In the early 1900's golf was a sport that was dominated by not only men but the upper class. It's a world whose walls are practically impenetrable to the working class. But, in the year 1913 during the renowned U.S. Open, one person seeks to change all that. To break the barriers that prevent others from fulfilling their dreams. Her name is Frances Ouimet. *Based on 2005 film*

A Woman's Game Prologue

In the early 20th century the game of golf was still young and considered a sport reserved for the wealthy. In 1913 a new challenger named Francis DeSales Ouimet rose up to challenge those who would consider it impossible unheard of for someone of the working class to triumph above all others in order to achieve the ultimate prize. But the path to reaching such a reword isn't without hardship.

In a world where it's difficult for a man in the working class to rise above their station pushing passed the scorn and persecution of the rich, it's practically unthinkable for a woman.

Ever since she was a little girl Francis has wanted nothing more than to become one of the world's greatest golf players even more so than her idol Harry Varden. Expected to only go to school eventually get married and keep house she's seen as a pariah in society for her unconventional nature and dreams. She is absolutely determined to prove to all doubters that a woman can be on top after competing against others in a man's sport. With the faith and support of all those who truly do believe in her, she will succeed in this endeavor.

…And make her father proud.

I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
