Sorry I've hadn't been updating because fanfiction has a problem with not accepting my work from Microsoft causing to have writer's block, but I'm okay now and not giving up!
The Spectrum Wars: Round 2 of Gar vs. Slade:
It has been a week in a half since Sinestro's betrayal to all the a Green Lantern Corps. It has been now written in the laws of the book of Oa that the GL Corps are granted permission to use lethal force on the Yellow Lanterns. Right now Garfield rest in Titans Tower as he is now being accompanied by the girls Starfire, Raven, Wonder Girl, Arisia, Soronik, and Katma at the common room.
"Oa is still under construction, so right now the Guardians shall station Sanctuary at Mogo." Katma informs her boyfriend.
"Where's Mogo?" Raven inquired.
"He's a living planet." Garfield answered "He doesn't talk much, but he's basically our strongest Lantern."
"Wait, are you saying even a planet can be a Green Lantern?" Cyborg asked as he was making himself some smoked ham.
"It is nice that you get to stay here, Mate Garfield." Starfire states as she kiss Garfield's lips which makes him feel well.
"Yeah, I'm glad to spend some time with you girls." Garfield comments with a smile that makes the ladies swoon.
"Damn, who knew he has that affect on women." Cyborg comments.
"Yeah hombre, this guy's a real Captain Kirk." Blue Beetle replied as he eats some cereal just as Robin comes in.
The boy wonder wasn't really happy that not only is Garfield's going to have to stay in the tower until Oa's up and operational, and the fact that Gar has a good relationship with the Justice League, knows and has a good relationship with Batman, his replacement, and even Batgirl, his ex-girlfriend who's interested in dating Garfield.
'How is it that he's more well liked than I am?' Robin thought angrily as he marches towards the kitchen getting him a snack 'Sure, he's defeated criminals in space, and knew Superman before he was Superman, MET THE JUSTICE LEAGUE AND BEEN INTO THEIR FRIKKEN WATCHTOWER WHEN IT WAS FIRST BUILT!'
Garfield's ring starts to beep as he answers "Hey Hal, what's up?"
"We've just got some intel on one of our League spies infiltrating the Secret Society." Hal informs. "Sinestro has joined in their ranks."
"Sinestro!?" Gar and the Lantern girls exclaimed.
"That's right, so now Sinestro's the League's problem as well as the Corps. Deathstroke works with them as well and with him using the Yellow Lantern ring, a guy like him will be unstoppable!" Hal told with worry.
Garfield remembered his ultimate defeat at the hands of the one eye mercenery and he noted all of his injuries he had taken from the Yellow Lantern and he growled which captured everybody's attention as his muscles clentched and his claws grew. "He's mine." The changeling growled in existance. "I will have my revenge."
"Revenge? What do you mean, Mate Garfield?" Starfire asked in concern.
"On Oa I fought Slade...and I lost, horribly." Garfield growled as he stood up and clenched his fist. "I will stop him."
'SLADE'S MINE!' Robin roared as he crushed the can in his fist. 'ONLY I WILL DEFEAT, SLADE!'
Suddenly, the Titan's screen pops up as the Titan's old nemesis, Slade, appears "Greetings, Titans, and Green Lanterns."
"Bastard!" Garfield shouts as he stands up, but felt a painful surge from his leg 'Dammit, not now I just got healed!'
"Garfield, I haven't seen you since I killed that Lantern." Slade states in a calm tone "What do you call her, Boodi?"
"Boodikka will be avenge you heartless monster!" Arisia shouts at the one-eyed madman.
"Temper, temper, I was just going to speak to you all about my latest plan, now I have the Yellow Lantern's ring." Slade told as he change himself into a Yellow Lantern "Courtesy of the Sinestro Corps."
"That won't stop me!" Garfield yelled as his eyes shinned red for half a second. "I will have justice for, Boodikka!"
"You couldn't even last ten minutes in a fight with me." Slade dismissed with a flick of his hand. "Sure you did better than Robin but still you are nothing compared to me."
'BETTER THAN ME!' Robin yelled in pure outrage. 'I'M THE BEST TITAN THERE IS!'
"I will get better and I will stomp you to the ground!" Garfield yelled at the one eyes man. "You nor that damn ring will stop me!"
"Then prove it. All of you are happily to come to the old car factory, if you don't." Slade moves the camera as it shows Laira, tied to a chair without her ring, as she looks devastated.
"Laira!" Katma exclaimed as she saw hate for the mercenary "You dare to hurt her!"
"Come to the destined location, and let's see if you can take on me." Slade spoke as he cuts the feed.
"Lanterns, let's move out and show Slade no mercy." Garfield spoke as the Lantern girls nodded in agreement.
"Hold up!" Robin calls out "Slade's Titan's enemy, so only we go!"
"Slade's a member and intergalactic criminal of the Sinestro Corps." Garfield retorts to the leader "And he has one of our own, so if you want to live, stand down."
"What makes you think you're the boss of me?" Robin challenged.
"Can't you see I'm sparring your lives from the power of the Yellow Lanterns!? Geez Batman and Jaybird are right, you are a hardass!" Garfield states.
"Watch it green boy." Robin growled at the Lantern. "I'm Robin!"
"And I'm...well, I'm me." Garfield smirked before flying off without paying anybody else's mind. "Slade, you are going down!"
"So he will come?" A teenage girl in a one eyed mask asked the older male as she came out of the shadows. "The Lantern?"
"Yes, Rose. He will come and he will fail." Slade coldy chuckled which even sent shivers down the young lady's spine.
"Yes father." Rose nervously replied but she was able to keep that from her voice.
"My Ravager is my secret weapon that will crush you, Mr. Logan." Slade whispered to himself.
Garfield flew towards the factory as his mind is filled with rage 'I will end you, Slade, for Boodikka!'
'Yes...let rage consume you, Logan.' the dark voice told him as Garfield's eye twitch.
'No Garfield, you mustn't let rage consume you.' another told him 'You must remain calm.'
'What the hell?' Garfield thought as he enters the factory as he looks for his girlfriend. "Laira, where are you!?" he shouts as he hears muffle noises, as well as a kunai falling straight to his direction. Luckily he has constructed a shield to block it.
"You got good instincts, cutie." spoke a female voice as Garfield looks through the shadows as a girl with silver hair and wears the same get up as Slade. "Father is right, you are better than Robin."
"So Slade's your father." Garfield states. "Sorry to disappoint you and all, but I'm going to have to take your father down if he doesn't hand over both Laira and the yellow ring."
"He has no intentions of doing that." Ravager stated with a smirk. "Father, doesn't believe in keeping his word."
"Pitty. I had no intentions of allowing your father to live either way." Garfield commented with a fanged smirk. "He'll pay for Boodikka and he'll suffer for laying hands on Laira."
"Someone doesn't like to share." Ravager mocked as she felt her chest tighten at the jealousy, as she always wanted someone to love her like this male Lantern loved the female Lantern. 'He doesn't think that we are good enough for him. None of us have ever been good enough, Grant.' "Jealousy is killer for a relationship."
"Have you ever been in a relationship before?" Garfield questioned with a raised brow.
"No." Ravager growled.
"Didn't think so." Garfield smirked.
Ravager charges in as Garfield constructs a shield from her katanas. Ravager brings her sharp blades in to hit him with his green shield as she thought up a plan as she drops down and raise her boot to kick him on his chin.
Garfield rubs his chin as he winced. "You're a tough little lady, I give you that." 'Damn, and I thought Vixen's flexible.'
"I've studied at the HIVE academy." Ravager states as she saw Garfield constructs a large sword as he charges in towards her as he clashes in with her katanas.
"Where's Laira!?" Garfield demands.
"Wouldn't you like to know." Ravager said as she sticks her tongue out as she head butt the young Lantern.
"Damn, you're literally headstrong!" Garfield comments as he rubs his forehead.
"Tell you what, I can tell you where my father and your girlfriend is, if you do something for me." She said in a sultry voice.
"Let me guess, a date?" Garfield asked.
"According to the teen superhero magazines, you're the most desirable teen hero to date." Ravager states as she looks at him lustfully.
"Fine." Garfield instantly agreed which made the girl blush.
"W-What?" Ravager asked in shock, as she never really excpected for the Lantern to accept and if he did then not so fast anyways. "Y-You mean that?"
Garfield with his enhanced senses noticed the pink tinge on the girl's face and smirked to himself. 'She might be a villain, but she appears to be a regular teenage girl who's father is a bastard.' "Yes. What is your name?"
"Rose." Ravager whispered in embarassment at her name.
"It's beautiful." Garfield replied which made the shy girl blush more. 'She is shy. That's ironic.' "I'm Garfield. Why don't you come by Titans Tower later."
"I-I'd li-ike that." Rose mumbled to herself as she pushed her hair behind her ears. "He's in there with the girl."
"Thanks, Rose." Garfield told her as he flew towards the direction to where Slade and Laira are.
He enters to a big room as he spots Laira, still tied to the chair as Garfield flew towards her.
"Laira, I'm here." Garfield said to her "Where's your ring?"
"The man has it, Garfield it's a trap!" Laira yelled in freight. "Please don't risk! Just leave me to die!"
Garfield looked the girl in here eyes and deeply kissed her which lifted her spirits as she felt her life be renewed. "I'll never leave you. I'll stop Slade and I'll save you." 'Slade will fall!'
'Give in.' A chilling voice rang in his head. 'Let your hate drive you.'
'Best plan I've heard all day.' Garfield thought as he cut his girlfriend free and was met with a yellow katana to his throat when he turned around. 'He'll burn in hell for what he did! My hate will send him there!'
'Do not do it, Garfield!' A voice rang out in his head as he got headbutted by the man.
"I've been the most feared man on Earth, and now soon the whole galaxy." Slade spoke as he uses his yellow katanas to aim it at Garfield's chest, but the young Lantern disappears from view. Slade looks around as thanks to the human enhancement he's given to by the government, he can sense the buzzing noise of a fly behind him, as it shifts into Garfield to attempt to kick him, but Slade ducts down and kick Garfield square jaw.
"Using your meta abilities even though you have the ring? Now that's cheating." Slade states.
'Give into rage!' The voice in Gar's head told him.
'No Garfield.' The calm voice warns him 'Remember your Oath, do not let rage consume you. The only way to not let your enemy win, is to stay calm.'
'Leave me alone!' Garfield yelled at the voices as he was once again kicked in the face when as a red ring appeared in the window. 'I will defeat, Slade!' "I WILL END YOU!"
"The young Lantern is losing his control." Slade mocked as he effortly envaded the green teen's attacks before kicking him into a wall and watched as his daughter helped the female Lantern out of the room. And the green ring flies out of his pocket. 'Rose, has betrayed me.'
"Don't worry I'll save you." Ravager told the young Lantern as she carried the girl.
"Why are you doing this?" Laira asked as the ring slipped onto her finger abd her uniform formed around her body.
"A date." Ravager mumbled with a blush.
"What?" Laira questioned as Starfire, Raven, Wonder Girl and the Lantern girls showed up.
"Garfield, promised me a date if I helped." Ravager mumbled again.
"Where is! Mate Garfield!?" Starfire frantically asked.
"In there fighting, dad." Ravager informed as the Lantern floated out of her arms.
"Dad?" Raven asked as she looks at her "You're Slade's daughter!?"
"Yeah well, I've betrayed him for a date with the cutie fighting him." Ravager replied. "You can track him with your ring, right? Best advice, don't interfere a fight between men."
"Pray Hera I hope he's alright." Wonder Girl said with worry.
"What's the matter, Slade? Losing your touch!?" Garfield spoke as he hits Slade with a large green hammer as the mercenary stumbles back.
"I am not losing my touch, boy." Slade respond as he prepares for Garfield's next attack.
Garfield prepares to strike Slade as he notice behind the psycho is to his surprise, a green light figure that
looks like his predecessor, Torkar'i.
"Torkar'i?" Gar muttered in shock.
'Do not let rage consume you, Garfield.' Torkar'i's spirit advised him. 'All it could bring to you is pain and suffering. Killing him won't bring back Boodikka, Tomar, and the other fallen Lanterns. Do not let hate consume you.'
"Torkar'i." Gar whispered as her words gets through in his head 'What am I doing? I'm a Green Lantern and we don't kill even our law states that we use lethal force to take down the Sinestro Corps since yellow's the enemy.' he thought as an idea pops up in his head as he's going to use the one weapon he's good at.
His smart mouth.
"What are you smiling, boy?" Slade inquired as he saw the smirk on Garfield's lips.
"Well I was thinking that after I defeat you, I'm going to take your daughter on a date." Garfield said as he looks at Slade clenging his fist. "Maybe I can take her to a night out of town and check out a love hotel." he was met with a katana near his face as Garfield quickly dodges it as he laughs.
"You are a better challenge then Robin, but you will not lay a hand on my daughter." Slade angrily told as he now sees bloodlust in his eyes as fatherly instincts kicks in.
"Oh, looks like big bad Deathstroke has a little soft spot after all." Garfield mocks. "The world's deadliest assassin, but can't let his own daughter to date? I think she has her own choice to decide to date, Rose is a beautiful name after all."
Slade angrily constructs a machine gun as he shoots down the young Lantern as Gar dodges every yellow bullet shot at. When Garfield disappears, Slade continues to shoot as unexpectedly, Garfield kicks his head successfully.
"You can't always win wars with that smart mouth of yours." Slade barked at the changeling.
"I bet ya you lost a lot of wars." Garfield counters with a confident smirk.
"Boy, I was a Colonel when I was your age!" Slade retorts as he brings out his yellow katanas again as he attempts to kill Gar, but the changeling dodges it again as Garfield constructs green iron boxing gloves as he hits Slade's masked face, then his stomach, then his kneecaps as Slade grunts with blood spilling out of the holes from his mask.
"Don't you know, old man? The young will always succeed the old." Garfield states as he punches Slade again as the mercenary crashes out of the wall.
Slade gets himself back up as he glares at the changeling "I was right, you are better than Robin." he said as he gets up. "I respect you now, Logan. How about I take you up in my wing?"
"Sorry, but I don't accept offers from psychopaths." Garfield told the one-eyed mercenary. "Besides, you're surrounded."
Slade looks behind as the Green Lantern girls, as well as the Titans girls surrounds the mercenary. "Surrender the ring, Slade, by the orders of the Green Lantern Corps." Laira orders as she aims her ring
towards him.
"How about...no?" Slade deadpans as he uses his ring to make him disappeared from capture.
"Damn it! He got away!" Garfield yelled as he used his ring to try and find the one eyed man. "How could I have let this happen!?"
'Because you were weak.' A voice rang in his head.
'It wasn't his time.' Another commented but he didn't recognize the woman's voice.
"Alright girls, let's just get back to the tower." Garfield stated as he hangs his head in defeat but he preps up with his girls around him.
"Why did you do that?" A green male with broad musclular shoulders, pointy ears and a fangy smile asked the gothic attire girl with a black umbrella as she looked into a liquid sphere. "You've never met him, or am I mistaken, Death?"
"Because Garfield, we will still have needs for him." Death replied with a smirk as the man wrapped his arms around her waist as she smiled. "You have always been my favorite of the Garfields."
"How are the other me's doing?" Garfield asked as his mistress opened different window to different demintions. "A lot of universes with me and Raven together, me and Starfire, heck and even one with Cheshire."
"Khimera, is in great peril." Death commented as she watched as Waller plotted to kill the Titan leader. "Maybe I can do something to help him?"
"Beast?" Garfield inquired.
"No. Wanyama maybe. I can convince him to do it." Death smirked. "If not then I can send you in."
"Yeah. Oh, do you think you can convince Madame W to send that Parker guy to that universe over there?" Garfield asked as Torkar'i's soul appeared in front of them.
"I just want to say thank you for letting me convince young Green Lantern Garfield Logan to not let rage consume him." Torkar'i told them as she bows.
"No problem ma'am, the last thing we need is that me turning into a Red Lantern." Garfield states.
"Abous that." Death sheeply smiled. "He will become a Red Lantern."
"WHAT!?" Garfield and Torkar'i yelled in shock.
"Don't worry. It's not that Garfield and besides he won't be stable enough to do what we want from him." Death replied as she blushed in embarassment. "So many Garfields that even I forget which is which. This Garfield is on Earth Five, the one I was referring to is from Earth Nine."
"Death, help him." Garfield whispered as he imagined what would happen if this Garfield became a Red Lantern. "At least he is safe now."
"Not really. He will have other run-ins with rage and a red ring, but I'm confident in him his abilities to
over come his own rage." Death stated grimly. "It's the other rings that worry me."
"But what about the Robin there? You know sooner he's going to be one of the Rogue Robins." Gar asked her.
"Well let's just wait and see." Death told him as they go to another channel. "So what's going on with Mark and Elena?"
