It had been a long trek, but she made it. Yang Xiao Long had finally made it to the location she was looking for. Her little sister Ruby was sound asleep in the wagon behind her. Yang was so tired, but she didn't care. She made it. She looked at the barn, and looking right at her, was a pair of red eyes. Deep, glowing, red eyes, belonging to the Creatures of Grimm. Yang was too tired to even respond, and she fainted. However, there was a loud slash as she closed her eyes.
"When I came to," said Yang to Blake, "I was in a bed. Apparently my Uncle Qrow had saved me. But, Ruby was no where to be seen. They searched everywhere, but there was no sign of the wagon, or Ruby."
Blake's eyes went wide, and Yang shed tears, saying, "My stubbornness cast me my own sister. I... I haven't given up hope that she might still be out there, and I've never stopped since."
Blake looked at Yang, shocked at the story that was just told. Yang broke down crying. Blake was quick to pick up Yang in her arms, and held her tight.
"Y...Yang," said Blake, "I'm so sorry that happened to you. But, this is different. I'm not a child looking for answers, I-"
Yang then got stern, and said, "No YOU don't understand. What good are we when we destroy ourselves in the process?"
"I'm the only one that can stop them!"
"NO YOU'RE NOT!" yelled Yang, pushing Blake against the desk, "IF ROMAN CAME THROUGH THAT DOOR RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?"
"I'D FIGHT HIM!" replied Blake.
"YOU'D LOOSE!" shouted Yang.
Yang then held Blake once more, saying, "I'm not asking you to stop. I haven't stopped looking for my sister, I just don't let the search take over my life, like it did with my mother."
Blake looked at the picture that Yang drew, and asked, "Are you still..."
"No," said Yang, "I... I've looked into the name Branwen. There's a bandit tribe, and apparently my mother is their leader. I asked my uncle about it, and it's all true. I've focused all my energy into Ruby. My true mother, was Summer Rose, not Raven Branwen."
Blake looked at Yang, and said, "Okay... I... I'll slow down."
Yang smiled, and helped Blake to their dorm room. There, Yang pulled out a picture of her family, before it all fell apart.
"One day Ruby," said Yang, "I know you're still out there."
