Isabel watched anxiously as the officers turned and headed towards the elevators. Not one officer acknowledged her as they walked past where she was standing, it was almost as if she was now invisible to them. She saw Talia pause and lightly touch Tim's young boot's arm. Even without being in hearing distance, she knew the request Talia would be asking the young boot without the need to hear, she knew Talia would be requesting the rookie to keep both herself and Angela updated on Tim's condition.
Turning away, desperately wishing that she could just disappear into thin air, Isabel tried hard to be invisible as Talia led her boot past her. If Talia had noticed her, she never acknowledged her, as the T.O. and once close friend stepped into the elevator followed closely by her boot before the doors slid closed. Rubbing her arms and wishing she had had a bigger hit for courage before coming, Isabel jumped at the sound of Angela's angry voice behind her.
"Just what the Hell do you think that you are doing here?"
Reluctantly turning around, she found Angela's glaring at her. Swallowing hard, she took a small step backwards as she stuttered, "I …umm … I heard that Tim had been hurt on duty last night. I just wanted to make sure …" Her voice trailed off under Angela's blistering glare before she took a deep breath and admitted quietly, "I still care about him…"
"Yeah, you care about Tim," Angela growled, her eyes blazing with anger as she stared at the other woman. "That's why you left him in the middle of the night without any explanation and without any way of him knowing for the last twelve months where you were or if you were even alive. So, yeah, you really care about him, so why don't you try again!"
"I left him because I loved him!" Isabel snapped, angry that Lopez could even question her love for Tim and the sacrifice she had made for him when she had left him.
"You left him because you loved the drugs more! So don't you dare pretend that you give a damn about Tim! Not after everything you have put him through!" Growled Angela through gritted teeth, her anger close to boiling over as she demanded again. "So, tell me again the real reason that you are here?"
"Officer Lopez, may I ask you the same question?" Angela spun around to find Grey standing behind her, hands on hips, as he continued gruffly. "I thought I just ordered you and West to go back to the station to search through the threats file and to start chasing down any suspects who jumps up onto the radar."
"Just on our way now, Sir." Angela answered, casting one last anger-filled glance at Isabel.
Grey nodded as he watched Angela as she turned and led Jackson across to the elevator. Waiting until his two officers had stepped into the elevator and the door had slid closed, he turned back to Isabel.
"Thank you," She whispered softly.
"Don't thank me, I just made sure that my officers were following my orders." He answered before frowning. "But I also want to know the answer to Lopez's question, just why are you here?" Holding up his hand before she could answer, he added sternly, "And don't try and tell me that you're here because you still love Tim, because we both know that there is no way that I'm buying that."
Moving her weight from foot to foot as the cravings for another hit began to gnaw at her, Isobel looked over his shoulder at Tim's young boot who was silently watching them before returning her attention back to Grey, "Word on the street was a cop got hurt last night. Someone told me that they had been told that the cop was Tim." Isabel shrugged, "Didn't take long to find out what hospital he was taken to." Swallowing hard, she looked back at Grey and added softly, "I-I just had to find out just how badly he was injured. I know that you probably won't believe me when I tell you that I love him and I do care about what happens to him That's why I left…and didn't want him to find me…not when I am like this…Not when all I am is another junkie looking for their next fix." Running a hand through her greasy, unkempt hair, she sighed, "Maybe it was a mistake … coming here. I- I shouldn't have come." Turning, she began to hurry towards the elevator, "I better go…"
Lightly grabbing her arm. Grey waited until she turned back questioningly, to face him before he asked gently, "Is there somewhere where I can reach you to keep you updated on Tim's condition?"
Glancing across at Lucy, silently begging her with her eyes not to tell anyone where she was living before looking back at Grey, Isabel shook her head, "Umm… No… I- I made a mistake even coming here. Tim's better off without me in his life. I-I have to go!" Pulling her arm free from Grey's light hold, she turned and hurried across to the elevator. Stabbing the button to bring the elevator car to the floor, her voice caught in her throat as she looked back at Grey and Chen and begged, "Please don't tell Tim that I was here."

Glancing at his T.O., who was practically strangling the steering wheel as she drove, Nolan had never seen Bishop as angry as she was now. Nervously clearing his throat, he asked, "Can I ask you a question?"
"Was that really Bradford's wife?" Talia replied, asking the question that he was about to ask.
He nodded as his eyes quickly drifted back to the street, quickly assessing the activity around them as they headed back to the crime scene.
"Yeah, she is." Talia answered angrily, not willing to go into more personal details with her boot about Tim's and Isobel's marriage, Isobel's drug addiction or their separation.
John nodded before he glanced across at her again and asked the question that was bothering him after seeing the drug addicted woman. "Do you think that she had anything to do with Officer Bradford's attack? I mean Officer Bradford wasn't even supposed to be on duty last night, the chances are that it was a totally random attack on a police officer."
Bishop shook her head, "I don't know but the fact that she suddenly made an appearance at the hospital after disappearing completely from Bradford's life for nearly a year with no way of him being able to find her puts her right on the top of my suspect list."
"Yeah, that was kind of weird," Nolan agreed, frowning as he turned back towards the window, scanning the streets they were passing again. "It did leave me wondering how she found out so fast that Officer Bradford was injured so fast and what hospital he had been taken to."
