Avenging Angel
Chapter 22
Wesley and Tim were riding in their zone. Wesley's leg was bouncing at 90 mph. He was looking out the window and biting his fingernail. He was thinking of all the things that Elijah could be doing to his wife and Lucy. He wouldn't let his mind go to murder just yet. Angela and Lucy were both resourceful and they at the very least had each other. Tim kept driving. He slowly put his hand on Wesley's leg to stop the movement. Wesley apologized.
"No need to apologize. I'm worried as hell too.", his reply was riddled with exhaustion.
"We have to find them. When we do I'm going to kill him. I will rip his head from his body and throw it into the bay. I need Angela.", he said with enough hostility to scare a Navy Seal.
"We are going to find them. Lucy and Angela are the strongest people I know. If anything they are going to do some damage to him."
"I hope you are right."
A voice rang across the radio telling them to switch to channel 13. Tim quickly flipped and heard Nolan's voice stating that a CI had just contacted them and had a list of possible safehouses that Elijah might stay at. Nolan had texted Wesley the addresses and they proceeded towards the first house.
"Hold on baby, I'm coming.", Wesley mumbled under his breath.
"We are coming. We are gonna get them back and end this.", Tim said authoritatively.
Nolan and Harper took their car and started towards another address. They drove quietly until Nolan couldn't stand it anymore.
"What happens when we find them?"
"We bring them home.", Harper said calmly.
"I meant with Elijah."
"We have enough to charge him. Kidnapping and assaulting not one but two officers top the list."
"What do you think he's doing to them?"
"I don't even want to think about it. I just hope they have given him a hard time."
"We have to get them back. Wesley and Tim will never recover."
"We aren't going to think like that, Nolan. We don't know what's going to happen."
With that, they continued to drive in silence, each worrying to themselves about the fates of their friends.
