And here we are. We're on the final two chapters of the Aftermath Arc. It's all going to come together here. I have big plans going forward and I just want to say, because someone asked in the reviews, yes you can use this story as a blueprint or layout of your own story. I am one hundred percent okay with that. It actually makes me happy that others want to use my story. Just give credit if you do.
Chapter 12: Aftermath Part 3
Sandra and Carl's House
Sandra was at the table crying as Carl rubbed her shoulders. She had just found out the fate of her son. He had turned into a cold blooded killer.
Max sat across the table as he explained everything they had found. From the organization that stole him to the battle between Ben and the Plumbers. "Right now…we're trying to find him and bring him home. It will take some time."
Carl then spoke up. "Time?! By what you're telling us, dad, is that our son has permanently been changed. Even if you get him back…he's never going to be the same…the hell and pain he went through…and we weren't there to protect him.." He closed his eyes.
Max said. "We can't give up hope. From what I've been told, there's a way to break him free from Slades control. When he was fighting Rook, Evie was able to stun him for a few moments. Like he was remembering her. We just have to remind him who he is and show him his memories. Only then can we free him."
Carl and Sandra looked at each other and nodded. Sandra added. "Just bring my baby boy home…please..." She wiped her tears away.
"I promise I won't rest until Ben is home safely...you have my word..." Max left the house and outside, Jon was waiting by the vehicle. He was wearing a simple brown leather jacket with a white shirt. He also wore jeans and sneakers. "How did it go?" He asked Max.
Max sighed. "Better than I thought. We gave them hope. Now we just have to find him." He told Jon as they got into the vehicle.
"Let's go to the base and see how the others are holding up." Jon said as he drove off.
Max nodded.
Back at the base, they had just finished running tests on Gwen. The medic discovered she had low blood sugar and put her on bed rest for a few days. This of course pissed Gwen off.
"But I'm fine." Gwen insisted, trying to get up.
"You need to rest, love." Kevin told, lying her back down.
Gwen nodded. "Alright just promise me if you guys find anything on Ben you'll tell me. Please?"
The others agreed and let her rest.
One month later…
Ben was training Rojo all the moves he was taught. Each combat style was a way to take down a certain enemy. From Tetramands, Incurseans and even Osmosians. He taught her how to fight the Plumbers.
Slade watched from a balcony as the two trained. A soldier walked up to Slade. "Sir, I have the info you requested." He said as he handed over a data pad.
Slade took a look at it and smirked. "Good. Now we have the location of that traitor." The pad showed a picture of what appeared to be Jon.
Slade called over Ben and Rojo. Both walked over and stood at attention. "Agent 47, time to take our new recruit on her fist mission."
Rojo smirked and cracked her knuckles. "What's first?"
Slade gave them the pad. "A few months ago, we had a hostile takeover. This was one of the individuals responsible. Your mission is to either eliminate him or bring him back alive for questioning."
Rojo and Ben looked at the photo. Ben began to recognize him but said nothing.
Rojo chuckled. "Well…looks like it's going to be fun either way."
Slade nodded. "Good luck. You'll need it…because if you come back with a failure…I'll personally remove your head."
Rojo gulped as she watched Slade leave. She looked over at Ben and the two walked out.
This still surprised her. The most annoying person she had ever met, the one who foiled her plans, was now silent. He was no longer that same boy who put her in this position.
Rojo decided to tease him. "So...Benjamin. Looks like they finally shut you up." She punched his shoulder as they walked.
Ben didn't say a word as he walked. He didn't even pay attention to Rojo.
She pouted. "Well aren't you a barrel of fun. You always had witty remarks or some childish insult." Rojo rolled her eyes.
Ben stared forward. He appeared to be unfeeling or unfazed. But deep inside his mind…something was stirring.
Inside Ben's brain, was a control chip. It basically nullified his emotions, feelings, and thoughts. It gave his commands and told him what to do. But he was fully aware of what was happening. He was trapped inside his mind with no voice, unable to scream for help. Just inner pain.
They got in the aircraft and it took off. The duo prepared for this.
But what they didn't know was Slade was currently sending them into a trap. He knew that the Plumbers had more numbers but that was the plan. Once Ben was on the inside…he would slaughter them all.
This was going to be interesting.
Elsewhere…
Everyone was gathered at the Plumber Base. Max, Jon, Rook, Ben's lovers, Gwen, Kevin, Manny, and Alan. They all came as soon as Max got new information regarding Ben. Echo Squad was supposed to be there but they had an important mission.
Max started off. "Let me begin by thanking all of you for being here. This mission will take all of us."
Everyone nodded and agreed.
Max added. "As you all know, it was recently discovered that this…Agent 47, has been unmasked. And it was revealed to be Ben…"
Everyone listened intently.
Max looked at Rook. "Rook has information that will help."
Rook stepped forward. "When I was fighting Agent- I mean Ben...I took a scan of him..."
Rook brought the scan up on a holographic device. It showed an X-Ray of Ben's brain from the fight. In his cerebral cortex, was a device.
Allen asked. "What is that?"
Kevin looked at it. "It's a Techadon control chip. Dictators would use these to manipulate slaves or warriors. It blocks out any emotion or pain in the nerves. But the person is still conscious inside their mind, like a prison. Which means..."
"Ben is still in there..." Attea said as she walked forward. "Trapped…"
Looma was in shock. "I can't even imagine what our beloved is going through…"
Evie clung to Looma.
"What he's done..it would probably make even Uncle Hex sick…" Hope added.
Ester asked. "Is there any way we can free him?"
"There is". A voice said from behind.
Everyone turned to look.
Azmuth was there, along with Eunice. Eunice held him in her hands like a standing platform.
Gwen said. "Azmuth? What are you doing here?"
Azmuth motioned for Eunice to put him down. She lowered him to the ground and he walked forward.
He began to speak. "I have spent months working, ever since before Ben was injured. I knew it was going to happen."
This shocked everyone.
Helen then asked. "You mean you knew what would happen? "
Azmuth sighed, but nodded. "Yes…"
The girls had to hold Helen back. "You fucking frog!! You could have saved him!! He could still be in our arms if you…if you…"
She began to cry. Attea and Ester held her as she broke down. For months, she had held herself together, but at this point, it was all coming loose. She couldn't hold it in any longer.
Azmuth explained. "Paradox told me why...this timeline…is one of the toughest. Ben had to go through this event to become a stronger warrior. To be the Hero of Heroes, he must prepare for the long battle ahead."
Kevin asked. "What battle?"
Azmuth replied. "I can't divulge that information but...that is not why I'm here. I have a gift for Evelyn."
Evie perked up at her name being called. "Yes, uncle Azmuth?"
Azmuth looked at Eunice and she revealed a pod similar to the one Ben found all those years ago.
It opened and inside was a blue and pink Omnitrix.
Helen said. "You're...giving Evie an Omnitrix?"
Azmuth shook his head. "Not an Omnitrix. THE Omnitrix. It's time to pass on the device."
Gwen retorted. "But what about Ben when he returns?"
Azmuth smiled. "I've been working on something even better for him. Paradox and I have visited other worlds, other Ben Tennysons. We looked at our ideas together and came up with a…unique design. When it's ready, I shall reveal it. But for now…Evie, step forward and we will give you the Omnitrix."
Evie hesitantly stepped forward. Eunice kneeled and smiled. "Don't be afraid, little one. It won't hurt." She assured.
Evie nodded and put her hand on the Omnitrix. It began to slither onto her hand. It glowed.
Evie was so excited. "Whoa!! I'm just like daddy!!" She giggled.
Looma smiled. "And you're as brave as him too." She scooped up her daughter, causing the young girl to giggle more.
Azmuth then said. "I also have something can help with Ben. Something to combat the chip in his head." He revealed a device. It looked like a disk.
Max said. "A stun disk?"
Azmuth nodded. "Place it in the right spot and it will send a signal to the brain. From there, it will short out the chip and break Ben free. But you will also have to remind him who he is. There's no guarantee this will work." He explained as he handed the disk to Max.
Azmuth continued. "I believe you have it in hand from here. Be careful and don't underestimate Ben. He has proven himself to be more than capable."
Eunice picked him up and the two teleported away.
The group looked at Evie, who was already trying to use the Omnitrix. She pouted adorably. "Why won't it work?"
Max chuckled. "I assume Azmuth put on some safety features after his experience with Ben."
At that moment, the alarms began to go off. There was an intruder alert.
In the halls, there was sound of blaster fire.
Manny pulled out his blasters. "We'll go check it out."
Helen and Alan nodded and the trio ran off to go investigate.
Jon said. "We're getting another alert from the other side of the base. I'll go handle that." He ran off to investigate.
"I wanna help!" Evie said excitedly. "I can now with my Omnitrix."
Max sighed. "Not right now kiddo" .He looked at the monitor surveillance. G3 agents were in the halls, Rojo had her own team going towards the base's core. And finally…Ben was in the security room. Ben blasted the console and the entire base security was offline.
Rook sighed and pulled out his Proto-Tool. "I will go stop him..."
Max handed Rook the disk. "Be careful…if this doesn't work or you can't restrain him...it may be time to put him out of the hell he's in…"
Rook looked at Max and nodded before running to the security room.
Max looked at the remaining people in the room. "We've got to hold this room. They're going to come through any-"
Max was interrupted as the door burst open.
Evie ran to a hiding spot.
Everyone turned to look and standing there...was Slade. He had his helmet on and his blades. "Oh, Maxwell...it's been a long time~" he chuckled.
Max clenched his fist. "You...you have a lot of nerve coming here, Wilson. You tortured my grandson, put him through a lot…"
Slade only smiled at that under the helmet. "Oh he was already tortured. I just made him…better. Now he feels no pain, no remorse. He is the perfect soldier."
"He's not a soldier. He's just a kid, a hero. You will pay for this." Max got into a fighting stance.
Gwen, Kevin and the rest of Ben's lovers got ready to fight.
Slade and his soldiers attacked. From there, it was on.
Meanwhile, Helen, Manny and Alan were pinned by the G3 soldiers. Alan tried to throw blasts of fire in his Pyronite form but it was no use.
"There's too many of them!! " Alan said.
Helen growled. "We need backup!!"
At that moment, the floor beneath the soldiers became mud. The soldiers looked confused but immediately got taken down by a large object. Helen, Manny and Alan peeked out. It was Lucy and Cooper.
Helen was confused. "Lucy? Cooper? What are you two doing here?"
Cooper replied. "Max said he needed us to come in for an important meeting. We would have gotten here sooner if it wasn't for Lucy needing to get a smoothie."
Lucy was offended. "What? Lenopans need constant fluids!! I couldn't help it."
Cooper replied. "But you didn't have to try all the flavors!!"
Manny separated the two. "Okay. Let's calm down. The base is currently under attack and we need all the help we can get."
Cooper nodded. "Where do you need us?"
Alan replied. "I just got a transmission from Ester. They're barely holding it down in the main room."
Helen nodded. "Then that's where we go. Come on." The group ran back to the main room.
Meanwhile…
Jon had just dispatched the agents and was currently going in circles with Rojo. He looked her up and down. "So...you're the one Tennyson broke out. Don't know why."
Rojo began to chuckle. "Lad, there's many things you don't know about me." Razor sharp blades extended from her fingers.
Jon took a deep breath and flexed his arms. They were actually mechanical and from them came two blades that looked like mantis claws (think of mantis blades from Cyberpunk).
Rojo smirked. "I like your hardware, pretty boy. Can't wait to rip it out of you."
Jon said. "You can try, you crazy bitch."
Rojo was shocked. "Crazy??!! I'll tear your lungs out!!" She screeched and began to swipe at Jon.
Jon was able to dodge the slashes and kicked her back. Rojo growled and ran on all fours towards Jon. Jon got into position and their blades collided.
The two began to claw and slash at each other. Jon threw her on the ground. Rojo then grabbed his leg and stabbed it with one of her claws.
He groaned and fell on his knee. That's when Rojo slashed his left eye. He groaned in pain.
Rojo laughed maniacally as she tried to finish him off but he pulled out a taser and shocked the fuck out of her.
Rojo fell to the ground, unconscious as she just got zapped with 50,000 volts.
Jon got up. "Looks like I got the crazy part right.." He tore a piece of his shirt off and wrapped it around his eye. He tied up Rojo and put her over his shoulder, limping back to the main room.
Elsewhere…
Rook stood in front of the door to the security room. On the other side of that door..was his old partner, his best friend, someone he had grown to consider a brother.
He opened the door and standing there..was Ben in his armor. He turned around, his dead eyes just piercing into Rook's soul. Rook said. "I am sorry , Ben..." He ran forward and the fight began.
The two were beating each other down and slamming each other into the equipment around them. Ben gritted his teeth. Then…he was able to get Rook pinned on the ground to finish him off but something was preventing him from doing so. Like a thought in the back of his mind. A voice trying to say no.
Rook saw an opening and slammed the disk on Ben's neck, sending jolts through his body. Ben's body convulsed then collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.
Rook sighed in relief and tried to contact the others. No luck.
Ben then got back up and grabbed Rook, throwing his body all over the room like a rag doll. The two kept throwing punches but the opponent wouldn't stay down.
They knew how the other one fought and were matched. Ben kicked Rook in the chest and sent him flying out of the door. The room had windows overlooking the main room like a balcony.
Rook looked out and saw the team getting overwhelmed by Slade and his troops. He tried to get up, but Ben walked out of the room and grabbed Rook. Ben ran full speed and the two burst through the window. The two warriors slammed onto the ground, with only Ben getting back up. The rest of the team, like Max, Gwen, Kevin, and the lovers, were restrained on the ground.
Rook groaned as he definitely had some broken bones.
Ben held his side as he stared at Rook.
At that moment, Helen, Manny, Alan, Cooper and Lucy entered the room on one side and Jon entered the other.
They watched the sight before them. They couldn't believe it…it was really Ben.
Slade chuckled. "Well done, Agent 47. Now….finish him off." He patted Ben's shoulder.
Ben pulled a pistol from his holster and aimed it at Rook.
Rook groaned as he looked at the armed man. "Ben…."
Ben slowly started to pull the trigger…..
Until a familiar little voice spoke….
"Step away from Uncle Rook! And give me back my daddy!!!"
Ben started shaking as something in his mind was preventing him from pulling the trigger. No matter how much he tried, something stopped him.
Slade said. "Do it, Agent 47!! Fulfill your duty!!"
All his friends and family kept saying no and trying to get to him.
Ben then grabbed his head as all at once, memories and flashbacks began to flood in. From his childhood, to his adventures with Kevin and Gwen, to his missions with Rook, to how he met all of his lovers, and finally…the day he first hugged Evie for the first time…
Then...it all faded to black…

Wow!!! Another cliffhanger!!! This is going really well. Next chapter will conclude the arc at the beginning. It will be…very interesting. Mwahahahahahahaha!!! I hope you are all enjoying it.
