Nyx
I heard pounding on the front door of my house in Alexandria.
"Nyx! Negan's here. We need you." I moaned in frustration and sluggishly grabbed my sweater, putting it on and then grabbing my daggers before heading for the door.
I walked out of my house not caring about locking the door behind me and headed towards the front gate. I shivered as a chill spread through my body. It was getting colder. I reached the gate to find a crowd of our people. I looked up to the guard and nodded at him to open the gate. The gates opened and there Negan was standing with his bat on his shoulder with his signature cocky smirk on his face.
"Well, well, well I don't see Rick anywhere in sight. Did he run away with his tail between his legs," I stepped forward, "No. I was left in charge of Alexandria in his place. I know why your here and I have something to offer you and your people so you don't have to worry about walkers getting past your perimeter. I can show you, but only if you promise not to pillage everything from my people."
I walked closer to him so I was in front of him and looking into his eyes. I felt another chill travel through my body.
"I'll decide whether what you have to offer is enough," I scoffed at him, "fine, follow me."
I started walking towards the fence of Alexandria. Luckily, I could hear his footsteps so I knew he was following behind. I stopped in front of the first sigil I had on the outside part of the wall around Alexandria. I turned to him as he stepped up to the fence. I placed my hand next to the sigil.
"This is what keeps the walker's out. I have these around Alexandria and the Hilltop. I can do this for Sanctuary as well," he chuckled and grinned, "show me."
I nodded turning my focus to the sigil. I placed my hand on the sigil and a faint purple dome appeared over Alexandria. My vision started to going blurry so I pulled my hand away and turned to Negan.
"I can do this for your people. I will have to come around every month to renew it. I can do it today if you leave my people and we help provide for your people on our terms. I'll keep a list of what we have and if you ever need anything then ask." I looked down and felt something start dripping down my face.
I felt light headed and wiped my nose. I looked at my hand and saw lots of blood.
"Darlin," I used my sweater and wiped the blood away, "I'll go with you today and I'll get it done."
I pinched the bridge of my nose and used a small healing spell.
"Are you sure you can do this?" I looked up at Negan.
I was surprised to see that he looked genuinely concerned for my well being. I just nodded.
"I can do it. I'll ride with you to Sanctuary. Please give me a moment." I walked back towards the front gate.
I made my way through the group of people and quickly found Daryl, "I need you to be in charge while I'm gone and until either Rick and I come back. I'm headed to Sanctuary with Negan and plan to be back in a few days."
He nodded in understanding. I turned away from him and walked back towards Negan who was standing outside the front gate for me. I stepped out of Alexandria and my people closed the gate behind me.
"Am I still riding with you," Negan smirked at me, " Of course you're still riding with me, Darlin."
He turned and started walking towards his truck. I followed behind him heading for the passenger side of his truck and climbing in. I shut the door and settled in. Before I knew it we were driving away from Alexandria and I was leaning my head against the window.
