Out of everything in the damn daycare Paige hated Sundrop. The animatronic never seemed to be happy with what she did. Every move she made seemed to be the wrong one. Hell, the few times she did nothing wrong she was still somehow wrong. It didn't make much sense in her mind. But according to the animatronic she was just a bad kid.

So, she gave up on trying to be a good kid anymore.

What was the point of trying to be good if no one believed you were? Every single time that she played she was in trouble. Either she was too loud or too rough with the other kids. Last time she was 'too rough' the other kid gave her a bruise for crying out loud. Yet she was the one that got into trouble? This didn't seem to matter to Sundrop, and he put her in time out until the other kids left the daycare. Then had her help him clean up before making her go to sleep in one of the stupid little beds the place had for sleepovers. She was sure that he told her mom that she did something terrible before they left. As her mom, Monica, had grounded her for two weeks when they finally got home after her shift.

No video games and no leaving her room either.

It sucked but she put up with it. Just like she put up with everything that Sundrop seemed to love putting her through. Grinned and bore it. At least whenever it was nighttime, and she woke up Moondrop was nice. He listened to her when she told him about the frequent nightmares that she had been having. Holding her close as she sat in his lap. Petting her back as she told him how terrified she had been. That was when she was in the daycare and the whole place was wrecked. Not only was it wrecked but no one was around. Not him. Not Sundrop. Her mom wasn't there either and neither was Nessa.

The weird lady her mom worked with.

And then there was this weird looking shape following her. Paige initially thought it was a man that was following her but then it morphed. Big awkward shaped lumps appeared on its head. The thing was rotting like it had been moldy or something. Whatever this big creature was it kept following her as she tried to run away. Yet no matter how fast she ran it was on her tail. Before it could lay a finger on her she would wake up. Crying and screaming for help. Moondrop would calm her down as he told her that she was safe. That he would never let anyone, or anything harm her when he was around. Tonight wasn't any different than any other night. That creature was hot on her heels and nearly caught her before she woke up.

"I promise. That creature cannot get you in the daycare.",Moondrop promised. Curling himself around her as protectively as he always had. It made her feel somewhat safer. But her anxious and tired mind kept telling her that he couldn't. Not always. Sundrop hated her and he was around her more than him. She sniffled as she wiped tears away with the back of her hand. Softly, she muttered,"But you can't be here forever. And Sundrop doesn't care about me. He'd probably be happy if that freaky creature ate me."

"No, he wouldn't. He would never let anyone harm you.",he tried. It was useless. Paige had it in her head that his other half hated her. As he only put her in time out when he felt she was acting out. And he knew that she didn't deserve it all the time. The time she broke another kid's nose was the only time. But everything else? No. Sighing, Moondrop continued,"I know you think otherwise but he could never bring himself to hurt a child."

"He's too soft for something like that.",he added. Trying to keep his tone light as he gently nuzzled the top of her head. Keeping her as calm as possible. And hoping that she wouldn't ask if he would harm a kid either. Which he wouldn't. Despite some of the children he'd dealt with he never actually physically attacked any of them. Just put them in time out or scolded them before putting them back in their sleep places. His appearance was probably the contributing factor for why so many of them were scared. Carefully standing up with her in his arms, he asked,"Now. How about we get you a candy to help you sleep?"

"Or do you want some water instead?",he added. Not wanting to limit the scared ten-year-old from getting what she needs. It was always best to give children options in times like this. Yawning, she answered,"A moondrop candy would be nice. Please and thank you."

That was something that Moondrop found somewhat endearing. Her mother would say this sometimes when she came to check on Paige. It usually followed a request that wasn't too difficult to do. Like making sure that she went to the bathroom before heading home. As they had about forty minutes of driving before they went home. Moondrop nodded his head at this and slipped one out of his backpocket. Giving it to Paige as he set her down on the bed she always used when in the Daycare. Soon as she ate it and laid down, he tucked her back in. Petting her hair gently as he murmured,"Goodnight, Paige. Your mother should be here when you wake. And I promise that no weird rotting creature will come after you."

"Nothing will harm you as long as I'm here.",he vowed. With that she slipped back to sleep. The young girl seemed to sleep better once she talked about her nightmares. Which were becoming more and more frequent. It was the same one too. Something that he felt Monica should know when he got the chance. As he feared that this dream meant something worse. Yet he couldn't figure out what. Either way he would get to the bottom of things. Eventually he would. For now, he had to keep an eye on Paige. Make sure that her nightmare didn't come back. Sure, her nightmares normally stopped when she had one of his candies.

He still had to be careful.

A little while later there was an odd noise near the ballpit. Someone had come into the daycare through the slide. But it was much too late at night for it to be a child, wasn't it? His eyes drifted to the spot where the kids came in. A tiny young boy was pulling himself out of the pit and started walking around with a flashlight. Standing up, he sighed as he realized he had to deal with this personally. If the kid was wandering around with a flashlight he might accidentally wake up Paige and ruin her sleep schedule. And there was no way he would put up with a kid ruining his favorite superstar's sleep.

"Is the daycare normally this dark, Freddy?",the child asked. He listened carefully as he watched the boy wander towards the desk. A place that children weren't meant to be. Especially when the human daycare assistant wasn't there to help. He stopped in his place when he heard the watch answer,"Yes, Greggory. One of the security guards has a daughter who goes there while she works with Vanessa. Please be careful."

"If you wake her up Moondrop will not be pleased with you.",Freddy Fazbear warned. A fair warning from the rockstar bear. It surprised him that he even cared about the young girl's health. But figured he was more concerned about the naughty child who wasn't sleeping. Something that somewhat confused him as he watched him move along. This Greggory child. Greggory asked,"Has anyone been dumb enough to try and wake her?"

"Monty. But she likes him so Moondrop doesn't do anything about it to keep her happy.",Freddy answered. Also true. But sounded a lot like favoritism when said out loud. Settling his hands on his hips he walked towards Greggory. Determined to find out why he was in the daycare at all. And whether he should be put to sleep like Paige was. Why hadn't anyone told him about this new superstar? Did he come in last minute with a lazy parent or something? Soon as he got close, he heard Greggory ask,"Do you think it'd be wiser for me to turn the lights on? That way I can find that charger thing?"

"Excuse you? Don't you dare turn on the lights.",Moondrop hissed. Getting close to the child as he immediately ran over to him. Looming over him as he sneered down at this Greggory. Who rudely shined his flashlight into his face. Putting a hand over it, he continued,"Paige just fell back asleep and I can't have you ruining her sleep schedule."

The kid yanked his flashlight out of his hand. And the voice over the fazwatch made him even more annoyed. He heard Freddy asking more questions. Pulling it off of Greggory's wrist in a quick motion, he answered,"Fazbear, he's fine. Now can you please quiet down. Paige had a nightmare and needs her rest."

"If you help Greggory get a security card to the front door he will.",Freddy answered. Rolling his head once in annoyance, Moondrop agreed. Slipping the fazwatch back on Greggory's too thin wrist before gently guiding him to the desk. Taking the card out of the Freddy Fazbear head charger before pushing him towards the door. Carefully opening it before shoving him out to the waiting rockstar and giving a tiny, annoyed wave as he did so. In a quiet voice, Moondrop muttered,"Have a fazerrific night, naughty child."

"Don't you have a ten-year-old bully to tend to?",Freddy asked. Rolling his eyes as he picked up Greggory. Slipping him into his chest cavity before heading towards his own room. It would have been hilarious. If both weren't being so annoying. With this he shut the door to the daycare. Not noticing the strange rabbit woman that had been watching them. A knife tightly grasped in her hand.
