who buddy?" The message read.

That's when IF figured out who it was almost immediately as she began to type.

"Croire? How'd you get my number?" IF texted back.

"Your number was in the guild messages so I got it from their. Everything okay? You had me a bit worried." Croire texted her.

"Was she worried about me. She must've heard about the attack." IF said to herself before texting her again.

"Sorry about that. I was in the hospital after Lastation was attacked. I'm good now and I'm back home in Lowee." IF texted her to reassure her friend.

"Good to hear that." Croire said even adding a smily face emoji at the end.

IF smile glad that her friend cared about her and was worried for her.

"Thanks for worrying about me. Say would you like to meet up later? I need some company." IF texted.

"Something wrong? You can tell me." Croire texted back.

"I'll tell you face to face. Say in about an hour at the amusement park." IF texted her.

"Sounds good. Until then." Croire said sending her a smiley face at IF.

She smile at that and decided that if she was going to relax and enjoy herself she might was well do it while she has some company with her so after informing her father that she was going out for a bit as she made her way toward the amusement park to meet up with Croire. Though still the thoughts run in her mind that she was created instead of born plagues her mind and maybe Croire might be able to help her in this development.

Meanwhile at Planeptune, Neptune and Histoire were actually going through some of the video footage of the attack thanks to permission from Noire as they examined each footage. Though Neptune was starting to grow bored as she let out a big yawn.

"Borrrring. What are we suppose to find in these that could be useful?" Neptune asked completely bored out of her mind.

Histoire only sighed "Anything that could help us narrow down at who attacked Lastation. Maybe even get an idenity." Histoire said as she swiped to the next footage which was a different angle of this new CPU destroying the monster.

"Who that new CPU is totally kicked butt. With her bare hands too. That's something even I couldn't do." Neptune admitted.

"I'll admit this new CPU is definately powerful but we still need to... wait a moment!" Histoire said pausing the footage a moment.

"You see something Histy?" Neptune asked.

"Look at the mirrors reflection at the very top." Histoire pointed out as Neptune squinted to look and saw in the footage was a reflection of a person wearing a cloak.

"Bingo! But the photos too small to get an ID." Neptune added.

"Leave that part to me." Histoire said as she began typing away at the computer as she focused in on the person at it got closer and closer to being near clear pictured as the were able to get a face.

"Alright I'm running it through recogniction so we should be able to ID this person." Histoire said and within under a minute a photo came up which surprised the both of them.

"You have got to be kidding me! This is certainly a red flag event!" Neptune shouted.

"For once I'm inclined to agree. Croire Grimm. Age: 21. Blood Type: O negative. Location of Birth: Lowee." Histoire stated.

"Wait a minute. I've seen her before. She was in the forest in Planeptune where me and IF found her. Said that the was a traveler." Neptune said remembering the encounter.

"Then what was she doing in Lastation. Could she be the one that started the attack?" Histoire questioned.

"I don't know Histy but something about this just doesn't sit right with me." Neptune said with a shudder.

"You said that you and IF encountered her in the forest. Then a few days later their is an attack on Lastation with her being their as well. Something is not adding up and I do not like it." Histoire added crossing her arms under her bust.

"So... what's the plan Histy?" Neptune asked.

"For now we keep a sharp eye on this Croire girl until we know the full extent of what she does. If she has any abilities that we become aware of then we'll go from their." Histoire replied.

"How's the search with Fuuki? Any luck finding who's taking our shares?" Neptune asked.

"We are slowly but surely narrowing down the search but it will still take some time. Even with the two of us." Histoire added.

"Alright just don't overdue it okay. You had me worried the last time." Neptune said.

"I promise that I won't overdue it this time." Histoire added reassuring her CPU.

"Okay. Maybe me and sis can look into this Dexter Grimm fella see what we can find." Neptune said.

"That would be helpful. Good luck you two." Histoire said as Neptune left her to her business as she continued narrowing her search for this myserty person of who might be stealing shares.

F3: The ends chapter 10. The monster attack has been stopped but Lastation took a heavy hit and is now needing assistance for repairs. Let me know in the comments about this story and don't forget to follow and/or favorite as well. With that said this is Fireuser3 and I'm out.
