The former warrior of Darkness Koichi now freed from the curse of the corrupt spirit and reunited with his brother. However, after all he did, was it even okay that he was still alive?

This plagued the boy's mind as he lay unconscious. But then the boy began to open his eyes and found himself next to a calm serene forest with a large pound near it, alongside the other humans and warriors that remained unconscious.

"W-what happened?" Koichi asked, his voice worried and gentle.

"Tis nothing to fear, for they arth safe, for now," A familiar voice said.

Koichi then turned to see the warrior of steel Mercurymon standing before him.

Later,

Before long, the others began to awaken, soon finding themselves in a peaceful land.

"Ugh, what happened?" Takuya asked as he awoke.

"W-where are we?" JP asked.

"Hang on, I know this place," Zoe said, "It's the water sphere, where I defeated Ranamon,".

"Don't have to remind me sugar," Ranamon groaned, "But wait, does that mean we're in-?".

"Precisely, M'lady," Mercurymon spoke, before appearing, "We arth currently residing within Sephirothmon's water sphere,".

"Wait, what happened? Tommy asked.

"I believes dat there Sephirothmon went and caught us before we's could fall into the abyss, right," Arbormon explained, "Which was good considering you know who wasn't to's pleased with us, yah understand?".

"Thou arth correct Arbormon," Mercurymon said, "For now, we shall be safe from the dark lord Cherubimon,"

"So what now, are we just going to hide?" Takuya asked, a little annoyed.

"Nay, at least not for long," Mercurymon replied, rather annoyed at the boy's inpatients, "Just long enough for us to lick thy wounds, before we prepare for the danger that awaits us,".

"Wait a minute, where's Koichi!?" Koji said, starting to freak out, "What did you do with him?!".

"Calm yourself, thy brother is safe," Mercurymon explained, "Thy former warrior of darkness wished for some solitude, so he currently resides in the light sphere," Mercurymon then made an eyeball portal appear, "This shall take thy to him, I presume thou has much to discuss with?".

Koji calmed down, before nodding and entering the portal.

"So, what now?" Zoe asked.

"For now, tis best we rest," Mecurymon explained, "Thou arth free to use the realms of my beast spirit to recover as thy pleases,"

"Hey Mercurymon, Grumblemon like use earth sphere?" the gnome asked, to which the steel warrior nodded and summoned a portal. Grumblemon nodded with a smile before jumping in.

"Yo hold dat for me, right," Arbormon asked as he raised his hand.

"Why are you going Arbormon?" Tommy asked.

"Eh, I's just wants to keeps on eye on Grumblemon, yah understand?" he replied, to which Tommy nodded with a smile, "See's yous in a bit, right," he waved as he entered the portal, before it closed.

Mercurymon then turned to the water warrior, "Ranamon?".

"Huh, you mean little ol'e me sugar?" she asked as she pointed to herself, a little confused.

"Might I request a world with thy, alone?" the mirror politely asked.

"Oh, well, sure sugar?" she replied, still a little nervous as she approached.

The steel warrior bowed in gratitude before proceeding elsewhere in the water sphere with Ranamon.

"So what are we supposed to do now?" Zoe asked.

"I don't know about you," Takuya said, before sitting down next to a tree, "But I'm all too fine with a break,".

"I here yah," JP added, before relaxing, "It's about time we get a rest after all the Digimon we've fought lately,".

"Aw huh," Tommy agreed.

Zoe blinked for a moment, "I guess your right," She smiled, before sitting next too Takuya.

In the light sphere,

Koji had just entered the church like area. He looked around, observing the holes in the ceiling that let the light in, then as he gazed towards the lard organ structure, he saw a boy with black hair sitting in one of the rows.

"Koichi," he muttered, before walking forward.

"What have I done," Koichi moaned, filled with guilt from his time as Duskmon, "How could I have let this happen?".

Koji wasn't sure what to say, after he had never had a brother, so he didn't know what to say. However, there was still the matter of his mother, so he had to get answers.

"All right, spill it, is it true?" Koji said, catching his brother's attention, "I have to know, and I have to hear it from you, are you my brother and if you are, is our mother still alive?".

Koichi was anxious from his brother's tone, it took him a bit to answer. Eventually he stood up and faced Koji "It's, all true," he sadly answered.

He then explained everything, how his Grandmother's last words were that he had a brother, how Koichi had been watching Koji from afar, and how much their mother had been working, to the point where Koichi had to help bandage her up, to heal her from all the stress.

"Poor mom," Koji said, saddened by the idea of her suffering.

"She never complains," Koichi continued, "Anyway, it was later that same day that I saw you on the train,"

"So is that how you came to the digital world?" Koji asked.

"Actually, I can't remember," he replied, before explaining how after he missed getting on the train Koji was on, he ended up tripping on the stairs and falling to the ground, "It's all like a giant blur after that,".

He then talked about what happened to him next, how he found himself in the digital, thinking it was the after life, before eventually encountering Cherubimon in the void and how he was eventually taken over by the darkness and became Duskmon.

Meanwhile in the earth sphere,

The warrior of earth punching the rocks, shattering them on impact. Grumblemon had an intense look on his face, stoically slamming through rubble.

Arbormon watched from nearby, unflinching as the pebbles flew past his wooden armor.

"Need get stronger, stronger, stronger!" Grumblemon grunted, before pulling out his hammer, "Rarrr, Seismic Sledge!" he then slammed his hammer into the ground. He then started breathing heavily.

"Look, I know's yous like to get stronger, but whats dis really about buddy?" Arbormon asked.

"Need get stronger, before too late," Grumblemon replied, "Need get fusion like humans!".

"Right, I gets it now," Arbormon said.

Grumblemon then punched the ground in frustration, "It no fair, if they get fusion why not Grumblemon!"

"Hey I feel yah Grumblemon, I wouldn't mind getting a fusion form too's, right," Arbormon replied, "But you thinks we can even get's them?" he then looked at his wooden hand, "After all's, you know what's was supposed to happen to us, right?".

Grumblemon sighed, "Yeah, me know, but we already go over that," he said, before looking at the wood warrior, "But me still want fusion, so me going keep training!".

"Yeah's I's gets you," Arbormon said, before jumping over to the troll, "After all before you can improve others, you must improve yourself, right?" he said while holding up a finger, "Now lets do's this,"

Grumblemon smiled at this, before letting out a determined chuckle.

Meanwhile,

The warriors of steel and water were walking through the forest to the right. Ranamon felt rather strange to be back in the place she met her final defeat. Honestly, she felt nervous and a bit embarrassed about how she acted back then. Not to mention things were still a little shaky between her and the steel warrior.

"I wonder what Mercurymon wants?" Ranamon thought, "I know we sorta made up before, but still, are things really like before?".

The steel warrior then stopped walking, which alerted Ranamon since she almost bumped into him.

"Huh, oh?" she then stopped.

Mercurymon then turned towards the water girl Digimon, "Ranamon," he said with hesitance.

"Yeah?" she replied, "What is it you wanted to say sugar?".

The mirror then looked down, "After what has transpired between us," he explained, seeming to struggle to get the words out, "I feel tis necessary that I give thy a proper apology,".

"Beg you pardon sugar?" Ranamon asked, before the steel warrior then dropped to his knees and bowed before the water warrior, "Oh my?".

"Dear Ranamon, I beg thy for thy forgiveness, for I was a fool, nay worse than a fool, for ever choosing my own ridiculous ambitions over thy!" he groveled dramatically, "Thy arth more precious than the sea itself, thou arth more important than any fractal code, I shouldn't have ever used thy in such a lonesome way m'lady!".

"Mecurymon," Ranamon said, feeling emotional.

"Tis far beneath thy for me to ask, please forgive me, I beggeth thy oh sweet princess of water!" Mercurymon begged, before looking up at the girl digimon, "Ranamon?"

The water warrior was tearing up while having the biggest grin on her sweet face, "Oh Mercurymon, come here you big shiny sweetie!" she shouted as she tackled the steel warrior with a hug, before showing how much she cared.

Later with the others,

Eventually Grumblemon and Arbormon had returned to the water sphere, as well as the two brothers. However, Koichi kept his distance from the others and had gone elsewhere in the sphere, still filled with guilt for all he had done to them.

Soon the warriors of water and steel returned to the group.

"So did you work everything out?" Zoe asked her Digimon friend.

"You could say that, teehee," Ranamon replied, letting out a small giggle as the steel warrior approached.

"Why does Mercurymon have four lips now?" Neamon asked, referring to the many lipstick marks on his mirror face.

"Ehhpmh," the steel warrior cleared his throat, a bit embarrassed as he tried to wipe his face clean, "Tis none of thy concern," he said, though he did get some smug looks from the others,

"I don't get it Papamon, what's going on?" Patamon asked, innocently confused.

"Urm, you'll understand when you're older," Bokomon sheepishly replied.

"Anycase, I propose we discern what is to be done with thy former warrior of darkness," Mercurymon suggested,

"So him actually human whole time?" Grumblemon said, "But him not seem like Duskmon after purified?".

"Really makes you think, after we treated him like an outcast back then," Ranamon explained, feeling a little guilty, "Never really thought he was actually one of you kiddies,".

Arbormon stayed silent, though you could tell he was thinking about something.

"The resemblance between them is kind of creepy, huh?" JP pointed out, refering to how Koichi resembled Koji.

"And they look the same," Tommy added.

"It's still hard to believe that Duskmon turned out to be Koji's brother," Zoe said, sitting next to Takuya, "He looked so sad, maybe we should say something?" she said as she tugged on Takuya's sleeve.

"Yeah, but what do I say?" Takuya asked.

"Tis a difficult question to answer," Mercurymon said, "For tis likely Koichi feel'ith a large amount of guilt for his actions as Duskmon, something we Digimon can relate to," The steel warrior then bowed to the humans, "With that said, I do humbly ask thou's forgiveness forth my actions before my purification,".

"Hey it's all good flecty," Takuya said kindly, "Right guys?".

The others nodded.

"Sure," Tommy said.

"Yeah, we've gotten used to it by now," JP added.

This made the steel warrior smile with relief, though he still hated that nick name.

"We forgive you Mercurymon, you did help us get our fusion forms, so it kinda worked out" Zoe said, before thinking of something "Wait, you think Koichi might not think will forgive him?".

Arbormon looked over at this in reaction.

"You have a good point Zo," Ranamon replied, "I know I was worried sick if y'all were ever going to forgive little ol' me,".

"Grumblemon?" JP asked as he looked over the earth warrior, who was lounging by a tree.

"Yeah?" he asked, slightly annoyed.

"I know what happened before to Arbormon," JP said, "But you can't stay mad at him,".

Grumblemon groaned as he closed his eyes, "Grumblemon mad at Duskmon, Grumblemon not mad at Koichi," he explained begrudgingly, not noticing that Arbormon had gotten up and walked off somewhere.

"Well, that's close enough," JP replied.

"I wonder how Koji feels about all this?" Bokomon wondered.

"I wonder where Koji went?" Neemon stupidly added.

"Huh, where is Koji?" Takuya asked, sounding a little concerned.

"Hmm, I can confirm he still lurks within my releme," Mercurymon explained, as he looked into his mirror shield.

"Well we better go find him," Takuya said, before he started running, "Come on,".

The others then followed, except for Mercurymon whose arm was grabbed by the water warrior.

"Tis something still troubling you m'lady?" he asked.

"Well, yes," Ranamon said, "It's about my beast spirit.

Speaking of which,

Koji sat alone by a tree, feeling unsure about how to talk with his brother. After all, how does one deal with suddenly having a brother after being alone for so long. Considering how much of a lone wolf Koji tended to be, he didn't have any idea on what to do.

Eventually, Takuya came to where Koji was.

"Hey," Takuay greeted

"Huh?" Koji said, a little surprised.

"I hope I'm not being too nosy but I just wanted you to know that I'm here if you want to talk," Takuya said, though he was struggling a bit, "And there's one more thing, uh, I'm sorry,".

"What are brothers supposed to do?" Koji asked.

"Huh?" Takuya said, surprised by the question.

"I mean, I really don't know?" Koji explained, "I was raised alone,"

"Well, you just do what comes naturally, I guess?" Takuya replied, scratching the back of his head, "I have a little brother and most of the time we can't stand each other?" he then tired to think of something that could help, "In my case, my brother always wants to hang around with me and my friends, but I don't let him because he's just a bratty little pest and when I do play with him, I usually end up making him cry and I can't really help it the twerp just bugs me, I suppose I really should work on tha?" However, Takuya soon noticed his rambling really wasn't making Koji feel any better, "Oh, but he still likes me, does that help?".

"I guess?" Koji said, still rather depressed.

"Guys, I have a brother too," Tommy spoke, having just arrived with JP and Zoe, as well as Grumblemon "He's in college so we don't see each other much and sometimes he's kind of mean," he explained, "But I guess he's just that way for my own good, not that it feels good, but you know what I mean?".

"Hey, at least you guys have siblings," JP said, "I wish I did,".

"I don't know that I'd want the responsibility of having a little brother or sister to take care of, unless they turned out just like me, of course," Zoe said, before thinking of a certain Digimon, "Then again, Ranamon feels a bit like a sister to me sometimes, so I guess it's not all that bad,".

"Arbormon always feel like brother too Grumblemon, so do Ranamon and Mercurymon, and brothers look out for eachother," The earth warrior explained, "Even if brother once Duskmon, still should protect and care for,".

These nice words actually helped Koji feel a bit better, "Hey, thanks a lot you guys ," he said, smiling a bit.

"No problem," Takuya replied with a kind voice, "Look there's no right way to be a brother, you have to do it and eventually you'll find out what works, you know?" he explained, before lifting his hand up, "What do you call it when you try a bunch of different things?

"Oh, are you talking about trial and error?" JP asked.

"That's it, trial and error, right?" Takuya said with open arms.

"Hmm, right," Koji mumbled, before looking towards where his brother went.

"Don't worry, it just takes time," Takuya assured, "Just like with the evil warriors, it took a bit of time to understand them, but now their some of our closest friends," Takuya then chuckled a bit, "Even if Mercurymon is still a bit of a pain," After he said this, an apple feel out of the try and bonked him, "Ow, hey?!"

"I heard'ith that, thy flaming fool!" Mercurymon's disembodied voice snapped.

"Yeesh, I was only joking?" Takuya moaned, which made the others laugh.

Meanwhile with Koichi,

The boy sat alone, still riddled with guilt.

But then he noticed the small Digimon Patamon flying in front of him.

"Did you know that light and dark are brothers?" the young Digimon said, much to the boy's astonishment, "It's true Koichi, one can't even live without the other one, darkness isn't a bad thing unless you choose to make it that way,".

"You're right," he gently said, having been eased by the rookie's words, "And I guess you would know, having been a great celestial Digimon," Koichi then looked down, "Unless you're just trying to make me feel better, did you really mean it?"

"Really silly," Patamon said.

"Thanks, Patamon,".

"Y'know he's probably got a point, right," A Brooklyn accent spoke.

Koichi then looked to see the warrior of wood Arbormon. The robot then sat down and stared at the boy.

Koichi didn't know what to say. Out of all the legendary warrior's he had tormented when he was Duskmon, Arbormon was the one he hurt the most. After he had lost his beast spirit, Duskmon struck him down in cold blood. This was before Koichi had begun to regain consciousness but that still did not change the fact that he killed Arbormon.

Now the wooden robot was here before him, blankly staring at the boy. Koichi couldn't tell what the wood warrior was thinking, was he upset, sad, it was all a mystery to him.

"Arbormon," Koichi sighed, failing to get any more words out, "I know you must hate me, I honestly don't blame you,"

"Looks, about what happened between us and Duskmon," the robot finally spoke, "Let's just Forgetaboutit, right,".

"W-what?" Koichi said in disbelief, "How can you say that, I, I,".

"I knows, you destroyed me, I's was there, yah don't need to remind me's" Arbormon replied, attempting to lighten the mood.

"But, how can you forgive me so easily?"

Arbormon then looked away, "I's been thinking a lot about that, for dah longest time I's been terrified of what you once were, dat being Duskmon right" he said, thinking back to before "But y'know, back then I's wasn't all to pleasant myself, honestly if isn't wasn't for dem kids, I probably would have done dah same thing you's did, yah understand,".

Koichi remanded silent.

"Dat being said, you shouldn't be's so hard on yourself Koichi," Arbormon explained, "You's ain't dah only who's done some nasty things, right,".

"Arbormon," Koichi said, feeling moved by the robot's words.

"Looks, if yah worried about dah others hating on yous, forgetaboutit," Arbormon said, before getting up, "It's like I always says, dah past is yesterday and tomorrow's dah future and today's a present or something, yah understand?".

"I, guess so?" Koichi smiled, before noticing Arbormon was beginning to leave, "Wait, Arbormon,".

The robot then looked back.

"I'm sorry, and, thank you," Koichi said, seeming less depressed.

"Hmph, hey it's like I always say, forgive and forget, right," Arbormon replied, while holding up his finger.

Meanwhile,

The warriors of water and steel were sitting down leaning against trees, having just finished discussing the beast spirit of water.

"And that's what happened sugar," Ranamon said, "After I became Calmaramon, the next thing I know I ended up chucking that Plesiomon to who knows where and nearly did the same to my friends,".

"Hmm, tis a harrowing tale indeed," Mercurymon replied, "Thou do wonder why this Plesiomon was after thy warriors?".

"Yeah, I wonder if he's still around after what happened?" Ranamon thought out loud with her hand on her chin.

Speaking of which, very far away,

Back at the beaches were the beast spirits of water and wind once were hidden.

"YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Plesiomon screamed, before crashing it the water, sending some Gomamon flying. He then emerged and shook his head, "I've been falling, for way more than 30 minutes!" he yelled in frustration.

"Excuse me?" A gentle voice that sounded like two asked.

"Huh,wha?" the dinosaur Digimon said, as he looked to see another Digimon that resembled a knight, "Oh, well what do you want?".

"We're, looking for someone," the knight said, "Someone, very important to us,"

Plesiomon looked confused at the Digimon's strange way of talking, but simply brushed it off before trying too help.

Back at the water sphere,

"So you got anything to fix my beast spirit sweetie?" Ranamon asked.

"Hmm, tis most perplexing," Mercurymon said as he scratched his chin, "Tell me, is thou unsatisfied with thy beast spirit?"

"What do you mean sugar?" Ranamon asked.

"Tis only a theory, but perhaps your fear to become Calmaramon may have-,"

But suddenly the world began to shake.

"Ahh, what was that!?" Ranamon asked.

"Something is assaulting Sephirothmon from outside!" Mercurymon explained, with worry.

Outside of the steel beast,

Sephirothmon was being pelted by dark red lighting, making it hard for him to maintain his form. He then ending up spitting out the heroes, before turning back to Mercurymon.

"What happened?" Takuya asked.

"Something was attacking Sephirothmon outside," Ranamon explained, "At Least that's Mercurymon was saying?".

"Koichi!" Koji shouted, anxiously searching for his brother, who he soon found and tried to help up, "Koichi?".

"I'm fine," Koichi replied, as his brother helped him up.

"What could have done this?" Tommy asked.

"I'm pretty sure Sephirothmon wasn't that weak, so whatever attacked must be strong?" JP added, much to the ire of the steel warrior.

"Excuse thou, I'll have thy know that my beast spirit-" Mercurymon protested, before sensing something that made him shiver "I feel'ith a presence, powerful yet familiar?".

The former evil warriors then flinched, their data chilling at the presence.

"N-no, can't be?" Grumblemon trembled.

"I's knows this, ah no," Arbormon added.

"What are you guys talking about?" JP asked.

"No, oh no, it's him!" Ranamon said, her voice trembling with fear.

"What do you mean?" Zoe asked with concern, "Who's him?".

The water warrior nervously pointed forward. The kids then looked and felt a dread in their heart and a chill in their spines. The Digimon looked even more horrified at what stood before them.

Towering over them was a Digimon that resembled a large dark purple rabbit with a green belly, his arms were long as were his ears that ended jagged, around his neck was a pointy crest like a demonic jester, and on his round face was to glowing yellow evil eyes above a evil grin with a few sharp teeth. Darkness and evil emanated from this creature, for it was in fact the one the digi-destined had been destined to stop. For it was the fallen celestial Digimon himself,

"Cherubimon!" Koji said.

The dark rabbit slowly growled at them.

"He looks mad," Takuya said, feeling rather intimidated.

"Hey, what do you say we kick it for a while and talk this through, huh?" JP tried to reason with the rabbit.

The dark Digimon then smiled, "With pleasure!" he shouted as he kicked a large nearby rock the size of a small mountain into the sky.

"Maybe not try reason with dark lord JP," Grumblemon said, still rather intimidated.

"Herahahah," the large rabbit laughed, "How nice to see you again children,".

This made the Digimon very worried.

"It's payback time!" Takuya said as he held his D-tector, to which the other humans, besides Koichi, did the same.

"Execute, beast spirit evolution!" Takuya then transformed into his beast form. The dragon beast spirit roared, as the boy was covered in flames as the mighty dragon Digimon formed, "BurningGreymon!".

"Execute, beast spirit evolution!" Zoe shouted. Feathers then surrounded Zoe and the armor began to form. The evolution then was finished, and the winged beast flew down revealing itself as, "Zephyrmon!"

"Execute!" Tommy shouted as he slid the fractal code on his hand across the D-tector, "Beast spirit evolution!". The spirit then roared as the spear locks flowed in the wind as the armor of the ice beast appeared around the boy. The transformation was complete, then the yeti like creature landed alongside his twin axes, he then picked them up and swung them around, "Blizzardmon!".

The spirit of thunder glowed green, "Execute!" JP then swiped the fractal code on his hand across the D-tector, "Spirit Evolution!". The bug armor appeared and in a matter of moments he was,"Beetlemon!"

The spirit of light then glowed, "Execute!" Koji said as he slid the fractal code across the D-tector, "Spirit evolution!". The light armor then formed around the boy, transforming him into, "Lobomon!".

"Huh, why didn't do their fusions?" Neemon asked.

"Haven't you been paying attention, the used most of that energy against that vile DarkestDestroyamon," Bokomon explained, before noticing Koichi, "Um, no offence,".

"Avalanche Axes!" Blizzardmon then tossed his axes.

But Cherubimon just flicked them aside.

"Lighting Blitz!" Beetlemon shouted as he charged up electricity and punched it at the enemy.

"Hurricane Gale!" Zephrmon then blew her gust attack.

But Cherubimon easily blocked both attacks with just one of his giant hands.

"Howling Laser!" Lobomon then blasted a laser.

"Pyro Barrage!" BurningGreymon then let loose his flames at the rabbit.

The attacks pelted the dark lord, but Cherubimon remained unaffected.

"This isn't working!" Lobomon shouted.

"Well, he is the big boss," Beetlemon pointed out, "We got tag team him, hey Grumblemon!"

But when the beetle turned the Digimon warriors, he found they were paralyzed with fear as they stared at their former master.

"Grumblemon?" Beetlemon asked, a bit concerned.

"Hmm, I see you haven't forgotten me," Cherubimon grinned, "My traitorous warriors,"

"Cherubimon," they said in fear.

"Leave em alone!" BurningGreymon demanded.

The human warriors then unleashed all their attack on the once divine Digimon. They all impacted upon him, covering the rabbit in smoke.

"That got em!" The fire beast proclaimed.

However, as the smoke cleared, it showed that their great foe was still standing, "Indeed, it showed just how pathetic you are,".

"What's with this guy?" Logomon asked, dumbfounded by the villain's endurance.

"Shall I destroy you now or do you want to play some more?" Cherubimon taunted.

"We'd better think of something quick or he's going to squash us like a bunch of little beetles,". Zephyrmon said, while floating next to the lighting warrior.

"Ugh, thanks a lot for that visual Z," Beetlemon groaned.

"It's no use, Cherubimon is one of the most powerful Digimon ever," Ranamon moaned, before stepping closer to Mercurymon.

"You are right to fear me Ranamon, as are you brothers," Cherubimon taunted, "Now, my turn," he then raised his hands in the air and conjured a storm of darkness that covered the skies.

"What is he doing?" Koichi asked in fear.

Mercurymon and Arbormon immediately knew what was about to happen. The steel warrior quickly got in front of Ranamon, while the wood warrior grabbed his pal Grumblemon before getting behind Mercurymon.

"Storm of Judgment!" Cherubimon shouted causing dark lightning to rain down on all the legendary warriors.

It zapped Beetlemon and Zephyrmon out of the sky, before frying Blizzardmon. Lobomon then noticed it was about to hit his brother.

"Koichi!" he yelled, before grabbing the boy to shield from the lighting.

BurningGreymon struggled against the attack but was eventually brought down by the attack, as did the other warriors.

Eventually the storm stopped, leaving all the warriors that were struck turned back to their human forms.

"Is it over?" Ranamon nervously asked, as she and the other two peeked out from behind the mirror Digimon.

"Oh naw, dat ain't good, right," Arbormon said.

"Friends!" Grumblemon cried, before he and the others ran to help up their human friends.

When Koichi opened his eyes, he saw that Koji was beaten on the ground.

"Is he alive?" Bokomon asked, while hiding behind a rock with Neemon and Patamon.

"Koji?" Koichi asked, worried for his brother.

"Never felt better," Koji groaned in pain.

Grumblemon meanwhile was trying to help JP up, "Hang in, friend,".

Arbormon had picked up Tommy, "Please be okay little buddy, it's too early to go nighty night, right?".

Ranamon tried to help Zoe up, "Oh Zoe, I'm so sorry," she cried.

Mercurymon then tried to comfort Takuya, "Forgive are hesitance, for it has cost thy greatly,".

"Naw, it's all good," Takuya replied, trying to be positive, but very much failing.

Koichi was horrified, seeing the heroes beaten so easily.

"Do you suppose he'd want a rematch?" Neemon stupidly asked.

"Well, I'm disappointed," Cherubimon said with a displeasement, "I expected at least a shred of challenge today," he then looked at Koichi and his former warriors, "And you, how pathetic losing to them,".

The former evil warriors were not too happy about this, feeling both angry at the Cherubimon for insulting them, but also hurt by being put down by their former boss.

"I'm glad," Koichi said with a scowl, before running up to the evil Digimon, "I lost when I listened to you, you made me fight my own brother!"

"It was your choice," Cherubimon blankly pointed out, "Isn't that what you wanted?".

"No!" Koichi shouted, "You lied to me, you used me!".

"You're wrong," Cherubimon said.

"What?"

"I merely set the stage," Cherubimon explained, "The spirit of darkness chooses its owner, to be selected, one must possess a very dark heart, otherwise, the spirit's powers are useless, I offered it to many before you, but the spirit rejected them one after another," the monster then grinned, "The power of darkness is your destiny Koichi, it's where you belong, accept it and be my servant once more,".

Koichi remained silent.

"You've only tasted a fraction of the great power of darkness," Cherubimon tempted, "I'll teach you everything,".

The boy then looked down, guilt still dwelling in his heart.

However, this had all so gotten the attention of a certain Digimon.

"Hey why you give him offer?!" Grumblemon shouted.

"Hmm?" Cherubimon then glanced over to the others, "This does not concern you, traitor,".

"Actually, I think it does, right," Arbormon added as he walked up, "Because I's don't recall yous trying dis when we's went good, yah understand?".

This made dark Digimon growl.

"Yeah, why have you been playing favorites with him?!" Ranamon asked with annoyance, "I mean Duskmon wasn't even a full Digimon like us!" she then looked to Koichi, "Um, not that there's anything wrong with that sugar,".

"Still the point stands, thou has shown favoritism towards Duskmon," Mercurymon pointed out, "Well the warrior of darkness may have been powerful, tis not excuse thou's neglect for us!".

"Silence!" Cherubimon roared, intimidating his former warriors "You dare talk back to me, your very creator!".

This made the humans gasp.

"Their, creator?" Zoe gasped in shock.

"You mean, Cherubimon's their dad?" Tommy asked.

"I guess so?" JP replied, rather confused.

Grumblemon scolded the rabbit, "You creator, then why Cherubimon not care about us?"

Cherubimon growled, unable to answer.

"Don't you still care about us sugar?" Ranamon asked, "We are still your creations after all?".

"She's got a point there, right?" Abormon added.

"Enough, I'll deal with you later!" Cherubimon growled, before looking away.

"No, deal now!" Grumblemon shouted, before jumping at the rabbit with his hammer, "Seismic Sledge!" he then smacked his hammer on Cherubimon's arm.

"Ow!" Cherubimon groaned, "Why you little!".

"Dark Vapor!" Ranamon shouted, before shooting the mist attack at Cherubimon's face, allowing Grumblemon to get away.

"Aurgh, cease this at once!" Cherubimon roared, "You dare to attack me!".

"Well you struck our friends so it's only fair, right?" Arbormon said, before fractal code covered him, "Slide Evolution!" he then became Petaldramon, "It's like I always say, what goes around comes around, yah understand," he then swung side to side, "Leaf Cyclone!" he then blew his attack at the dark rabbit.

"Enough!" Cherubimon roared, before forcing back the attack, "Lighting Spear!" a bolt of red lighting then shot into his hand. The villain then tossed it and the leaf lizard, knocking him down.

"Ow!" Petaldramon cried, as he fell back, "Oh dats smart, right?".

However, unknownst to the dark rabbit, Grumblemon had dug into the ground and soon popped up behind Cherubimon.

"Slide Evolution!" he then became the earth giant, "Gigasmon!" he then started rotating around, "Quagmire Twister!" he then threw a mud tornado at him.

"I've had it with you!" Cherubimon then raised his hands, "Storm of Judgment!"

Red thunder then rained down from the sky, striking down the warriors of earth wood and water, reverting the beasts to their humanoid forms. However, Mercurymon was able to block the attack with his shield.

"Dark Reflection!" he then shot the attack at Cherubimon.

But the dark lord just moved aside, dodging the attack. Mercurymon however, was exhausted by the attack, falling to his knees and unable to handle another attack.

"Hmph, you are foolish to stand against me," he growled, "Why do you choose to protect these worthless humans and stand against me,".

"Because they friends!" Grumblemon shouted as he jumped at the rabbit, preparing to strike him with his hammer "They forgive and accept us, while you give up!"

"Silence!" Cherubimon shouted as he swatted them aside.

"Aaaaggghhh!" Grumblemon screamed, before crashing next to his friends.

"Perhaps if you had not dared to strike me, I may have offered you a chance like Koichi," Cherubimon said, before trying to calm down as he looked to Koichi, "Time to choose, what's it going to be Koichi?".

"Don't listen to him, he's lying!" Koji pleaded.

"No, it's true," Koichi said, "My heart was filled with anger and jealousy and darkness became the only comfort from my pain,".

Cherubimon raised his arms and chuckled, believing he had persuaded the boy back to his side.

"But that's in the past," Koichi said, much to the rabbit's confusion, "I don't want revenge anymore, I'm done hiding in the dark!" he then looked back to his brother for a bit, before staring back at the villain, "I'd rather die than betray my brother!".

"Hm, so be it!" Cherubimon scowled, before preparing to crush the boy with his giant arms.

"Koichi!" Koji cried, fearing the worst.

But then, his D-tector began to glow and shined a light on Koichi. Then in front of the once corrupted human appeared a black D-tector and out of Koji's D-tector came the spirits of darkness.

Yeah, you knew this was coming. Now you're probably expecting to change something right? Well, not this time. I got to save my energy for the final phase and having Duskmon back could be troublesome for certain Digimon.

But don't worry, I've got something planned that I'm sure will 'grow' on you hehehe.

Then for a brief moment the dimensions flicked and warped. What happened was too brief to be seen by the humans and Digimon, but for a split second a serpent-like shadow appeared and uploaded dark particles into the new D-tector, before quickly vanishing before he could be seen.

After the dimensions returned to normal, the spirits of Darkness that once gave the powers of Duskmon and Velgemon began to morph into two new spirits that resembled black and gold metal lions, one on all fours and the other standing up.

"The spirits of darkness are changing?" Takuya pointed out.

The new spirits then entered the black D-tector, before letting out a flash that astonished Koichi. The Device then floated over to the boy, who grabbed and looked at it.

"A D-tector?" Koichi said, a little surprised.

"Koichi!" Koji said.

"I can feel it, the power of darkness," Koichi said as he gazed upon the new spirits, "But it's different now, it doesn't have to be evil, the pain is gone, I'm not afraid anymore,".

"He has discovered the spirit's true power," Bokomon explained, while he and the others stared feeling stunned.

"Yeah," Koichi said quietly as he looked up and the evil Digimon, before his transformation began!

The spirit of darkness glowed as the evolution began. Koichi then swiped his fractal code covered hand across the device, "Execute, spirit evolution!". The three headed lion spirit then roared, spewing out lions made of a dark mist as the dark armor slowly pressed onto the boy.

The new warrior of darkness grabbed the spear as he landed on the pedestal, then the dark mist lion then went on to his other hand and became a shield that resembled a sphinx, as he slashed his weapon while the lion head on his chest spat out a dark fireball, before proclaiming himself,

"Loweemon!".

The others were in awe at the sight of the new warrior. Despite still being the warrior of darkness this Digimon looked refined and heroic unlike Duskmon's unrefined villainy. Loweemon was similar to Lobomon, but instead of a rogue wolf, he was armored in black lion themed armor with gold highlights, with lion heads on his shoulders, nears, and a gold main around his helmet that showed human eyes.

"Huh, why him change and no be Duskmon?" Grumblemon asked.

"Tis the true form of the spirit of darkness methinks," Mercurymon answered, "Perhaps now that thy user has been redeemed, the true darkness now shines, so to speak,".

"Yeah okay, but I wonders whyes dat kinda thing didn't happen to's us, right?" Arbormon asked as he scratched his head.

"Well I'm glad it didn't, I wouldn't want to lose my beauty to look like some human in a costume," Ranamon said with crossed arms, being getting a angry look from Zoe, "Uhm, no offence to you kiddies, y'all look lovely as Digimon," she nervously said.

"Impossible, somehow you've awakened the true powers of darkness!" Cherubimon gasped.

Loweemon then crossed his arms and growled, "Shadow Meteor," he then flung his arms up before the lion head on his chest blasted a glowing dark beam out of its mouth.

The attack was actually powerful enough to force Cherubimon to step back.

"Shadow Meteor!" Loweemon did his attack once more, blasting the dark rabbit with great force.

"Auuggh!" Cherubimon roared in pain as his head was knocked back some.

"Keep it going Loweemon!" Koji cheered.

Cherubimon was now down on one of his knees after the assault, greatly weakened from the attack.

"The nightmare, the nightmare is over!" Loweemon shouted as he leaped into the air.

Cherubimon looked up at his once final warrior, "Lighting Spear!" he shouted, causing a blue lighting bolt to come from the sky into his large hand. With the bolt in one hand while they other tried to keep himself up, he then attempted to strike down Loweemon.

But the new warrior of Darkness began to glow, blinding Cherubimon as Loweemon began to change.

"Loweemon slide evolution!" he then became the new dark beast, "JagerLoweemon!".

JagerLoweemon was similar to his humanoid form but as a lion that was a much deeper black and had blasters coming out of his shoulders as well as mechanism on his back to activate them and his body was complete covered in slightly redish black golden armor with many red orbs on them.

The new beast of darkness then grabbed the lighting bolt in his jaw and stopped it in place, before jumping upon it and running down the bolt.

"Augh?!" Cherubimon groaned in disbelief.

"Prepare to be illuminated!" JagerLoweemon growled as he leaped at the rabbit, the mechanism on his back loading like a gun, "Ebony Blast!" the lion then roared as darkness fired from his mouth rapidly, pelting Cherubimon .

"AAAAAhhhhh!" the villain screamed.

"How does the darkness taste now!?" The dark beast taunted, before landing on the ground. The red orbs on the lion began to glow, before JagerLoweemon leaped into the air and activated his final attack, "Dark Master!".

The dark beast was then surrounded by the image of a dark purple lion as he charged into Cherubimon like a meteor. JagerLoweemon blasted right through him, leaving a hole in the dark rabbit's center. The dark beast then landed, epically sliding across the ground a bit.

"Yaaaaaaaagghhhh!" Cherubimon screamed as his body glitched and disintegrated.

"He did it!" Koji" cheered.

"Sure did?" Takuya said in disbelief.

However, there was something that did happen when the dark Digimon was defeated.

"Hey something's, not right?" JP pointed out, "He's dissolving but I don't see a fractal code?"

JP was correct, for soon the entire body disintegrating into particles, but neither egg nor code was left.

"That wasn't the real Cherubimon we were fighting," Koichi said, having turned back to his human form, "It was like some kind of projection,"

"Hm, I should haf known, twas merely an illusion of the dark lord," Mercurymon explained.

"Unfortunately that means he's still very much alive," Koichi guessed, "I can feel him,".

"Me too sugar," Ranamon said, as she held her hand where her heart would be.

"Yeah us too, right," Arbormon added, "Our former boss ain't going to go down dat easy, yah understand,".

Everyone then walked up to Koichi

"If that was just a projection, I don't think I want to meet the real one," Koji said.

"Believe Grumblemon, Cherubimon someone you no want to meet," the earth warrior added.

"You have impressed me Koichi," Cherubimon's voice spoke, though he was not there, "Awakening the true spirit of darkness is no small feat, but make no mistake, you'll never be a match for me, I look forward to meeting you in person at the rose morning star,".

However, the former evil warriors then felt a chill, as if the voice was focusing on them.

"As for you my traitorous children," the voice said, "I warned you of what treachery would bring and you will feel my wrath if you dare to show her faces in my domain again!"

The Digimon shivered a bit but tried their best to remain brave.

Koichi then began to walk forward.

"Wait!" Koji said, grabbing his brother's shoulder, "What are you doing?".

"I have to face him alone," Koichi replied, "You guys should just leave,"

"Sorry bro, I can't let you do that," Koji said.

"The only thing that defeat him the true power of darkness," Koichi said sternly, "You'll only get in the way,"

"I have to help," Koji insisted, "True darkness must depend on the light,",

"Sorry but I'm going too," Takuya said, "Somebody has to get in there and save Ophanimon,".

"I want to go too," Tommy added, "I mean after all we've been through we should help fight the bully that caused all of this right?".

"Kid's got a point," JP pointed out, "And of course if he goes I have to come along too because I'm the oldest, besides I've got to make sure he stays out of trouble,".

"And I have no intention of going home now," Zoe stated, "Can't let you boys have all the fun can I?".

Koji then looked back at his friends.

"We're coming and that's final," Takuya proclaimed, before they all cheered, "Yeah!".

Koichi was very surprised by their determination. He then looked towards the Digimon, "What about you guys?".

"While a great danger awaits us with Cherubimon, I believe we haf a debt to the world to pay," Mercurymon explained, "For though aren't the only one who's past is one of misdeeds,".

"But, are you sure, especially after what I've done to you, I don't want you to suffer anymore," Koichi asked, a bit of guilt lingering.

"Eh I's tolds yous we goods, right," Arbormon said, before raising his hand, "After all dah past is dah past and today's dah future, yah understand?".

"Besides it's not like we listened to you when you were Duskmon sugar," Ranamon said cheerfully, "So why start now and abandon are friends?".

"You no Duskmon no more, you Loweemon now," Grumblemon said, a slight bit of bitterness in his voice, "Besides, Grumblemon got bigger Digimon to be mad at,".

Assured by the words of his comrades, Koichi smiled with relief as he joined them walking forward to the Rose Morning Star, where the greatest battle yet awaits.

Narrator Rika: All for one and one for, wait, are they out of their minds? Let's see if they survive this one on the next Digimon Frontier!

Purification Redemption!

Finally done! Oh my goodness I am so sorry for taking so long!

I know you guys have been waiting awhile for new chapters and I'm really sorry. Truth is I've kind of been suffering from a bit of burn out when it comes to writing. Lately I've been trying to get my life together and with all that keeps happing in the world it gets hard to stay creative.

But I really want to get back to writing and I've been getting better at working it into my schedule so I will hopefully get some more out eventually. In the mean time thank you so much for all your nice reviews and patients.

Speaking of which, big thanks to pokemonking0924, Drawman98, D. , Lei LeiDigital cyber sleuth, Charmander17, Jake H Voronkov, crisx284, DragonBladeB5, some guests, and a special Guest called RaiRai who left an extra amazing review, for all the reviews you people leave thanks a ton. Their what give me the energy to write and keep working on the story

However, I need to bring up something regarding one of the reviewers. DragonBladeB5 listen, appreciate you taking the time to leave reviews, but you have been making them way too long to the point where it makes it hard for me to see other reviews. Also they don't always talk about the story and you tend to repet stuff you already said in other reviews. I'm not trying to be rude, but please tone it down a little.

Also if you tell/ask me something in a review, please don't keep bringing it up again and again. I read all the reviews I get so you don't have to keep asking me to hurry up.

I know I should upload more often, but I got a lot going on in my life. Plus good writing takes time and effort and I want to make sure I can create the best quality stories, because you wonderful readers deserve great works.

With that out of the way, lets get to some questions.

First Drawman98, thanks for the idea for fusions. I apricate the Kamen Rider ideas, specially that last one since it reminds of one of my other stories where I redeemed a certain someone who looks like that description.

Also my OC Digimon do have a fusion form, I just haven't come up with a name yet... I will say it may bare a resemblance to the final form of the true king of the digital world (Not the tree).

As for people wondering about those dark particles. Heheh, you'll see, just give it time to 'incubate', hehehe.

Oh and DragonBladeB5 I don't think bunny boy will be putting up any wanted posters. The heroes are pretty close to his lair so I doubt he's have time.

Also I need to give special attention to a guest who said their name was RaiRai. Your review was amazing! It's the kind of thing writers like me dream of so thank you so much for it and for loving my story.

Now, regarding fusion forms which gets asked a lot. Please be patient and trust me, I have plans in the future so hang in there.

Sadly the next few chapters won't have too many changes, since I've got to save my energy to fix 'that moment'. Those who watched Frontier know what I'm talking about, the moment the ruined the series and made the remaining episodes a total slog. But don't worry, I won't let that foolish error mess this story up! Hopefully I'll have enough energy to fix it.

Also if need a good digimon story to read while I work on new chapters, I recommend you check out Digimon Data Adventure Squad by Electrosium05. I helped inspire him to make that story and it's really awesome. It's a great story, especially if love the Keramon line of digimon.

Speaking of stories, I believe my Digimon may have mentioned my that me friend Star was working on a something for me. By that they mean I have a Megaman ZX advent story in the works about redeeming the bosses from that game. As for who Star is, lets just say he's someone from a different Megaman world than ZX.

Also I now have a deviant art account by the name of Bluesharky38 where I post art and do commissions. Feel free to check it out, I hope to post some art of my OC Digimon soon.

Goodness this took long. Another reason too not take forever for stories I guess?

Anycase as per usual, remember reviews lead to sooner chapters and better quality stories.

Once again thank you so much for all the support and I hope you all will stick around for the future, after all we got a final battle coming up!

Until next time, Chao!
