The next morning was Sunday. Bakugo awoke to All Might in his scrawny, lanky form, opening the blinds.
"Are you dry?" He asked Todoroki first.
"Nope." Shoto sighed, getting off his mattress and kneeling on the floor to slide his box of supplies out. "I'm going to shower and get out of my overnight diaper." He said, maturely taking on his day… then there was Katsuki.
"How about you?" Toshinori asked Bakugo.
Katsuki was used to lying. "Yeah." He said, stretching. "Now draw the damn star next to my name. I'll shower after Todoroki."
That didn't mean he was good at lying.
All Might sighed and as Bakugo walked past, the teen was stopped and Toshinori, despite feeling invasive, pulled back the waistband. He could see that the diaper material had a soggy texture. He drew an "X" beside both boy's names.
Katsuki growled with annoyance and untaped the diaper and wiped up while All Might waited on the other side of the curtain. About to test his luck once more, Bakugo pulled on his gym clothes, sans diaper and tried to walk out. He received a hard swat with the clipboard and was yanked back by the collar of his shirt.
"Do you think Eraser gives me NO clue what you get up to, Young Bakugo?" Yagi sighed. "You're forcing my hand here. I was going to let you go for lying, but now you didn't put one on and I have to call Recovery Girl."
A chill went up Katsuki's spine. Yep. He was getting a diaper cover.
He didn't dare move as All Might plunked him back onto his bed and left to get Recovery Girl. Except it was the weekend she had off.
Toshinori returned with a folded set of cover pants. They were orange. Bakugo's favorite color… and least favorite punishment.
"Slip these over your diaper."
To All Might's surprise, it was fight-less that Katsuki put them on and walked over to All Might.
"Why do these even exist?" He asked, facing the fact that he was about to be locked in with a small clamp behind his hips. "I mean, I can break the lock with, like, basically no muscle."
Toshinori sighed, "Sometimes elderly people with dementia try to take off their diapers, or young kids fighting potty training, or—"
"OKAY I GET IT." Bakugo griped. He took a seat on his bed and winced. "Now everyone will figure out I'm in diapers."
Todoroki came out from the shower in just his boxers. "All Might- Aizawa mentioned that Bakugo would have therapy today, can I go to the gym for that hour?" He asked, while towel-drying his hair.
Toshinori texted Ectoplasm to come watch Shoto in the gym at noon, since Midnight would be administering counseling to Katsuki during that time.
"It's 11:30 now. Have you had breakfast yet or did you both sleep in until 11 today?" All Might asked.
"Slept in." Both boys chorused, hungry and unamused.
"Lunch will be delivered here soon." Yagi said. "Bakugo, you may put pants on now. Todoroki, you may too. Then when you are dressed, you may go to the gym."
"Lucky." Katsuki grumbled.
When lunch arrived, Bakugo ate alone, waiting for Midnight. She arrived at 11:55 and Katsuki set his food tray down. He cringed at the crinkle and got into one very still and uncomfortable position on the edge of his bed.
Midnight pulled up the desk chair and asked Katsuki how his day was so far.
"Well, I can't go to the gym and I can't leave this room, so it SUCKS!" He huffed.
"That sounds frustrating." She assured. "We can let you go to the gym, starting Friday, if you behave. That means wearing what you are SUPPOSED to, Bakugo."
"I can't take them off now, anyway." Katsuki muttered, looking away.
"Are you locked in?" Midnight asked.
Bakugo's voice rose in anxiety. "I don't like that phrase."
"What about it?" Nemuri asked.
"The L.o.V. they… restrained me. Fucked up my shoulders bad and all kinds of—" Katsuki trailed off.
When he woke up, he was laying on his bed and his diaper was heavy.
"Are you back?" Came Midnight's voice. "You dissociated."
"Yeah…" Bakugo said, quietly. He thought back to the locks and chains on him from the League and began to panic.
"Breathe. You're going to slip away again." Midnight said. "We need to change subjects."
"I want to go to the gym again." Katsuki repeated. "I want to sleep in my own dorm."
Nemuri sighed. "All in good time, Bakugo."
It was itchy now that he was wet, and he asked to be unlocked so that he could change. Midnight went to fetch the key for the small lock from Recovery Girl's top desk drawer and twisted the key in the lock.
"There you go." She said.
Aizawa came in on his day off and looked at his coworker and then Bakugo.
"He had an episode?" Shota asked Kayama.
She nodded. "Yep. Dissociated." She added, pulling the curtain closed for Katsuki to change. He pulled down the cover pants and studied the lock. Maybe a bobby pin could pick it if he became desperate…
"Do I need to attend next session to erase his quirk if it happens again?"
Midnight shook her head. "No, he didn't explode anything. He freezes, not fights in his fight-flight-freeze response."
As he listened in, Bakugo heard another voice. It was Mic's. Man. Eraserhead and Mic did NOT know how to take a break.
"knock knock." Came Yamada's voice.
"Come in and you die!" Katsuki hollered.
Mic moved past the curtain. "No Shuzenji today." He said, talking to Bakugo's back. The cheeks on his bottom had pink specks of diaper rash. "And geeze, All Might wasn't kidding, dude. You've got a rash."
"Thanks. I'll take care of it." Katsuki said with much hatred.
Hizashi kindly lowered his voice. "You have to wipe your butt too, kid. And take a minute to dry."
"Fine." Bakugo said with even more hatred. "Now can you leave? I don't understand why you're here."
"Lock." Yamada replied.
"Come back in a minute!" Katsuki yelled.
"'Zash. I need you." Aizawa said. He looked at the notes from therapy that day. "Did you know this?"
Hizashi looked above the finger on Midnight's notes.
Client Katsuki Bakugo's case today included a proper greeting.
There was minimal eye contact and mood seemed agitated…
K.B. detailed a desire to return to gym and to be with peers in the dormitories.
Trigger phrase included "locked in", as client detailed multiple traumas
being restrained by kidnappers when in recent hostage situation.
A dissociation episode occurred, in which the last phrases uttered seemed to
be unconsciously stated, including a very repeated:
"Shigaraki is coming back for me" which seems to be a delusion.
Yamada read the full note and looked worried. "Is he getting worse?" He asked in a low voice.
Midnight bit her cheek and shook her head. "Nah, it's the process of dealing with trauma. I want to bring in an expert in EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It will basically force him to relive his traumas and reprocess them away from trauma memories to just normal memories."
"Eraser? Thoughts?" Mic asked.
Aizawa sighed. "He's just a kid." He thought for a moment. "He's gonna hate us." He thought for one moment longer. "I'll call his parents. I know the school will pay so that may be a factor as to why they would want to do it NOW, but what if it's too soon."
And so Aizawa called…
