No Such Luck…or Destiny's Deceit?
Ch 11: Unraveling Lies
It was the day after Lincoln got into that fight with Chandler, and he just got dental surgery yesterday. He had to take strong analgesics like ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hours, as prescribed by the doctor. In addition to that, fake teeth were implanted in place of his natural teeth. He had his mouth swollen shut, and he may have some problems eating on the other hand.
The other side knew he deserved it well for being such a 'good' person, while the other half didn't take his 'reward' too well and longed for a desire for revenge. As people say, 'revenge is not good'. Well, on the other hand, they ignore the saying and go on to give the others what they 'wanted'.
"Damn bro…" Vanessa said as she spoke to Michael. "Did Lincoln really go against a group of five kids?"
"Yeah…" Michael said.
Lincoln passed by, and some kids praised him for his job with Chandler the previous day.
"Good job, Big L!" Jonas raised a thumb.
"Big L…?" Lincoln asked himself.
"It's the cool kid!"
"Hey!" Lincoln raised his hand to greet the kid. "Wish we could hang, but I gotta go to class."
With Henry and Lynn Sr…
"Did Lincoln really go against not one, not two, but five kids…?" Lynn Sr. asked.
"If I could answer your question, yes…he did whip the asses of a group of five kids, by himself…" Henry answered.
"H-How?" Asked Lynn.
"Well…at the very least, I think he used a branch or something. He even nailed Chandler multiple times to the point where he had to get a surgery for his mouth…he had to take ibuprofen every 6 - 8 hours…"
"I never thought Lincoln could inflict a lot of damage especially when he's very mad…"
In Lincoln's classroom…
A barrage of questions from his classmates attacked him once he got inside. Lincoln answered Ronalda's question but he was asked by Fritz and the others, getting irritated, his face turned beet red and his tuft of hair popped with steam coming out.
"GUYS!" Lincoln yelled, making them quiet down at the very least. "I know you have a lot of questions, but will you leave me alone for a bit? It's giving me a headache…" He sat down near Ronalda.
"But…" Simon was interrupted.
"He's right…" Fritz said. "We should leave him be for now…"
"¿Está bien?" The Hispanic girl asked him.
"Estoy bien…" Lincoln spoke in Spanish.
Mr. Hillard entered the classroom for the first class of the day, he greeted the kids. "Good morning, kids."
"Good morning, Mr. Hillard!" They greeted their new teacher.
"Hello kids…" He went to get some chalk, and wrote his full name on the board. "My name is Reagan F. Hillard, and I will be your new teacher for today. Mrs. Johnson resigned from her position last time, and I hope that I can give you some quality education." He clasped his hands near his lower abdomen.
"Yes, Mr. Hillard." The kids answered.
"Good." The teacher said, as he grabbed his Math book. "Our topic for today is…" He grabbed a piece of chalk and wrote something on the board. Some kids were talking behind his back, as he turned and said. "Hey, it is time for class, not talking." He finished writing on the board. "Our topic for today is, operations involving fractions."
The students sat up straight and listened to their new teacher.
"For instance, we have…" He wrote ⅔ minus ½ on the board. "Two-thirds decreased by one half. Who will answer?"
Lincoln raised his hand.
"Yes?"
"The answer is…" He solved the problem mentally. "One sixth, sir."
"Good. You may sit down…um…what's your name?" Mr. Hillard asked.
"Lincoln, Lincoln Albert Loud." Lincoln introduced himself.
"Loud?" The teacher asked. "Where did you get that surname from?"
"My father, but we ain't called Loud for no reason." He shrugged. "Bizarre, right?"
"How many are you in your family?"
"Thirteen, including my parents."
"THIRTEEN?" Fritz asked. "WHAT THE HECK?! THIRTEEN PEOPLE? IN A SMALL HOUSE?!"
"Fritz, silence!" Mr. Hillard ordered. "You may sit down." He ordered Lincoln.
Later, in the hallway…
"You're still hung up about that incident?" Asked Jamie.
"I have forgiven Lola and my parents, but not the rest of my sisters including Lynn." Lincoln said. "I went against Chandler and beat him up yesterday, if you want me to report to the principal, go ahead. Who fucking cares? It's not my business anyway..."
"You turned Tomato Kid into a punching bag?" Noah asked. "Nice, give him what he deserves. He's a brat anyways."
"Noah?" Lincoln asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Nothing." The redhead responded. "Just someone to talk to. The name's Noah Johnson by the way."
"NOAH!" Jennifer said as she caught up to him. "Why didn't you wait for me again?"
"This girl is sassy…" Noah pointed his thumb at Jennifer.
"What did you say?" She asked, angrily.
Later, at his (well, technically) home…
Lincoln was reading his favorite novel, about the life of a family who lives in Chicago, Illinois. He was reading it for 10 peaceful minutes, when Valerie decided to chime in.
"Lincoln?" Valerie called out.
"Yes, Mrs. Emily?" Lincoln responded, closing his novel.
"Dad said you got into a fight with Chandler the previous day, is that true?" Charlotte asked.
"Well, yes." The 11-year-old Loud said. "He was an asshole anyway, the thing is, he decided to target someone in my family.
Sammy, frowned at the mention of Lincoln's family. "Them again?"
"Samuel." Henry lectured his son.
"For once, I would like to point a gun at his head and shoot him dead…" Lincoln said as he clasped his hands in front of his face. "But I wouldn't dare hold a gun in my hand, knowing that I'll be dealt with a great amount of time in prison…"
To be continued in Ch 12…
A/N: Sorry that this chapter was rushed, I was lazy and had to do all of my other stories.
