If Cassia had to decorate one more sugar cookie, she was calling Quinn to rescue her. Gemma and her had been finishing the last of the cookies for Christmas dinner. Escaping to the family room, she sprawled on the floor next to Jax to watch Christmas Vacation.

When the movie ended, Jax put on Home Alone. This was a tradition of their's, to watch as many Christmas movies as possible before whoever was joining them that year got there.

"Merry Christmas baby," Quinn entered the room.

Cassia immediately sprung up surprising Quinn by jumping in his arms. Quinn was quick to recover, smoothly settling her so her legs wrapped his waist.

"Merry Christmas," Cassia purred leaning in for a kiss.

"Do you have to do that in front of me?" Jax grumbled. Cassia ignored her brother a few moments longer.

When she pulled back Quinn sat them on the couch. It seemed her old man had no intentions of letting her going. His rough hands traced her jaw before reaching into kiss kutte.

"This is for you," Quinn whispered.

Cassia bit her lip noticing the size of the box. Noticing the hesitation, Quinn adjusted so he could open the box. It was a beautiful emerald and diamond gold band. Their birthstones together, it was enough to make Cassia cry.

"Please don't cry baby, it's just a sign of my intentions. Please…" the biker looked at a loss.

"Why is my sister crying?" Jax asked in warning tone.

"I'm happy, it's ok Jax," Cassia said allowing Quinn to slide the ring on her right ring finger. She leaned back in giving Quinn a kiss that let him know how much she cared about him and appreciated her present.

The looks she got from Clay and Gemma were nothing compared to the shock on Tig, Piney and Opie's faces when they heard Quinn and Cassia were together. Once that was handled, the rest of Christmas dinner was actually fun. The intense rounds of cribbage, Scrabble, and Trivial Pursuit brought out the competitive side of everyone. Although Tig refused to play Cassia in Scrabble after his sound defeat.

Cassia lingered with Quinn in the driveway around midnight. He looked just as reluctant to go. But he actually had to head back up to Washington the next day.

"I'll call baby, you just enjoy your break ok?" Quinn pull her against him.

"And you be careful with whatever you have to handle. When will I see you again?" Cassia held in her tears. She wasn't weepy normally but with the change in their relationship and how serious it was, she wanted every moment with Quinn she could get.

"Sometime in January, you'll be back in class probably. I wish it could be better sugar," Quinn tried to sound soothing.

"I know and I learned a long time ago the club comes first," Cassia sighed burying her head against his chest.

"I gotta go…I love you," Quinn breathed.

Cassia's breath caught in her throat. She wasn't expecting an 'I love you so soon'. They had been friends for years though. Cassia moved her arms around his shoulders.

"I love you too Rane."

Cassia tugged him so she could give one last kiss. She hugged herself as he mounted his bike. It would suck being apart for a month. Phone calls would only be a band aid. Rubbing her ring as he pulled out, Cassia waved until she couldn't see him anymore.
