Hey guys, I know that it has been a very long time since I last update this story, that's mostly thanks to writer's block, I can not even remember how many times I sat down to write, but just end up starting at the screen for who know how many hours, I knew in my head what I want to write, but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get it down on paper.
Now I want to thank you all for answering my last question about Mayu's reaction to being told that Shinn is her brother. I will of course put a lot of consideration into what's going to happen between the two of them next.
Chapter 84
After the battle at Heaven's Base, it had taken the Minerva a few days to get back to Gibraltar. Presently a large part of the ship's crew, was gather in the base's main building celebrating their victory. Lunamaria and Nicol was out on the floor, where the redhead was trying with all her might to teach the green haired man to dance, Shinn was sitting at a small table talking happily with Abbey, and Rey was no where to be seen.
Yet while just about everybody in the large room was relaxing, and having a great time, there was one single person in there who was far from in a good mood. The Minerva's Captain, was standing by herself near the door, glaring angrily at her lover, who was presently enjoying a glass of white win, while speaking with Arthur who was in a good mood like usual, but while Arthur was talking up a storm, Gilbert clearly wasn't paying all that much attention to him.
And once Talia got eye contact with a long time lover, she saw him sending her a flirtatious wink, which just served to piss the brunette off even more than she was already. And with a quick roll of her eyes, Talia turned, opened the door, and hastily left the room.
Of course easily able to tell that Talia was angry at him for some reason, tet having no idea why, the ZAFT leader quickly excused himself, then made his way across the room and left through same door his lover had disappeared through only a few minutes ago.
Gilbert did not have to search for her long, before he spotted her standing by a window looking out at the night sky. "So what did I do now?" He asked as he stepped over beside her.
Glaring over at him. "It's Shinn" Talia answered barely loud enough for him to hear it.
Tilting his head slightly to the left. "Ok what did Shinn do now?".
Reaching up Talia rubbed both of her eyes in a frustrated manner. "He hasn't done anything Gilbert, it's you!...You making him a member of FAITH is just so unbelievably frustrating! I am already having a difficult enough time getting him to follow orders, so how do you think he is going to behave now that he can pretty much do whatever he likes?!" The woman asked.
"I do understand your concern, Talia. But please believe me when I say, that making Shinn a member of FAITH, is not a decision I made in the spur of the moment, it is truthfully something I have been considering ever since he took out the Freedom. And I am certain, that having that boy as a member of FAITH is something that is going to benefit us greatly" Gilbert said, then narrowed his brown eyes slightly, it had only been a few hours since he had finished reading the report concerning the Tsuwabuki team's attack on the Eternal. When he had personally given Akuto Tsuwabuki the orders to find out where the Eternal was hiding and then destroy it, he had fully expect the large man to be able to carry out that mission with five Nazca-class, and a newly assembled Chaos gundam at his disposal.
So finding out that Akuto had gotten himself killed at some point during the engagement, and that they had lost four out of the five Nazca-class', two of them ending up in enemy hands, was far from an impressive outcome, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Yet what really caught Gilbert's attention as he read through the long report, was the one thing about how a new version of the Freedom had entered fray, and had almost immediately turned the tide of the battle, and reading about how this new Freedom gundam had fought, had made a nagging suspicion enter Gilbert's mind.
'Are you still alive Kira Yamato?...' He mentally asked. Then wondered if it was about time for the Minerva return to space, so it could hunt down the Eternal and this new Freedom. Apparently five Nazca-class' along with their large number of mass produced mobile suits, plus a single gundam, was not going to be enough to take out Lacus Yamato's ship.
But even though Gilbert was absolutely certain, that the Minerva along with the Adamant, Destiny, Legend and Impulse would be more than enough to get rid of the pink spaceship, the Gaia, and this new Freedom, there was one major problem with having the Minerva return to space, to destroy the Eternal. They had absolutely no idea about where the Eternal had disappear to after the battle with Tsuwabuki team, according to intell, it had done an excellent job of covering it's tracks, there was simply no telling how many weeks it would take for the Minerva to find the Eternal's new location. So perhaps for the time being, it would be more beneficial to have Talia and her crew remain on Earth, ready to head off to find Djibril, once they had some more information about his' whereabouts.
Gilbert did however not get very long to consider, what the Minerva's next task should be, when Talia's quiet voice interrupt his thoughts. "I guess we just have to wait and see how much Shinn can accomplish as a member of FAITH. But just so we are clear on one thing, whenever he steps out of line and disobey orders, I am going to complain to you about it".
"I can live with that Talia, it gives me an excuse to hear your lovely voice, even when it's yelling at me" Gilbert said smirking slightly at his lover.
Rolling her eyes a single time, Talia gave his arm a hard slap. "Ohh will you shut up already you big dummy, I am not in the mood for your bad attempts at flirting" she growled in a low tone, then turned and looked back out of the window.
Still smirking brightly, the black haired man reached over and took a hold on Talia's hand. "It wasn't that bad" he protested playfully.
"Ohh yes it was" Talia mumbled, just barely loud enough for Gilbert to hear it.
The two of them did however not get very long to enjoy their little moment of peace and each others company, when the base's Commander practically appeared from out of nowhere, and without paying the least bit attention to Talia he start talking loudly to Gilbert.
"There you are Sir, I have been looking all over for you, I have some news about Djibril, we know where he is now" the man said, doing a crappy job of hiding the fact that he was sucking up right now. It was no secret around the base, that the egotistic Commander's ginormous pride, had taken a pretty nasty hit, when he had found out about how a spy had been able to enter the base, and had been snooping around there for who knew how long, only to end up assisting the fleeing Athrun Zala escape from Gibraltar. Then escape himself, without anybody taking much notice of him, pretty much the only sign they had found of the spy having been there, was the burnout ZAFT jeep, that had been discovered a few miles away from the base. Ever since then the Commander had done a lot of work to show everybody, especially the Chairman that he was the right man to lead the Gibraltar base.
Yet what the stubborn Commander failed to realize, was that thanks to all of his showing off, Gilbert saw him as nothing more than a brown nosing suck up, who he quite frankly could not stand being around.
"So where is he?" Gilbert asked seriously, even though he already knew the answer, he was simply putting up an ignorant front.
"He is in Orb, Sir! We have satellite photos of Unato Ema Seiran, and his son Yuna Roma Seiran greeting Djibril upon his arrival there" the man said pridefully, sounding very much like those photos would not have been taken without his leadership.
Not paying any attention to the Commander's boasting. 'Heh, you are just so predictable, Djibril' the ZAFT leader thought, using his left hand to hide the small smile on his face.
"Hm I see, while it is certainly true that Orb are not on our side in this war. I would never have thought they would be willing to offer asylum to a man as evil and grotesque as Djibril, I guess I misjudged Orb quite a bit. Now then before the can get to comfortable there, lets get in contact with Orb, to ask them to hand Djibril over to us, if it's possible to handle this matter without violence, then that would definitely be best" Gilbert said, then after sending Talia a look that was meant to tell her that he would see her later, he swirled around on one foot then began hastily making his way to his office.
Looking after her lover until he and the Commander was out of sight, Talia let out a small sigh, as she once more turned her attention towards the view outside, wondering slightly that if Miss Cagalli hadn't been killed when they had destroyed the Archangel, and if she had somehow been able to regain control of Orb from the Seiran family, if she would have permitted Djibril to take shelter in the country, knowing how headstrong the young blond haired woman had been, Talia frankly doubt that Djibril would have been allowed anywhere near Orb.
"Whenever I think about it, I still feel like we made a mistake by destroying the Archangel...I really hope that we can solve this matter with your country Miss Cagalli without any bloodshed" Talia said, not caring if anybody heard her.

At the same time back in the ball room, Shinn had been talking with Abbey for quite some time now. But while the young pilot of the Destiny gundam could not even begin to describe how much he enjoyed spending time with the cute blond haired girl sitting across from him, Shinn wasn't really paying all that much attention to what she was saying at the moment, instead he was watching Lunamaria and Nicol move around out on the dance floor, in perfect sync, Shinn seriously wished that he was brave enough to ask Abbey to go do that with him.
Yet the boy's main problem, was that he had never had much interest in dancing, so he had never learned it. And as he watched Nicol spin Luna around, then bending her slowly backwards, looking into her shiny blue eyes for a brief moment, then pulling her back up onto her feet, Shinn doubted quite a bit that he would ever be able to dance as well as Nicol.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?!" Abbey asked loudly.
A bit surprised by the volume of her voice, Shinn immediately looked back at Abbey, sending her his most innocent smile. "Emm I am sorry no, I was watching Nicol and Lunamaria dance" he explained softly.
Rolling her green eyes a single time, Abbey looked over at their two friends moving around on the dance floor, there was simply no denying how elegant they looked out there, Abbey's mother might have insisted firmly on her learning how to dance when she was about eight, but it had not really been something that stuck with her, when she had been at that age she had simply been far more interested in messing around with computers, and watching science fiction movies. Yet seeing Luna and Nicol dance, honestly served to make Abbey regret a bit, that she had ditched the lessons, as much as she had.
Yet after watching Nicol skillfully lead Lunamaria around the dance floor a bit longer, Abbey slowly turned her green gaze back over at Shinn, who was likewise caught up in watching his two fellow pilots dance.
"Want go show them how it's done?" Abbey cheerfully asked.
Looking over at her with a nervous look on his face, Shinn slowly shook his head. "I don't know how to dance" he said in a low tone.
"Hmm then it might be kinda hard to show them up, but I still want to dance at least a little before this party ends, so enough sitting around Shinn, come with me, I'll teach you what I can!" The blond haired girl said in a slightly bossy tone, that left no room for disagreement.
Swallowing nervously. "Do I have a choice?" Shinn asked.
Standing up from her seat, Abbey took a hold on Shinn's left hand, quickly pulling him along with her out on the floor. "Nope not one! Now put your left hand on my waist, and let me hold on to the other one!" Abbey happily ordered.
Yet they had barely started moving around on the floor when Abbey let out a small yelp of pain. "Ow watch my feet, Mr Clumsy!"
"Sorry but I have never done this before, Abbe..." That was all the red eyed teenager manage to get out, before he accidently stepping on the blonde's other foot.
Cursing softly under her breath over the bit of pain that ran through her left foot, Abbey glared slightly at the pilot of the Destiny. "I guess teaching you how to dance Shinn, is going to be harder then I thought" the girl mumbled sourly, wondering if she would have any of her feets left once she was done teaching Mr Clumsy here, how to move around out on the dance floor.
Shinn was about to apologize yet again, when a couple of amused chuckles cut him off. Glaring angrily over at Lunamaria and Nicol, who was dancing right beside him and Abbey now.
"If you dumbass' have any comments, then keep them to yourselves" Shinn growled displeased, seriously hating the fact that he was so incredibly bad at this. He just couldn't figure out how he was suppose to move his feet, which he proved once more when he yet again, stepped on one of Abbey's feet.
Sending him a mischievous smile. "I want to Shinn I really do, but watching you trying to dance, is like watching a hippo trying to fly" Luna said, simply unable to understand how somebody could be that bad at dancing.
Feeling his face grow slightly red in a equal amount of embarrassment and anger at the comparison. "It's not that bad Luna!" Shinn all but yelled at the smirking redhead, just as he heard Abbey let out another small yelp of pain.
Looking back at her, Shinn saw the blonde sending him a deeply displeased glare, that made him flinch slightly. "Oh yes it is buddy, it's VERY bad! But if we take it one step at a time, I am sure that I will be able to teach you how to dance, even if I have to break both of your feet in the process. We can not have it being a total embarrassment for a pretty girl like me, to be seen with you out on the dance floor" Abbey said, managing to sound both flirtatious and somewhat wicked.
The way Abbey said those words to him, send a small shiver through Shinn's body. And as the boy blinked nervously a couple of times, he found himself considering telling the mischievous blond haired girl, that perhaps it would be best if they just sat back down. But on the other hand, he had no way of knowing if Abbey had any interest in continuing the conversation, they had going, before they had stepped out on the dance floor, and young pilot was keen on spending as much time with Abbey as possible, and if having her teach him how to dance, was a way for him to do that, Shinn could live with whatever torment the cute blonde was about to put him through.
"Bring it on Abbey Windsor" Shinn said in a low yet determined tone.
"You got it Shinn Asuka. Slowly now, one two three, one two three!" The girl softly said, as they moved with slow steps around on the dance floor.
Yet as luck would have it, they had barely started moving around, when Rey stepped into the room and hastily made his way over to them. "I apologize for interrupting when you guys are having so much fun, but we have been ordered to return to the Minerva asap" the blonde haired man said.
Letting out a long sigh of annoyance, Lunamaria glared slightly at the pilot of the Legend gundam. "Damn it, why?!" The redhead asked, simply unable to keep the bitterness out of her voice.
"Because Lunamaria we got new information about where Djibril went after the battle at Heaven's Base. So we might be departing soon" Rey explained.
"That's awesome news Rey, so where is the soon to be dead bastard hiding out!?" Shinn asked seriously, doing nothing to hide just how badly he want to crush the terrorist leader between the Destiny's hands, and free the world from him, once and for all.
Looking over at his long time friend, Rey knew that Shinn had been waiting for such a long time, for the news he was he was about to give him and their fellow crew mates. "According to this newly acquired information, Djibril is presently a guest of the Seiran family, in Orb" Rey explained, as he smiled slightly at the pilot of the Destiny gundam, knowing that this would likely lead to Shinn feel ever more loyalty towards ZAFT and Gilbert.
"ORB!? He is in ORB?!" Shinn asked loudly, almost ready to go into seed mode at the mere mentioning of that country.
Nodding affirmatively. "Yes my friend that is correct" Rey confirmed softly, having fully expected Shinn to behave like this, when he told him about where Djibril was.
'He is Orb! That means...that means that I might finally get a chance to get revenge on that country for what it took from me...Just wait a bit longer Mayu then you will finally be able to rest in peace...' the red eyed teenager thought with a far away expression on his face, as he began hastily making his way out of the room, not even realizing that he was still hold tightly on to Abbey's hand, thereby dragging her along with him. The only thing Shinn could think about right now, was Orb and how much he want to see that country burn.
Watching Shinn, Abbey and Rey disappear out of the room, Nicol let out a long depressed sigh. "I thought that it might come to this, but I had seriously hoped Djibril would have gone elsewhere" he said, just barely loud enough for Lunamaria to hear him.
Sending him a sympathize looked the redhead gave her boyfriend's hand a tight squeeze. "Perhaps we can find away to convince the Orb government to hand him over without violence" Lunamaria tried to comfort.
"Heh, I love your positive thinking Luna I really do, but Rey said that Djibril was hiding out at the Seiran family's mansion, they were the ones who got Orb involved in this war in the first place, I have my doubts that those dumb fools are going to start acting rationally now" Nicol said in a low tone. As he and Lunamaria left the large room too.

At the same time far away from Gibraltar, quite a few people was gather up on the Archangel bridge, but even so, nobody said a word. Each and every one of them, needed a little time to process everything the frowning Kazuma had just told them.
Yet finally after a few highly tense minutes, Cagalli's loud voice brought an end to the almost creepy silence. "Are you SURE that it was him?! Are you absolutely positive Kazuma, that it was really Djibril?!" The young pregnant blonde asked, looking straight at the Murasame pilot, who was standing not that far away from her.
Reaching up, Kazuma rubbed the back of his neck in a frustrated manner, as he tried his uttermost to come up with a response that wouldn't piss Cagalli off even more, than she was already, she did quite frankly seem like she was just about ready to shot the messenger, not that Kazuma blamed the girl for that, he seriously did understand why she was in such a foul mood.
"As much as I wish that I could tell you, that I was just kidding around Miss Cagalli, that it was just somebody who looked like Djibril, I seriously doubt that the Seirans would greet him in person if it was just some impostor. So I am one hundred percent certain that it was really him" Kazuma said.
"Damn it! Damn those Seirans bastards, what the hell are those two stupid fools thinking, once ZAFT finds out that Djibril is here, they will be coming here to find him!" Cagalli yelled at the top of her lungs, looking very much like she was just about ready to start crying more than ever before, it was only thanks to Athrun gently squeezing her left hand, that she did not break down completely.
"So what exactly do we do about, Djibril? Should we try and capture him or something?" Miriallia asked after a few minutes of highly tense silence.
Looking away from Cagalli and over at the brunette, Kisaka rubbed his chin in a thoughtful manner. "Hmm if only that was possible Miss Miriallia, but getting into the Seiran mansion to capture that bastard is NOT going to be easy, the mansion has a full squadron of M1 Astrays guarding it. So if we went there after Djibril, we would most likely end up having to fight to get anywhere near the son of a bitch, and now that I think about it there is also quite few civilians working at the Seiran mansion who I have suspected for awhile now were only hired to function as human shields, incase of attacks" Kisaka said with so much anger in his voice, that it made a small shiver run through the bodies of just about everybody up there.
"Damn them! Damn those stupid Seiran bastards to hell!" Cagalli growled under her breath, yet before she could really start telling everybody who was listening just how unbelievably much she despised she Unato and Yuna, for everything they had done, like getting Orb to join up with the Earth Alliance near the beginning of the war, and now this, just how much more trouble were those two dumbass' going to get Orb in before they were satisfied, Kazuma's relatively calm voice interrupt her.
"Just so you guys know, I don't mind going to the Seiran mansion with a sniper rifle to put an extra air hole in Djibril's mess up head" the Murasame pilot said in a low dark tone, that left little doubt about the seriousness of that statement.
Yet as everybody up there, looked over at him, like he had just grown a second head, Kazuma did not do anything, he just stood there waiting for somebody to give him a reply.
"As tempting as that sound, I do not think killing Djibril at this point in time is going to do much good. We all know that ZAFT will be coming here no matter what, Djibril is simply a convenient excuse for them to attack Orb, so if we did manage to get rid of him now. Durandal will most likely just come up with another excuse to attack Orb, like claiming that the Seirans is a part of Logos, that needs to be eliminate for the great good of this world" Athrun said, not once looking away from Kazuma.
"So what the HELL do we do now?!" Dearka asked loudly from where he was standing beside Miriallia.
Slowly moving his gaze away from Kazuma, Athrun looked over the former pilot of the Buster gundam, who he could easily tell was more than ready to start punching the wall next to the door in sheer frustration.
"I think the only option we have is to capturing Djibril, and extradite him to ZAFT, that should hopefully get them to back off" Athrun said.
Those words made the already deep frown on Dearka's face grow that much larger in size. "Yet with the ugly son of a bitch cooped up inside the Seiran mansion, capturing him WITHOUT ANY civilian casualties, is pretty much impossible, Athrun! So as I said before, WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO NOW?!".
What followed after that was yet another few minutes of tense silence, as each and everybody up there, tried their best to come up with a valid response to Dearka's question. Yet finally after what felt like an eternity, Kisaka cleared his throat loudly, then start talking in a relatively calm tone.
"I believe that the only option we have at the moment, is keep a close eye on things and wait for Djibril to make a move of some kind, he can not stay concealed in the Seiran mansion forever, I am sure that he knows as well as we do, that ZAFT will be coming here for him sooner or later. And once he leaves the mansion, I'll make sure that we have people ready to capture the sneaky bastard".
Glaring angrily at Kisaka at those words, Cagalli had to force herself not to start screaming at the top of her lungs over what Ledonir Kisaka had just said, the idea of sitting around doing nothing, while the leader of a terrorist organization, who pretty much the entire world was looking for, was hidden away not that far away from them, pissed the blond haired girl off more than anything else, she could not even remember the last time she had been this angry.
"I never heard anything more ridiculously, Kisaka! We are just going to sit around and wait!" The pregnant girl yelled, with a hint of tears in her eyes.
Looking straight at her, Kisaka slowly shook his head. "No Cagalli, we are going to rest up and prepare ourselves for what is about to come. None of us will be able to do anything against ZAFT, if we are completely stressed-out and exhaust trying to come up with a solution to deal with this Djibril matter now. Beside Murdoch and the other mechanics still need some time to finish up the repairs on the Archangel, I do not know about you guys, but I have a feeling that we are going to need her" Kisaka said.
Still glaring at the large man, Cagalli finally let out a long tired breath. "You know Kisaka I seriously hate it, when you make sense like that" the blonde mumbled displeased.
Reaching over Kisaka rubbed Cagalli's sort hair in a fatherly manner. "That means my work here is done, I'll head on back now to see if I can find a few of our more reliable people to keep watch on the Seiran mansion, and make sure that Djibril does not slip through our fingers" Kisaka said, as he began making his way towards the door.
Yet before he could leave a loud voice call out after him. "What about me Kisaka? Not to brag or anything, but I am quite good at sneaking into places where I am not welcome, like ZAFT's Gibraltar base" Kazuma said, with a small smirk on his face.
Turning his head, the Orb Colonel looked back at his young friend of course noticing the deeply determined look, in Kazuma's green eyes. "I think it best that you stay here for now Kazuma, I suspect that it wouldn't be long before our friends here on the Archangel is going to need as many skilled pilots as they can possibly get, besides I already had your Murasame transferred to the Archangel. I'll get the Seirans lead butler to keep an eye on what's going on in the mansion, he has helped us out quite a few times. And nobody there would suspect him of being a spy" Kisaka said in a tone that left little room for disagreement.
"When you put it that way Kisaka I guess it makes sense. And I don't really mind staying here, I could use a bit of shut eye, I haven't slept in over three days" the Murasame pilot said, ending the sentence with a drawn-out yawn that he did not even bother trying to cover up.
"That's another reason why I want you to stay put. None of us here wants you to get yourselves killed over lack of sleep, my friend" Kisaka said, then hurried left the room before Kazuma could say anything else.
Stretching his arms up over his head and letting out another deep yawn, the Murasame pilot slowly moved his tired gaze away from the door Kisaka had just disappeared through, and looked over at Cagalli.
"If it's not too much trouble could somebody please show me to an empty room, and if there is none of those left, I would prefer a female roommate, I really don't feel like sleeping in my Murasame tonight" Kazuma said, simply unable to hide just how unbelievably exhaust he truly was.
"I hate to tell you this buddy, but we got plenty of empty rooms so there will be no female roommate, now lets get out of here, I might not be as tired as Kazuma, but a good long nap sounds great right about now" Dearka said.
Letting out a loud disappointed yet still somewhat childish groan. "Ah that's not fair, I am a lonely single fellow that really wants a female roommate, so you telling me I can't have one is breaking my heart" Kazuma said, sounding very much like he was ready to start crying at any moment.
Rolling his purple eyes a single time at his friend's behavior. "I am sorry to disappoint you Kazuma, now lets get out of here" Dearka said, as he took a hold on Miriallia's hand and began leading her towards the door.
Quickly following the two of them. "Yeah you should be sorry Dearka, you better give me an extra large Christmas present to make it up to me" the smirking Murasame pilot said as he, Miriallia and Dearka disappeared out of the room.
It was not long after that, before Meyrin and the Captain was the only ones left up on the bridge. But while a part of Murrue did realize that the meeting was now over, and that there was nothing preventing her from leaving the bridge, the brunette haired woman did not move even an inch, she just sat there in her chair staring off into space, with a look in her brown eyes, that made it perfectly clear to Meyrin, that the kindhearted woman, had not heard one word of what was being said during the meeting. Not that the redhead did not understand why the Captain's was do preoccupied.
"Emm Miss Murrue can I ask you something?" The girl asked softly.
Being so far away in her own thoughts, Murrue had simply not realized that she was not alone up there. So the mere sound of Meyrin's calm voice was still enough to make a loud surprised gasp, leave the brunette's mouth, while a spooked tremor went through her body. And as she reached up and placed a hand on her rapidly beating heart, she looked over at the redhead who was presently sending her an apologetic look.
"What is it Meyrin?".
"I...I want to ask about how Mayu is feeling?" The redhead said.
That question instantly made a couple of depressed tears run down Murrue's face. That sight was all that was need to make Meyrin feel like her heart was being torn out of her chest, yet as she start feeling a large amount of regret and guilt from asking the heartbroken mother about her daughter, Murrue's low spirited voice, gave Meyrin a soft barely understandable response to her question.
"I don't know Meyrin, I really do not know. It took me over an hour to calm her down enough for her to fall asleep, and even then she kept on mumbling about how this Shinn guy was a monster, and that she did not want to lose you, Kira and Athrun" Murrue said, using her right sleeve to wipe away the many tears on her face.
"I see" Meyrin said, sincerely despising the fact that there was so little she could do or say to make Mayu and Miss Murrue feel better about all of this, lying to them, and telling them that Shinn was an ok person, was impossible for Meyrin to do right now considering everything Shinn had done since the war broke out, it was his own DAMN fault that Mayu, the person that might very well be his younger sister, was so terrified of him.
"Shinn, why the hell do you have to be such an idiot?" Meyrin asked herself in a low whisper. Seriously doubting that she would ever be able to respect Shinn again, seeing how much he was hurting Mayu and Miss Murrue. Both of them had been so kind to her, ever since she had woken up here on the Archangel, and knowing that there was somebody out there that was making the two of them sad, served to piss the redhead off quite a bit.
It was at that point a small sob from Miss Murrue, snapped Meyrin back out of her cranky thoughts about Shinn. "Miss Murrue, why don't you go spend some time with Mayu now that you have the chance, even if she is asleep, I am sure that she would like for you to be there".
Moving her sadden gaze away from the floor, Murrue looked over at the red haired girl a few short seconds, then finally nodded slowly a single time. "I think I will, I'll see you later, Meyrin".
With that said, the Archangel Captain left the bridge too.
Left by herself up there, Meyrin took a thorough look around the bridge, while it was true that the Archangel's bridge, looked quite a bit different than the Minerva's, one look was all Meyrin Hawke need to tell, that if she was asked to help out up there, she would easily be able to do so.
Pleased to know that, Meyrin slowly turned and made her way over to the door. Once out in the hall, the young redhead stopped in her tracks, having no idea what she was suppose to do with herself now, she still did not feel like being alone. But since everybody she knew here on the Archangel had decide to call it an early night, Meyrin did not want to disturb them, so she ended up just standing there, thinking about all the kind people she had met here on the Archangel, the red haired girl especially liked how much more homely this ship felt, compared to the Minerva, and how everybody on the Archangel treat each other like family.
Yet there was one certain person from the Minerva, who Meyrin missed a lot right now, she might not have told anybody about it, but Meyrin could not help but fear, that Lunamaria and her might never be able to repair their relationship after her defection, if she where to try and talk some sense into Lunamaria now, Meyrin highly doubt that her older sister would believe her words about how evil the Chairman was, she had to realize that herself.
"Luna, what are you doing right now?" The younger Hawke sister asked in a soft whisper. sincerely hoping that Lunamaria would realize the truth about Gilbert Durandal before it was too late, and so while still worrying about her older sister, Meyrin began walking with slow steps to her room.

At the same time out on the Eternal, Kira was laying naked on his and Lacus bed, with an equally naked Lacus sleeping softly on top of him. It had been a pretty exciting evening for the young married couple, especially the sight of Lacus in that purple bunny girl costume, was not one Kira was going to forget anytime soon.
Yet as Kira gently ran his fingers through his wife's long soft pink hair, he could not help but wonder when the two of them would be able to regain their peaceful life together, Kira sincerely missed being with Lacus like this without having to worry about some insane politician wanting to kill her, to cover up the fact that he had a copy of her running around, telling the world that he was a nice guy.
"Meer Campbell, I think Athrun said that was her name" Kira mumbled softly.
"Who?" Lacus' sleepy voice asked curiously.
"Your impostor" he answered.
Narrowing her eyes slightly at those words. "I see, at least we got a name for her now, I'll get DaCosta to try and see if he can dig up some more information about her tomorrow. Now you better stop thinking about other girls Kira, even the ones who looks almost exactly like me. Otherwise I am going to get mad at you" Lacus told her husband with a small playful smile on her lips.
"Ohh, we can't have that now honey" Kira said back, before pressing his lips against her's, kissing with all the love and affectionate he had for her. And as their tongues met and started playfully dancing around one another, they each knew that their night of passion was far from over.
To be continued.
