REVIEW ZAROOR KARNA GUY'S.
After 5 years*
The bell above the bakery door jingled as the girl walked in, her light blue gown fluttering around her. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back in soft waves, framing her radiant face. She entered the bakery with a quiet confidence, her eyes scanning the display case filled with colorful cupcakes, cookies, and cakes. The sweet aroma of freshly baked goods enveloped her, making her lips curve into a subtle smile.
As she approached the counter, the friendly baker looked up, his eyes widening slightly in appreciation of her elegant appearance.
Baker: Welcome to Sweet Treats! Kya lena chahengi aap ma'am?
Girl: Chocolate cake half kg.
She replied, her voice melodious.
Baker: Of course! What's the occasion ma'am ?
The baker asked, his hands moving deftly as he expertly piped borders onto a nearby cake.
Girl: Nahi, bas congratulations likh do.
The baker's eyebrows rose slightly in curiosity.
Baker: Birthday?? anniversary? Kuch nahi?
She shook her head, her hair rustling softly.
Girl: Nahi bas congratulations.
Baker: Okay!! Aur naam kya likhna hai ma'am?
Girl "blushed slightly" : Husband.
Baker: Alright!!
As he began working on the cake, the girl's eyes wandered around the bakery, her thoughts seemingly a thousand miles away.
She took the cake from the bakery and left, her heels clicking on the sidewalk as she walked away. The baker watched her go and smiled.
Later, in a hotel room, she sat on the bed, the cake placed on the table in front of her. She picked up a newspaper and began to read, her eyes scanning the headlines. Suddenly, a smile spread across her face, and her pink lips curved upwards.
"Mumbai CID team, led by Senior Inspector Abhijeet, successfully freed a school that was hijacked by terrorists, without any injuries to students and teachers," she read aloud, her voice filled with pride.
She placed the newspaper back on the table, her hands trembling slightly as she reached for the cake. She took a knife and cut a slice, the sound of the blade slicing through the moist cake filling the room.
As she took a bite, her eyes closed in satisfaction, savoring the sweet taste. It was as if the cake was a celebration of the victory, a sweet reward for the bravery and skill of Senior Inspector Abhijeet.
As she ate, her thoughts drifted to Abhijeet, wondering what he was doing at that moment. Was he celebrating with his team? Or was he already working on the next case, his mind sharp and focused?
The cake was more than just a dessert now; it was a connection to the man who had made her heart skip a beat.
Just then, she heard a car honk outside. She instantly got up from the bed, her heart racing with excitement. She rushed to the window and pulled back the curtains, her eyes widening in surprise.
Girl: Ohh no shaadi shuru ho gayi.
A wedding procession had arrived at the hotel entrance! The bride, resplendent in a stunning white gown, was stepping out of a decorated car, while the groom, dashing in a black suit, was waiting for her with a bright smile.
She grabbed her purse and rushed outside, joining the crowd of guests gathered at the entrance. She blended in seamlessly, her light blue gown allowing her to move unnoticed among the sea of colorful saris and suits.
She continued to watch, mesmerized, as the wedding ceremony progressed. The bride and groom exchanged vows, their voices filled with emotion.
Just as the priest declared them husband and wife. As the bride and groom shared their first kiss as husband and wife, she joined in the celebration, smiling and clapping along with the other guests. The atmosphere was electric, filled with joy and love.
As the bride turned to toss her bouquet, she excitedly raised her hands, hoping to catch the flowers. The bride's eyes met hers, and with a playful smile, she tossed the bouquet in her direction.
She stretched out her hands, her heart racing with excitement, and caught the bouquet perfectly. The crowd cheered, and she beamed with delight, feeling as though she was part of the wedding magic.
As she held the bouquet, she felt a tap on her shoulder.
A voice said: Congratulations! You're next!
She turned to se a friend of her, kneeling beside her. His eyes shone with hope and adoration.
Boy: Purvi, main kabse tumse kehna chahta tha. Main tumse pyaar karta hun . Will you marry me?.
She smile but she knew she couldn't reciprocate his feelings. She had already given her heart to someone else.
Purvi: Nikhil mujhe maaf kardo. I'm already in love with someone else.
Nikhil's face fell, disappointment etched on his features. But to her surprise, he smiled wistfully and said.
Nikhil: It's okay, Purvi. I understand. You deserve happiness, and I hope you find it with him.
As Nikhil stood up and walked away, she felt a mix of emotions: guilt for hurting him and gratitude for his kind understanding.
Just then, the bride, approached her, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.
Bride: Purvi, tune use mnaa kyun kiya? Nikhil kitna acha ladka hai pichle 4 saal se jaante hain na hum use.
Purvi: Tum jaanti ho na Ria mai kisi aur se pyaar karti hun.
Ria: Kitni baar bolu tujhe bhul ja use, 5 saal ho chuke hain ab.
Purvi: Exactly 5 saal guzar gaye ria. Aaj bhi mera pyaar waisa hi hai. Sab kuch paa liya maine apni zindagi mai. Padhayi puri hogi achi cid officer bann gayi, mom dad ka sapna pura kar diya ab bas apna pyaar pana hai.
Ria's brow furrowed: Purvi I'm sure wo move on kar chuka hoga, tu kyu itni aas lagaye bethi hai?.
Purvi: bilkul bhi nhi, mujhe pura yakeen hai wo bhi mujhse aaj bhi pyaar karta hai. Mai mehsoos kar sakti hun.
Ria looked skeptical, but Purvi's conviction was unwavering. Little did Ria know, Purvi's love for Abhijeet was only growing stronger with time...
Purvi's eyes sparkled with confidence.
Purvi: haan wo thoda naraz zaroor hoga par tum dekhna mujhe dekhte hi uska saara gussa pighal jayega. Mumbai jaakr main use mana lungi.
Ria nodded, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
Ria: I hope so purvi. Tu jaisa sochti hai sach main waisa ho aur wo aaj bhi tujhse pyaar krta ho.
Purvi's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.
Purvi: Don't worry ria, mujhe pura yakeen hai wo mujhse aaj bhi bahut karte hai. Ab tu jaa tera dulha tujhe bula raha hai.
Ria: Hmmm.
In Mumbai, a dashing and charming, man was rummaging through his cupboard, searching for something. As he pushed aside stacks of documents, a small, velvet-covered box teetered on the edge, then fell to the floor with a soft thud. He picked it up and opened it, revealing a pair of earrings.
He smiled sadly, lost in thought.
He: Pta nhi tum kahan ho? Kaisi ho? Tumhe main yaad bhi hun ya nahi. ( He paused, his eyes misty.) Did you move on and marry someone you love?
As he gazed at the earrings, memories flooded his mind. He remembered the day he decided to gave them to Purvi, he wanted her reaction he did everything he possible to make her happy.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Abhi, Bhai file mili kya?"
He nodded, tucking the earrings into his pocket.
Abhi: Haan daya laa raha hun.
As he headed out, he couldn't shake off the feeling that a part of him was still stuck in the past, longing for the love they shared.
Abhijeet sat in the car for bureau, his mind wandering back to Purvi. His thoughts consumed by the what-ifs. What if he had confessed his love to her? What if he had told her how he felt?
He remembered the way Purvi smiled, her bright smile and adorable dimple. the way her eyes sparkled when she laughed . He longed to see that smile again, to be the reason for her happiness.
As he reached bureau, His mind drifted to the earrings in his pocket. He had kept them all these years, a reminder of the love he never expressed.
On the other side of the city, a train pulled into the Mumbai central station, and Purvi stepped out onto the platform, her face radiating happiness and excitement. She took a deep breath, feeling the familiar sights and sounds of the city wash over her.
As she made her way through the crowded station, her eyes shone with a sense of purpose. She had finally returned to Mumbai, the city where her heart had remained all these years.
Purvi hailed a taxi and gave the driver an address. As they drove through the city, she gazed out the window, taking in the familiar landmarks. The excitement building inside her was palpable.
The taxi stopped in front of a building, and Purvi got out.
Purvi walked into the hotel lobby, her confident stride commanding attention. She approached the reception desk, her bright smile illuminating the space.
Receptionist: Welcome to our hotel! How may I assist you?
the receptionist asked, taking in Purvi's radiant presence.
Purvi: I have a reservation for two days.
The receptionist nodded, handing her a key card.
Receptionist: Room 314. Enjoy your stay!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next Morning, Purvi stood outside the bureau, her heart racing with anticipation. Now she is Inspector Purvi. It felt surreal, like a dream she'd worked tirelessly to achieve.
Five years had passed since she'd last seen them - Daya, Shreya, ACP, and Abhijeet. Five years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. She'd often wondered what they'd think of her transformation from a bright-eyed, eager young woman to a confident, capable inspector.
As she took a deep breath, a mix of emotions swirled inside her - excitement, nervousness, and a hint of fear. What would they say? Would they recognize the determined, strong woman standing before them?
Purvi's eyes wandered to the door, her mind replaying memories of laughter, tears, and moments shared with the people inside.
With a final deep breath, Purvi pushed open the door, her eyes scanning the room for familiar faces. The moment of truth had arrived. She was ready to face whatever came next, her head held high and her heart full of pride.
As Purvi entered the bureau, ACP, Daya, and Shreya were shocked to see her, their faces a mix of surprise and tension then ACP's face lit up with a warm smile.
Acp: Purvi.
Purvi: Inspector purvi sir.
Acp: I'm proud of you beta.
Purvi beamed with pride, feeling a sense of validation wash over her. However, her gaze soon shifted to Daya and Shreya, who exchanged a tense glance. Their expressions were guarded, and Purvi sensed a hint of unease in the air.
Acp: Aao sabse milo.
Purvi took a deep breath and introduced herself to the team, her voice confident and clear. As she shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, she couldn't help but notice the curious glances and whispered conversations.
Once the introductions were over, Purvi made her way to Daya and Shreya, who were standing by the window, their faces stern. She approached them with a smile, expecting a warm welcome, but instead, they turned away, their eyes avoiding hers.
Purvi: Kaise ho tum log?? Bahut miss kiya maine tum sabko.
The silence that followed was deafening. Daya and Shreya's body language screamed discomfort, their arms crossed, and their jaws clenched. Purvi felt a sting of rejection, her smile faltering.
Daya cleared his throat, his voice gruff.
Daya: Inspector Purvi. welcome to cid mumbai.
Shreya: Welcome.
Purvi felt a pang of hurt and confusion. What had she done to deserve this cold shoulder? She turned to leave, but not before catching ACP's concerned expression. He seemed to sense the tension and was about to intervene, but Purvi shook her head, indicating she could handle it.
Purvi sat down at her desk, her eyes scanning the bustling bureau with a mix of excitement and nervousness. As she unpacked her bag and settled in, her gaze wandered across the room, searching for someone. Someone she had always wanted to see, someone she had missed dearly for the past five years.
Her eyes darted between the familiar faces, but her heart longed to see one face in particular. Abhijeet's face. She had often wondered what he was up to, if he had moved on, and if he ever thought of her.
Just as Purvi was searching for Abhijeet, the door swung open and a 5'10" man walked in, his confident stride commanding attention. His brown orbs sparkled with warmth, and his chiseled features seemed even more handsome than she remembered. Abhijeet had matured into a stunningly attractive man.
Purvi's breath caught in her throat as their eyes met, the air thickening with tension. Five years of unspoken words, unresolved feelings, and missed opportunities hung between them like a challenge.
Her smile faltered for a moment, her heart racing like a wild animal in her chest. It was as if time had stood still, and the past five years melted away in an instant. She felt like she was transported back to the moment when they first met.
Abhi's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with an intensity that made her skin prickle with goosebumps. He seemed to have grown even more confident and self-assured, his broad shoulders and chiseled jawline radiating an aura of quiet strength.
Purvi's thoughts raced as she tried to process the mix of emotions swirling inside her. She had longed to see him, to reconnect with the man who had left an indelible mark on her heart. And now, here he was, standing in front of her, looking more handsome and captivating than ever.
Just then, everything around her seemed to blur, and Purvi's vision became hazy. She felt a stinging sensation in her eyes, and before she knew it, tears began to well up and fill her eyes. She tried to blink them away, but they overflowed, streaming down her cheeks like a river.
Abhi's face became a blur, but his eyes remained fixed on hers, filled with a deep concern and tenderness.
He took a step closer, his voice low and gentle. "Purvi?" She felt a lump form in her throat, making it hard to speak. She tried to smile, but it wobbled, and she looked away, trying to compose herself. But the tears kept flowing, a mix of happiness, relief, and unspoken emotions.
Abhijeet's hand reached out, his thumb gently wiped away her tears, and then he leaned in, his lips brushing against her forehead in a soft, gentle kiss. Purvi's heart melted at the tender gesture, and she felt herself getting lost in the moment. He then wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug, holding her close as if he never wanted to let her go.
Just as she was getting lost in the warmth of his embrace, Purvi heard someone calling her name. "Purvi! Purvi!"
She opened her eyes to find an officer standing in front of her, looking at her with a concerned expression. And then she saw Abhijeet, but he was sitting on a desk, looking at her with a curious gaze.
Suddenly, it dawned on her - it was all just a dream! She was still in the bureau, and Abhi was just a colleague, not the love of her life.
Purvi's face flushed with embarrassment as she realized she had been lost in her own fantasy. She quickly composed herself, trying to play it cool, but her heart still raced from the vivid dream.
Purvi: uh! haan?
Pankaj: Aree jaao introduce karo
The officer said, nodding towards Abhijeet.
Pankaj: Senior hain hamare, second command.
Purvi nodded, still feeling a bit dazed from her dream. She turned to Abhi and introduced herself.
Purvi: H..Hi sir, I'm inspector Purvi. New officer.
Abhijeet looked at her and nodded.
Abhi: Hello, Welcome to the team.
His reply was casual, professional, and didn't betray any hint of the intense emotional connection they had shared. Purvi felt a pang of disappointment.
Purvi: Nice to meet you sir.
Purvi replied, trying to sound equally professional. Abhi nodded, his expression serious.
As the day went on, Purvi found herself glancing at Abhi more often than she cared to admit. She would catch him looking at her, but whenever their eyes met, he would quickly look away, pretending to be busy with his work.
Purvi tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering back to Abhijeet. She couldn't help but notice the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck, or the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled.
Despite his attempts to ignore her, Purvi could sense Abhi's gaze on her, making her feel both nervous and excited.
As the day drew to a close, Purvi realized she had been so caught up in her own thoughts that she had barely paid attention to her work. She vowed to focus more tomorrow, but her mind kept drifting back to Abhi.
Evening Time, As the team packed up to leave, ACP approached Purvi, his eyes warm with concern.
Acp: Purvi, beta kahan reh rahi ho tum?
Purvi: Abhi toh filhal hotel mai ruki hun sir but koi appartment dekh kar jaldi hi shift ho jaungi.
Acp: Uski koi zaroorat nahi hai. Tum hamare saath hamare ghar pe rukogi. Hamare pariwar ka hissa ho tum bhi.
Daya, who was gathering his belongings, spoke up, his tone laced with disapproval.
Daya: Kyun dad? Ab yeh ek independent ladki hai akele reh sakti hai. 5 saal rahi na akele ab bhi reh legi.
Purvi: Ji sir iski zaroort nahi main reh lungi.
Acp: Daya tumse kisi ne nhi pucha yeh mera faisla hai samjhe tum. Aur tum hamare ghar aa rahi ho bas aur kuch nahi sununga mai. Hotel se apna saman lekr ghar aajana. Thek hai.
Purvi: J-Ji sir.
As ACP, Daya, and Shreya left the bureau, Purvi felt a mix of emotions. She was touched by their concern, but also unsure if she was ready to be part of their family again.
As she stood there, alone in the bureau, Purvi thought she was truly alone. But then, the washroom door opened, and Abhi emerged, his eyes locking onto hers with a mixture of shock and wariness.
Purvi's heart skipped a beat as she tried to speak, but Abhi ignored her, his expression cold and distant. He strode past her, leaving Purvi feeling confused and hurt.
Purvi's eyes welled up with tears as she held Abhijeet's wrist, her voice trembling.
Purvi: Abhi naraz ho mujhse? Kyun?
Abhi's expression was cold, his eyes flashing with hurt.
Abhi: 5 saal pehle bina mujhse mile mujhe chhodkar chali gayi. Bas divorce papers hath main thama diye aur puchti ho kyun naraz hun? Chhodkar hi jaana tha toh kyun dikhava karti thi ki tumhe mujhse pyaar hai, fikar karti ho meri? Khud ki aadat lagakr bas yun hi chhod kar chali gayi.
Purvi's tears spilled over, her voice cracking.
Purvi: bewakoof thi main. Main jaanti hu mujhe ek baar iss bare main aapse baat krni chahiye thi. Main tab bhi aapse pyar karti thi ab toh bahut pyar karti hun in 5 saal bahut yaad kiya hai maine aapko aur apne faisle par pachtayi hun. Please maaf kardo.
Abhi: late go gaya hai tumhe jaana chahiye.
Purvi: please, Kya hum apne rishte ko ek chance aur nahi de sakte??
Abhi's face twisted in pain, his voice barely above a whisper.
Abhi: I'm sorry purvi, sab khatam ho chuka hai. Meri shaadi ho chuki hai aur ek beti hai.
Purvi's grip on his wrist loosened, she went few steps away, she was shocked and tears flowing more from her eyes.
Purvi: Shaadi?? Baccha?? ( She couldn't breathe.)
She was so confident that he loves her and waiting for her.
He turned and walked away, leaving Purvi standing alone in the darkness, her heart shattered into a million pieces.
