AN: Oh dear. I was not ready for this but I'm slowly catching up to where I've gotten so far in this story. Eeps! It might help now that school has started up again but I honestly didn't think that would happen. Don't worry, I'm not stopping the series or

So sometimes I like to draw a little as well to relieve stress and boredom. And I've been wanting to draw some stuff from my stories as well. And while I can't draw Lucifer in the Vizipop's style, I tried my best at drawing little Samael in my own style from Chapter 4. It's not perfect, but I tried my best. I also drew an example of what the luffs look like from 'A Leap of Faith'.

I've also had some fun trying to draw some of the other characters from my stories, including the scene from 'One Hell of a Family' chapter 6, where a slowly transforming Satan is telling Leviathan to take care of Damien and Charlie, and while it's not perfect, I am kind of proud of how well they both turned out. I'll probably color them on some later date.

I have also drawn what I imagine nice versions of Jophiel, Zadkiel, and Tabitha look like. I tried to draw Flare, but it was awful. Because I can't draw furries well or muscles. So I'm gonna try and fix that another time. You can find the pictures here: /MajaJeppes74202

Chapter Eight

Beware the Grapes

The room fell silent as Michael wished the Heavens would open its' sky wide and smite him where he stood to ash. Of all the things he could have yelled out in a panic, why in Father's holy name, had he thrown Adam under the bus?! And to Uriel no less. Uriel who kept the records of Heaven in order. Uriel would know everything possible and represented knowledge and enlightenment.

Uriel who was the proverbial snitch of every single embarrassing story there was to know about any of them.

There was no chance in Heaven he wouldn't tell the others about Ava.

"Adam?" Uriel repeated calmly, his lips quivering with amusement. He cocked his head slightly to the side as Ava looked curiously at him before he gave a little wave to her, receiving a shy giggle from her almost immediately. "And pray tell, what does Adam have to do with a Hellborn being here in Heaven? And in your arms no less?"

"Well... you see..." Michael felt himself fidget as he struggled for an answer. It didn't help that Ava didn't seem frightened by anyone either anymore, her small hands reaching out curiously towards Uriel as if she wanted to see him closer. "Apparently Sera hasn't been able to talk to... him lately and-"

"Why am I not surprised that Sera's involved?" Uriel muttered annoyed, his expression darkening slightly before a series of loud babbles from Ava drew his attention. He looked almost amused at the tiny scowl the baby was sending him, her small hand waving every once in a while at him. If he didn't know better, he would say she was scolding him. "Well hello to you too, Little One. Did you get mixed into some fool's mess? Come now, let's have a proper look at you."

Ignoring Michael's protest, Uriel calmly plucked Ava from his arms and shifted her about in his arms to get a better look at her. As the oldest of the brood, Uriel had had his fair experience of abominations and aberrations, having helped Father protect a still-young Heaven long before Eden was written on paper. Though to be fair, they had all served as soldiers in Heaven's army until Camael took over the role of training the new recruits.

In his time as a warrior, Uriel had faced off with beings that could only be described as the stuff of myths and nightmares. He had faced beings of madness, monstrosities consisting of ashes of the dead, and demons whose rage could make them grow to unimaginable sizes. He had battled and slayed creatures that could devour the world and still hunger for more and helped his father banish foolish entities who believed themselves stronger and greater.

All of them had met their end at their blades and spears. All of them had been banished to the abyss.

And yet when he looked at the baby girl in his arms, he was surprised to feel she felt oddly normal. He couldn't sense any malice or dark energy from her beyond the burst that had gotten his attention earlier. In fact, if it wasn't for her still present tail that was holding onto Michael's wrist and the two little nubs on her head, Uriel would have assumed she was a Heavenborn who just hadn't gotten her wings yet or had accidentally pocketed them without knowing. After all, he had never seen a demon with alabaster skin.

"You're a friendly little thing, aren't you?" Uriel smiled as he gently eased her tail to release Michael and brought her closer to his face. He was curious to see what she would do if he allowed some of his grace to show, to see if it would grow violent and attack him or shy away. To his surprise, the baby 'oo'ed at the glow around him and reached for it, confused as to why she couldn't touch it. "Well now... aren't you a little conundrum."

Michael felt a pang of envy as Uriel seemed to hold the little one with ease. Ava looked comfortable in his hold as he supported her bottom with ease. Not like when Michael held her for the first time. He had no idea what he was doing. Then again, Uriel had had the pleasure of holding all of them as fledglings so maybe it was an ingrained thing just like Adam's paternal instincts.

"Zadkiel?" Uriel calmly spoke as he bounced Ava lightly in his arms, her small fingers still trying to grasp the glow she had seen before. "Would you be so kind as to get Adam up here? I think a meeting may be in order to figure out exactly how our little guest came to be here."

With a silent nod, Zadkiel looked nervously between Uriel and Michael, checking as to whether or not Michael was going to order her to stop. After all, Michael was the one in charge so if he demanded that she refrain from summoning Adam, then she would have to obey his orders. However Michael remained silent, eyes fixed on the child, so she slowly left the room without a word.

Charlie frowned as the glow around the new man disappeared. She didn't know who he was, and at first, she wasn't sure if she liked him. He made Daddy nervous. She could tell because his eyes always got a little too wide and his wings would give a funny little flutter when he was unhappy. Normally it was when Mommy brought in someone new, like Ms. Tabby or the nice lady from the park.

Charlie didn't like it when Daddy was nervous. It meant he would hold her too tight or stop her from exploring which Charlie wanted to do. After all this new place had all sorts of interesting things to explore, plants to feel, dirt to taste.

She channeled Ms. Tabby to the best of her young ability, Charlie mimicked her nanny scolding Doggyman. She must have been doing it right because the taller man smiled just like Doggyman did before he gently took her from Daddy and looked her over. Was he a new Doggyman? He didn't have the same funny ears as him. Instead, he looked a little like Daddy except for his eyes. His eyes were a soft pink with a rim of gold around the pupil.

He even seemed to have a glow around him that looked a lot like Daddy's magic.

It certainly felt the same when it reached out towards her and tickled at her sides and fingers ever so slightly. It wasn't enough to make her want to send her own magic back at him, not that she knew how, but she did try to grab at it out of curiosity to see if she could touch it. Instead, it phased through her fingers teasingly, evading capture every time.

Before she knew it, the lady called Zadkiel had left the room and the new man Uriel was talking that funny language Daddy sometimes spoke with her. The light around him faded, as did the golden rim around his pupil, and Charlie found herself gently bounced in the stranger's hold as he spoke with Daddy. Daddy still seemed nervous, pacing slightly about as he made weird gestures in the air. They were talking too fast for her to understand not that it mattered. Big people always talk about weird things.

Peeking over Uriel's shoulder, Charlie looked back at the other two in the room. Jophiel seemed to be trying to calm down the healer man who was still covering his ears, his wings jittering in agitation as if something was hurting him. Charlie didn't like that. She didn't like it when others were sad around her like Dai Dai had been when his toy broke. Reaching a hand out towards him, Charlie tried to tell the man she wanted to go to him but was ignored. She tried again, whining louder to get their attention, but all she got was a gentle hush as a hand started to pet her hair. That made her growl a little, frustrated that the man wasn't listening. So she did what she normally did when Doggyman wasn't listening either, or rather she tried to.

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

"I'm telling you, that's what Adam told me happened." Michael groaned, pondering why it was he was defending himself over something the First Man had done.

"And your first response is to take the child rather than tell any of usOW!" Uriel started to say only to yelp when a tiny fist gripped his hair suddenly tightly by the roots of his scalp. He tried to look at the baby the best he could only to feel her yanking his hair as if she was trying to pull him somewhere. "Ouch! Now now, Little One. It's not nice to p-OH!-ull other's hair."

The lot of them stared in surprise as Ava babbled something in her baby language, firmly tugging Uriel's hair again before she seemed to point at something. For a moment, none of them were sure what she was trying to do, thinking that maybe this was just normal behavior of a Hellborn child. After all, none of them had ever dealt with an infant before. Maybe they were naturally a little rougher with others.

A tiny growl of frustration escaped the baby as she reached out once more but instead of pulling Uriel's hair, she pushed his face so that he was looking at Raphael. The oldest of the archangels looked confused as she forced him to look at his second oldest little brother who was still trying his best to stop the ringing in his ears when Ava lifted her arm in a very determined gesture towards the Healer.

'Is... is she telling me where to go?' Uriel thought for a second as he took a step towards Raphael, his eyes fixed on the little girl. He watched her smile as he neared Raphael only to look confused when he suddenly switched directions and stepped toward the doorway. He only managed to get in three steps before Ava let out a whine and reached for Raphael again. "Interesting..."

"Uriel, what are you-?" Jophiel started to ask only for her brother to shush her softly.

Once more he started to move towards Raphael, watching closely as the baby smiled only to whine a second later as he changed course. He repeated this a few more times to see if Ava really did want to reach Raphael, who by now was watching just as confused though still covering his ears. By the fifth time, Ava had had enough, and with a loud and angry 'AH!' Uriel found himself getting slapped square in the face with a small hand.

It wasn't painful, even if she was putting all her strength into it, but Uriel hadn't expected her to hit him.

"Ouch," Uriel uttered, though there was no actual pain in his words as he gently took her hands and held them in his own. "No hitting. That's naughty."

Ava just frowned at him as if to ask him who had started it all before he chuckled. He had perhaps been teasing the little thing too much. There was just something about her that made him curious, wanting to test and study what she would do when push came to shove. After all, he could see when she babbled that she had teeth, and while holding her hand he could feel the tiny kitten's sharp claws. And yet despite her irritation over his teasing, she hadn't instinctively used either against him.

"Alright. I'm sorry for teasing," He chuckled gently rubbing his thumb against her hand, discreetly testing the sharpness of her claws to see if she could do any harm with them, as he walked over to Raphael. "Raph? I think our little guest wants to say hello."

Raphael looked nervously at his brother while he held the child out towards him. He wasn't sure as to whether or not he wanted her near him. She had been fine during his examination but the scream she had let out was more than he could handle. Add to the fact that he had now also watched her pull Uriel's hair as well as hit him, the healer was unsure if he was the next target of the child's ire. If his siblings, whom he had grown up with were difficult for him to read on even the best of days, what chance did he have in understanding a strange being from a completely different plane?

Raphael shied away from her for a moment as Uriel held her out to him, ignoring his sounds of protest as the child was placed in his hands.

"I don't think this is a good idea Ur-" Jophiel started only to be surprised as Ava reached a small hand out and suddenly patted Raphael's face.

This wasn't a slap like she had given Uriel. The move was slow and gentle as if she was trying to say 'there there'. Scarlet eyes looked worried into emerald green ones. Raphael had no idea what he was to do now. He felt awkward, unsure if he was holding her right or what he was supposed to do now that she was in his arms. Was he supposed to make a face? Talk to her? What did mortals do when they held infants like... what did Michael call her? Ava? Looking nervously at his siblings, Raphael hoped for someone, anyone to give him an idea of what he was supposed to do.

Only, it looked like the others were just as clueless as he was.

"Um... hello... Ava," He said slowly, shifting her to sit more comfortably on his arm, his wings quivering uneasily, ready to reach out and catch her should he somehow drop her. How fragile were babies anyway? From the corner of his eyes, Raphael saw Jophiel urging him on with an encouraging 'go on' gesture and a thumbs up. "Um, err... so how do you feel?"

There was a loud snort of amusement somewhere in the room as well as a hand slapping against a forehead. Raphael wasn't sure who it was but he was pretty certain the snort was from Uriel.

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

Charlie looked curiously at the man. He wasn't sad anymore but he wasn't happy either. If anything, he looked scared. Why she still wasn't sure, but his magic was nice enough. It felt a little like Daddy's too, but it acted more like Auntie Bel's, poking and prodding gently around her, checking and checking again to make sure she didn't have any owwies or ickies. It was especially gentle near the place he had poked her with the needle.

Was that why he was scared? Did he think she was mad at him?

While she had been upset that they had surprised her with the poke, Charlie was used to them thanks to Auntie Bel and Daddy always wanted to be sure she wasn't sick. And he did seem like he was sorry for doing it, so Charlie was sure he couldn't be a bad person. But it seemed he didn't know that she thought that.

Well, she would just have to show him that she thought that.

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

It happened too fast for Raphael to properly react to it.

He was using his grace discreetly to check Ava over again, wanting to be sure that he hadn't hurt her when she had pulled away from him while drawing blood. It was interesting, to say the least as his magic gently washed over her, feeling her own curiously poking back. Raphael had never worked with a Hellborn before so he didn't exactly have anything to compare notes to regarding what was normal and what wasn't. Maybe they weren't as susceptible to celestial magic as rumors claimed, she certainly hadn't shown any distress when Uriel had tested it and she wasn't now that he was. She didn't seem unnerved by it so maybe Hell's Healers possessed some form of magic too?

'Interesting. Do Hellborn possess magic as well?' Raphael thought, his urge to study her more closely growing in him. It wasn't every day that he got to discover something new after all, nor was this an opportunity that he might ever get again. Sure, this wasn't his usual area of interest but he was a man of healing and that meant also understanding the unknown. 'Regarding her tail, I wonder if demons can subspace theirs like our wings or-'

Without warning, Ava reached out a hand had gently patted it on his head. She was babbling something softly, most likely mimicking something someone had done to her. As methodically as possible for a child her age, Ava patted as much of his hair as she could reach as softly as she could before she blew on it. Or rather she tried to. She didn't seem to be able to do it without making an 'oo' raspberry sound and Raphael felt it more his face than its intended target.

It surprised him.

While rusty in her delivery, Raphael felt a wave of familiarity wash over him. Like that, he knew what she was doing and even what she had been trying to say. He knew this gesture from somewhere, but he wasn't sure where. And he knew it was meant to comfort him. Had he seen someone do this before? Or maybe he had witnessed a Winner comforting a child by doing the same back when he had time to venture out and walk about in the lower rings of Heaven. But somehow it felt older than that.

A sudden growl caught everyone's attention as Ava gave a small whine. She was getting hungry and while the milk she had been given before was nice, she needed something more filling to sustain her growing body. Raphael was pretty thankful for it, happy to be distracted by something more in his field of expertise than having to dig through the catacombs of his memories. Not that he needed to be a healer to guess what it was Ava needed.

"When has she last been fed?"

All eyes instantly turned to Michael since he was clearly the one who had been with Ava the most. Michael of course had to think for a minute as he tried to recall when it was. He knew Adam had given her the skin of milk but that was before the impromptu nap they both took. When he told Raphael this, the Healer looked annoyed. He didn't know a lot about children and even less about Hellborn, but he was sure they needed more food than just milk. She had teeth after all. Surely she could eat solids.

"We should feed her before she gets too hungry," He stated calmly as he inspected her teeth carefully, barely missing getting bitten. "She should have enough teeth to chew solid foods. Milk won't be enough to sustain her."

Before anyone could say a word of protest, Raphael immediately turned on his heels and walked out the door with Ava in tow. It shouldn't have surprised anyone that he would, when Raphael decided on something, there was no stopping him from doing it. Ava however giggled as she saw all their confused faces, finding them incredibly funny.

"Ba ba." She called as her tiny hand waved at them before her thumb found her mouth once more.

Michael blinked for a moment before he suddenly realized where Raphael was heading. He was going to the dining hall, the place where they always ate their meals. It was logical after all, he was thinking of feeding Ava and to feed her they would need to go where food was. There was just one slight problem with his plan though.

The dining hall was the same place where the Heavenly Counsel dined. The one group of angels Michael didn't want to see Ava.

"Raphael wait!"

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

"This is unsanitary." Raphael did not look pleased as they sat in Jophiel's private quarters.

The group had managed to stop Raphael before he got too far down the hallways, with Michael quickly snatching Ava from his hold. Raphael didn't approve of the idea of eating in someone's room even if it was clean. It wasn't what they were taught growing up after all. But Michael insisted to prevent a panic, they needed to keep Ava a secret as much as possible which Raphael could sort of understand.

"Well it's the safest and cleanest place for us to feed her in," Michael argued as he looked over the food they had summoned while seating Ava safely in his lap. "There's too high of a chance someone coming to my office as well as yours. Besides she can't eat in your office, not with all your plants surrounding us."

"Yet you deem this as a better choice?" Raphael questioned while pushing a pile of what might be clothing to the side so he could sit.

"Well..." Michael trailed off for a moment.

To say they were surprised by the state of Jophiel's room would be an understatement. As a fledgling, Michael recalled that the room had always been very neat and tidy, with everything having its place when not in use. He could remember a few times when he and Samael would hide out in her room, napping on her soft bed while she would read them tales of their feather's history as if they were stories. He could even remember how she had taught them or rather tried to teach him, how to sew over by her drawing table that stood proudly in the center of the room. He had never been any good at it, often pricking his fingers on the needle of sewing things together wrong, but Samael... Samael had loved it. He had truly enjoyed stitching together bits of fabric to create whatever imaginary creatures he had dreamt up, even using them sometimes later during their meetings to show Father.

Michael could remember the first day they entered their oldest sister's room because it was also the day he climbed a tree for the first time. It was funny because he could remember being very proud about climbing it successfully but as to why they had gone to Jophiel after... he couldn't remember. Maybe it was because Samael had gotten hurt falling. He was always tripping a lot back then and tended to cry from what remembered.

Now however Jophiel's room was a marsh pit of chaos and neglected interests. Her clothing was tossed half haphazardly into her wardrobe, making the doors buckle from the pressure of being shut, and what Michael assumed was her bed lay buried under papers and forgotten dirty robes. Mail and scrolls were strewed about the room like wildflowers and everywhere one looked there were crumbled-up pieces of paper and broken quills. Even the prized drawing table had been shoved into a corner, banished to make space for more trash.

"Oh come on. It's not so bad," Jophiel tried to reason as she tried in vain to tidy up, stuffing a few things into a bag as quickly as she could. "I just need to sort things out and everything will be as It used to-"

"You just put an open jar of paint in that," Raphael suddenly stated as he wiped what he hoped was a table off with rubbing alcohol. It was unnerving to discover the wood was light brown and not black like he first had thought. "You do realize that's a pillow case, Jophiel."

"It's what now?" Jophiel blinked before she looked properly at the 'bag she was using only to yell in horror as she watched the paint stain the satin. "Shoot!"

"It really is messy in here," Raphael added, glancing around. "You should clean up more often.

Both Jophiel and Michael had to bite their tongue so that they wouldn't snap at him. Raphael wasn't any better than Jophiel. His room was a lot like his office, overtaken by plants and once a year covered in a pollen blanket so thick, even with masks on it was hard to breathe in the room. They all knew this because like clockworks, once a year Sera would be screaming at him for spreading yellow dust everywhere he went and touched.

And Michael was certain if any of them saw his bedroom, they would question when he had taken up raising dust bunnies the size of small dogs. He might as well be paying them lodgings costs given they were there more than he was!

No, it had been wise to not suggest his room.

"Look, let's just focus on getting some food into Ava so she doesn't get upset... again." Michael urged as helped the tot hold a chalice to drink from. Ava seemed a little confused by it but managed to drink a bit of it though some of the juice spilled onto her yellow dress, staining the fabric a slight red. "Believe me, she can be really loud when she's upset."

"We know." Raphael and Jophiel answered in chorus, recalling the scream Ava gave when Raph had poked her.

Ignoring their deadpanned stars, Michael looked at the food they had summoned to feed the child. Honestly, he had no idea what children even ate. So they just went with what they knew tasted good but was healthy according to Raphael.

"Okay Ava," Michael took a deep breath as he picked a few things and placed them in front of the girl. "Let's see what you like."

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

Although it wasn't a lot of food by the Archangels' standards, to Charlie the choices were overwhelming. She found herself easily looking at many fruits and treats she had never seen before in her short life. Like a huge round green striped ball as well as a strange prickly hair red ball. There were star-shaped fruits and even a strange oval-shaped green one that faded into red which smelled incredibly sweet to her. Then there were fruits she already knew thanks to Daddy, Mommy, and Ms. Tabby like apples, bananas, and oranges.

The first thing Daddy handed her was a funny-looking pointed oval that was bright yellow. Charlie watched curiously as Daddy cut it in half, revealing that it was white and yellow on the inside too, making the same pattern as an orange did. He was saying something to the others when Charlie reached out and took half of the strange fruit and sniffed it. It had a nice smell to it, but it wasn't one she knew too well. It reminded her of the smell Mommy's food sometimes had when she ate fish. Curious, Charlie immediately popped the half piece of fruit into her mouth and bit down.

And just as quickly threw it halfway across the room with a yell.

She had never tasted anything so bitter and sour in her life. It was practically burned on her tongue as she did her best to spit as much of the juice out as she could. Daddy must have been surprised because he gave a yell of surprise and tried to give her something to drink. The juice in the weird cup wasn't something she was used to either and while it too had a tangy taste, it was still sweet enough for her to drink. Not like the... whatever it was he had given her. She didn't want that again, that was for sure.

So she wasn't happy when Daddy tried to give her the other half and growled.

"Okay, so lemons are a no," Daddy said with a nervous laugh. "Maybe an apple instead? Or lychees..."

"Grapes could be a good choice." Jophiel added, placing a cluster of grapes in front of her on a plate while Daddy placed an apple and one of the prickly red balls there too.

Charlie watched curiously as they all stopped to watch her, waiting for something. Charlie wasn't sure what because she was waiting for Daddy to cut up the apple like he always did. Daddy was being very silly today and while she usually loved that side of him, Charlie was starting to get tired of it as her tummy was starting to growl. Was he trying to get her to try something new? That's what Ms. Tabby did after all, giving Charlie a little of something new to try every day and making her taste it. But Charlie didn't want to do that now, she wanted food.

Huffing, Charlie took the apple and tried to bite it. The keyword being tried. No matter how hard she pressed against it, or how wide she opened her mouth, Charlie simply couldn't get enough of the apple into her mouth to take a bit. It was frustrating, to say the least! Annoyed, she dropped the apple to the floor with a whine before looking back at the plate for something easier, smaller. She didn't like the look of the pocky things so she instead tried to grab some of the grapes that Jophiel had given her.

The grapes were much easier to take ahold of, fitting into her hand with ease. She squished the first one she took and giggled when it hopped out of her hand and bounced across the table like a ball.

So grapes were a funny food, but were they tasty?

Popping on in her mouth, Charlie chomped down on it and was not disappointed. The taste was savory but sweet, like an orange without the sourness. Best of all, they were bit-sized so she could easily eat them without problems. Grabbing another small handful, Charlie started to eat with gusto, finally happy to have something in her tummy.

It was weird though, why had Daddy never given her these before?

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

In the meantime, Adam was not a happy camper. Far from it. He had been trying for hours now to get Sera's attention, thinking up of anything to use as an excuse to get a new concealment spell put on him or to set up a meeting with Luci-dick in Hell. Anything to fix their little fuck up or bring a Hellborn to Heaven.

And the sooner the better because he was starting to get a bad feeling about how Michael and Gabriel were reacting to the little bitter.

Not to get him wrong, the twerp was cute in her own special Hellish sort of way, but she didn't belong in Heaven. She didn't have wings, nor would she fit in as she grew. Hell, for all they knew, she could grow into a massive monster and tear everything and everyone apart one day. Not to mention they didn't know who the kid was and if there was one thing Adam knew about animals, it was to be wary of cute little baby animals. Cause wherever the babies were, a very pissed-off and protective mama wasn't far behind.

That and Michael was starting to show signs of getting attached too. They had named her after all, which was never a good sign. He knew that from his kids always dragging some weird and half-wild beast home, pleading for him to let them keep it as a pet of sorts. Some of them were okay enough, like Seth's goose although there were days when both he and Eve were ready to wring the damn animal's neck for hissing and biting them. Needless to say, they weren't too sad the day Mr. Honky died. Or when his oldest daughter Noaba had stumbled upon an oxen calf that grew to help him plow the fields.

But then there were other animals his children had brought home, the dangerous ones. Seth had once found a serpent when Eve quickly cut the head off before it could strike any of them and his girls Sifa and Saba had once found a lost stripped kitten with they had brought home. That kitten turned out to be a tiger cub and it had been hell for him to chase the pissed-off mother away from his own family. Eve had been pregnant at the time with possible Brabal or Maza, he wasn't sure what the order was anymore, and it had taken grabbing the cub and throwing it at its mother to make her leave. His girls had been deeply upset over losing their pet but it hadn't stopped him from tearing into them both about bringing shit home they didn't know what was.

Not that it stopped it from happening again when Naat decided to outdo his sisters by trying to capture a bear cub to have as a pet. When Adam had found out, Naat had been one very sorry boy who ended up spending a few days sleeping on his stomach, but at least it stopped the lot of them from bringing home more animals for a while.

Anyway, he was just about to catch Sera between meetings when Zadkiel told him that he needed to go with her. At first, he blew her off, thinking the Virtue of Mercy was just trying to convince him to allow his girls to rest from training, but when she said it was about their special little guest, Adam knew he was screwed. It didn't take a genius to guess she was referring to Ava and if she knew about the baby then who knew who else did.

He needed to get this mess under control before everything would blow up in his face.

So Sera would have to wait as they made their way over to Raphs office only to meet Uriel halfway there and get told that they needed to go to Jophiel's room instead. By the time they could see Jophiel's bedroom door, Adam was already fuming. Despite being the top angels in Heaven, Adam couldn't help but feel that they could be a couple of fickle bird brains, constantly deciding one thing and then changing their mind faster then the weather could go from sunny to rainy to windy, then rain and sunny again in England. But what could he do? He might be the First Man, the Dick Master, and the Leader of the Exterminators, but they were the Archangels. You couldn't argue with them or say no when one of them said 'come here'.

Not that they knew he was leading the Exterminators. That was a secret between him and Sera to help cull Hell's population as well as keep the Sinners in line, especially the ones who were looking for ways to fuck with Heaven and Earth.

After all, monsters of mythology didn't come from nowhere after all.

On the other hand, Adam was curious about how Michael was doing with the little monster. The man had been pretty clueless when he had left him holding the twerp, needing help in just holding the baby right. He was curious as to whether or not the idiot had managed somehow to figure things out on how to keep the kid calm or if it was stubborn pride that had prevented him from summoning him sooner.

Not that he was worried about 'Ava' or anything. She wasn't his problem after all. He just didn't want to get blamed if it got out that they had a Hellborn in Heaven.

"Fucking hell, Michael," Adam grumbled as he shoved the door to Jophiel's open, a scowl on his face as he huffed loudly in exasperation. "What happened to keep all this hush-hush?"

Looking up at the small group, Adam stared in disbelief. Not because of the ridiculous scene of the three angels sitting on the floor surrounding a small table covered in fruit, but because they were sitting in what he honestly thought was a trash hoard.

Back when he had been mortal, Adam had thought his kids were messy growing up. He could remember often coming home after a long day of working the fields to Eve trying to balance preparing their food gathering dirty clothing and clearing the few toys their children had. His sons and daughters would also often be covered in mud and leaves from playing or completing their daily chores, spreading the mess about their home as they would run back and forth. Adam couldn't count the amount of times Eve would scold the lot for making a mess or he would have to be after them for not taking care of their things.

'I've seen dumpsters in Hell that are less messy than this room,' Adam thought with disgust. It must have shown on his face because Jophiel looked embarrassed. 'And Sera bitched about my room being a fucking mess.'

Glancing down at the table, Adam was relieved that the angels had at least thought of feeding the kid. He wasn't sure why they were only giving her fruit to eat. Adam's own experience told him that kids needed more than sugary sweets, but hey it was a start. It wasn't like he had high expectations from a group of angels who didn't even know how to hold a baby, so the bar wasn't exactly set high to start with. Entering with a huff, Adam couldn't help but scan the table to see what they had picked out for the little hellion to eat. Most of it seemed fine, though Adam was wondering why they had set an apple in front of the little one without cutting it into pieces for her. She had wanted it given he could see the dents in its shape as well as the drool on it. Did they think she could just bite into it herself? Her mouth wasn't that big so they should have realized it was impossible.

"Adam, good of you to join us," Uriel started, his voice sugary sweet. Adam mentally groaned. He knew that voice all too well. Hell, he had invented it! It was the same tone he had used on his kids when they thought they were being sly and pulling a fast one over him. It was the silence before the storm and Adam wasn't going to fall for it. "So, I've heard something very interesting today..."

It took Adam all of three seconds to drown Uriel out, a skill he had nearly mastered thanks to Sera's long-winded lectures. He knew when to tune in for the important bits of whatever the hell it was Uriel wanted to talk about. So as Uriel, as Uriel droned on in a flippant story where they all knew it would end with him demanding to know just why Adam had been down in Hell to start with, Adam tried to focus on anything but himself.

At first, he just looked around the room, wondering if Jophiel had simply forgotten to summon a maid to clean her room since a lot of the clothes looked like they needed washing. Everything in the room looked like it had been tossed about or jammed into some place to either be someone else's problem or to be dealt with at a later date.

'Which will be on the sixth of never,' Adam thought as he remembered hounding Cain and Abel about doing their chores or cleaning up. Thinking about his two firstborn sons, Adam couldn't help but fondly recall the first years with Cain when the boy would throw a tantrum over having to take a bath. 'That little brat was always so damn stubborn. The only thing we never had to fight him about was food-'

As Adam was scanning the room for something new to focus on, his eyes briefly passed over Ava before frowning. He wasn't sure at first what it was, but somewhere in the back of his mind, an alarm bell was ringing. It was very loud, just a slight whisper like the hinges were rusty and needed to break free, but it was loud enough to send a little chill down his spine. So Adam looked at Ava again, trying to piece together what it was that he was worried about.

Was she demeaning out? No, Ava looked calm and happy, her small hand reaching out towards the table. Did she have a knife?! No... there weren't any on the table because the angels didn't use them to cut up their food. They just used their magic-sorry 'grace' as Sera kept telling him- to cut the fruit in half so that wasn't a weapon for her to gran if she could. Instead, Adam watched her small pudgy hands grab a few grapes and pop them eagerly into her mouth, her cheeks puffing like chipmunks as she reached for more.

'Huh... she must really like grapes,' Adam thought with a loop-sided smile. He still wasn't sure what he was feeling uneasy about. His kids had liked them too. Especially Cain- 'Wait a minute. Grapes?!'

* * * Flash Back * * *

Adam groaned loudly as he allowed himself to drop down onto the furs that was their bed. His body ached from plowing and watering the fields, his skin itching from the dust as well as the slight sunburn he was starting to peel from. It used to be that he and Eve would work most of the field together but ever since their son was born, Eve had struggled to do both while caring for Cain. They thought it was hard when he was a baby, forcing Eve to swaddle him and carry him on her back as they worked, stopping every few hours or so to breastfeed him when he would wail. It had only taken them two months before both agreed it would be best for Eve to remain close to home and care for the newborn while he worked outside.

It hadn't been optimal but it was what worked for them. But Adam had thought the older Cain got, things would get easier.

Instead, God seemed to have added to their punishment for Eden. From the moment Cain discovered he could move on his own, the little brat was nothing but trouble. He'd crawl off to God knows where, poke at anything that caught his attention for more than three seconds, and to add insult to injury, he hogged Eve's breast for himself at night to feed on. Those were Adam's boobs dang it! But Eve wouldn't let him touch them while they produced milk for their son.

And worst of all, Adam couldn't bring himself to hate the kid for it.

There was just something about being a father that seemed to fill Adam with something. Something that Eve could never provide. That wasn't to say he didn't love her, she was his wife. He couldn't not love her but with Cain... with Cain, the love was different... special. He would give his life for him if it meant he could keep him safe.

"Adam? Can you watch Cain for a bit?" Eve suddenly asked, standing over him as she held their son safely in her arms. The boy was about two years old now, with thick wavy brown hair and rich chocolate brown eyes. His skin was lightly tanned from running about outside after his Mama and he had lost a fair bit of the baby fat he was born with now that he was walking too. Which meant he was discovering new chaos to stress his parents about. "I need to fetch some more water to cook the vegetables with."

"I can get the water," Adam offered despite feeling bone tired. He honestly just wanted to nap on the furs until dinner time but he also understood that what he wanted wasn't always what he got. Field world was hard, but he knew Eve didn't stay in the homestead, lazing the day away. She was probably tired too but in a different way. "Just... give me a second and I-"

"No, you should rest a bit," Before he could get up, Eve had already placed Cain on top of him, the boy squealing with joy as he cuddled into his father's chest. "You've been outside working all day and I could use the break getting the water. Besides, Cain's been missing his Dada, haven't you Cain?"

"Dada!" The boy cheered, hugging Adam happily around the neck as tightly as he could. It made Adam smile despite being tired, though he did have to pull the boy off a little. Sometimes it was frightening to realize that little human arms are just the right size to chock someone when they would squeeze too tight. "Dada home."

"That's right Cain, Dada's home," summoning the energy for God knows only where, Adam sat up and lifted the boy high in the air, making him giggle loudly before looking at Eve. "You sure? I know you're tired too."

"I'm sure. I've been with Cain all day. He needs some time with you too," Eve assured him. Truthfully it was also because she wanted to get out of the hut for a bit and enjoy some peace from the overly active boy. "I promise I won't be long and after supper, you can rest."

"Alright."

And with that, they both agreed on what to do. Eve grabbed the water skins to take down to the river and fill and Adam sat up from his bed and cuddled their son. And despite how tired he was from working, Adam was thankful for the time he got with the boy. At first, they played a little with the few toys Adam had managed to carve out of wood for Cain, small figurines of animals, and human-like figurines. Often Cain would set the figures up in their farm, playing out how he saw his parents go about their day with the 'dada' carving going out to work or hunt while the 'mama' took care of the home and 'baby'. It always warmed Adam's heart when the 'baby' would get excited on the 'dada's return home, the pair slamming together to symbolize them hugging each other tightly.

It made Adam happy to know that Cain still loved him dearly despite not being around for most of the day.

After a while though, Cain got tired of playing 'farm' and whined as his tummy growled from hunger. Adam sighed as he walked to the door to see if he could see where Eve was. The river wasn't far, but filled waterskins were heavy and while Eve wasn't weak, she wasn't as strong as he was. And even then, it took Adam a bit of time too to carry it all home. It would be a while before she'd be back, and even longer to make supper.

The thought of having to wait longer to get to eat wasn't a pleasant one in Adam's mind as he was hungry too from working the fields but he knew he could wait a bit. Cain however couldn't. The child didn't have the same patience as the adults and while he didn't eat as much as they did, Adam and Eve had learned quickly that a hungry Cain could easily become a very angry Cain.

Sometimes, Adam wasn't sure what he would rather deal with; a hungry son or a ravenous wolf.

"Hmm, I think Mama's gonna be a while Cain," Adam muttered as he saw no sign of his wife anywhere. Looking back at his son, Adam was instantly hit with the biggest puppy dog eyes he had ever seen. Ruffling the brown mop, Adam walked over to their food baskets to see if he could find something to stave off the boy's hunger. "Let's see if Dada can find ya a snack, hm?"

Pulling the basket over to the slab they used to eat from, Adam slowly pulled out some of the different fruits and vegetables that Eve had managed to gather from the local woodlands. Fortune had been on her side as there were apples, strawberries, oranges, some different edible mushrooms, and medicinal herbs in the basket. Adam even grinned when he saw she had managed to find some clusters of grapes, a treat that they rarely got to enjoy now that they were banished from paradise.

"Nice job, Eve," Adam cheered as he set the food on the slab and started to check the mushrooms to see if any bad ones had sneaked their way into the batch. 'Last time we got a bad one in the mix and I swear I thought I was going to die from the shits. Don't want that happening again, especially not to Cain.' "Here Cain. You can eat some of these grapes until Mama comes back. They're yummy."

As Cain happily took the grapes, Adam set about checking the mushrooms. He could hear Cain rolling the grapes curiously on the slab, curious about the new food that he had never had before. That was fine with Adam as long as he didn't squish anything or start playing with it too much. If that happened, Eve was going to pitch a fit for both the mess and wasting food.

He was still checking the mushrooms when Cain started tapping him on the shoulder.

"Sorry, buddy. No more grapes. Mama will be back soon to make supper. You're gonna have to wait," Adam told him, frowning as he looked at one questionable mushroom that he wasn't sure about. He set it aside, making a mental note to try and feed it to a wild animal and see how it would react after. He was about to take another one to check when Cain started hitting his shoulder harder to the point where it was getting painful. "I said no Cain."

Without warning, Cain suddenly smacked Adam in the back of the head with all the strength a two-year-old possessed. It surprisingly hurt, making Adam drop the mushrooms he was looking at. And it was enough to make Adam angry. He wouldn't put up with getting hit, not since his first wife had slapped him across the face. Growling, Adam turned around to glare at the boy and give him a piece of his mind.

"Cain! You do not hit Dada, understand?!" Adam barked angrily when noticed something was off. "Cain? You okay buddy?"

If Adam didn't know better, he would say Cain looked scared, his eyes wide in confusion as his hand seemed to grasp around his throat. His mouth was open too, like he wanted to say something but nothing came out beyond a raspy wheeze. His lips were starting to change color too, changing from their usual soft pink to a pale blue.

"Cain? Cain?!" Adam felt the panic set in as Cain started to struggle to stand, his hands now clawing at his throat, when Adam finally understood.

Cain couldn't breathe!

"CAIN!"

Rushing to his feet, Adam tried to force the boy's head back so he could see what was stopping his son from breathing. Had his tongue swollen? Had he been stung by a bee? Adam wasn't sure as he couldn't see anything in the boy's mouth. Forcing the now struggling boy to open his mouth wider, Adam looked the best he could done his throat and saw it.

There, trapped in the child's throat was one single grape. It wasn't very big but for a small child like Cain, it was the perfect size to lodge itself in his throat and block the airways.

"Fuck! Cain! Come on, buddy!" Fear ripped through Adam's body and soul. He knew that Cain needed to breathe in order to live. If he couldn't breathe, then his son, his firstborn child would die before ever reaching adulthood. "I got you! Dada's got you!"

Truthfully Adam had no idea what he was doing. Chocking had never been a danger for him, Lilith, and Eve. They were adults after all, their throats too big to be endangered by something as small as a grape. Why hadn't the angels warned them about this and what to do?! Rubbing the boy's back, Adam hoped that it would some how help.

"Come on Cain. Breath for me, buddy," Adam pleaded as Cain started to turn paler and paler, his body starting to sag. "Breath Cain! DAMN IT BREATH!"

Without thinking, Adam slammed his hand as hard as he could into Cain's back. The moment he did, Adam heard something hitting the floor before Cain let out a loud gasp before breaking into a coughing fit that left him gasping for air. Once he somewhat had his breathing under control, Cain let out a massive wail for fear. Adam had honestly never been happier to hear Cain wailing loudly in his life, quickly gathering his little boy into his arms as he rocked him back and forth.

"It's okay buddy. I've got you, Cain," Adam assured him, petting the thick mop of hair as he felt his son's tears quickly wetting his chest. "Dada's got you."

* * * Flash Back Ends * * *

No sooner had Adam recalled the horrifying memory when he watched in slow motion Ava grabbing two more grapes and stuffing them in her mouth. She looked fine and happy for a moment when suddenly her small body stiffened with confusion as a high-pitched wheeze escaped her throat. It wasn't very loud, the angels didn't even notice it, but for Adam, it may as well have been a canon fire right next to his ear. He recognized that sound too easily. Cain had been their first child to try choking on food, but he wasn't the last. Nearly all of Adam and Eve's brood had tried choking on something at some point, be it food, an insect bite, an allergic reaction, or rocks.

And no, he still couldn't explain why it was Anath had had a need to stuff rocks in his nose or suck on them.

Reaction as fast as he could, Adam rushed over and ripped Ava out of Michael's hold. The angel yelled in protest, telling him to be gentle but Adam ignored her as he immediately flipped her face down on his left arm and instantly started to smack her back. He watched as one grape fell out of her mouth but she didn't start crying as he paused for a moment, something his experience had told him she should be doing. After all, he wasn't being gentle with her, and demon or not, he was certain any baby would start crying after getting struck on the back.

"Adam what are-?!" Zadkiel yelled in a panic when Adam started hitting Ava's back again.

"Spititout! Spititout! Spititout! Spit it out!" Adam demanded as he kept on whacking Ava's back. With a final well-placed thump to her back, Adam heard the loud choked cough as Ava finally hacked up the offending grape that had been trapped in her throat making Adam's wings sag in relief. "Oh thank fuck."

"Have you lost your mind?" Michael demanded as Ava finally let out a frightened cry. Grabbing her from Adam's hold, Michael gently hushed her, gently rubbing her back while Adam collapsed onto the floor in a heap of relief. "Why did you hit her?"

For a moment, Adam stared at Michael in utter confusion. Was Michael, Archangels, and Virtue of Leadership and Protection, giving him shit for saving the fucking kid?! Had none of them noticed that she was choking?! As anger boiled beneath his skin, Adam rose to his feet and glared at Michael, the fact that the man stood a head taller than him pissing Adam off. It was like looking at that little prick back in Hell but the views reversed. Not that it stopped Adam from jabbing a finger as hard as he could into his shoulder without hitting the sobbing Ava.

"I just fucking saved her, you idiot!" Adam snapped. Seeing their confused expressions, Adam mentally screamed in frustration as he realized once more that not a single one of the Archangels had any idea on how to take care of a child in any form. It was going back in time and seeing his past self foundering about and trying to keep his kids from dying. "The grapes, you idiot. You can't feed a baby whole grapes."

"Why would grapes be a problem?" Raphael asked, looking curiously at the cluster as if they might randomly grow a mouth and tell them their murderous secrets. "They aren't poisonous and considered healthy for consumption."

"No when they are whole," Adam groaned before looking at the table in disbelief. "What the fuck did you think was gonna happen when she ate 'em?"

The silence was almost deafening as each of the siblings looked at each other with a confused expression, making Adam's facepalmed louder than Ava's cries. Running a hand over his face, Adam looked at the food they had provided for the little girl and was reminded once more that apparently, these Archangels knew about everything except how to care for a small child.

'If I leave her alone with them, they're gonna kill her.' He thought as he felt a headache slowly coming on. "Fuck my... give her here and I'll show you what to do."

* * * Hazbin Hotel * * *

To say it was weird having so many eyes on him as he fed Ava, was an understatement. It felt weird like he was some sort of monkey in those mortal zoos being ogled and studied. He had started simple, dismissing most of the food as it was too much for a little tot like Ava and she needed something more varied to eat. In the end, he settled on some buttered toast with liver paste cutting into tiny squares, some thinly sliced steamed carrots, and some apple slices and quartered grapes. And if Ava was upset at Adam for hitting her back, she wasn't showing any signs of it as she happily took the pieces of food and stuffed them into her mouth.

"Babies her age don't have a whole lot of teeth, so they can't chew for shit," Adam explained as he handed her a steamed carrot. Ava popped into her mouth before immediately spitting it out when Adam fed her another one under protest. "Ah ah, that's a no-go, puppet. Gotta eat those, they're good for ya."

"If she couldn't chew the grapes why did she take them?" Zadkiel asked, watching fixated as Ava begrudgingly ate the carrot but still stuck her tongue out in disgust.

"Fuck me you guys really are clueless. Babies don't know shit about the world and pretty much cram anything into their mouth," Adam groaned as he kept giving Ava the soft carrots. She spat it out again but he summoned a spoon and mushed up the rest before feeding it to her. "Yeah, I know short stuff. I think they taste like shit too soft, but it's good for yah."

The angels kept watching Adam feed the mash to Ava who begrudgingly ate it, every once in a while making grabby hands at him where he would hand her a cup of water and help her drink. Uriel was honestly surprised at how well Adam was able to understand the child's nonverbal cues. It was like Adam was speaking a secret language with her that none of them were privy to. It was truly amazing to watch.

And utterly annoying too. He wasn't used to being left out.

"How do you know what she wants?" Zadkiel asked as Adam handed Ava finally the apple slices and grapes. Ava immediately grabbed an apple slice and bit into it, munching away as her other hand grabbed at the grapes, squishing them between her fingers. "Ah, Ava, don't do that. That's-"

"It's fine, she's exploring the feel of it. Give her a second and she'll probably cram it in her mouth too. See?" Sure enough, not a second later, Ava pushed the mess into her mouth, smearing more of her face and clothes as she ate. "And I've had a lot of practice, remember? Twenty-eight kids? You don't go through all that shit and randomly forget it."

"She's getting messy," Jophiel commented as Ava grabbed another handful of grapes and then looked at Uriel and then her hand slowly.

"Good thing kids are washable," Adam smirked, having an idea of what was about to happen. He had seen that expression plenty of times to know that Ava had gotten an idea into her head and was now trying to figure out with her young mind how to carry it out. It was the look of mischief, one he had seen on his kids time and time again, though Abel had been the first. Waiting for the right moment to strike, Adam reached out fast to grasp Ava's hand when she went to throw the masked grapes at him. "Oh no you don't, Missy. Yah don't waste food." She let out an 'oof' sound as if she was disappointed in being foiled. "Yeah, I'm a jerk for ruining yah fun. If yah ready to throw food around, then Imma guessing yah done."

Looking around Adam tried to see if there was anything he could use to wipe the little one's hands and face off with. He debated on taking one of the discarded pieces of clothes on the floor to clean Ava off with but thought better against it as he wasn't exactly sure which one was cleaner. It was then he spotted some white rag lying on top of a shelf with a bunch of other trinkets. Getting up, Adam headed towards it while Michael struggled to keep Ava from wiping her messy fingers on his white robe.

"Alright, Trouble Maker. Let's get you cleaned up." He mused as he reached for it only to feel a sudden iron grip on his wrist.

"Don't touch that!" Jophiel snapped.

For the first since having met her, Adam was surprised by the Angel's sudden anger. Jophiel wasn't one for rash emotions. Sure she could be frazzled and stressed, but she was patient and forgiving, always moving and speaking with an unknown charisma that just made her appear all the more graceful and beautiful to anyone she saw or spoke with. Even when she was at her most disheveled, Jophiel still managed to have an air of beauty around her that reminded everyone, if just mildly, why she was also known as God's Beauty. She was the rose of the Heavenly garden so to speak.

Which made it all the easier to forget she processed thorns too.

As beautiful as she could be, Jophiel could be just as terrifying. Her normally soft red and pink-hued wings looked like they were ablaze behind her and her grace shined brightly with the unkempt blonde curls puff around her like a halo. And while Adam didn't show, he felt his heart skip several beats in fear as his golden eyes peered into her firey amber ones, the color akin to molten lava. Had he been a lesser angel or even mortal, her grip would have broken his hand clean off, the bones already protesting her hold even now. But just as quickly as she had grabbed a hold of his wrist, Jophiel seemed to calm and released him with a look of embarrassment.

"Sorry, it's just... this is something very important to me." Jophiel softly apologized as she gently picked up the dusty old rag.

It was only then that Adam saw it wasn't a random piece of cloth but some sort of stuffed animal. Or rather thing. It wasn't like anything Adam had ever seen before, at least not in Eden or during his time on Earth. To start with, he could tell it was very old, the stitching going up already in several places and a lot of the stuffing had dissolved over time, making the toy look deflated and limp in the angel's hands. Looking hard at it, Adam thought it looked like a bird of some sort but without a head or tail.

"You kept it?" Adam almost jumped as Michael's voice broke the silence. Uriel had summoned a wet rag to wipe Ava's hands and face, the little girl struggling lightly to get away.

"Of course I did," She answered, a sad smile on her lips as she cradled the toy in her hands, holding it like a baby bird she was afraid would die if she either dropped it or held it too tightly. "S-... it was his first. His luff that he worked so hard on. It... I couldn't part with it."

Placing it back on the shelf, Adam wanted to as what the ever living fuck a luff was. He had never heard that name before nor did he have a clue what they were. At least he didn't think he had. But as much as he wanted to ask about it, Adam had the feeling he was somehow in the middle of a personal conversation that he wasn't sure he was supposed to hear. It didn't take a genius to see that the mood had mellowed significantly.

Adam didn't like it. It was making him uncomfortable.

"Err.. yeah, so..." He rubbed the back of his neck, trying to think of something to distract them from whatever was making them uncomfortable. "Now that she's fed, you'll need to keep her entertained until bedtime. Whenever that is... you guys have a pen or toys for her ta with?"

Once more he was met with blank stares before groaning.

"Of course you do. None of yah know what you're doing," Adam groaned. "Right, first things first. We're gonna need someplace that's clean and got space. No offense but there's too much crap on the floor in here to be safe for her. The kid might stuff a button or something into her mouth and choke again."

Uriel suddenly grinned. He knew just the place.

AN: Oh the fun of being a parent of small children. For those of you that don't have children, babies often explore the world by touch and taste. According to my dad, as an infant, he caught me more then once eating dirt from the potted plants in the house while he was boiling my pacifiers. I've almost had the joy of being at a petting zoo with my own daughter and had to say 'Sweetie, please don't lick the goats' because for whatever reason, she started to lick one's back. Oh the joys of parenthood where you'll utter phrases you never thought you would.

Still I love her and enjoy every day with her.

I am thankful to say that I've never had to save my daughter from choking on a grape, but my husband and I have had to do a Heimlich on her once when she got a piece of chicken stuck in her throat. It's always a good idea to have some basic first aid training so that you have an idea of what to do in emergencies. That being said, doing CPR on an infant isn't a fun experience I would wish on anyone.

I am happy to say that my daughter has very tried chocking on a grape, though she has gotten food stuck in her throat along with an ice cube. Babies chocking however is a very terrifying thing to see and I can say from personal experience that doing CPR on them is something you never want to do. That being said, it's always a good idea to have a basic First Aid course so in the case of emergencies you know what to do.

And oh my God was it hard to find what the heck some of Adam and Eve's kids names were. Like I've said before, I've never studying the bible in depth and for the longest time I thought that Cain and Abel were their only kids. Color me surprised to find out there was quite a few more. From what I could find the sons were in no particular order: Cain, Abel, Seth, Eliseel, Suri, Slumiel, Brabal, Naat, Zara, ,Maza, Samma, Athal, and Anath. The daughters were: Noaba, Awan, Aclima, Qelima, Fua, Iectas, Arebica, Sifa, Tetia, Saba, and Asin. In case anyone out there was a few names to use. Take it with a gram of salt though, I'm not sure how legit the info is.

Regarding the little toy that Jophiel was so protective about, for those who don't know, it's a reference to the story 'The Thread Which Connects Us', 3rd story in the 'Echoes of the Morningstar' series that takes place when Lucifer was little. It was a lot of fun looking back at that story to remember how I had described Jophiel's room in the past and how it's changed a lot over time.
