AN: I would love some reviews/feedback. I am thiinking of doing some time jumps to get us closer to season 1. Thoughts? Thank you for reading!
"And then he just left! Leaving me alone with my mother!" Katherine wailed making Cassia wince as they were making their beds.
"I'm sorry Kat, are you going to stay with you mom?" Cassia was dying to ask for details on Bradley Turner bailing on his family, but she knew better than to outright ask.
"I don't want to, she wants to keep appearances up but I don't care. Daddy left me a trust fund she can't touch, so there's that," Katherine sank into her desk chair.
"I know we've only known each other a few months but you are welcome with me over the summer if you want. I'll just double check with my pop, he can be a little grumpy," Cassia teased.
"Thank you I….holy shit what is on your hand!" Katherine grabbed her right hand sending her an accusing glare.
"Rane and I are official. This is my promise ring, he gave it to me for Christmas we had already gotten gifts for each other," Cassia sighed with a smile.
"He has good taste- you and the ring. How did Jax take it?"
"He was about to beat the hell out of Rane right there on the back deck, pops actually punched him in the jaw. But by Christmas Day everything was alright."
The girls continued settling back into the dorm. The next semester would be busier for the both of them. Cassia was happy that Katherine wasn't dealing with a dead father- that had been her fear.

Quinn groaned in soreness as he pulled into Cassia's dorm. He had ridden straight through from Rogue River. He missed the hell out of his woman, wishing she could just ride with him or live at his house. It was too soon for that and he wouldn't take her education from her.
"ID please, who are you seeing?" A much friendlier worker asked.
"Cassia Teller," Quinn said. Cassia was supposed to meet him, he had given an ETA.
"Ok, do you need to call up to her room or does she know your coming?"
"She knows I'm coming," he said. The worker stood.
"I can escort you if you like."
A blonde blur came rushing from the stair well and Quinn barely had time to catch her as she leapt into his arms. He grunted, feeling his ribs protest. He hadn't told Cassia how things had gone to shit on a run. She gave him a few pecks before wiggling back down. He intertwined their fingers dragging him to the stairs.
"Hey Quinn, I'm off to the library but it's nice to see you," Katherine greeted, sliding past the couple. Quinn just gave her a nod of acknowledgement.
"You seem off baby, what's up?" Cassia asked pushing him to the desk chair. Quinn watched her pull herself her full height and assess him. Her blue eyes felt hot on his skin.
"It's nothing, just club shit," he tried. It was the wrong thing to say.
"Bullshit, I can tell your in pain, beyond being sore from a long ride. So again, what is going on?" Cassia cross her arms, still giving him the eye.
"Rogue River some issues with a delivery. It got out of hand and I took a couple of shots to my bullet proof vest," he explained. He watched Cassia go from anger to fear to tears.
"You asshole! You tell me that when it happens. You can't hide that type of shit from me, you said you wouldn't." Cassia moved further from him, her arms still crossed. He had never made her this angry before.
"C'mere sugar," he motioned. She didn't move, sending anger up his spine.
"I said c'mere sugar," he growled, and she still didn't move. So he stood and moved to her; his hands settling on her shoulders. He took it as a good sign that she didn't shrug him off.
"Rane, I need to know when you get hurt. Yeah it scares me but remember I was raised in the club. I don't want you to ever hide stuff from me," Cassia sniffed. Fuck, he hated that he made her cry.
"Please don't cry baby, I'm sorry," Quinn murmured. Cassia quickly wiped her eyes.
"Thank you. Can you kiss me now and then we can cuddle?" Quinn wasn't saying no to that.
After he had made a run out to his bike for his minimalist toiletries and fresh clothes, they did settle into her bed. Quinn liked how it made them have to be against each other. He could use some more foot room and maybe some space from the wall but having Cassia in his arms was damn near perfection. Neither noticed when Katherine returned late that night.
