"Talking didn't work." She mumbled into Theo's shoulder, curled up on the couch. "Stupid male-pride."
"I resent that." He responded, calmly flipping a page in his book.
"Stupid Hufflepuff male-pride," she corrected, "your self-preservation skills are impeccable."
"Why is he competing?"
"Cho."
Theo paused, closing his book. "He said that?"
"No, but he was clearly trying to impress her."
"That's bloo-"
"-you can't be here!" Draco's voice echoed around the Slytherin common room. "This isn't your House!"
She picked up Theo's discarded scarf and wrapped it around her neck. "...better?"
