New chapter, hope you were all devastated by that last chapter's cliffhanger. Oh hey, look, one of my least favorite characters in Wings of Fire!

Clay's eyes snapped open as he rapidly stood up from his sleep, "STARFLIGHT!" He franticly looked around for the NightWing, not spotting him.

"They took him..."

Clay turned around to see a young female NightWing holding a rag against the RainWing Queen's head. He rapidly molded stone to his talons, preparing to jump at her.

The Queen slowly lifted a talon, "No MudWing, you will not harm this NightWing..." she groaned out in pain, "This NightWing is Moon, she is not like the rest of them..."

The stone around Clay's talons fell off, "All right... sorry."

Moon shook her head, "It's fine, I understand."

"Where is Glory?" Clay said frantic again, not seeing her.

The Queen pointed into the woods, "She is over there, still out cold," the Queen said as she slowly tried to stand up, Moon helping her up by giving her something to grab onto.

Clay tried to restrain a growl but failed as he remembered the NightWing Queen.

She made Burn's strength look like an absolute joke, strong enough to knock him out and fling him across the opening in one blow.

He walked the way the Queen pointed, finding Glory out on the ground. He gently shook her, waking her up.

Her eyes fluttered open, "Wha- what happened?"

Clay shook his head, "Starflight got captured,"

Her eyes shot open, "How?"

He shook his head, "I don't know how, but they found some way to break his control by getting rid of his shadows."

"What?"

"Battlewinner used her fire to light up the area around her and cut off his shadows," Clay explained.

Glory slowly stood up as she looked around, "We lost... didn't we," she said, looking at all the dying fires and trees around them that were charred.

Carinatus walked up to them, "Everyone loses once in a while dragonet, it's a part of life."

Glory gave her a look, "But your forest?"

Carinatus shook her head, "They actually didn't get much of it, we caught the fires before it spread too far."

Glory sighed, almost seeming to melt, "At least that didn't happen," She looked back up at Clay, "So how are we going to rescue Starflight?"

"You are talking about your NightWing friend, right?" Carinatus asked.

Glory nodded at the large RainWing.

"Then I have bad news," she said grimly, "We have no idea where the Night Kingdom is or how they got here."

Clay looked over at Moon, "Does she know?"

Moon shook her head.

Clay looked back down at Glory, "I'm sure Deathbringer would know?"

Glory nodded, "He would, but I have no idea when or even if I'll see him again."

Clay growled in annoyance, looking at the Queen, "Does anyone here have a remote clue where it's at?"

The Queen shook her head, "No, but we are getting worried about it, it seems like when the NightWings show up, they come from out of nowhere."

"What?" Clay asked confused.

Carinatus shook her head, "We have no idea, but it seems like they just magically appear from the jungle."

Glory gasped, "Stonemover!"

Clay realized what she was talking about, "He would know, but he is currently in the Sand Kingdom."

Glory nodded, "The rest of the group should almost be on their way here, when Winter and Qibli get here, we can send them back for Stonemover."

Clay shook his head, "That is going to take too long."

Glory's frown deepened, "I don't like it either, we can still look for him, surely they left some clues, and I can try and find Deathbringer?"

Clay didn't like it but he nodded his head, "I'm going to look around here..."

Clay walked off, leaving Glory with the Queen and Moon.

Glory sat down, sighing, "Sorry..."

Carinatus gave her a look, "What for dragonet?"

"That we weren't here sooner, if we were, none of this would have happened," Glory answered.

Carinatus looked out at the now smoldering wood, "How about you came with me to my pavilion, we can talk there."

"What about me?" Moon asked.

"You can come with us Moon, I'm sure you don't want to be in the jungle and possibly get caught," Carinatus said as she stood up.

They slowly walked away from the clearing, Glory looking over at Moon, "So does the NightWings not like you or something?" she snorted, "It seems pretty easy to make them angry."

Moon shook her head, "No, mom told me to stay hidden from them, and now... it seems like I can make a good guess why..."

Glory stepped around a charred branch, "I don't understand, why?"

"Why what?" Moon shily asked back.

"Why they would attack you?" Glory asked the Queen.

Carinatus growled, "I don't know, but there will be hell to pay," She took off into the air, Glory and Moon following her.

A Rainwing appeared from the jungle, "My queen, we did a head count like you asked and ten dragons are missing.

"How many are dead?"

"Around twenty, we are still finding bodies around the jungle..." the messenger said.

Carinatus growled even louder, "Get a message out to set up patrols around the jungle, tomorrow we are making a team to try and find out how the NightWing got here and where they are at."

She looked over at Glory, "Your name is Glory, correct?"

Glory nodded.

"You said that you knew some dragons who knew where the Night Kindom is?" she asked.

Glory nodded her head again.

They came upon the pavilion, all of them landing. A dragon just a little older than Glory stepped out, "Mom, are you ok?"

"I'm fine Jambu, a slight headache but fine," Carinatus re-assured.

Jambu saw Glory, "Who is that, I haven't seen her before?"

"Her name is Glory," she looked back over at Glory, "Your friend said that you were a "Dragonet of Destiny"?" she asked confused, "I have hear of it, but thought it was something the NightWings came up with?"

Moon looked at Glory, curious as well.

Glory nodded her head, "It's confusing to even me and my friends, but I have no other way how to explain our powers..."

Moon and Jambu looked even more curious now, "Powers?"

Glory took a long sigh, "It's a long story-"

"Then we can talk about this later," Carinatus cut her off, "So about your friends who know about the Night Kingdom?"

"The first one's name is Deathbringer... but he kind of just... shows up randomly?" Glory said unsure.

"And the other one?" Carinatus asked.

"His name is Stonemover-"

She was cut off again by Carinatus, "Wait, you mean the NightWing animus?"

Glory was confused, "You've heard of him?"

Carinatus nodded, "The last time I ever spoke to NightWings on a peaceful term besides Moon, they were looking for him," She explained.

Glory nodded, "Well I know where he is at, but he is a couple days of flying from here, our friends should almost be on their way here, Winter and Qibli who also have powers can fly really fast, when they get here I will send them back for him."

Carinatus growled but nodded, "It's going to be a while then... I'll send forces out while we wait for them to get here."

Glory nodded then hesitated, "If Clay doesn't find the NightWings first anyways..."

Carinatus doubted it but nodded her head, "Now... about that story of yours?"
