"I'm hit!" Aké shouted as his starfighter was sent spiraling through space before exploding. "Kriff!" He shouted, throwing his headset down.

"I don't blame you."

"Shut up Anakin…" He hopped out of the modulator. "I've done this fifty times and I've failed fifty times!"

"Calm down…" Anakin held his hands out in front of him. "Will try this again later in the day."

Aké was standing on the balcony over the gymnasium as he watched Ahsoka and Vaxis train. Sensing Anakin he turned his head and chuckled. "I wanted to train Vaxis, now I am a general in a war I didn't even know was going on, and I must learn how to fly a "starfighter." He chuckled some more as he shook his head before looking down at the two Padawans.

Anakin placed his hand on his shoulder and was about to speak when the room turned red as loud sirens went off. "Ahsoka, Vaxis!" Anakin yelled running out of the door.

"What's going on!" Ahsoka yelled grouping with Anakin and Aké as they ran past the door.

"Enemy ship just came out of hyperspace." Rex yelled running up to them, now following them as they ran toward the deck.

The three stopped to find an enemy cruiser floating in space. "What do we do, General?" Anakin asked.

"Sir… we have an incoming transmission coming from the ship." A Clone said.

"Play the transmission." Aké said.

Loud static filled the deck as mumbled voices and screams echoed behind. It only lasted a few seconds but that was all it needed to send fear through everyone's minds. The Jedi shook it off before looking at each other. "I'm going to check out that cruiser." Aké interrupted the silence before walking out the door.

"You're not going alone!" Anakin shouted running behind him. "I'm not… Ghost and his team will come with me." He looked at the troopers.

"I'm coming with you." Anakin added.

"And leave the Flag ship defenseless?" He chuckled, stepping into an LAAT/s as Ghost and his team followed. "You'd do the same thing." He said as the doors were sliding closed.

Anakin ran toward the deck and stopped in front of the window. "Where's Aké?" Vaxis asked.

Anakin pointed toward the LAAT/s as it flew closer towards the carrier. The team flew inside and landed. The group slowly made their way out of the LAAT/s and found themself in darkness. "Stick together." Ghost said.

"Yes sir." The Troopers said in unison before turning on the lights mounted on their helmets. "Comms on." Tymerr said.

The Holotable turned on as the darkened carrier transmitted to the Flagship. The flashlight beams lightened only a couple of feet in front of the troopers. "Something doesn't feel right." Aké said quietly as they walked through the hallways.

"Get out!" Anakin shouted.

"They can't hear you, Master."

"I know that Ahsoka."

Pryx kicked something on the ground as they walked through the corridors. "General?" He said in confusion looking down. Everyone including Aké turned around to find a bloodied Clone helmet on the ground. They jumped with Aké igniting his lightsaber when they heard a loud crash coming from a door behind them. Walking closer the door slid open revealing a dead clone trooper lying on the floor. Kneeling Ghost felt the trooper's pulse. The trooper sat up and punched Ghost, knocking him and his helmet onto the floor. The trooper jumped to attack Aké but was shot down.

"Ghost, are you okay?" Aké asked, turning around and Ghost was gone. "Where did he go?" He looked around at the other troopers.

The troopers looked at each other before scanning the room and looking back at Aké and shaking their heads. "He was just there."

"I know…" Clatter from another room interrupted him. The group moved to check it out. "Ghost!" They each called out.

"Ghost!" Fangs scanned a room to find Ghost standing motionless in the middle of the room. "Ghost?" He moved in closer.

"There's nothing here, let's go home!" Aké called out.

Fangs coughed and gagged before walking toward them. "Are you okay?" Aké placed his hand on his shoulder.

Fangs nodded before walking past everyone followed by Ghost who stayed quiet as well.

The flight back to the Flagship Aké looked at Ghost and Fangs. They looked as if they were talking to each other, but nothing was being said. Landing, the two troopers quickly walked out.

Aké walked out and stopped, staring at them as they walked away. "Aké?" Anakin asked, snapping his fingers in front of his face.

"What?"

"Did you find anything?"

He shook his head still looking at Ghost and Fangs. "J-Just some dead troopers, that's all." He said quietly before walking after the troopers.

"Hmm..." Anakin mumbled to himself as he followed Aké with his eyes down the hall.

"What's going on, Master?" Ahsoka asked.

"Did Aké seem a little off to you?"

"He's always a little off." Vaxis said, causing Ahsoka and herself to laugh.

Anakin chuckled and shook his head. "No, I mean something doesn't... seem right." He placed his hands on his hips.

"Maybe he just wants to be left alone."

"I don't think that's it." He said softly before walking away. The two padawans went their separate ways shortly after, Ahsoka went toward Anakin, and Vaxis walked down the hall into Aké and hers shared quarters.

The flagship grew quiet as the night cycle took its effect. All the troopers went through their normal nightly routines. Some went on shifts while others went off shifts and to the barracks to rest.

Ghost and Fangs walked into a darkened barracks carrying satchels. Placing them under cots they left.

Aké restlessly paced around the deck. "Get some sleep, Aké." Anakin said. "I'll take first watch."

Aké shook his head. "You would know if something was wrong with Rex or one of your other troopers."

"Is this about, Ghost?"

"You never answered me."

"Yes, I would know if something was wrong with Rex or one of my troopers."

"So why don't you believe me? There is something wrong with Ghost, and Fangs!"

Anakin sighed. "If this is that important to you, I will help you."

"Thank you…" Aké was interrupted when the lights and monitors turned off before the emergency lights went on. Seconds later blaster fire was heard.

Anakin and Aké ran out of the deck to find troopers fighting each other. Rex was hiding behind crates before shooting at the attacking troopers. "Stun bolts only!" He shouted.

Fangs ran into the middle of the room and fired a PLX-1 portable missile launcher toward a group of troopers. Aké raised his hand, stopping the missile in midair before pushing it into a wall.

"What happened?" Anakin asked, hiding beside Rex.

"Ghost and his crew and a group of troopers walked in and started firing upon us."

"Where's Ghost?" Aké asked, immediately a trooper stood up to fire when a bolt blasted through his head, knocking it off his shoulders.

Aké growled looking at the trooper's mask as it stared back at him with smoke rising above a hole in the middle of his head. "Anakin finish this…" He stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to deal with Ghost." He jumped over the crates and ran across the battlefield. A door opened revealing Fangs holding a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon. Aké jumped forward and sliced the barrel in half before punching Fangs and knocking him into the wall. Slicing his prosthetic leg in half before rushing down the hall. Fangs tried to stand up but fell back down, crawling out of the hallway he grabbed the missile launcher but was surrounded by troopers. "Stand down, Fangs!"

Fangs tried attacking but was immediately blasted with stun bolts, a loud screech came from inside his helmet before collapsing into unconsciousness. The troopers looked at each other before looking at Anakin who walked toward them. "Lock him away."

"Yes, General."

A giant door slid open allowing a horde of troopers to rush in. "Take cover!" Rex shouted, firing his handguns.

Aké ran through the ship's corridors when he found a group of troopers fighting another group of troopers. "Who's good!" He shouted, immediately jumping to cover when one of the groups started firing at him. "Have you seen Ghost?!" He shouted.

"Yes, General, he ran down the hall with Pryx and Tymerr!"

Igniting his lightsaber, he jumped over the barrier and started blocking the bolts. Reaching the troopers he cut the blasters in half before throwing them against the wall, knocking them out. "Let's go!" He shouted running down the hall but slid to a stop when two troopers blocked his way wielding BT X-42 Heavy Republic flamethrowers. Aké held his hand out in front of him blocking the flames from hitting himself or any of the troopers behind before creating a fist causing the barrels to fold in on itself and explode, sending the troopers into the wall. A loud screech was heard as their bodies were engulfed in flames.

"Follow me!" He growled in a low tone, walking over the bodies they walked down the hallway. Aké opened a door as the troopers walked down the hall. They reached to press the wall panel. "Don't press that!" Aké yelled but with no avail an explosion went off sending gore and body parts across the floor and walls. Aké coughed as smoke and flames blocked his vision as he walked out of the room. Sensing two presences he swiped his hand clearing away the smoke revealing two troopers dressed in black armor. "Pryx, Tymerr!" He growled.

Aké ignited his lightsaber when Pryx and Tymerr reached behind their back and pulled out thermal detonators. He scoffed and extinguished his saber. "You two like playing with fire!" He raised his hands in front of him as they engulfed in flames, before pushing his hands forward sending a stream of fire onto the two troopers. A loud screech was heard as the two troopers ran down the hall engulfed in fire.

Walking through the door they were guarding he found himself on a balcony with Ghost on the other side pointing his sniper rifle at him. "Turn yourself in, Ghost!" He yelled. Ghost immediately shot at a cable on the balcony before walking backwards into a darkened room.

Ahsoka landed where Ghost originally was, while Vaxis landed behind Aké blocking the entrance. "We need to get off this thing!" He said as the balcony swayed side to side. Ahsoka and Vaxis ignited their lightsabers before running toward him. Spreading his arms out the two padawans were flown backwards as they tried to attack him. The two stood up but immediately lost balance when one of the cables snapped causing the balcony to jolt down. A couple seconds later the cables started snapping, sending the three Jedi barreling over.

"I don't know how long we can hold this!" Rex yelled, firing his hand blasters as more troopers arrived causing them to retreat into the deck.

Aké awoke lying on his chest. He winced in pain when he stood up, holding his ribs, he limped forward. "Why did you do this, Ghost?" He asked, sliding down a wall and seeing the carnage his ship had endured with the fire fight. "Ghost!" He shouted before coughing. A low creek was heard with a slight cough that came after. Wincing, he stood up and limped forward but fell to his knees. "Kriff!" He groaned, pushing himself to stand up. Seeing a small orange hand reach forward he raised his hand shakily and slowly lifted the balcony up. Ahsoka tried to stand but fell down. "I'm sorry." She cried; Ahsoka gagged as she looked like she was about to throw up when an elongated greenish yellow colored worm burst out of her mouth. Aké pulled Ahsoka forward with his other hands and sliced the worm in half, dropping the balcony in the process.

Ahsoka's body slid across the floor before slamming into a wall. Aké limped forward but was attacked by Vaxis, cutting off his ear. He screamed in pain and fell to the floor with his hand cupping the side of his head. "You're not yourself, Vaxis!" His voice shook with sadness.

Vaxis stood above Aké and raised her lightsaber slashing downward.

Locket guarded the medical bay as troopers tried getting in. "Get back you kriffing traitors!" He shouted, tightening his grip on his blaster rifle. "Command deck to medical bay, command deck to medical bay can you read me?" Rex said through the comms. "Loud and clear captain."

"The troopers have become infected with something, do not kill. I repeat "do not kill."

"With all due respect, as a medic I will protect anyone in my care. I will shoot anyone that steps one foot in here." A gagging noise was heard as a trooper started convulsing. "I have to let you go, captain." He rested his rifle on the bed and ran toward the medical kit grabbing out any items he saw fit to save the trooper. Turning to run toward the trooper, he was attacked as the worm stretched out of its carrier's mouth.

"No, you don't!" He punched the trooper in the face before shoving his hand in his mouth and ripping the worm out. The trooper vomited out blood as he fell backwards as blood started spewing out. "You dirty bastards!" Locket threw the worm on the ground and smashed it. "Captain Rex, come in Captain Rex."

"Read you loud and clear, Locket..." Rex grunted as he fought the troopers. "The troopers are infected by a parasite called Brain Worm..."

"Can you repeat that?"

"Brain Worm! Founded in Geonosis... the only proper way without killing our brothers is freezing them."

"The cooling system isn't close."

"We better bring some Cryo Detonators than."

"General Skywalker..." Rex yelled, throwing a detonator. Anakin pressed the button and pushed it using the force, sending an explosion that sent a cold mist in the air, coloring the floors, walls, and windows in frost. The troopers screeched before holding their heads and collapsing to the ground. "Let's go, men!" Anakin jumped over the barriers and ran out of the deck.

Locket opened the door and threw a couple detonators before running out as troopers fell all around him. Meeting Anakin and Rex the troopers were able to fight through the corridors and make their way toward the cooling system where they found Ghost, standing in their way with his hand over a button. "You press that button, and this ship blows up!" Locket shouted.

Ghost tilted his head before pushing the button, but nothing happened. "You know, you brain worms only know what the person knows..." Locket chuckled as freezing gasses shot out of the vents causing Ghost to screech before falling on the ground. The flagship erupted with screeches before everything went silent.

Anakin looked around before his eyes grew wide. "Ahsoka!" He ran out of the room pushing troopers away as he did so. "Ahsoka!" He ran through the flagship.

"Ahsoka!" Rex followed. "Aké!" Locket shouted behind them. "Vaxis!" He shouted. Anakin and the troopers stopped in front of the gym's door and opened it.

Aké awoke as he found himself inside his quarters wrapped up in medical bandages. Sitting up he scanned the quarters more closely and recognized it wasn't his quarters after all. "Where am I?" He asked.

The door slid open as Yosvi walked in. Shaking his head he looked around. "Am I dreaming?"

Yosvi stopped in front and slapped him hard. "Does that answer your question?"

"Yeah?" He held his chin as he moved his jaw side to side. "Have you been practicing?"

"Don't be rude." She sat next to him and looked around. "I never thought you would ever be in my quarters."

"It could be refurbished."

"Don't say that!" Yosvi chuckled, punching Aké in the arm.

Laughing, he leaned back and rested his head on the wall, closing his eyes, he rested his hands on his head. A loud screech came beside him causing him to open his eyes as a brain worm jumped out of Yosvi's mouth and attacked him. Aké jumped up breathing heavily and scanned the room. The door opened as Yosvi walked in.

"Aké?"

"Get the Kriff away from me!" He shouted. His lightsaber flew from the nightstand and landed in his hand. Igniting it he pointed it at Yosvi.

"Aké?" She said calmly walking forward.

"Don't come near me!" He shouted while walking backwards.

Yosvi stopped walking. "It's okay..." She held her hands out in front of her. "I'm not going to attack you... use the force. It's me!" She pleaded.

Aké glared at Yosvi before his hands budged down a little. Yosvi walked forward causing him to point it at her again. "I'm not going to hurt you..." She slowly walked forward until she was close to touching the blade. "I will throw myself on this blade just for you to believe me."

Aké swallowed before extinguishing the saber, looking around his lower lip quivered as tears formed in his eyes. Looking back at Yosvi he fell in her arms and started sobbing. "You're safe!" She cried. "You're safe."

A couple weeks later Aké was looking over a balcony as Vaxis and Ahsoka trained in a gym. Feeling someone's hand on his shoulder he flinched away from it. "Oh... hey." He smiled at Yosvi.

"How's things looking?" He asked.

"A couple more days and your ship should be ready." She placed her head on his shoulder. "That's not so bad."

The door opened causing Aké to flinch. "General Aké." Ghost said in a soft voice.

Aké turned his head enough to see him. "Yes, Ghost?"

"I've started to fill out my transfer."

Aké didn't respond, leaving Ghost in silence, leaving, Aké stopped him. "Ghost?"

"Yes, General?"

"The only place you're going is the barracks, to relax..." Ghost swallowed and turned to walk away. "Ghost?"

"Yes, General?" He asked, turning back.

"If you call me General one more time, I will throw you out into the vacuum of space."

"Yes Gen... Aké."

"That's better."

Ghost tried to leave but was stopped again. "Ghost."

"Yes, Aké?" He turned back again.

"Thank you." He faced him.

"For what?"

"For exploring the cruiser with me... dismissed." He dismissed him without further argument.

Ghost walked off the balcony and toward the barracks.

The tall man with a grey beard and mustache knelt in front of a holoprojector as a cloaked man appeared. "The experiment has failed my Lord."

"Tell the queen to prepare for some visitors." The cloaked man spoke with a deep raspy voice.
