Disclaimer- I don't own Kim Possible

Wade Load, the tech-savvy genius who helped Kim Possible on her missions, had been Ron Stoppable's best friend since elementary school. Despite his reputation as a behind-the-scenes whiz, Wade had always harbored a secret crush on Monique, Kim's stylish and confident best friend. Every time they crossed paths, his heart raced, but he never mustered the courage to ask her out—until Valentine's Day was just around the corner.

After much encouragement from Ron, Wade finally decided to take the plunge. On the evening of February 13th, he called Monique, his hands trembling as he typed out the message.

"Hey Monique, it's Wade. I know this is kind of sudden, but I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me on Valentine's Day?"

To Wade's surprise and delight, Monique responded almost immediately with a cheerful, "Sure, Wade! I'd love to."

When Monique agreed, she didn't realize how nervous she'd be about the whole thing. Sure, she liked Wade—he was sweet, smart, and always there when she or Kim needed help—but they had never hung out one-on-one before. And while Monique was confident in almost every situation, a first date with Wade was uncharted territory. To ease her nerves, she came up with a plan.

The next day, Monique met up with Kim and Ron at Bueno Nacho, their usual hangout spot. After they ordered their usual nachos and soda, Monique leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.

"Okay, so... I said yes to Wade," she admitted, twirling a strand of her hair.

"That's great, Monique!" Kim exclaimed, genuinely happy for her friend. Ron nodded enthusiastically, his mouth too full of nachos to speak.

"Yeah, it is," Monique replied, though her voice betrayed her anxiety. "But... I'm kind of nervous. I mean, I've never been on a date with Wade before. What if things get awkward?"

Kim leaned forward. "It'll be fine, Monique. Wade's a great guy, and he likes you. Just be yourself."

Monique smiled but then added, "Actually, I was thinking… maybe you two could, you know, keep an eye on us? Just in case I need a quick escape or something?"

Ron finally swallowed his food, grinning. "Spy on your date? Say no more—Ron Stoppable is on the job!" He struck a dramatic pose, making Monique and Kim laugh.

Kim, though a bit hesitant about the idea, agreed. "Alright, Monique. We'll be there, but we'll keep our distance. Just call or text if you need us."

Valentine's Day arrived, and Wade, dressed in a sharp blue shirt and black pants, arrived at the local café where he was supposed to meet Monique. He had picked the place for its cozy, relaxed atmosphere, hoping it would make the date more comfortable for both of them. Meanwhile, Kim and Ron had already stationed themselves at a corner table, hidden behind menus and oversized sunglasses.

Monique walked in a few minutes later, looking stunning in a red dress. She spotted Wade immediately, and the sight of his nervous smile helped to ease her own jitters. She waved at him as she approached the table, and Wade stood up, nearly knocking over his glass of water in the process.

"Hi, Monique!" Wade greeted her, a bit too enthusiastically, which made her giggle.

"Hey, Wade," Monique replied with a warm smile as she sat down. "You look nice."

Wade blushed. "Thanks, so do you."

As they started talking, Wade and Monique quickly found common ground in their shared love of technology and fashion. Wade even surprised Monique with a thoughtful gift—a small, customized phone charm that he had designed himself, combining her love of fashion with his tech skills.

All the while, Kim and Ron kept watch from their table. Ron, who had been expecting a disaster, was surprised to see how smoothly things were going.

"Wow, they're actually hitting it off," he whispered to Kim, who nodded in agreement.

"I told you Wade had it in him," Kim replied with a smile. "Looks like Monique didn't need our help after all."

But just as Kim and Ron were about to discreetly leave, Monique suddenly caught their eye. She glanced over at them and smiled, giving them a subtle thumbs-up before returning her attention to Wade.

It was her way of telling them she was okay—and that she appreciated their support. Kim and Ron exchanged satisfied looks, knowing their mission was complete. They quietly slipped out of the café, leaving Wade and Monique to enjoy the rest of their date.

As the evening went on, Monique and Wade grew more comfortable, laughing and talking like they'd known each other forever. By the end of the night, as Wade walked Monique home, he felt a sense of accomplishment and relief. They stopped outside her door, and for a moment, they stood in comfortable silence.

"I had a really great time tonight, Wade," Monique said, smiling up at him.

"Me too," Wade replied, feeling more confident than ever. "Maybe we could do this again sometime?"

Monique nodded, her eyes sparkling. "I'd like that."

With that, they said their goodbyes, and as Monique walked into her house, Wade couldn't help but feel that this was just the beginning of something special. Back at Bueno Nacho, Kim and Ron toasted to a successful mission, happy to see their friends finding happiness together.
