The clouds covered the land in darkness, barely showing the pink glow of the Rose Morning Star. However, the light of the Trailmon Angler showed brightly as the fish shaped train chugged down the tracks with the digi-destined and their redeemed friends riding on top.
"So did you really go to the Rose Morning Star?" Zoe asked, as she hung onto the train's angler.
"Without a doubt," He explained, "When I was still old, I was forced to carry a container there,".
"Yeah, sorry bout that," Grumblemon said sheepishly.
"I was afraid of what they might do to me," he explained "Well not so much the cute one, so I didn't ask questions".
"By cute one you mean right sugar?" Ranamon asked.
"Ranamon!" The others said, annoyed by the interruption.
"What?".
"Anyways, the battle between the three celestial Digimon had just begun and the three of you was guarding that container, I'm sure it held either Seraphimon or Ophanimon".
"It sure was Ophamimon, right," Arbormon said, while hand to the side, "That there was our first mission, so we's were taken it pretty seriously, well most of us were, yah understand?".
"It's shameful that I was ever a part of that debacle," Angler whined, "Urm, no offence to you three?".
"Naw, we had coming," Grumblemon said.
"So where'd you guys take the container?" Tommy asked.
Arbormon then stared at the shining star, "Straight to lord Cherubimon's castle, right,".
"Ophanimon probably still there locked away," Grumblemon added.
"We're getting close now guys," JP said.
"I believe that means we're gonna need all us legendary warriors together?" Ranamon said, before sighing and sitting down holding her legs.
"You still worried about Reflectmon?" Zoe asked, to which the Digimon nodded.
"I know he's good now, but?" Ranamon sighed, "Then again, I can't control my beast spirit anymore, so I guess I can't say much?".
"Well you had control at one point?" Zoe said, after moving closer to the water warrior, "What did you do then?".
"Back then, Mercurymon helped my figure it out," Ranamon explained, before sighing, "Oh, I just wish things could be like before between us sugar,".
"In that case, you should just tell him how you feel?" Zoe suggested sincerely, "I mean it worked out when you did it with Grumblemon and Arbormon, so maybe it will work for Reflectmon too?".
Ranamon thought about this, "Y'know, I think you might be right Zo," she smiled, "Okay, I'll give it a try when we find him and Takuya,".
Zoe just smiled at this, glad to have eased her friend.
But then, the heroes felt a cold presence than sent shivers down their spines.
"D-did anyone else feel that just now?" Tommy asked fearfully.
"I wish I could say no," JP said.
"Hang ons, I knows this?" Arbormon said, before his eyes shrunk, "Aw no,".
Then the shadow of a large bird swooped across the Trailmon Angler.
"What the, w-what is that Digimon?" Ranamon stuttered, feeling uneased by the creature.
"I don't think I want to know?!" Tommy shivered, while Arbormon held him close.
"I hope it doesn't notice us, yah?" Trailmon Angler cried as he slowed down.
"Koji, Raaarrrkk!" The beast cried, thankfully not noticing the heroes below, "Destroy!" it then flapped its wings as it soared away.
"Who was that?" Zoe asked.
"Grumblemon not sure, but if had guess?" the earth warrior said, "It beast spirit of darkness!".
The others gasped at this.
"We need to find the others now!" JP said, "Step on it Angler!".
Speaking of the dark warrior,
Inside the mind of the dark beast, a flashback played. It showed a boy with his grandmother in the hospital, likely their last moments with each other. The boy held the elder's hand as she laid on the bed, sounding very weak.
"Koichi, you need to know you have a brother," she explained, making the boy gasp.
"Huh?" Duskmon's eyes then opened, gasping from the memory, "I have a brother, how can that be?" He then stood up within the dark void, "Who am I?".
"You, are Duskmon," An evil voice said, as the realm warped to reveal the fallen angel Cherubimon, as well as something else in the shadows "What more do you need to know?".
"That boy," Duskmon said.
"What boy?" Cherubimon asked,
"Koji Minamoto, he's my brother, my twin," Duskmon explained.
"So, you remember him," Cherubimon said, "But, why should that make a difference to you?".
Duskmon then looked away, "You can't expect me to fight my brother?" he sighed.
"Aw, your memory is flawed," Cherubimon said, his voice sounding softer as his hands covered the dark Digimon, "Don't you remember your mother?".
"My, mother?" he gasped.
"Yes, your mother, how could you forget your mother?" Cherubimon said, as a red mist came from his purple hands, "I'm sure you'll remember her if you try?" his voice asked, soothing and sinister, "Remember your mother, remember her pain,".
Duskmon then saw his memories of this woman. She was overworked trying to provide for him. Even though she tried to hide her pain, Koichi could still see the toll it was taking on her.
"Your father abandoned you and your mother to begin a new life with another woman,"
He then changed the memory to when Koichi saw Koji and his father walking, as well as Koji's new mother.
"Look at your happy brother, with his happy family," Cherubimon explained, "What did you get?".
"I got what I needed," Koichi replied, "But my mother,".
"Ah yes, your poor mother," Cherubimon said, "They are the ones that did this to her,".
"Even so, can I really destroy him, my brother?" Duskmon asked, "Do you really expect me to do that?".
This surprised the fallen angel, "Why can't I Duskmon?" he growled as he flouted closer, "You didn't seem to have a problem destroying my child Arbormon!".
"I-I," Duskmon stuttered, almost guilty.
"You think I didn't notice?" Cherubimon growled, "There's no going back now!".
Duskmon was silent, feeling as if someone else was glaring at him.
"Just let the darkness overflow and let your feelings of vengeance take hold!" Cherubimon encouraged, "After all you've done, there's no going back!".
"Raaaaargh!" Duskmon shouted as the horrible feelings ate at him.
The fallen angel laughed as the coruption countiued. However, another just watched from silently.
Just a bit longer...
Meanwhile elsewhere,
The warrior of light ran through the bleak content of darkness, determined to find the warrior of Darkness.
"Duskmon where are you?" Beowolfmon groaned.
However, the shadow of a large bird soon loomed over the light fusion, sending shivers down his spine. Beowolfmon then looked up in horror.
"W-what is that?"
"Raaarrrkk!" Velgemon screeched as he swooped down at the warrior of light, "Velgemon, Destroy!".
"Velgemon?" Beowolfmon said, before jumping back to dodge "Is that Duskmon's beast spirit?".
The monster then turned towards the light fusion, his three eyes filled with rage.
"Please wait, I have something to ask you?" Beowolfmon said, as the dark beast swooped past him, "I know you're human aren't you?".
The beast just roared in anger.
"Velgemon answer me!" the light fusion demanded.
The dark beast then charged at Beowolfmon, attempting to grab him with his talons. The wolf dodged the talons but was smacked down by the beast's tail.
"Gahhh!" he groaned, before standing up, "Listen to me, Cherubimon wants to destroy this world!".
The beast growled, as fractal code covered him, "Velgemon, slide evolution!" he then became, "Duskmon!".
He then drew his blood red swords as he fell, aiming for the light fusion.
"Beo saber!" Beowolfmon said as he drew his blade to block the swords.
The two struggled once more as their blades clashed, before Duskmon then jumped the other side.
"Why do you fight for the side of evil?" Beowolfmon asked, as his reflection shined in the blade, "You're human just like me?".
"Be quiet!" Duskmon yelled as he charged and the blades clashed once more, "I am just like you!".
"What?"
"Haven't you figured it out?" Duskmon asked, as the ghostly image of the boy from before showed.
This made the fusion gasp, before the two stepped back.
"What are you talking about?" Beowolfmon asked.
"I am, Koichi Kimura!" Duskmon growled, "I'm your twin brother, Koji!".
"My, twin?" Beowolfmon said in shock, before charging at the dark warrior, "No, liar I don't have a brother!".
"I'm not lying, when our parents got divorced they each took one of us," Duskmon explained as he held the light fusion back, "I lived with our mom, our father took you," he then forced him back, "I didn't know it either until just before we came here, sad but true Koji, we're brothers,".
Beowolfmon stood still, trying to process this.
"You thought mom was dead, but she's not," Duskmon growled, "At least she wasn't when I came to this world, she probably thinks she's lost me too,".
"My mother, alive?" Beowolfmon slowly said, as the shock took hold, "But how can that be possible?" the image of his mother's picture flashed in his head, "You've lived with her all this time?" he then growled and forced his sword at Duskmon, "You're just trying to trick me Duskmon!".
"You think this is a joke?!" Duskmon said with anger, "Our father abandoned our mother and married that other woman!".
"No, he wouldn't do that!" Beowolfmon said, though unsure, "Is this true, is he really my brother?" he thought.
"Raaaaaahhh, I'll make you pay for his sins!" Duskmon roared in frustration, before fractal code covered him, "Duskmon, slide evolution!" He then arose as "Velgemon!"
The beast then took to the skies as he stared down the light fusion.
"Frozen Hunter!" Beowolfmon then fired a ghostly blue fire wolf at the demon bird Digimon.
Velgemon charged forward but was held in place by the attack. Beowolfmon then jumped at the dark beast to strike. But when the attack faded Velgemon just flapped his wings and forced the light fusion to the ground.
"Uh!" he screamed in pain as hit the ground. As he tried to recover, Beowolfmon saw the dark beast beginning to draw a circle of orange light around him.
He didn't know what it meant, but it was not good. Beowolfmon then got up and tried to escape but it was too late.
Velgemon soon finished the circle, "Dark Obliteration!" his third eye glowed as his swooped upwards, causing the circle to close like a dome with darkness.
Thankfully Beowolfmon was able to jump out just in time. However, that did not stop the dome from exploding and hurting him.
The land was decimated forcing the light fusion to turn back to Koji.
Velgemon wasted no time in swooping down, ready for the kill, "Destroy!" he roared.
Koji could see the beast coming, but he was too hurt to move.
The beast screeched as its three eyes stared through his rival's soul as it prepared to strike.
Koji closed his eyes in fear. But instead of feeling the pain of the claws, he heard someone snap their fingers, "Huh?", he then opened his eyes to see something green.
"Dark Reflection!" Mercurymon shouted, causing his shields to shine.
Once the demon bird's claws hit the shield, Velgemon was forced back by his own strength.
"Mercurymon?!" Koji said with shock.
The steel warrior then turned towards him and smiled.
However, Velgemon didn't stay down for long and took off at his prey. But he wasn't the only one in the skies.
"Pyro Blaster!" BunringGreymon roared as he swooped in and blasted the demon bird.
"Raaaaarrkkk!" Velgemon cried, as the fire briefly blinded him.
"Takuya?" Koji asked, before Mercurymon grabbed him by the arm.
"We must escape post haste," the steel warrior explained, before looking to the skies "Come Takuya!".
BurningGreymon was then enveloped in fractal code and turned back to Takuya. He then landed next to the steel warrior.
However, Velgemon was now charging towards the heroes' full force.
Mercurymon then pulled Takuya and Koji into his mirror, before slipping in himself and vanishing with a snap.
Velgemon flapped to stop himself from crashing, before letting out a loud roar, "Raaaarrrrr, Kooojjjiiiiiiiiiiii!".
Meanwhile on the Trailmon,
"Are you sure dis is oon good idea?" Angler asked, "Isn't dis Duskmon rather dangerous?".
"Doesn't matter," Zoe replied, "We have to stop him before he can find our friends,".
"Besides, with our fusion forms, we'll squash that freak!" JP added.
"Sure, too bad not all have fusions," Grumblemon grumbled as he laid back.
Arbormon however, had a look of fear in his eyes. He then slowly turned around, which Tommy noticed.
"Arbormon?" he asked. But before he knew, the wooden robot had jumped off the train, "Arbormon?!" he cried, before jumping off the train after him.
"Tommy wait!" Zoe cried once she noticed.
The young boy landed on the tracks and quickly ran off to the warrior of wood, who was just standing there.
"Arbormon, what's wrong?" Tommy asked.
"I can'ts do it," he replied, "I can't face Duskmon, not again, yah understand?".
Tommy then thought back to when they defeated the wood warrior and how Duskmon had betrayed them.
"Look I'm really sorry right," Arbormon sighed, "But after what he dids to me, I?".
"It's okay to be scared Arbormon," Tommy said, which got the robot's attention, "It was pretty scary what Duskmon did to you back then,".
Arbormon then turned to look at Tommy.
"But remember when we fought Sephirothmon?" the boy asked, "How we were able to beat him?".
"Well, yeah we combined our powers and what not?" the wood warrior replied, "But's whats dat gots to do with dis?".
"Don't you remember how we came together and overcame our fears?" Tommy asked.
Arbormon then thought back to the moment.
"Yeah, yeah, I think I's gets you Tommy?" Arbormon said, cheering up a bit.
"Me told you, we protect you Arbormon," Grumblemon said, who had just walked up to the two, "Don't still trust friends,".
Arbormon then thought for a bit, before letting out a sigh of relief, "Yeah, I's trusts yous," he replied, to which Tommy smiled at, "Yous guys are right, I can'ts keeps running forever,".
They then heard the sound of the Trailmon Angler backing up.
"Hey you guys okay?" JP asked.
"Honestly, what are you even thinking Arbormon?!" Ranamon asked, slightly annoyed.
"Yeah, sorry bout that, right," he said as he scratched his head, before looking down at Tommy, "Hey thanks for de pep talk little guy,".
"No problem," Tommy happily replied.
Grumblemon just let out a friendly grunt.
A few moments elsewhere,
After the trio had escaped the dark beast. They had taken a moment to rest and catch each other up on what happened since the Sephirothmon incident, particularly the dimension warping by the DND's boss.
"So that's what's been going on?" Koji said, holding his arm, "So this Ben is why you and the other evil warirors are still around?"
"Tis be as I stand before you now," Mercurymon explained, "Even if the tragedy of the crimes I ha'f committed have no doubt filled thy with distrust, I am indeed good now'ith,".
Koji was quiet, seeming unsure how to respond. To which the steel warrior fronded.
"Hm, I see thou does not trust me?" he said as he looked away, "Tis not in the wrong, for thou's not the only one I haf wronged deeply,".
"You mean Ranamon don't you?" Takuya asked, making the mirror Digimon sigh.
"Forgive my inquisition, but how does one regain the trust of on so close?" Mercurymon asked, "How might one restore a bond darkened by misdeeds and negligence?".
The last part made Koji wince.
"Look, you just have to apologize to her Mercurymon," Takuya explained.
"But what if it be'ith not enough?" the steel warrior replied, "What then?".
"Well, I don't know, maybe show her you've changed somehow?" Takuya replied, rather unsure, "Look we will figure this out afterwards, right now we got to do something about Duskmon,".
"Tis most correct," Mercurymon said, "The matter of the warrior of darkness must be dealt with haste, especially now that the blagard has acquired a beast spirit,".
"Yeah no kidding," Takuya said, before trying to sound confident, "But if we work together, we might stand a chance!".
"I can't do it," Koji replied, his voice unsure.
"What?".
"Takuya, he's my brother," Koji explained, "I can't fight him,"
"That's impossible Koji," Takuya said, "Koji you said you were an only child?".
"Yeah, I thought I was, until-," he replied, sounding pessimistic.
"You can't believe that creep!" Takuya said, clutching his fist, "He's just trying to mess with your mind,".
"Hmm, I fear that may not be the case," Mercurymon pondered.
"What do you mean?" Takuya asked.
"I believe this, because of what thy interloper told'ith me," Mercurymon said, "When I encountered the shadowy Ben, he imparted a secret onto me," Mercurymon explained, "A secret that concern's both legendary warriors of light and dark,".
"Wait light and dark?" Takuya asked with confusion.
Koji stayed silent, but he knew what the steel warrior was going to say.
"As he put it, Duskmon be more similar thy humans than us Digimon," he explained.
"You mean Duskmon, is a human!?" Takuya said, "But what does it mean for Koji?".
"If thou wouldst not interrupt, I shall explain," Mercurymon replied, "For there was another important part to this secret that I believe is what has the blarged so focused on Koji,".
"Wait you mean he really is_?"
"Tis best I just show thou," he then held up his mirror.
In the images, the boys saw the time of when the first entered the digital world, as well as a boy that looked like Koji failing to get into the elevator in time. It then flashed to show this boy's life, how overworked his mother was and how the boy watched Koji's family from afar.
"Mom!" Koji said, shocked at the sight of who he thought was dead.
"For you'th see, the one that has become Duskmon is indeed Koji's brother, Koichi," Mercurymon explained.
"Koichi?" Koji thought.
"So, you know the truth now too?" a dark voice said.
The heroes then turned to see the warrior of darkness himself, Duskmon.
"Duskmon!" Koji said.
"So thou as returned?" Mercurymon said, "No matter, thou shall not pass by my shield,".
"Why do you suddenly care?" Duskmon asked, tauntingly, "Another one of your schemes?".
"Tis the old warrior of steel you speak'ith of," Mercurymon replied dramatically, "For I haf been purified and redeemed, a fate that will soon befall you knave,".
"I don't care about your self righteous babbling," Duskmon growled, "All I desire is revenge on Koji!".
"No, wait please, if your story is really true, turn back to your human form!" Koji cried, showing vulnerability as he ran forward, "I want to hear more about you, I want to hear more about mom!".
"K-koji, I?" Duskmon said, oddly not sounding threatening
"Please, I need to know, I want to know more brother," Koji pleaded, "Please tell me is Mom okay?".
"She's fine, but so overworked," Duskmon replied, seeming sad as he lowered his sword, "She's had to take care of me all by herself, I don't know how much longer she'l be able to-".
"Then I'll help her and you!" Koji shouted, surpising the dark digimon, "Once this is all over, you can take me to her, then I can get dad to help her!".
"Koji," Duskmon said, unsure how to feel.
"But please, you need to stop fighting for evil," Koji pleaded, pouring his soul into his words, "Please Koichi!".
"I, I?" Duskmon stuttered, feeling as if the boy's words were clenseing the evil in him.
But suddenly dark lighting energy covered the dark warrior, "Naaarrrggg!".
"You will obey!" a dark voice said in his mind, "Destroy your brother and make him pay!".
"Duskmon?" Koji said as he stepped back.
"Raaarrrrghhh!" he roared as fractal code covered him, "Duskmon slide evolution!" he then became, "Velgemon!".
The dark beast then took to the skies.
"It's too late!" Velgemon roared, before the ground around Koji began to erupt with dark walls, "Dark Obliteration!" he roared as his third eye glowed.
The walls of darkness nearly consumed Koji, but Takuya ran in and tackled him out of the way. Just in time, for all that was left when the attack ended was a lifeless crater.
"Just in time," Koji thanked.
"Hm-hmm," Takuya groaned as he gave a thumbs up.
"Takuya, Koji!" Bokomon shouted, as he, Neemon, and Patamon ran up to the crater.
Neemon almost fell in, but Patamon was able to save him.
"And where h'ath thou been?" Mercurymon asked.
"That's what I'd like to know?" Neemon stupidly replied, much to the steel warrior's annoyance.
"Wait what's Mercurymon doing here?!" Bokomon asked, to which the mirror Digimon just groaned in annoyance.
However, Velgemon swooped and knocked the humans into a ditch near the crater.
Velgemon then tried to attack again, but the small Patamon then flew in the way, distracting the dark beast.
Patamon then flew near the devil bird's face and puffed up his body, "Boom Bubble!" he then spat out his small attack, but sadly it diddn't do much, "Boom Bubble, Boom Bubble, Boom Bubble," he kept trying to blast the bird from different angles, but none of them phased the lard dark beast.
"Patamon!" Koji said in annoyance.
"Crazy little guy!" Takuya added as he got up.
"The bravery of Serphimon must still be within him, me thinks?" Mercurymon commented.
"Gerr, we got to beat him!" Takuya groaned as he got up and ran forward, before noticing Koji was still sitting down, "Come on we have to spirit evolve!".
"But Takuya, he's my brother," Koji explained, "I told you I can't fight him,".
"He's your what?!" Bokomon said as he looked down from atop the ditch.
"Hey, did I miss something?" Neemon asked as he ran up.
"My word, why didn't someone tell me this before?" Bokomon asked.
"Keep up with things you ninees!" Mercurymon complained, before jumped in to distract the dark beast with Patamon.
"He's my brother!" Koji shouted, "I know it's true, I knew it the first time I met him,"
"But it's so weird," Takuya said, sounding a bit calmer.
"Your telling me," Koji sighed, before sounding sure, "But there's no doubt in my mind, he's my brother all right and that freak Cherubimon is using him," he cried, "He gave him the spirit of darkness, my twin brother is the warrior of darkness!".
"Your brother," Takuya said, unsure how to respond.
He then thought about his own little brother Shinya. How this one time they got in a fight over the video game system, to the point where Takuya ran away in the rain. But even after that, his brother Shinya went out in the rain to give him an umbrella to say sorry. By the end of the day they were happily playing video games together. Having a brother was really an amazing thing.
"A brother, wow, Koji I'm really happy for you," Takuya said, finally accepting the truth, "That's great,".
"Huh?" Koji said, confused by the shift in Takuya's tone.
"Well, I'm sure you'll fight a lot, but that's just what brothers do," Takuya explained kindly, "Man, I miss my little brother, I never knew how much he meant to me, you know?".
Koji still didn't understand what Takuya was getting at, "You really do live in a different world Takuya," he said negatively, "He has an evil spirit,".
"Well then we'll just have to get it away from him!" Takuya encouraged, "All your brother really needs is a little fractal code digitize!".
"I can't," Koji sighed, "I won't fight him, I can't attack my own brother,".
Takuya had grown angry with Koji's pessimism and lifted him up by his shirt collar, "Listen to me, you'll fight him and I'll tell you why because he's your brother !" he shouted, "You're the only chance he has Koji, if his brother won't save him, who will?!" he continued "Koichi needs you, we need you, heck the whole digital world needs you!" Takuya shouted.
"Boom Bubble!" Patamon then tried to let out another attack, but to no avail, "I think I ran out of boom," he moaned as the dark beast stared at him.
"Raaaawww, you little twerp!" Velgemon had enough of the rookie Digimon's annoying attacks and tried to chomp him.
"Whhaaaa!" Patamon screamed.
But then Mercurymon appeared in front and blocked the bird with his shield, "Dark Reflection!" his mirror shined as it forced Velgemon back, allowing the steel warrior to grab Patamon and bring him to safety.
"Oh my baby," Bokomon said, as Mercurymon handed the rookie to him.
"I guess you're good now?" Neemon asked.
"Was there any reason to doubt?" Mercurymon replied.
"My brave little boy, I'm so proud of you I could just cry," Bokomon said as he hugged the rookie Digimon.
But then Velgemon swooped through, forcing the Digimon to duck.
"You can stay down here and feel sorry for yourself," Takuya said, before climbing out of the ditch, "But I have a fight to win!" he then began his fusion evolution.
Both of the spirits of fire glowed as the boy was covered in fractal code. The spirits each gave pieces of themselves as Takuya gained a new form. The fractal code then exploded away, revealing a red armored dragonoid warrior. The dragonborn hero slammed onto the pedestal as he threw a fireball and proclaimed himself as, "Aldamon!".
Velgemon then perched on a rock in front of the fire fusion, staring at him with his three blackened eyes.
Koji then climbed out of the ditch and ran towards the Digimon
"Koji please, we have to fight him to save his life," Aldamon said as he looked back at the boy
"But," Koji said.
"Dark Vortex!" Velgemon roared as his third eye glowed, before firing an eye beam at the fire fusion. It missed Aldamon thankfully, but only barely. Velgemon then flapped his gigantic wings, forcing the fire fusion to the ground, before grabbing him in his talons and taking flight.
"Let him go!" Koji cried, but only got dust in his face, "Aldamon!".
He then thought about what Takuya said before. How his brother needed him, and fighting was the only way to save him. But still could he really risk hurting his brother?
"Takuya speak'ith the truth," Mercurymon explained, catching the boy's attention, "I fear that defeating thou's brother may be'ith the only way to free him from lord Cherubimon's control,".
Koji thought for a bit, but then had a look of determination and began his fusion evolution.
Both of the spirits of light glowed as the boy was covered in fractal code. The spirits each gave pieces of themselves as Koji gained a new form. The fractal code then exploded away, revealing a new humanoid wolf themed warrior who jumped onto the pedestal before slashing with his double sword and let loose missiles with his other arm, before proclaiming himself, "BeoWolfmon!".
"That's more like it!" Velgemon roared as he swooped down and dropped Aldamon on the light fusion, before flying upwards.
"Truly graceful, really," Mercurymon said with sarcasm.
Velgemon then perched on a nearby rock.
"Dark Vortex!" the beast's third glowed, before firing the dark eye beam.
Mercurymon then held up his mirror and caught the attack, "Dark Reflection!" he then bounced the attack back, just missing the bird's leg.
"We got him now!" Aldamon then began charging up a fire ball like a fighting move, before holding up a huge sun, "Solar Wind Destroyer!" he then tossed the sun at the bird, setting the dark beast aflame. The impact was so great it forced Bokomon Neemon and Patamon into the ditch
"Naaaaaauuugghhh!" Velgemon cried in pain as, until the flames faded.
"We got him on the ropes, it's up to you," Aldamon said to the light fusion.
"Strike swift and true!" Mercurymon added.
Beowolfmon then raised his sword to the sky, as a giant wolf of light blue fire arose from it, "Frozen Hunter!" he shouted as his eyes glowed, before jumping forward in the wolf.
The light fusion then slashed the demon bird and burned him with the flames.
Velgemon roared in pain, as his fractal code began to show.
"Unwilling slave of darkness be purified by light!" Beowolfmon said as he readied his D-tector.
But before anyone could get near the fractal code, dark lighting forced them back once again.
"No, not yet!" a dark voice said.
"Lord Cherubimon?" Mercurymon gasped.
Then the shadow of the evil rabbit appeared, his arms covering the dark Digimon.
"Get away from my brother you fiend!" Beowolfmon demanded.
"Let him go!" Aldamon added.
"Hmhmhm, I will not let my final warrior go so easily," Cherubimon laughed, as a dark mist began to cover Velgemon, "Time for you fufill your end of the deal stranger,"
"What's he doing?" Aldamon asked.
Beowolfmon tried to jump into the dark void but was forced back, "Koichi!".
"I fear'ith this may have not been in the script?" Mercurymon said with worry.
Inside of the dark void,
Koichi breathed heavily as the darkness ate away at him.
"W-whats happening?" he asked in pain.
He then felt a presence he didn't know, something otherworldly.
Koichi, hear me now.
"W-who's there?" he asked.
That is not important right now.
Suddenly images of Koichi's past appeared in front of him.
It hurts doesn't it, the malice that lurks in you? How you and your mother were abandoned, just so your father could be with another woman?
"But Cherubimon already told-?"
I'm not asking about what you know. I'm asking about how you feel? How does it make you feel? It's not wrong to feel anger against injustice and unfairness.
Koichi thought for a moment, "It, hurts, how could farther do this?!" he said, beginning to cry, "Why did he lie to Koji, why wasn't mom and me important enough!?" has he said this, a different kind of darkness began to form, "How could, how could he!?".
Yes, that's it. Let it all out. Your feelings of hatred and malice are absolutely justified! They tossed you aside, only focusing on those that were chosen to be heroes, well you were left to be forgotten, even though you were much more interesting and enjoyable then those annoying humans!
Even though what the voice was seeming not exact, the words still fueled the darkness of the boy.
Let your malice out, let it run wild and punish those that wronged you!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Koichi screamed as his eyes glowed red and darkness consumed him. Then a terrifying eyeball appeared around him, as the darkness overflowed as the corrupted spirits of darkness appeared.
Because soon, you will be free of all that hatred and pain. Just hang in there a bit longer….
The dimesion started to warp and flicker, causing something to happen to the spirits of darkness.
Forgive me….
Koichi screamed as the dark evolution began.
Each of the spirits of darkness had piece of themselves forced onto the boy. He screamed with pain and anger as the fusion completed itself, and a dark monsterus eye opened.
Back outside,
"What is going on in there?!" Aldamon shouted, struggling against the overflowing darkness.
"I fear'ith the worst my be'ith upon us!" Mercurymon said as held up his shield.
"Koichi!" Beowolfmon shouted.
Suddenly the darkness stopped forcing them back.
Then where the dark beast once stood, the heroes saw a dark figure that towered over them like a kaiju (Godzila like monster).
"W-what is that?" Aldamon said in fear.
The darkness began to fade, slowly revealing a true abomination.
The creature resembled Duskmon, except his humanoid shape had been mutated into a giant monster, his arms had heads that resembled Duskmon's hands crossed with Velgemon's head but even more demonic, his feet had three giant claws with bloodshot eyeballs in between, from his black skeletal back hung a large reptilian tail with black bone spikes and a blood like stripes, on his back wear the huge black wings of Velgemon but now more demonic and tattered, out his skull shaped shoulders were blood colored spikes as sharp as blades with a single eyeball in each right eye hole, and his around his head was a monstrous demon dragon skull with a stretched out mouth filled with lifless fangs, and on that head where three pure red eyes on each side and in the center a huge overly detailed black eye with red iris starred down his enemies.
"Roaaaaaarrrr!" the monster roared, it's voice demonic and starved "DarkestDestroyahmon!".
DarkestDestroyamon, the evil fusion of the spirits of darkness born out of malice and pain. His attacks Dark End and Necro Annihilation are powerful enough to send any Digimon to the afterlife.
"What has Cherubimon done to you?" Beowoflmon cried, his heart filling with anxiety.
"Raaahhhhhhh!" the dark fusion roared like a shrieking dragon, sending chills into everyone's bones.
"It's a ,fusion?" Aldamon stuttered.
The dark fusion remained still, breathing heavily.
"Proceed with caution my fellow warriors," Mercurymon said, "For I feel that this monstrosity may not be a natural occurrence,".
The many disgusting eyes then slowly locked onto where the warriors were standing, "Necro Annihilation!" DakestDestroyamon then blasted dark purple lasers from all his eyes.
"Look out!" Aldamon shouted.
The fusions jumped out of the way, while Mercurymon blocked with his mirrors.
"Nnneeerggg!" he shouted in pain, as if he could feel all the hatred and malice from the dark fusion in they attack, "Dark Reflection!" he then shot the attack back across the dark fusions left side.
"Raaaaaaaarrrrr!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, before raising his skeletal arms, that began to charge up an evil energy, "Dark End!" he then blasted black beams onto a single spot.
Mercurymon didn't feel like pressing his luck and swiftly teleported away.
Once the attack hit the land, it exploded into a mini black hole. Beowolfmon began to be pulled in, but quickly stabbed his spear into the ground. Aldamon was also being pulled in, but quickly landed and stabbed his blasters into the ground as well. The force of the Dark End still pulled relentlessly, but eventually the black hole shrank, before exploding, spreading a painful darkness to the heroes.
"Aaaaaahh!" the fusions screamed as the darkness burned them, before falling to the ground.
Mercurymon then teleported in, shocked at the damage that had befallen his allies, "Arm's bobkins!".
"Ughh, man that hurt," Aldamon groaned as he stood up.
"I'm scared papamon!" Patamon whined as he hugged Bokomon in the ditch.
"Isn't there anything about this Darkest- whatever in your book Bokomon?" Aldamon asked.
"I'm afraid not Takuya," Bokomon replied as he flipped through the green book, while trying to comfort his child, "There's not even a mention of any Digimon like this,".
"Maybe it's in the next volume?" Neemon stupidly added.
"Tis matters not, for this abomination be'ith Cherubimon's final warrior," Mercurymon said, "DarkestDestroyamon, truly the legendary warrior of darkness at thy worst,".
Beowolfmon groaned as he gazed upon the dark fusion. Out of all the Digimon they had encountered in the Digital World, none was more terrifying than this monster. However, Koji then heard something.
"Koji, help, please,"
"Huh, Koichi?" he thought.
The voice sounded sad, like it was in pain. Then the light fusion took another look at the dark fusion. DarkestDestroyamon looked like it was in pain, like it's very existent was torment.
Koji then remembered what AnceintGarurumon had told him and knew what needed to be done, "Bring light to darkness," He mumbled as he stood up, before running towards the dark fusion.
"Koji!" Aldamon shouted.
"I fear our combined strength may not be enough?" Mecurymon said, before getting an idea, "But perhaps?", he then slipped into his mirror shield.
"Where you going?!" Aldamon said with annoyance.
"I must seek reinforcements to combat thy dark fusion," Mercurymon explained, "Fight the good fight until my return!".
"Wait a minute, Mercurymon?!" Aldamon tried to say, but the steel warrior was already gone, "Uggh fine, wait up Koji!" the fire fusion then took flight towards the dark monster that towered over the heroes.
Not to far away, with the other heroes,
Trailmon Angler was chugging down the tracks, until a huge aftershock forced him off.
"Niiiiieeegh!" he screamed as he fell of the track.
"Aaaahh!" the heroes screamed as they fell off.
"What was that sugar?" Ranamon asked, her voice trembling as she clung to the train, before sliding off, "Wah, ohhh!".
"Something big, and probably dark," JP guessed as hung on.
"Waahhh, the world's upside down!" Tommy cried as he hung upside down, with Arbormon holding onto to him so he didn't fall.
"Hey its all right," the robot replied, trying to hide his fear, "What were yous guys just telling me's abouts being brave, right?".
"Whatever that was, I hope it didn't hit Takuya and the others," Zoe moaned, as she tried to stand.
"Best get move on and go!" Grumblemon said, while hanging from Angler's light, before letting go.
After everyone dusted themselves off, they saw that Trailmon Angler had been knocked off the tracks.
"Um, sorry to bother, but I'm not sure I's can travel like this, yah," Angler moaned, having been turned sideways by the force.
"How are we gonna find them now!?" JP groaned.
"No worries, me got this, execute!" Grumblemon was then enveloped in fractal code, "Slide evolution!" he then became, "Gigasmon!".
The earth giant then lifted up the fish shaped train and dropped him back onto the tracks the right way.
"Oofm, thank you, yah," Angler said, though still a bit shaken.
"Eh, nice job buddy, right," Arbormon said.
To which Gigasmon smiled, before turning back to Grumblemon.
"Okay, but how are we going to find the others now?" Zoe asked, "I doubt things are going okay for them at this rate?".
"I know sugar, but it's not like the answer is just going to appear right in front of us, now is it?" Ranamon said, before a familiar face teleported in.
"Nay, but perhaps behind thou it may appear, if thy ask nicley?" a Shakespearean voice said.
The others then turned around to see the legendary warrior of steel standing behind them. "Mercurymon!?".
The steel warrior then smirked.
Back with the fusions,
Aldamon and Beowolfmon fighting fiercely against DarkeastDestroyamon.
Beowolfmon blasted missiles from his arm at the monster, but they had little effect.
"Atomic Inferno!" Aldamon shouted as he rapidly blasted fire shots as he flew, "How you like that!?"
But the attacks barely phased the dark fusion.
DarkestDestroyamon then contorted its many eyes and shouted, "Necro Annihilation!" he then fired purple lasers at the fusions.
The heroes were able to dodge for the most part, while unleashing their attacks, but a few of the lasers were able to sneak in and scorch them.
"Ger, why's his fusion so strong?" Aldamon growled.
"Doesn't matter, I have to save him!" Beowolfmon said, with determination, "We can't give up now!".
"Hey who said anything about giving up eh?" Aldamon replied jokingly, before he and Beowolfmon had to dodge another batch of lasers.
"Come on guys, you can do it!" Bokomon cheered from the ditch.
"I'll help!" Patamon said bravely as tried to fly away to the fight, before Bokomon pulled him back.
"No way, I don't want to hear any of that!" Bokomon cried like a worried parent as he tried to hold back Patamon.
"Really, then what about hearing a train?" Neemon asked.
"What are you even going on ab-?" Bokomon tried to say, before hearing the sound of a train whistle, "huh, now what could that be?".
The fusions heard this too, once the lasers stopped, they then looked back to see a what looked like a Trailmon Angler approaching on the side of a nearby hill. But they soon realized that on that Trailmon were their friends, the other warriors.
"The others!" Beowolfmon said with surprise.
"Hey guys!" Aldamon said with delight.
"Hey Takuya Koji!" Zoe shouted as she waved, "How yah been!".
"We've been looking all for you two!" Tommy shouted.
"Right," Arbormon added, "Though it looks likes you've found a load of trouble?".
"Don't worry, we're here to help save the day!" JP shouted, as he and the other humans held out their D-tectors.
"Alright!" Aldamon shouted with joy.
The three humans then jumped of the train and began their fusion evolutions
Both of the spirits of thunder glowed as the chubby boy was covered in fractal code. The spirits each gave pieces of themselves as JP gained a new form. The fractal code then exploded away, allowing six legs to stop the ground as the giant blue and gold beetle sparked with lightning, he then opened his mouth under his two horns of rhino and stag and proclaimed himself, "RhinoKabuterimon!"
Both of the spirits of ice glowed as the young boy was covered in fractal code. The spirits each gave pieces of themselves as Tommy gained a new form. The fractal code then exploded away, revealing a giant purple penguin with ice pops? The bird then breathed out a puff of cold air and proclaimed himself as, "Daipenmon," before then opening up to allow the true ice fusion to jump out, "And, Arcticmon!" he said as he whipped out his weapons, with Daipengmon closing and letting out a friendly squawk.
Both of the spirits of wind glowed as the girl was covered in fractal code. The spirits each gave pieces of themselves as Zoe gained a new form. The fractal code then exploded away, revealing a blue haired humanoid girl with jet like armor that covered most of her body. The fusion then descended onto the pedestal with the thrusters on her pack active, she then grabbed her wepion a large blue pinwheel and proclaimed herself "JetSilphymon!".
"Don't think we no help too!" Grumblemon said, after jumping onto RhinoKabuteirmon.
"We may not have fancy fusions, but we can still fight!" Ranamon said confidently as she joined the earth warrior on the giant beetle as it took flight.
"You's got dat right!" Arbormon added as he hung from the thunder fusion.
Daipengmon then hit the ground, while the other flew in the sky nearby.
"Looks like the cavalry's here!" Aldamon cheered.
"I as I promised," Mercurymon said after teleporting next to the fire fusion, "I ha'f delivered,".
"Raaaaaarrrrr!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, seeming unamused by the appearance of the other warriors.
"Grumblemon guess that freak Duskmon fusion" the earth warrior said as he hung onto RhinoKabuteirmon's horn.
"And I thought he was ugly before?" the thunder fusion added.
"I mean, talk about edgey," Ranamon snarked.
"Raaaaaarr!" DarkestDestroyamon roared in anger, scaring the three digimon that mocked him.
"Wha!?" Ranamon screamed, nearly falling off, "I guess he heard us sugar?".
"Maybe don't provoke him, alright?" JetSilphymon suggested.
"You okay Arbormon?" Daipengmon asked as he looked at the robot.
"A little shaken, but we'll get through this right?" he replied, before letting go of the beetle, "After all, I's believe I've got a few things I'd like to express to ol' Dusky, let me just put on the proper attire, right," he was then covered in fractal code, "Arbormon, slide evolution!" he then arose from the land as, "Petaldramon!".
Daipengmon then opened up and shot out Arcticmon, who then landed next to the wood beast, "Well let me help you with that!" he smirked.
"Don't forget Grumblemon!" the earth warrior said as he jumped of the bug, before fractal code covered him, "Slide evolution!" he then hit the ground hard as, "Gigasmon!".
"Wait guys, he's not just the warrior of darkness!" Beowolfmon tried to explain.
"Don't worry Koji, Mecurymon filled us in," JetSilphymon said as she flew in, "I don't know what's going on with your brother, but we're here to help!".
"Really?" Beowolfmon said in surprise.
"Yeah really, we'll zap the evil right out of him!" RhinoKabuteirmon said, as his horn sparked.
"We're not afraid!" Arcticmon added.
"It would appear that thou is not so alone as thou appeared in Sephirothmon eh?" Mercurymon pointed out, "It seems perhaps, thou was never alone?".
"We're right behind you Koji!" Aldamon encouraged.
"You guys," Beowolfmon said, "Thank you," he then raised up his weapon, "Now let's show DarkestDestroyamon our light!".
"Yeah!" the legendary warriors cheered.
"Raaaaaaaaaooooorrrr!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, "Necro Annihilation!" he then let loose his lasers.
The warriors scattered, attempting to dodge the lasers. The flying Digimon maneuvered around the lasers while the ground based Digimon tried to outrun them.
"Jet Binter!" JetSilphymon shouted as she fired her air shots.
"Thunder Laser!" RhinoKabuteirmon roared as lightning shot from his horn.
"Dark Vapor!" Ranamon said, shooting a black vapor from her finger.
The attacks made the dark fusion growl in pain. DarkestDestroyamon then slowing lifted his wings and flapped them at the warriors, sending a gust of hair that forced them back.
"Whaaaahh!" they screamed.
Jet Silphymon was forced back the hardest. But RhinoKabuterimon was able to catch her on his back. However, he was also struggling to stay flying.
"Hang on!" he shouted.
"What do you think we're doing?" JetSilphymon replied, while she and Ranamon struggled to hang on.
"Gerrr, Atomic Inferno!" Aldamon groaned, as he blasted fire at the monster.
Thankfully, some of the fire shots were able to hit DarkestDestroyamon's wings, causing him to roar in pain.
"Blizzard Barrage!" Arcticmon then let loose his snow missiles.
"Quagmire Twister!" Gigasmon shouted as he spun up a mud tornado.
"Leaf Cyclone!" Petaldramon added before blowing his leaf filled gust.
The tornados combined with the missiles and enveloped DarkestDestroyamon.
"Raaaaaaaaarrrrhhhhhggggg!" the beast roared as the attack blinded his many grotesque eyes.
"Oh yeah!" Acrticmon cheered.
"Hehe, that show him!" Gigasmon cheered with a closed fist.
"Right!" Petaldramon added
However, the dark fusion was not going to take this lying down.
"Dark End!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, before firing his devastating attack.
"Look out!" Aldamon warned, before he and the other airborne Digimon scattered.
From the dark fusion's arms and mouth came dark energy that blasted into the ground, creating a dark hole that began to pull everything in.
Most of the heroes had manged to get far away enough from the attack, but Gigasmon happened to be the closest and had started to get pulled in. The earth beast quickly slammed his his into the ground, but the attack was too strong and yanked him into the air.
"Huh, me no think this good?" Gigasmon said with worry.
"Hold on buddy!" Petaldramon shouted, before spitting out his tongue and grabbing the earth giant.
"Gah, thanks Petaldramon," He thanked, though the hole was still pulling him in, "Best hold tight to Gigasmon!".
"Hey I'm trying, right!?" the wood beast replied, as he dug his tail into the ground.
However, the dark fusion's eyes then locked onto Petaldramon and glowed, "Necro Annihilation!" dark purple at the grass covered lizard.
"Daaaahhhhh!" Petaldramon groaned in pain as the lasers burned him, "Dat dah best yous gots!?" This caused his grip on the ground to loosen, but the wood beast struggled on to hang on to his friend.
"Oh no!" Arcticmon cried, before whistling for his penguin.
"Can't, take, much, more, right?" Petaldramon groaned, "But I ain't running, yah understand!".
But suddenly, Daipengmon landed in front of the lasers and blocked them with his popsicles.
"Eh, oh?" Petaldramon said, before noticing his strange savor, "Eh thanks a ton Daipengmon, right,".
The large penguin quacked with a smirk, before noticing his popsicles were starting to melt. However, that was the least of their problems for the dark end attack then exploded, forcing the warriors back and onto the ground.
"Whaaaah!" they screamed, before hitting the ground.
"You okay guys?" JetSilphymon asked with concern as she flew in.
"Been better been worse, yah understand?" Petaldramon groaned.
"Gerr, why dusk dork so get so strong?!" Gigasmon growled.
Daipengmon just flailed his feet and wings humorously, unable to get up.
Meanwhile Rhino Kabuterimon and Ranamon where flying towards DarkestDestroyamon's face.
"Thunder Laser!" The thunder fusion shouted as he fired his attack from his horns.
"Dark Vapor!" Ranamon shouted as fired her attack from her finger.
The attacks pelted the monster, but didn't seem to have any effect.
"Oh come on already!" Ranamon huffed, before raising her hand, "Draining Rain!"
A rain cloud appeared over DarkestDestroyamon's head and began pouring on the monster's face. The dark fusion did not react, until the water began to eat away at his biggest eye.
"Yaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrhhhh!" it screamed in pain, before setting its sights on the large beetle, "Necro Annihilation!" he then blasted all his purple lasers at the thunder fusion.
RhinoKabuterimon tried to dodge, but the sheer number of lasers was too great and shot him out of the sky.
"Oh noooooo!" RhinoKabuterimon cried as he went down,
"Wa-wait a minute, JP!" Ranamon cried as she struggled to hold on. But sadly, she was soon thrown off and went plummeting down, "Whaaaaaaaaa!".
"Ranamon!" Mercurymon gasped, terrified as the water warrior fell.
"AAAAAAhhhh!" She screamed.
"Hang on!" Aldamon shouted as he swooped and grabbed the girl in his arms.
"Wha-huh?" Ranamon said before noticing her savior, "Oh thank you sugar," she thanked, "Y'know I've never noticed how heroic and cute you look?".
"Oh well, y'know," Aldamon smiled, sounding a bit shy and proud as they descended.
"Necro Annihilation!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, before letting loose lasers on the fire fusion's wings.
The laser shocked the fire warrior and neutralized his flight.
"Uh oh, ahhhh!" Aldamon screamed as he went down, accidently dropping Ranamon.
"Not again, aaaaahh!" she screamed before hitting the ground, "Oh, this is no way to treat a lady!" she whined. But as she struggled to get up, she saw that DarkestDestroyamon had all his eyes onto her, "Huh, I know I like attention, but not like this!".
"Necro Annihilation!" the lasers then fired, all barreling at the water warrior.
"Ranamon!" JetSliphymon cried as she tried to fly to her.
But DarkestDestroyamon saw this and pointed one of his eye lasers at the wind fusion and zapped her.
"AAhhh!" she screamed before slamming into the ground, "No,".
"Oh my," Ranamon said with fear as the lasers came closer.
But suddenly Mercurymon teleported in front of her and raised his shields.
"Mercurymon?" Ranamon said in disbelief.
"Dark Reflection!" the steel warrior shouted, as the lasers hit his mirrors.
However, despite blocking the attack, the sheer power and amount of laser's left Mercurymon unable to send it back.
"Mercurymon!?" Ranamon said.
"Move," he struggled to say.
"Huh?".
"I said'ith move!" Mercurymon shouted, struggling greatly, "Before it be'ith too late m'lady!".
Ranamon quickly snapped out of her trance and jumped away. Just in time, for the lasers finally got the better of the steel warrior.
"Naaaaaaggghh!" Mercurymon screamed as he was forced down as the lasers fried him.
Ranamon watched in horror as steel warriors mirrors cracked slightly, "Mercurymon noooooo!" she screamed.
The lasers then stopped, for the attack had drained the dark fusion, causing it to breath heavily.
Mercurymon was still alive, but it was hard to tell from looking at his damaged scratched up body. The water warrior's heart was sinking as she thought back to early.
Flashback,
The steel warrior had just appeared before the others near the Trailmon. In a matter of moments, he had explained the situation about the warrior of darkness as well as how to find the others. The humans and Digimon where quickly preparing to leave on the Trailmon. However, Ranamon wanted to talk to the steel warrior first.
"Mercurymon?" Ranamon said, feeling hesitant as she approached the mirror knight, "Listen, I-?"
"Apologizes, but your plight with me must wait fair Ranamon," Mercurymon said with concern, "Thou can'st scold me later,".
"What, that's not what I-?" she tried to say before being interrupted.
"I am aware of your distrust m'lady, and it is not unwarranted," he explained, sounding regretful, "But for this time, please trust me until our comrades are safe," Mercurymon then snapped his fingers and disappeared through his mirror.
"Wait a minute, Mercurymon!?" Ranamon pleaded, but he was already gone, "Oh, why can't you listen for just a minute you shiny twit!" she shouted in frustration, "I wasn't even that mad at you, but now, oofrm!" she whined.
"Ranamon, we have to go!" Zoe shouted, "You can be mad at him later!".
"Ger, I know!" Ranamon shouted back, before getting onto the train.
End of flashback,
Ranamon ran to the downed warrior of steel, her emotions overflowing.
"Mercurymon!" she cried as she tried to comfort him, "What were you thinking sugar?!".
"Tis, merely a scratch," Mercurymon said, while struggling with the pain, "Tis more important that a fair maiden like thou tis safe,".
"Oh shut up!" She cried, very worried, "What about you sugar?!".
"After my misdeeds against thou and thy warriors, I have found that to make up for thy sins, that I shall protect rather than serve myself," the hurt warrior explained, "I doubt tis has fully cleansed me of the misdeeds I used thou for, but,".
"That's enough!" she cried, before sounding sincere, "I may be hurt by what you did, but I want things between us to be ripe as rain like before!".
"Ranamon?" Mercurymon said, surprised by the water warrior's kind worlds
"But too that, I need you to be in one-piece, right sugar?" She said kindly with a smile.
"Hmhm, I suppose thou has a point m'lady," Mercurymon chuckled, "Forgive me for me hastiness', amongst other things,".
"You forgiven Mercurymon," Ranamon said with a smile, as she held the steel warrior's hand, making him smile
However, DarkestDestroyamon had recharged and was reading a dark end attack at the damaged steel warrior.
"Oh no, Mercurymon!" Aldamon said, struggling to move his wings, "There's got to be something I can-?" but then he felt something inside his code, something metallic and a bit creepy, "Wait, I can't but I know what can?" he thought, before shouting, "Hey flat face, you still want to protect?".
"What silly question tis that be?!" Mercurymon scoffed, "Need I repeat my testimony?".
"Naw, something inside me tells me you really mean it," Aldamon smirked, as he pulled out his D-tector.
"Wait, surly you don't mean?" Ranamon asked.
"If thou speak'ith if what I theorize, then make haste Aldamon!" Mercurymon said as he struggled to get up, "Make way m'lady, for the beast shall be unleashed!".
"Right away dearie!" Ranamon cheered as she backed up.
"Dark-!" DarkestDestroyamon said as he began to fire his devastating attack.
"You want it, well here yah go!" Aldamon shouted as he held out his D-tector and a spirit resembling green orbs with eyeballs stacked on each other shot out.
The beast spirit was about to reach Mercurymon, when,
"-End! DarkestDestroyamon then launched his black hole at the steel warrior. But before the darkness hit,
"Execute, beast spirit evolution!" Mercurymon shouted, as the transformation began.
Mecurymon appeared in the digivultion zone and soon the screen zoomed on to his lips. He then smiled as his face seamlessly became that of a green ball with giant lips. The screen then zoomed out to reveal the contorted bundle of blobs that soon straightened out and proclaimed itself,
"Sephirothmon!".
As the Dark End hit, Ranamon braced herself. But she felt nothing and was safe.
"Huh, oh wow!" she cheered as she opened her eyes.
The beast of steel was once more and was sucking the darkness into its eyes, consuming the entire attack.
"You did Mercurymon!" Ranamon cheered, "Or I guess I should say Sephirothmon, you know it's a lot less freaky when you're on the other side of the attacks huh?".
"Ummphrrprp," the steel beast groaned, as if he was trying to keep his mouth closed.
"I beg your parden sugar?" Ranamon asked.
However, the others were able to see that Sephirothmon was struggling to keep the attack in.
"He's going to blow!" RhinoKabutiermon shouted.
"Get out of the way everyone!" JetSilphymon shouted, before flying out of the way.
"No problem!" Gigasmon said, before he and Petaldramon switched back to their human spirits and ducked.
"Right!" Arbormon added.
The others quickly moved out of the way of the steel beast as well. With the way all clear, Sephirothmon then opened his mouth and let loose the attack.
"Dark End Reflection!" he shouted in pain as the darkness shot from his mouth and all his eyes.
The reflected attack went barreling right back at the dark fusion, forcing him backwards.
"Roaooooaaaaaaarrrrr!" DarkestDestroyamon screamed in pain as he was pushed back, still standing strong.
When the attack was done, the steel beast then collapsed onto the ground, exhausted from the retaliating.
"Ugh," he sighed as the orb with the mouth fell near Ranamon, "Forgive me, for I hope this form has not tormented thy with it's return?".
"Not at all," Ranamon said as she patted the steel beast, "Thank you dearie,".
This made Sephirothmon smile, albeit a bit creepy but comforting.
"Did we get him?" Arcticmon asked.
"Koichi!?" Beowolfmon said with concern.
But as the dust cleared, the dark fusion was still standing breathing heavily. But soon the monster started screeching, "Raaaaaarrrrrhhhhh, Aaaaaahhhhh!" he roared, as its eyes bugged out, firing dark lasers randomly that didn't hit heroes.
"What's happening to him?" JetSilphymon asked.
"He's completely lost control!" Arcticmon guessed.
"Raaaahhhhhh!" DarkestDestroyamon roared in pain, though it didn't sound like physical pain.
"We have to defeat him now!" Beowolfmon said, fearing for his brother's safety.
"Me know, but how break through!" Grumblemon pointed out.
"No matter what we do, none of our attacks can break through?" RhinoKabuterimon groaned.
"What are we going to do now sugar?" Ranamon asked, "I don't think Sephy over here can handle another one of those attacks,".
"Tis true, thy dark fusion's onslaught be'ith unlike any other Digimon," Sephitrothmon explained, "For they are filled with malice and torment, unlike any I haf reflected.
Beowolfmon gazed upon the dark fusion as it struggled, "Koichi, what's happened to you?" he sighed
"Ko-ko-koji, help, me," A faint voice the light fusion heard in his head pleaded.
"Koichi?!" Beowolfmon gasped.
"I can't control, myself, help," the voice sighed, "I'm sorry, the darkness is too much,".
"Koichi, please hang on!" Beowolfmon shouted.
"Raaaarrrrr!" DarkestDestroyamon roared, titling his long head down.
But when he did this, the light fusion noticed something. The center eye was unlike the others, as it never fired any of the necro annilations. But that was not all, for the eye was a lot darker detailed than the others, in fact it actually looked as if someone was trapped inside it.
"The eye, that must be his weak spot!" Beowolfmon realized.
"The eye?" Aldamon asked.
"Just look, that must be where all his power is being kept!" Beowolfmon explained.
"Of course, how could I haf not seen it!" Sephirothmon gasped, before pulling himself together, "Perhaps a perfect blow to it could finally vanquish the dark one!".
"I think you're onto something sugar," Ranamon said, "That must be why he freaked out when I splashed him there!".
"Den dat probably means he's not going to let us near it, right?" Arbormon pointed out.
"Doesn't matter!" Beowolfmon said, before turning to the others, "Guys, you gotta get me up there, please!".
"Do you even need to ask?" Articmon smirked, before spreading his wings ready to fly.
"Where with you to the end Koji!" Aldamon assured.
"You can count on us all!" JetSilphymon added.
Beowolfmon smiled at this.
RhinoKabuterimon then landed next to the light fusion, "Hop on buddy!" he said.
The light fusion did so with haste, "Lets go!".
The bug then took of towards the dark fusion. But at this point DakrestDestroyamon had began to settle down, had began to retaliate. "Necro Annihilation!" he roared as the dark lasers fired from the other eyes.
"Whoa!" RhinoKabutiermon shouted, barely dodging the assault, "Sorry, I don't think I can get past that,".
But then a barrage of snow missiles flew past and struck one of the eyes.
"Raargg!"
"Tommy ?!" Beowolfmon said.
"Don't worry about flying, will handle the lasers," Arcticmon said, as he held his axe blaster, "Right guys,".
"We right behind you!" Grumblemon said as he pulled out his hammer.
"No worries, right!" Arbormon added.
The legendary warriors, despite battered and hurt from the battle, stood strong ready to end this.
"Let's do this!" Aldamon commanded as he took flight, alongside the wind and thunder fusions.
RhinoKabuterimon went charging in with Beowolfmon holding on. It wasn't long until the lasers started up, but this time the heroes fought back.
"Cleansing Light!" Beowolfmon shouted as he let loose missiles from his arm.
"Thunder Laser!" RhinoKabuterimon roared.
The attacks struck two of the eyes, making the lasers cease. But sadly, two of the others were able to hit the bug's wings.
"Yaahh!" he screamed, before starting to descend, "Keep going Koji!".
"Right!" Beowolfmon replied, before jumping off into the air.
"I got you!" JetSilphymon said as she swooped in and grabbed the wolf clad hunter, "Lets go!". The wind fusion then maneuvered around the monster, as the lasers tried to strike them. As they flew DarkestDestroyamon tried to smash them with his arms. But then one of the lasers hit the wind fusions jets, causing her to fall. "Ahh, no!" she cried, before tossing the light fusion upwards, "It's up to you Aldamon!".
"Got it!" Aldamon said as he swooped in, "Let's do this Koji!".
Beowolfmon nodded, before pointing his arm cannon at dark fusion, "Cleansing Light!" he then launched missiles that struck the right shoulder eyes.
The fusion roared at this and prepared to retaliate.
But then Arbormon fired one of his seeds that exploded on the left arm, causing vines to wrap around and close it.
"Get Grumblemon close!" the earth warrior commanded.
"Right!" Arbormon replied, before tossing the gnome into the air at the dark fusion.
"Slide evolution!" Grumblemon then turned into Gigasmon and slammed onto the other arm.
Ranamon and Arcticmon then launched their attacks at the steel beast.
"Dark Vapor!"
"Blizzard Barrage!"
Sephirothmon then absorbed the attacks into his orbs before maneuvering himself to then reflect them to attack the dark fusion. "Have at thy!" he proclaimed as the attacks fired.
The attacks then pelted DarkestDestroyamon, which made him roar with anger. These repeated attacks from the legendary warriors distracted the dark fusion just long enough for Aldamon to get high enough above the dark fusion.
"Do it Koji!" Aldamon cheered as he threw the light fusion towards the weak point.
"DarkestDestroyamon, I will show you the light!" he roared before firing a wolf of blue fire, "Frozen Hunter!".
DarkestDestroyamon looked up at the hunter, but it was too late. The blue fire blinded the kaiju, before it combined with Beowolf's weapon.
"Koichi!" Beowolfmon shouted as he plunged the blade into the grotesque eye. The blade pierced through the eye, causing the dark fusion to freeze.
The digital world was silent, before DarkestDestroyamon let out one a final scream.
"Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!" it roared as it flaided in pain.
Beowolfmon then leaped of the monster's head and raised his blade in the air. "Release my brother now creature of evil!" a beam of light then emerged from his blade. The light fusion then slammed it down, slicing the dark fusion in half.
"Raaaaaarrrhhhhhhh!" DarkestDestroyamon screamed as his corrupted fractal code that held the spirits of darkness finally showed, alongside the images of Velgemon, Duskmon, and Koichi screaming as well.
Beowolfmon then landed on the ground, determined to end this, "Unwilling slave of darkness, finally be purified by the light," he then readied his D-tector and swiped it across the data, "Fractal code digitize!"
The code began to enter the Digivise, but it was so corrupted that the light fusion struggled to contain it all, Koji was nearly forced back by the malice.
But then Aldamon then landed behind and helped Beowolfmon contain the corrupted code, "Hang in there!".
Jetsilphymon then did the same, "You can do this!".
One by one the others then stood behind him as the D-tector consumed the fractal code.
With the combined efforts of the legendary warriors, the warrior of darkness was finally no more. DarkestDestroyamon as well as all the other forms of the dark warrior disintegrated, leaving only the boy who was finally free. Once fractal code entered Koji's D-tector, a demonic mass of darkness then erupted from it into the sky. The darkness let out a final roar, before exploding into particles. Most of the particles dispersed, but a few were swiped by a different type of shadow.
I'll save you for later, hmhmhm.
The shadow then zipped away, it's end of the deal finished, My parts done bunny boy, see that you don't interfear later.
Back on the ground, all the fusions had reverted to their human forms, tired, and exhausted from the epic clash.
"You did it, my world you actually did it!" Bokomon cheered alongside Patamon, while Neemon just laid down.
"It's really over, right?" Arbormon asked, feeling as if fear was gone.
"I believe it be so Arbormon," Mercurymon said, "Fore it seems the light has finally brought a end to the horid nightmare that once stood before us,"
"Duskmon, really gone?" Grumblemon said in disbelief, "But where be remains?".
"Haven't you been paying attention?" Ranamon said, a little annoyed, "Though you do have a point, should he have become an egg like we did?".
Koji breathed heavily as he tried to stand.
"You okay?" Takuya asked.
But Koji then noticed the boy that was once Duskmon fell into the crater where the dark fusion once stood.
Koji then walked up to the crater, with the others slowly following. He then gazed at the boy who lay unconscious.
He resembled Koji, but with shorter hair, he wore a red shirt with a green jacket and pale long pants. The others then looked upon this and gasped.
Koji approached the boy, with hesitance.
"He's the one," Takuya slowly said, as he thought back to the day he came to the digital world, "How did this happen?".
"He looks like you," Tommy said, feeling surprised.
"Well they are brothers?" JP pointed out, though he sounded unsure.
"Poor guy," Zoe moaned.
Koji then slowly approached the boy and held him in his arms.
"It's finally over, you're free now brother," he said with joyful relief.
"K-koji?" Koichi asked, as he slowly opened his eyes.
But suddenly, dark red lighting rained down around the heroes.
"Nooooooooooooooooo!" a dark gravelly voice screamed.
"What now?!" JP moaned, while feeling scared.
"What was that?" Tommy cried.
The Digimon warriors however, were shaken with fear. For they knew just who this was.
"Oh no, it's him," Ranamon whined in fear.
"What do you mean?" Zoe asked, as the land began to rumble.
"It be the him we used work for," Grumblemon explained.
"Right," Arbormon added, "And I doubts he's in a good mood after all dis, yah understand?".
"Wait, you mean?" Takuya asked, dreading the answer.
"Cherubimon," Mercurymon answers.
As he said this, the dark image of the once holy rabbit appeared over the heroes, his eyes and mouth glowing red.
"You will pay for your betrayal!" he roared, causing more lighting to rain down, "Vanish from this world!".
The land they were on then shattered, causing them to fall to void below.
"Whaaaaaahhh!" they screamed.
"Koichi, no!" Koji screamed as he held onto his brother.
"Koji!"
It looked like they were all doomed, until fractal code began to cover the steel warrior.
"Mercurymon, slide evolution!" he then became the steel beast, "Sephirothmon!".
Sephirothmon then swooped underneath the others and grabbed them into his mouth. The steel beast then floated away from the void, escaping his former master's wrath with his comrades safe inside his orbs.
But how long would they all stay safe?
"You can't run forever traitors!" Cherubimon growled, be
fore laughing evily, "Haahhahahahahaha!".
Narrator Rika: That may be true, but you can bet they'll be ready next time. After all with Duskmon gone, all thats left is Cherubimon, right? Find out next time on the next Digimon Frontier!

Scultemon: He asked, when are you going to give back the digi armor to the demiveemon?
Treblemon: Urm, well? Do they really need it right now? I think I'm putting it to much better use after all?
Scutlemon: Will talk about this later bro.
Corlamon: What about me?
Scutlemon: Oh he said, you must be the genius of the group Corlamon.
Corlamon: Ohh, I don't know about that? Blushes while hiding behind her cord hair.
Treblemon: he ask anything else?
Scutlemon: Lets see, something about human forms for-? Oh dear. Maybe don't bring that kinda thing up around Ben. He used to have a pretty big fear of things turning into humans.
Treblemon: I think it had something to do with a magic mirror and horse or something?.
Scutlemon: He also came up with some cool OC digimon forms for the redeemed warriors. They seem pretty nice, I don't think Ben will use them, but I bet they might be great inspiration for later. As he asked for which one we liked the most?
Treblemon: Well I think I like Troiamon, since he as fore legs like me.
Corlamon: I think I like DrillTyrannomon, since he's the closest thing to a dragon.
Scutlemon: As for me I think maybe Seanymphmon or maybe the drill one.
Treblemon: Anything else from him?
Scutlemon: Just more about the honeybeemon.
Treblemon: arf?! Anything else?
Corlamon: Something about Ben being captured? Don't worry I think he got away, I hope?

Treblemon: Though that Drawman98 had a great idea for a steel fusion. I think Ben was having an idea like that awhile back?
Corlamon: Oh one thing other thing DragonBlade asked about was the Fixing Yugioh Arc-V story Ben mention in his bio. Whats that about big bro?
Scutlemon: Oh yeah I think that was a really big project the boss wanted to do. I think it involved trying fix the effects a bad ending had on another would with monster card games.
Treblemon: On motorcycles?
Scutlemon: Sometimes. But from what he told me, Ben doesn't know enough about the Arc-V characters and their playstyles to write it on his own.
Corlamon: But if anyone does know a lot about those guys, then maybe they could help Ben make the story, right?
Scutlemon: That's right sis. If anyone reading is a really good writer and knows the Arc-V characters inside and out, then feel free to send Ben a message about helping him write the story.
Treblemon: I think the last thing to point out is that it was this stories 2-year aniversy recently.
