Edward "Teddy" Lupin woke with a sigh. He was visiting his Godbrother James today. It's not that he doesn't like him, he's just different. Teddy sighed again, got out of bed, and ran his hands over his scared eyes. He's the one to talk, he's different as well. He pulled out his wand and walked to the door. His wand told him where he needed to go. Teddy didn't know how his wand worked. It remembered it was linked to his brain. Since he's been blind since he was seven

"Teddy?" his father Remus Lupin called from downstairs. He's so glad he had his father's werewolf hearing, or he couldn't tell where he was.

"Yes. I'm coming down Dad!" Teddy called back as he made his way out of his room.

James Sirius Potter woke up bouncing. He was so excited to see Teddy again. "Al? Are you up?" he asked for an empty bed. "Oh right. They're eating. I'm not hungry," he said to himself before he threw off the covers and ran to his bedroom door.

Teddy smiled when he heard his father in the dining room eating. He put his wand away when he grabbed his chair and sat down. "Good morning, Ted," Teddy heard his father say.

"Good morning, Dad," Teddy said trying not to sound nervous. He heard Remus sigh. Teddy shook his head and started to eat.

"Why are you nervous? You love James," Teddy put down his fork. He felt around before he picked up his cup and took a long sip before he put it down.

"I don't know. James is well, he's different from me and I don't know how to act around him. He didn't need to see to tell that his father was looking at him.

"Think about how he sees it," Remus said. Teddy heard him stand up and sit down next to him. "What if he's nervous that you are different? Now, think about how I started school. I'm a werewolf, Ted, and I was scared."

"Yeah, but people didn't know that right away. James looks at me and is going to be scared or upset because I'm blind," the seventeen-year-old said with a sigh. Teddy felt Remus's hand on his own.

"Ted, he will not think of that. He's probably thinking of the same thing," Remus said making Teddy smile a little. However, he was still nervous.

James ran down the stairs playing with his hands. "Good morning, James," his father Harry Potter said when he walked into the living room.

"Morring dad," James said walking into the dining room.

"Are you going to join us?" Albus, his younger brother asked. James looked at Albus and sighed.

"I'm not hungry," he said walking into the drawing room.

"You need to eat, James," his mother Ginny said. James looked at her, but he didn't meet her eyes.

"I'm not hungry," he repeated sitting on the couch. He started to rock in his spot while he waited for the TV to turn on. "What's on," the eleven-year-old said to himself. It was summer now and school just ended, James could not wait to see his family and his Godbrother. James started to rock harder when he remembered that Teddy was blind. As he rocked, he didn't see his mother walk up behind him. James flinched when he felt his mother's hand on his shoulder.

"You're okay Jamie," she said. James leaned onto her shoulder. He felt his father's hand on his other shoulder. James stopped rocking and smiled.

"I'm nervous about seeing Teddy again," James said not looking at his parents who sat down beside him. He flinched again when he felt his parents' hands on his own.

"You don't need to be nervous. You love Teddy besides, I bet he's nervous as well," Harry said looking at Albus and Lily who walked over to them as well.

"Everything will be just fine," Albus said before he started to watch the TV. James laughed at his little brother and started to play with his hands again.

Teddy grew more nervous as they walked up the steps to the Burrow. Remus looked at him and sighed. "Ted, it will be okay," Remus told him as he put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Teddy nodded and smiled a little at his touch.

"Thanks, Dad," Teddy said while Remus rang the doorbell. Teddy heard James's cheer when Harry opened the door.

"Remus hey," Harry said making Teddy smile at his voice.

"Hi Uncle Harry," Teddy said waving with his free hand. His wand was in his other. Teddy heard James run up to him. He was bouncing.

"Teddy! Teddy!" he was saying. Teddy smiled and ruffled the boy's hair. The half-werewolf was glad that James didn't flinch at his touch.

"Come on In," Harry said stepping out of the way. Teddy walked in with Remus close behind him.

His father and the others were gone now, they had doctors' appointments to go to for Albus and Lilly. Not that James minded, but he was still nervous. Remus and Teddy were watching him. Teddy was showing him some spells from his wand in the backyard while Remus was reading a book on the back porch.

"My patronus is a wolf," Teddy was explaining. "Sometimes it helps me see," Teddy added sitting down on the grass. James sat beside him and started pulling the grass out of the ground.

"That's cool," James said rubbing the grass between his figures.

"What do you think yours will be?" Teddy said slowly. James looked up to the shy and thought for a moment.

"Hmm," he said and then shrugged. "I don't know," he said playing with the grass again.

"I could be a stag, like your dad," Teddy said running his hand through the grass. James laughed before he stood up and started running around the yard.

"Stag! Stag!" he cheered. Teddy laughed at him. Teddy stood up before he started running around with him. Remus watched the scene with a bright smile on his face.

Harry, Ginny, Albus, and Lily returned home to the two Godbrothers lying in the grass together. James was telling Teddy about the clouds in the sky. Teddy was laughing at how James was explaining them.
