Chapter 57

It was about ten minutes after Dearka and Miriallia's somewhat light-hearted discussion.

Which meant that as of right now, the young couple was currently making their way through the white space ship's long halls, heading directly towards the one place on the entire Archangel, where they could get some food.

"I know that we all had quite a rough day yesterday. But it's actually kinda weird how empty the Archangel feels right now. It's almost like there isn't anybody else on board, other then the two of us" the former Buster pilot said a bit louder then he had originally intended.

For some reason Dearka just couldn't help. But find the Archangel's mostly quiet halls somewhat spooky. Yet after everything had happened in the German capital yesterday, he wasn't really overly surprised to discover that the rest of the crew was exhausted, and needed to sleep in for a change.

Which was honestly something Dearka felt like they all deserved. In all of his time with the Archangel, the battle they had been in yesterday, truly had been one of the most awful once ever. Just the mere through of how many innocent people that had lost their lives to the Destroy gundam was more then enough to send an almost freezing cold shiver down his spine.

"Damn it! This whole war is just SOOO mess up. I'm definitely not the Chairman or Zaft's biggest fan. But the Earth Forces is even more crazy now then they were in the last war. First they used nuclear missiles only a few days into the war and now this. I'm really starting to doubt, there is anybody left between those nut cases that has something, that could even be considered as a conscience" Dearka mumbled sadly.

Then slowly moved his gaze away from the floor and took a glance over at his girlfriend, that was walking beside him holding his hand.

"Maybe the few good people the Earth Forces had left, ran off after the battle at Alaska" the former Buster pilot said, while thinking back to that battle, and how he had joined up with the Archangel back then, and also about how a big part of the Archangel's crew was kinda like the family he had never had.

Noticing the slightly sad look in his eyes. Miriallia knew that the whole thing with Berlin the Destroy gundam, was bothering him a great deal more then he let on. And knowing that, the brunette slowly moved over and wrapped both of her arms around the one she loved, hugging him gently.

"I know what happened in Berlin yesterday was difficult for both you and Kira. But I for one is really relieved that we got there in time, and was able to stop that ugly monster before it could get any further. I honestly don't even want to think about, how many more people would have been kill had that monstrosity actually gotten through the city" the girl said. Then remained quiet the next couple of second enjoying the feeling of Dearka's hands softly rubbing her back.

But finally the young woman took a small breath. And once more began talking to him in a low tone that only he could heard. "And that's why I think that both of you did an amazing job back there. It truly is the reason why I'm so proud to call Kira my friend, and you my boyfriend" she whispered into his ear. Before giving his right cheek a light peck, then slowly snuggled a bit closer into the tight embrace they where sharing right now.

Thinking briefly about what she had just said. Dearka took in a deep breath, enjoying the scent of her hair. "Why is it that you always knows just the right thing to say to cheer me up?"

Smiling slightly at that question, Miriallia pulled a little away from him and looked directly in to his eyes. "I'm you girlfriend Dearka, and it's simply a girlfriend's job to know such things" the young woman explained. Just as she once more lean in, and rest her head against muscular chest.

Hearing her say those sweet words to him. Dearka just couldn't keep a small grin from appearing on his face. "It definitely can't be denied how fortunate I am, to have a girlfriend as wonderful as you. I love you Miriallia Haw, but you already know that right?"

Chuckling happily, Miriallia reluctantly stop rubbing her face against his chest, and pulled back just enough so she could once again looked into his handsome purple eyes. "Yeah I know, I love you too Dearka Elsman" she whispered back softly.

And with that said the two of them slowly moved in towards one another, and was just about to press their lips together. Yet before they could actually do that, a loud voice ruined the romantic atmosphere between them.

"If the two of you absolutely have to make-out, then go do it back in your room. It's just so yukky and gross to look at!" Mayu Ramius said in a loud tone, that could easily be heard far and wide.

And even though both Miriallia and Dearka cared and loved the little brown haired girl, like a younger sister. Both of them could not help but feel slightly disappointed, and a tiny bit cranky over the girl's loud interruption. Which was enough to make them both turn and glare somewhat unhappily at her.

"Well good morning to you too, little miss spoilsport. Did you have a good night's sleep?" Dearka asked somewhat kindly. Doing his best not to show the eleven-year old girl how annoying he found her right.

Not saying anything at first. The Archangel's smallest crew member narrowed both of her eyes in a thoughtful manner.

"I actually slept really great, big brother Dearka. Until my stomach started to complain about not getting any food when I went to bed. Yet after seeing you and big sis Miriallia behave all lovey-dovey, I kinda lost my appetite" Mayu loudly informed them. Acting quite a bit like just the mere sight of the two of them nearly kissing, was the most horrifying thing ever.

Remaining completely silent for the next brief moment or two. The young couple finally turned their heads and took a short glance over at each other. Where Miriallia instantly rolled her eyes at Mayu's behavior.

Then once more turned her attention back towards the small Ramius. "To be honest, Mayu, I was actually under the impression that you thought Dearka and me was a cute couple" Miriallia said, while tilting her head slightly to the side in a wondering fashion.

"Well, I honestly do think that the two of you are really great together big sis Miriallia. But that doesn't mean, that the first thing I want to see after leaving my bed, is the two of you exchanging bodily fluids!" Mayu explained loudly, while crossing both of her arms over her chest in a displeased manner.

Thinking slightly about the girl's words it did not take long before a small yet wicked smile appeared on Dearka's face. "Oh! So you don't like seeing me and Miriallia kiss, well ain't that a great thing to know" the blond man said wickedly. Just as he turned around and wrapped both of his arms around his girlfriend's slender waist and pull her into a small yet loving kiss.

And just feeling his lips against her's was more than enough to instantly make Miriallia kiss him back.

Seeing the two of them sucking each other's faces like that was all that was needed to make a somewhat disgusted look appear on Mayu's small face. "Eww! You guys are just so gross!" The eleven-year-old told them loudly, then hurried turned away to avoid looking at those two overly yukky idiots.

Yet after staring at the bright grey wall for almost a minute she slowly turned her head and took a small glance back at them. Where she saw that they were far from done trying to figure out the taste of the other's lips.

And coming to the realization that it could take awhile before those two would run out of air. The small vein on Mayu's forehead grew slightly in size. And when she heard Miriallia let out another soft moan in to Dearka's mouth their attempt to tease her simply became to much for her.

"Ahhh you guys are making me sick! SO cut it out already!" The girl practically screamed at them.

Making both of them pull apart and look down at her. "Oh, are we doing something that is bothering you, Mayu?" Miriallia asked in a teasing tone, while giving the girl a look that made it seem like she honestly didn't know what could be wrong.

That one question was enough to make Mayu glare even more angrily up at the older girl. "Of course you guys are doing something that is bothering me! And you already knows what it is! So stop pretending that you are so damn innocent. You big jerks!" She yelled as loud as humanly possible.

But even though her voice could probably be heard through half of the enormous space ship by now. It only served to make the young couple give one another a slightly evil smirk before they continued with the light torment.

"Ohh! As far as I remember we didn't really do anything that bad, far from it actually. Pretty much the only thing we did was showing each other a little affection! Just like this" Dearka said. Then turned and once more began leaning in towards Miriallia, obviously getting ready to plant yet another kiss on her soft lips.

Immediately realizing what they where about to kiss in front of her one more time. The small Ramius almost tripped over her own feet in her somewhat fanatical attempt to get further away from them. And just before she rush off full speed down the hall she yelled out one last thing to them.

"Both of you are just so stupid!" The eleven-year-old told them.

And with those words said it only took a few brief moments before the girl disappeared from their sight.

Once gone, Miriallia and Dearka rest their foreheads against one another, looking directly into each other's highly mischievous eyes.

Until the brown haired woman simply couldn't keep her laughter in any longer. "That was really hilarious. It's been a very long time now since I have last seen Mayu that angry" Miriallia said, while trying to figure out when exactly Mayu had last been that cranky.

Also grinning brightly at the minor prank they had just pulled on the Archangel's smallest crew member. The former Buster pilot tighten his grip around Miriallia and lifted her slightly up from the floor, which served to make her laught that much louder.

Yet even while he was doing that Dearka Elsman could easily tell from the expression on his girlfriend's face, that she was still wondering about the last thing she had said about Mayu being angry.

"I do believe that the last time our little prankster was this sulky was that time when Murrue wouldn't let her watch that midnight horror trilogy that ran a few months before the war started" Dearka said, as he thought about how highly displeased the brown haired child had been when her mother had denied her to see any of those movies.

Not that Dearka could blame the woman for not wanting her daughter to see those films. Even he had few nightmares about darkness and creepy monsters, after seeing just one of those extremely disturbing movies. Which was the reason why, he had decided not to see the next two.

Something he was honestly quite relieved about seeing as one of his fellow mechanics back home in Orb had once told him that the two follow-ups was even more creepy then the first one.

And in his honest opinion he really didn't think that an eleven-year-old girl should see a movie that had been so freakishly disgusting that it had been enough to freak even him out.

Yet when he had told her about how utterly spooky that one film had been, she had still firmly insisted on seeing the next two which was something her mother simply wouldn't allow. And that was definitely not something the small brown haired girl had been overly pleased about.

She had pretty much been in a rotten mood a whole week after those films had been shown.

Of course already knowing what Dearka was referring to Miriallia got a somewhat thoughtful expression on her face, as she thought back to how much more angry the small girl had been back then.

It had pretty much seemed liked she was completely determined to remain angry at both her mother and the rest of them for a very long time.

And it had only been once Lacus had made her a nice delicious chocolate cake that the girl had finally returned to her usual good mood. "Well, I do understand why she was so cranky back then. But it seems quite unlikely that it was only the sight of the two of us kissing that has made her this cranky. I'm pretty certain that there is something else bothering her right now" Miriallia said, generally worried about the little girl that had been like a sister to her for the past two years.

Thinking briefly about those words Dearka rubbed his chin in a thoughtful way. "Yeah you are probably right Mir. And if I had to guess I would say that it's the whole thing with Mu, that has gotten her this rattled-up! With everything we have told her about him for the past two years. She is bound to be a little curious about the man who saved her life at the battle at Orb" the blond teen said, then thought back to how the Hawk of Endymion had found Mayu between a large amount of tree branches, and a whole bunch of Strike Daggers.

Just the matter of leaving once mobile suit in the middle of such a violent battle was something that took a whole lot of guts. And it had most definitely earned the new pilot of the Strike gundam, a great deal of respect both from Nicol and himself.

He did however not get long to think about the past before Miriallia's voice interrupted his thoughts. "If that's the case then we should make sure to introduce the two of them, once Mu wakes up" the brunette said loudly, sincerely hoping that meeting the blond highly reckless man, would be enough to cheer Mayu up, she really didn't like it, when the eleven-year-old was walking around all depressed.

Having nothing against that idea Dearka nodded slowly in agreement. "That's a good idea. To be honest i was actually planning on heading down to the med-bay once we are done getting some breakfast" the young man said. Just as he reached out, and gentle wrapped his fingers around his girlfriend's hand. Then began leading her the rest of the way to the mess hall.

000000

Meanwhile at their destination.

Mayu Ramius stormed into the room with such haste that it was really easy for Cagalli to tell that the girl was in a real crappy mood at the moment. "Hey Mayu what crawled up you butt and died?" The blond woman asked kindly yet somewhat curious. Honestly wondering just what in the world could be bothering the Archangel's little troublemaker right now.

Looking silently at her blond sister figure Mayu narrowed her both of her eyes slightly just before she loudly growled out a couple of names. "Big sister Miriallia and big brother Dearka!" The girl said, obviously more than a little displeased with both of them.

Somewhat taken back by that response, Cagalli tilted her head slightly to the side. "Hmmm well knowing Dearka, I can understand why you are angry at him, I usually am. It saves time that way" the blond woman said. Even though she did of course realized that the former Zaft soldier had done a lot of things to help out both her and Orb, which was honestly something she was deeply grateful for.

And as she tried to figure out exactly how much assistance Dearka Elsman had given Orb, since becoming a permanent part of the Archangel's crew, she once more started talking to the eleven-year-old girl.

"But what did Miriallia and the fool do, to make you this angry at them?" The Orb leader asked, while taking a large bite of her jam covered toast. Chewing it slowly as she waited for Mayu to give her a reply.

Narrowing her eyes slightly Mayu thought back to what she had seen Dearka and Miriallia do not long ago. "They...they kissed in front of me!" The girl explained, just as she started making her way over to the tray of food the Archangel's chef put out for her.

Raising her eyebrow at that response. Cagalli hurried swallowed the rest of her toast, then gave her opinion on what Mayu had just told her. "Ohh How utterly gruesome! How terrible! How awful! I don't understand how they could do something like that!" Cagalli shouted sarcastically.

And just hearing the tone of voice she was using was of course more than enough, to make Mayu glare angrily at her. "If you have to be so damn sarcastic about it, big sis, then shut up!" Mayu said loudly, as she dropped down into one of the many empty chairs in there and started eating her food.

Not saying anything to that at first, Cagalli took one more bite of her highly yummy breakfast, then slowly stood up from her seat. And made her way over to Mayu where she instantly sat down across from her. "Ok I'm sorry for teasing you Mayu. And I'm certain that Miriallia and Dearka is too. But you are normally not the type of person that gets this rattle-up by a little teasing. So what's wrong?" The Orb leader asked concerned. Just as she slowly reached over and gave Mayu's left hand a small gentle squeeze waiting patiently for the girl to say something.

Giving her lower lip a light bite Mayu Ramius looked down at the table. Obviously thinking very hard about what to tell her big sister figure. And finally after two minutes of deep silence, the girl lifted her head and looked directly into Cagalli's eyes.

"It's just that...It's just that. I know how deeply hurt mom was, when Mu vanished two years ago. And I really don't want her to go through that again. I don't want to see her look so sad ever again. So I just can't stop being worried about her, after finding out that he is still alive" Mayu said, with a single tear running slowly down her right cheek.

Seeing that Cagalli slowly got up from her seat and make her way around the table, where she softly embraced the sad girl from behind.

"I know Mayu that all of this with Mu is quite hard to understand, even for the rest of us. But you have to remember dear, that Mu did not disappear on purpose, he was shoot down protecting you mother and the Archangel. And I know from a fact that he loves your mother with all of his being" Cagalli explained, while gently rubbing both of the girl's arms.

Feeling slightly better because of that, Mayu leaned a bit further back into the embrace. "I just...I just want mom to be happy. She really does deserve it" the eleven-year-old girl said quietly, while a few more tears left her eyes.

Still holding the bewildered child tightly. Cagalli once more began talking, in a calm reasonable tone. "I know you do Mayu and so does she. But I am absolutely sure that once Mu returns to normal, he will never leave you mother alone again" the blond woman said. Sincerely hoping that her words would help calm the small troublemaker down.

Not really sure what to say at first. Mayu turned her head slightly backwards and took a glance up at her sister figure. "Are you really sure about that, sis?" She asked in a quiet tone, which Cagalli could just barely hear.

But as hard as she was to understand right now. Cagalli could easily figure out what the small child was asking about.

Which made her nod slowly a single time. "Yes I am Mayu. Now why don't you hurry up and eat your breakfast? Then we will go down and visit the med-bay so you can finally meet the person that saved your life so long ago" Cagalli proposed kindly. Just as she released the girl and went back to her seat. Where she instantly started eating her now cold toast.

Remaining completely silent for a small moment or two. Mayu thought hard about everything Cagalli had just said to her. She did of course knew better than most people just how unbelievable much her mother had missed the blond man these past two years.

It might not happen all that frequently anymore. But when she had first started living with the caring brown haired woman who had became like a new mother to her.

She had found her crying more than a few times, while tightly holding on to the lovely ring she was usually wearing around her neck.

And even though Mayu had never told anybody about that. It pained her greatly to see her mother in such a state. Which was the reason why she was so worried about her right now.

She truly wanted to make certain that her mother would never be that sad ever again. Yet now that she was giving it some serious thought, the clever child somewhat reluctantly realized. That the only way she could ever determined if this Mu guy was really going to make her mother happy was to meet him.

And with that in mind the thoughtful girl slowly moved her hands out and grasped on to her knife and fork which she used to cut a minor piece of her fried egg.

Which she instantly brought up into her mouth and slowly chew it a few times before finally swallowing it. Deeply enjoying the taste of it as it disappeared down into her small belly. After that she hurried picked up a piece of well made bacon which went the same way as the fried egg.

She did however not remain quiet for long, before she turned her attention over on her big sister's plate where she just couldn't help but wonder why exactly she was eating toast when there was most likely still a great deal of bacon and eggs in the kitchen.

"Why ain't you getting bacon and eggs too Cagalli? It's just so much more delicious than toast" the girl said. While stuffing yet another piece of bacon, into her mouth doing nothing to hide how huge her appetite was for the highly tasty meat.

Watching Mayu chew her food for a second or two, Cagalli simply couldn't stop herself from taking a small slightly jealous glance down at the girl's meal.

"Well to be honest with you Mayu I would actually like another portion, but I have already eaten two of them. And according to the chef we are quite low on bacon at the moment. And apparently there has to be at least one portion to each of us!" The blond woman explained. Clearly highly displeased with being denied anymore of the extremely yummy food.

Hearing just how much grub, big sister Cagalli had consumed already, Mayu blinked a couple of times in disbelief while tilting her head slightly to the side.

Frankly wondering just how exactly one person, could eat such a large amount of food, and then still be hungry afterwards. 'With all those weird side effects that comes with the entire pregnancy thing. It's kinda amazing that there is still children being born into this world' Mayu thought quietly to herself. Just before she once more turned her attention back towards the meal.

Still trying to figure out where in the world her big sister was putting all of the food. If the small girl hadn't know better, she was almost tempted to believe that Cagalli was actually hiding everything underneath the table.

Yet a single glance down there was enough to shoot that theory full of holes, which meant that there was only one possibility left.

And that was that there was still room in her stomach for two whole portions of bacon and eggs and who knew how many pieces of toast. 'If I hadn't seen this myself, I would have a hard time believing, that she could actually eat so much. She has an even larger appetite now than big brother Dearka ever had' the small brown haired girl thought amazed.

Then watched as Cagalli started eating the second pieces of toast on her plate, clearly enjoying the delicious taste of the strawberry jam splattered all over the toast, a great deal.

And once she saw her big sister eagerly lick a small amount of the red colored jam away from her lips. The eleven-year-old found herself thinking, that Cagalli's highly increased appetite was somewhat disgusting. She was pretty much behaving like this was going to be the last meal, she was going to get in this lifetime.

She did however not get long to wonder about just how much more weird Cagalli was going to get before the baby was born, when Dearka and Miriallia enter the mess hall.

And seeing as she was still more than a little cranky over the whole kissing matter. She didn't even hesitate a second, about sending each of them a highly displeased glare. Which she seriously hoped would be enough to make the two of them both realize, that it was going to be a very long time before she was going to stop being mad at them.

But much to her annoyance. They each gave her a huge innocent smile which just served to piss the short tempered girl off even more. Yet before she had the chance to tell them how stupid they where one more time, they turned their attention over on Cagalli and started talking with her instead.

"So Cagalli how are you this fine morning?" Miriallia asked while sitting down beside her blond friend.

Swallowing what little food she had left in her mouth. Cagalli reached over and picked up her glass of apple juice. Which she instantly took a huge mouthful of before placing the now empty glass back down on the table. "I'm doing just fine, Miriallia. But I'm really starting to look forward to the day when this kid is born. All of these strange habits and cravings are starting to get a little on my nerves" the young leader of Orb explained.

While at the same time feeling slightly annoyed that she still had about six long months to be pregnant in. And if she had to be absolutely honest the blond woman had already promised herself more than a thousand times, that this was the only child Athrun and her was ever going to have.

She was only in her third month, and the pregnancy was pretty much driving her insane.

Either she felt hungry almost constantly. And when she finally succeeded in satisfying her large appetite. Cagalli knew that it would not be long before she would start feeling the highly unwanted urge, to go to the nearest bathroom, and start throwing-up instead.

Which kinda made the whole process of stuffing her face with all the food available. Feel pretty much pointless and extremely frustrating.

She seriously didn't get why her body kept on craving so much food when it couldn't keep it down in the first place. And even now as she swallow the last bite of her toast, she was once more considered talking with the ship's doctor about her new eating habits.

Honestly hoping that he had some kind of helpful medicine that could at least put a small damper on her huge appetite.

Yet before she could give it all that much thought, Dearka choose that exact moment, to place a tray of bacon and eggs in front of Miriallia. Then slowly went around the table and sat down beside Mayu that was still glaring somewhat angrily at him.

Not that he paid much attention to that.

And as Cagalli watched both of them take a bite of their food she couldn't help but get a deeply displeased expression on her face. "Ah, damn it! How the heck can I still be hungry after three piece of toast, and two portions of bacon and eggs?!" The young woman growled out underneath her breath.

Then stood up from the chair and made her way over to the only way out of the mess hall. Yet once she got over there she turned and looked back at the others. "I'll be back in a little while. I just need to get some fresh air" she said loudly.

Just as she hurried left the room, before either one of them had the chance to say anything back to her.

Once gone Miriallia immediately narrowed both of her eyes in a angry fashion. "I seriously do hope that wherever Athrun is right now, that he is deeply ashamed of himself. I know that he was already with Zaft, when we found out that she was pregnant. But he really should be the first one, to help her through all of this" the girl growled unhappily.

Seriously pissed off at the blue haired man, for not being there for Cagalli when she obviously missed and needed him so badly.

In her eyes Athrun wasn't living up to the huge responsibility he had to the woman who was carrying his child.

And Miriallia had found herself more than a few times, wanting to beat the crap out of Athrun Zala. When she saw Cagalli either rushing to the bathroom to throw-up or doing something else abnormal. Like eating a whole bunch of lemon fruits.

As far as Miriallia knew, her blond friend had already devoured more of those highly gross things in the last three month, than she had done in her entire life.

Silently looking at her, Dearka could not deny that he didn't agree with her. He too had frankly through that his old buddy was a bit of a creep for getting Cagalli pregnant and not taking the responsibility.

He might not say it out loud, but he had always firmly believed that if a guy did get a girl pregnant. Either by accident or on purpose. It was definitely the guy's responsibility, to be there for the girl no matter what. And it did not take a genius to tell that Athrun wasn't really living up to his responsibility.

And if he even thought for a second that Athrun was trying to flee from the responsibility. Dearka knew that he would not hesitate one bit about giving the fool a good punch or two.

If Kira didn't beat him to it.

Yet neither Murasame pilot or the ship's CIC got a whole lot of time, to wonder about what was going on, with Athrun and Cagalli. When their thoughts was brought to a hold by the third person in there.

"I for one is really looking forward to the day when the kid is born. I just can't wait to see what it's going to be. But I really do hope that it is a girl!" Mayu said with a large anxious smile on her face. Just before she began loudly telling Miriallia and Dearka the long list of girl's names, she had been working on ever since she had first heard Cagalli was pregnant.

Yet once she told them the tenth or eleventh name Dearka hurried interrupted her before she could continue. "I'm really sorry to burst your bubble Mayu. But you do realize that there is the teeny-weeny possibility that it might be a boy instead" the blond man said kindly.

Hearing that unwanted comment. The small brown haired child immediately turned her now highly displeased gaze away from her meal and over at Dearka.

"Yeah I know that big bro! But I really...really want a little sister!" Mayu said in a extremely stubborn tone. Like she firmly believed that her persistent arguing with her blond brother figure, was all that was needed to determined the sex of the baby.

Smiling slightly at her Dearka slowly reached over and took a hold on her hand. "It's not like I'm saying that it isn't going to be a girl Mayu. It's just that we don't have any kind of equipment on the Archangel that can actually tell us if it is a boy or a girl. So until we get back home to Orb I really don't think you should get your hopes up. So why don't you try coming up with a few boy's names too. For would it really be that bad, if you got a little brother instead?" He asked with a gentle look in his eyes.

Not saying anything to that at first Mayu thought extremely hard about everything Dearka had just said to her. And finally after a few short minutes a small smile appeared on her face. "No I guess that it wouldn't be that bad. I will love the kid no matter what!" She said determinedly.

Just as she hurried leaped up from her chair and made her way over to the vending machine to get a bottle of milk.

And after watching her mess around with the machine, for a brief moment or two, Miriallia slowly leaned over towards her boyfriend. And whispered a few words to him.

"That was really sweet of you. You big softy" she said, while placing a light kiss on his cheek.

Then hurried sat back down again. Before Mayu actually had the chance to notice, the small sign of affection. Miriallia simply did not feel like getting into yet another unfriendly debate with the eleven-year-old girl right now about the whole kissing thing.

And knowing what the pretty girl across from him was thinking about. Dearka could only agree with her. He too wasn't really in the mood, to argue anymore with the smaller Ramius today.

And with that in mind the blond man gave his lovely girlfriend a light smile. Before he turned his attention back towards his meal and continued eating his breakfast.

Honestly glad to know that Mir didn't think he had done something totally stupid, by telling Mayu that there was the possible that the gender of Athrun's and Cagalli's child might just be the opposite of what she was expecting.

He just didn't want to see the girl totally disappointed, when the kid was born. And it just happened to be a boy instead of a girl. The young man really did believe that it was for the best, if Mayu was at least somewhat prepare for such an outcome.

Yet while he was still thinking about that. He didn't notice when the girl dropped down beside him again. Where she immediately asked Miriallia the one question that she really wanted answers to.

"Do you guys want to come too when big sis Cagalli and me go visit that Mu character?" Mayu asked hopefully. As she made sure to give the other brunette the best puppy dog look she could muster, while stuffing her face with the extremely delicious bacon and eggs.

Seeing the smaller Ramius eat with such a healthy appetite.

Miriallia simply could not keep a small smile, from appearing on her face. "Well, to tell you the truth, Mayu, we where actually planing on heading down there anyway once we where done with our breakfast" she explained to the girl.

Then reached out and picked up her glass of water and took a small sip of it before she once more place it back down on the table.

Sincerely happy to hear that, Mayu smiled brightly at her big sister figure, then picked up her last piece of bacon and took a huge bite of it. Chewing it slowly a few times before finally swallowing it.

"I'm relieved to know that, big sis. To tell you the truth, I'm a bit nervous about meeting that man" she explained, while thinking back to some of the many stories she had heard about Mu La Flaga these last two years.

Hearing that Dearka instantly snapped back out of his thoughts, and looked over at the girl. "I'm sure you have nothing to worry about Mayu. Mu might just have lost his memories. But I highly doubt, that even he is reckless enough to try something, on a ship full of so many people ready to restrain him" Dearka said seriously.

Deeply hoping that it would not under any circumstances become necessary for them, to lock the blond man up, down in the Archangel's prison.

Looking a bit at him. Mayu gave her lower lips a light bite. "That's not really the reason why I'm so nervous. It's more the whole thing, with not knowing how to react when I actually meet him, big bro. But anyway, thank you very much for trying to calm me down" the girl said somewhat grateful.

Just as Miriallia cut into the conversation. "I'm pretty sure, that you'll do just fine dear. Mu does act like a bit of a scatterbrain at times. But he truly is a generally nice person" the older brunette said in a kind tone.

"I know that, big sis. That's one thing all of you have made completely clear, whenever you talked about him these past two years" Mayu said. While using her fork to play around with what was left of her fried egg.

Yet as she was so occupied with that, she did not notice Cagalli entering the room again before Miriallia asked her one simple question.

"Are you feeling a little better now?" The brown haired woman asked, while looking worryingly at her blond friend.

"I guess that I am all right. But I'm seriously starting to get tired, of feeling either hungry or nauseous! It's just so damn confusing" she explained unhappily. Just as she unintentional took a long yearning glance at what was left of Miriallia's breakfast.

Yet once her exhausted mind realized what she was doing. Cagalli hurried shook her head a couple of times, then turned her back towards the three of them.

Seriously not interested in watching those three eat right now. Especially since, it would most likely resulted in that she wanted some more too. And now that she had just spend the last ten minutes outside in the cold, to try and forget about her constant hunger. She definitely didn't feel like watching Dearka practically drool over his meal, and Mayu play around with her's.

Instantly realizing what the problem was. Miriallia hurried swallowed what little was left of her breakfast. Then stood up, and slowly brought the now empty tray over to the counter, where Dearka had gotten it from in the first place.

Unfortunately it was a bit of a wasted effort, seeing as neither Dearka or Mayu had yet to figure out what was bothering the blond woman.

Mayu was still totally caught up in trying to make a smiling face with the yolk. And one look at her boyfriend's face made it absolutely obvious, that he was expecting a second portion once he was done with the first one.

And knowing that.

Miriallia got a deeply determined look in both of her blue eyes. As she came to the conclusion. That it was up to her, to help out her blond friend right now. And with that decision made, she began talking in a loud tone, which she knew from experience that neither Dearka or Mayu could ignore.

"Why don't the two of you hurry up and finish? Then we'll go down to the med-bay and pay Mu a visit" the brown haired woman said in a slightly bossy tone.

Yet hearing her words, was all that was needed to get Mayu to stop messing around with her food. And look up at Miriallia. "I'm already done so we can leave once big brother Dearka is done filling the bottomless pit he calls a stomach" the smallest of the girls said. Before getting up on to her feet, where she immediately picked up her tray and silverware then carefully brought it over to the counter.

But even though it took least than two minutes before Mayu was ready to get out of there. Dearka was far from finished with his first portion.

And knowing that he had to rush through it, was not really something that made the former Buster pilot jump with joy.

If there ever came a day where he had to pick his favorite meal of the day. Then he could without any hesitation say that he liked breakfast the most. And he frankly disliked the idea of cutting it short like this.

Yet as tempted as he was to start complaining about it. He really didn't feel like having his beautiful girlfriend mad at him right now.

If there was anyway to avoid it, he would definitely prefer to sleep in their bed, with her resting peacefully in his arms. Instead of down on the Archangel's highly cold metal floor.

And with that in mind. He smile slightly up at Miriallia. "Just give me a minute then I should be done" the hungry blond man said loudly, while cutting a huge piece of the fried egg.

Which he immediately stuffed into his mouth, with such an eager. That it was pretty obvious to all three women, that he was completely and utterly determined not to leave the tray of food undone.

And just the sight of him eating in such a fashion did not just make Cagalli feel a little nauseous. And once Miriallia saw her highly idiotic boyfriend take an even larger bite of the food than the last one, she hurried took a single step towards him where she instantly gave him a small slap at the back of his head.

"Would you at least try and eat your food like a normal person. Instead one of one who hasn't got anything to eat for the last two or three weeks" Miriallia shouted loudly at him.

The young woman had long since realized, that she truly did love Dearka Elsman with all of her being. But his eating habits was most definitely something which could be improved quite a bit.

If she ever had to describe the way he was eating, with just one single word. Then she would most likely pick 'gross'. Especially when he was in such a big hurry to fill up his stomach, with whatever food was in front of him.

Yet from Dearka's point of view, he just found the whole thing with her complaining about his eating habits somewhat amusing.

So while still thoroughly chewing his food.

The blond Coordinator just lifted his gaze away from the plate and took a brief glance up at her, where he could easily from her expression that he was annoying her quite a bit right now. And knowing that, he just gave her the best innocent smile he could muster with his mouth full of food.

And once he at last finally swallowed what was left of the enormous bite. He took a quick mouthful of water, before he gave her the best excuse he could come up with under the circumstances.

"It's not my fault, that the food on this ship is so damn delicious, that I don't want it to go to waste. So if you really do think that my eating habits are so utterly terrible Miriallia Haw. Wouldn't it be more logical that you blamed the person who made the food? Which made me eat in such an awful way" Dearka asked.

Sounding quite a bit like a small naughty child that was trying to shift the blame for something he had done, over on somebody else. In this case the Archangel's chef.

Hearing that overly far out excuse for his bad manners at a table.

Miriallia just could not help but roll her eyes a single time as she reached up and rubbed her forehead in a slightly frustrated fashion. "Is that really the best excuse you could come up with?" She asked him, while giving him a highly skeptical look.

Still trying to look somewhat innocent, the blond man tilted his head a bit to the side while smiling slightly at her. "Yeah pretty much. I can't really think properly when I'm hungry" the pilot of the blue Murasame explained in a tone which frankly did make it sound quite a bit like, he was actually expecting her to believe that extremely crappy excuse.

Rolling her eyes one more time at his childish behaviour. Miriallia was just about to say something else to him.

When Cagalli suddenly cut into the conversation. "Wow! That definitely does explain a lot, that means that you haven't been full once in your entire life" the blond girl said, with a hint of a wicked smirk on her face.

But even though that comment was without any doubt meant to be insulting. Dearka didn't really do anything that show, that he was offended by her words, he just gave her a small smirk back.

"Yeah pretty much" he loudly informed the three women, which all rolled their eyes at his carefree attitude.

And once they saw him turn his attention back towards his breakfast.

They each realized that it was pointless to continue this debate about his bad habits. And knowing that the three girls went over to the next table where they sat down to wait for him, to finish devouring what was left on his plate.

Meanwhile up on Aprilius.

Gilbert Durandal was in his office studying the video footages from the battle at Berlin. And even though that fight had not really ended the way he had originally wanted with Shinn and the Impulse taking out the Destroy.

The black haired leader of Zaft knew, that he could still very easily use the near destruction of the German capital to his advantage. And while watching Kira Yamato give the Destroy gundam the finishing blow.

One single thought ran through his mind. 'Soon this entire world will bent to my will!' He thought wickedly, then reached out and turned off the computer.

To be continued.
