AN:Hi guys this is chapter two of Naruto ga daisuki and I hope you liked the first one. I am going to strike for 2k words every chapter but it might not happen considering I get writer's block a lot. I honestly don't know how some people write 10k words in just one chapter *smh* Maybe they get a week or two or something. This is a lot of Sasuke and Naruto interaction. I don't want to say bonding but it's something like that. A little OOC in Sasuke and Naruto sorry. Without further adieu, here's the 2nd chapter of Naruto ga daisuki!:
Chapter 2: Sasuke?
Naruto woke up in the hospital. Think. What did he remember…Oh yes. Iruka's death. The thought of Iruka dying put a heavy weight on Naruto's shoulders, that for the life of him he could not get off. 'It's all my fault' Naruto thought. He had come to that simple conclusion for a long time. Even when he killed Mizuki. But even that didn't matter now. Iruka was dead and everyone probably already knew. And now he would get ridiculed like never before. As Naruto was in his own world like everyone else liked to call it he didn't notice the figure dressed in black standing close by.
Sasuke looked at Naruto calmly as Naruto's face went from one emotion to another. From blankness to sadness to anger to self pity to rage. Naruto reminded him of what he looked like when he found out his brother had killed all of his clan. For the first time in a long time, Sasuke felt bad for someone other than himself. He remembered when he found Naruto next to a decapitated Mizuki and a badly stabbed Iruka with the forbidden scroll, it didn't take a genius to figure out what happened. Mizuki had tricked Naruto into stealing the forbidden scroll to pass and because the dumbass wanted to pass so badly he took the offer. then Mizuki and Iruka fought and Mizuki had obviously won only to get an ass whooping from Naruto. "…" The only thing in Sasuke's mind that didn't Make sense was how could Naruto have beat Mizuki when not even Iruka couldn't. Did Naruto get stronger really quick somehow? No…this happened after he failed so that couldn't have been a possibility. Sasuke's musings were paused when Naruto decided to go and try and punch him. Sasuke was shocked but quickly moved to the left of where his face just was. "Nnnh" Sasuke watched as Naruto grunted as his fists hit the wall leaving a nice bloody dent on the wall. "Dobe what the hell" Sasuke said as he narrowed his eyes at the blond boy cradling his right hand. "That's for knocking me unconscious teme" Sasuke sweatdropped as he could not believe that Naruto was that mad about him knocking him out. "Hey, it was for your own safety and don't try to blame anything on me. I didn't ask you to go and kill Mizuki-sensei." He should not have said that because he saw Naruto's sunny happy eyes turn dark. "Shut..up" those words were laced with so much hate that Sasuke thought it should be impossible for someone like Naruto, who was always so sunny and happy go lucky and so innocent. "Dobe, relax." Naruto took a step forward and then another step forward until he was nose to nose. "Listen, Sasuke, you haven't felt the pain that I have. You at least had parents, you got the chance to know what it feels like. Me? I never knew them. Had to live alone and my one father figure...dead. so don't dare tell me to relax." At the end of Naruto's ramble he was practically in tears. Sasuke was wide eyed as one of Naruto's tears landed on his cheeks. "Naruto, it's okay" Sasuke didn't know what to do as he had never had to deal with this kind of thing. Just as Sasuke was going to push Naruto away because of the closer-than-needed contact, the door opened. Naruto and Sasuke jumped and Naruto tripped and then landed on Sasuke with their lips colliding together. The nurse saw the scene and promptly closed the door with a blush on her face. Naruto was stuck in this position from shock but quickly got off of Sasuke. As Sasuke watched Naruto spit all over the sink trying to get Sasuke's spit out of his mouth, he glided his fingers to his lips feeling the warm tingly feeling that he kind of enjoyed? No that can't be…right? Sasuke quickly shook his head and focused on the blond that was in front of him. "Naruto." After just finishing spitting he looked up at him and said, "Yes?" Sasuke swallowed his pride and because he had to anyway he said, "I have to walk you home." Naruto's face went from confused to angry. "HELL NO!" Sasuke slowly mumbled, "Well hokage-sama did say that." Naruto looked pissed. "Fucking Gigi…." Sasuke looked at Naruto and he got a good idea. "Hey Naruto." Naruto was still rambling but managed to say, "Yea?" Sasuke took a deep breath and prepared for what was going to come. "You are on team 7, which consists of Kakashi, me, you, and Sakura Harun-" Naruto's eyes lit up. "SAKURA! Yes I got an almost perfect team." Sasuke raised his eyebrows at this "I have a better shot at getting Sakura on a date with me now that's she on my team!" Sasuke dropped his eyebrows and shook his head, a movement that Naruto saw. "Why are you shaking your head?" Sasuke sighed, "Naruto's you have to stop chasing Sakura she doesn't like you she likes-" Naruto quickly muttered, "You. I know that, but the thing is that you can't give up, you never can, I would know…If I didn't give up I wouldn't be here right now." Sasuke raised his eyebrows wanting to ask what he meant but quickly Naruto said, "The only way I give up is if she has a boyfriend." At this point Sasuke wanted to smack Naruto upside his head. "Naruto I'm not saying this because I like Sakura or something, I'm just saying that ever since the first day of the academy (four years ago) She hasn't accepted one of your thousands, maybe even millions of tries to get her to date you." Naruto turned beet red. "Sasuke, you are probably saying this because you like Sakura yourself, you selfish bastard." Sasuke replied with a short no, so Naruro yelled, "THEN PROVE IT" Sasuke looked at Naruto in surprise. "How am I supposed to prove that, dobe?" At this Naruto turned from angry to thoughtful in a matter of seconds. Sasuke was entirely confused on how Naruro does it so fast. "By kissing someone other than Sakura." Sasuke smirked, "That's easy, most of the female's and some male's would kill just to kiss the pavement of where I walk." Naruto turned red again. "How come you get everything and I don't!?" Sasuke was surprised by Naruto's sudden change of mood. It's probably because of Iruka's death he concluded and before Naruto had the chance to punch him again he took Naruto and teleported outside the hospital so that he would be able to get some fresh air. Maybe it'll help him think better and gain some brain cells before he punches them out of Naruto. Sasuke quickly walked Naruto home and told him to go to training ground 37 for the first day of training as a genin.
Naruto woke up with a groan as he realized that it was 10:00 am. "SHIT" Naruto yelled as he was supposed to meet with team 7 at 8:00. "No!" What if because he was late they already started training. Or maybe Naruto was going to be kicked out of the team and forced to repeat the academy again. Naruto grabbed a PBJ sandwich as he ran out of his door, "At least I'm close by."
When Naruto got there he saw a very pissed off Sakura and a calm Sasuke, with no sign of our sensei. "Hey, where's Kakashi?" Sakura Screeched, "HE ISN'T HERE!!!" Naruto covered his ears as he felt like his ears were about to pop. "Sakura-chan, there's no need to scream." Sakura looked at Naruto like he had two heads. "What are you doing here?" Naruto winces as he notices the venom in her words. Naruto knew that Sakura didn't like him…yet, but he didn't know what he had done to make her upset. "What did I do?" Sakura looked at him uncaringly; like he was just a small peck of dirt. After a while Sakura finally spoke up "You are just a wimp. I was so happy when you failed so that I'll never have to see you and have Sasuke all to myself!" At the 'all to myself' part it caused Naruto to raise a brow. "What do you mean all to yourself?" Sasuke deadpanned as he knew what was about to come. "Didn't you know? He said-" Sakura was thankfully cut off by Kakashi, who promptly landed right in front of them. Even the oblivious Naruto took notice of how Sasuke seemed to be relieved by Kakashi's interruption. Naruto took note to ask Sasuke about that later but for now his focus was on this Kakashi dude. After Kakashi finished his speech on how we didn't really become genin, and how we had one more test to go through. "So I call it the bell best. I will give you until noon to take these bells from me. ready, set, go!" Naruto groaned as he got ready and went for the attack.
Naruto yelled again as he was tied up to a tree. "KAKASHI, YOU SICK BASTARD! COME BACK!" Oh well, as much as Naruto yelled he didn't come back. "Hey look on the bright side, at least you're eating!" Kakashi said that in such a fake happy voice it made Naruto shudder. Naruto suddenly remembered how Kashi had specifically told Sasuke and Sakura not to give him any food. Naruto closed his eyes and waited for the 'you failed' to pop out of Kakashi's lips. Instead Kakashi said, "You…..PASSED!"
Naruto opened his eyes. "Really!?" Kakashi just nodded as Naruto grinned and as Sasuke smirked and Sakura smiled. "Ok let's go, follow me, let's have a treat." As Naruto tried to walk he noticed that he was still tied and with a yell he screamed, "HEY" Silence as they seemed to ignore him "GUYS" Silence again "WAIT!" Naruto thought 'come on' before he got a shadow clone to help him down. As Naruto did that, it didn't go unnoticed by Kakashi whose eyes widened. Kakashi thought, 'I have to tell lord third quickly.'
Wassup guys…I'm back with an update the very next day. I know right, I'm way too generous and you guys should bow down to me! *Laughs like a maniac* anyway I don't know about you but the whole thing feels more like filler than anything. Maybe the Naruto and Sasuke part at the top wasn't but I don't know about that. The Naruto and Sasuke part felt kind of awkward or weird for me, tell me if I should fix it and I'll repost the chapter. Also 2k words!; while not exactly the 2.5k I was hoping for, to make you guys happier, it's definitely better than my old chapter lengths of like 400 words. ALSO, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, I am going to be done with chapter 3 by today but am going to either post it tomorrow or the day after depending on if I need to make a lot of edits or not. *Shakes head aggressively* Oh and guys should I try and get a beta? Don't forget to review because I didn't get anything from the last chapter, and while I understand that it's my first chapter I was hoping for at least one.
